Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: 5 stars

The beach was amazing, the resort was awesome, the people/staff there are so warm and welcoming and family oriented and the fact that they speak 3 different languages was very convinent to everyone. The food was ok. The live entertainment at the resort was amazing and fun. Although There should also be more excursions offered, and the mosquitoes were killers at nights, I highly recommend staying at Iberostar daiquiri in Cuba!

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Beautiful Resort

The resort is very clean and beautiful. Great service overall. I didn't like that there were flies sitting on the food in the buffet restaurant and the food wasn't kept very warm. But overall, I really enjoyed myself.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Love Iberostar Playa Mita

Loved our stay at this resort! Beautiful place with it's own private beach where you can swim in. Sunsets are spectacular to watch on the beach. Service was great and very helpful when we wanted to book day trips. Waiters are attentful and food was amazing especially the mexican cuisine! Im happy i booked our vacation at this resort and i would return.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Disappointed!

I have traveled to Cuba many times and have stayed at various resorts from 3 stars to 5 stars. This review is based on a comparison of my past experiences. Iberostar Daiquiri is listed as a 4 star but should be a 3. The hotel is in need of refreshing and just general maintenance. We experienced rooms that had shower heads shooting water everywhere, drains that didn't drain, rooms with doors, walls etc. black with finger marks from not being cleaned, bedspreads with stains, bath/hand/shower t [... read more]owels that had to be asked for on a daily basis, fridges that were never restocked unless you tracked down the person responsible for restocking them, just mediocre conditions. The grounds were not well kept, the grass hadn't been mowed for weeks, weeds growing everywhere, work being done around the pool, what should be beautiful fountain areas in the lobby and on the premises had stagnant water. You can tell that there is no one that takes any pride in keeping this resort clean and prestine. There were things dropped on the lobby floor and I watched as it stayed there for days. Glasses were dropped in the buffet area and it took 15 mins for someone to show up and clean up the broken glass and juice, as patrons tried to walk around the mess. The breakfast and lunch staff in the buffet restaurant were inattentive and slow, showing no interest in serving and helping the guests. The food, well, you're in Cuba, so you know how that goes. However, on two occasions as I waited for my fish and meat to be prepared, there was a cockroach that scurried across the counter. Most of the time we got our own water and drinks. Things are just not done with any class. The men who worked the dining room at dinner, were excellent, however. They were friendly, prompt, courteous and catered to our needs, bravo to them! Let's talk about the catamaran cartel. Non-motorized sports are supposed to be included in the package. However, the catamaran crew have there own business going and are more interested in charging 20 CUC a person to transport people to a site for snorkling, leaving the beach without any catamarans all day. Considering they finished their shifts at 4 pm daily, I watched, each day as they started to put away the peddal boats, kayaks, catamarans between 2 and 3, so we had nothing to use. Of course, they would then use one boat to take out their family or friends that were waiting on the beach adjacent to the resort. On the weekends, locals come and use the resort beach chairs, the men ogle and disturb the girls lying at the beach and they leave behind all their empty cans, plates etc. All this, never gets picked up by hotel staff. In my opinion, aside from a few excellent staff members like Fidel at the lobby bar, Eddie at entertainment and Paoblo as the doorman, the rest of the staff run the place the way they feel like, there is no sense of the resort being in control by an administrative group, the employees rule the roost. I would give service at this resort a 1/10. If not for the spectacular beach, I would have regretted by choice altogether. If you care more about service and less about the beach, I would recommend Dhawa to you. I was there in March and there service is top notch, but the beach is not that great, too bad!!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Awesome Resort!

This was our fifth time at the Iberostar Daquiri and it never disappoints! Even after 4 years the staff genuinely remembered us and made us feel at home. The resort is laid out beautifully so everything is only steps away without feeling small, the beach is perfect, the food continues to improve with each visit.

This place had everything beautiful beach amazing entertainment...great drinks very friendly staff Alahondro was our favorite beautiful scenery great photographer rooms were wonderful lots of excursions to try best place we have been by far

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful resort

Over all Resort is very beautiful well maintained. Al cart buffet is good no complaint .my family enjoyed more then japanish tappniyaki. In 5 days of stay only get to go once to gourmet because all other days were booked so we didn't have chance to try Itelian . Hotel Mojito: Good Resort

We enjoyed our stay at the Iberostar mojito overall. The rooms we clean and spacious. The buffet was not big and the food a little bit repetitive, however everything was tasty. The beach was a little too far from the resort for my taste. The boardwalk was being repaired and it was a bit of a hike to get there. The entertainment was really good. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful resort!

The size of the resort is on the small side. You do not need to walk for long distance to from beach to your room and to the buffet. It is kids and family friendly. The room size is good. The workers are friendly. The beach was sandy and good for swimming.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing Resort

All was amazing. Friendly and caring staff. We will definitely visit again. Truly enjoyed the excellent hospitality. It was beautiful looking at the ocean from our balcony at sunrise while drinking cappuccino. The linnen was changed daily and our mini fridge was filled daily with bottled water and colas.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Friendly Cuba

This was our second stay at the Iberostar Daiquiri in Cayo Guillermo. We were relieved that nothing much had changed. We love the location, the people and the rum in Cuba. Our room was clean and we'll kept daily. I would have liked the floors a little cleaner but this was no sticking point for us. The buffet food is the best as the stand alone restaurants leave a little bit to be desired in terms of the quality of the food. Staff were excellent though. Our flight out was at 10 am and the dinner was for that night. Guest Services did not have our departure info when the letter was delivered to our room. All I all we would return to this location and would give this hotel a solid 4 out of 5.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing resort.....something for everyone and every age

Fantastic resort.....yes it needs a few upgrades which they are doing in stages. Grounds amazing, beach amazing. Food is great by Cuban standards.....love the beach grill..... Lobby is amazing and Yuly and the food manager is amazing.... Can't wait to go back in September.....

Grand Memories Cayo Largo: Good resort!

What i really liked about Iberostart Villa Marinera it's quite and cosy place. It's really good to go on a family vacation and get away from the city noise. The food was surprisingly not bad at all despite all the talks people say about food at Cuba hotels. The selection wasn't really wide, but that's ok with me. One downside was that actual beach is a ferry 10 min travel distance from the villa but depends on how you look at it. There are also free busses running from villa to main Iberostar hotel with the nice beach and all the services included if you are a villa dweller. Overall it was a very good vacation for a descent price. I would definitely consider coming back one day.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Third time in this hotel

It's my third time in this hotel. 2 times 10 years ago - was amazing. This time - good In a nutshell: people working really hard to make your vacation nice. Very compact and convenient for all activities. Facilities are very dated, didn't like the beach, luck of activities during the day. Reception: poor. Servers - outstanding. Room: very dated, but our cleaning lady was amazing.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Could have been better

The hotel rooms were very dated and our bathroom ceiling leaked, staff were told but nothing was done. My Brother and sister in law joined us, their room was much bigger than ours even with just the two of them, I had to sleep with my son as the beds were not big enough to accommodate 2 adults. The pool was always warm/hot and very cloudy and turned out sons hair green and ruined our bathing suits. Poolside drinks machine didn't work the whole 2weeks and we always had to que to get a drink.  [... read more]On a meeting we attended with staff, they admitted that this particular hotel was the lowest quality hotel of their collection, but it was a very expensive holiday for us. As always delays with flights. Not a hotel we will use again.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Hot Summer Week

After reading past reviews we were not sure what to be ready for here. Bus ride was good on way to hotel we were first drop off. Upon arrival at check in , no welcome drink but our room was ready early so we got in fast unpack and hit beach. Can't be healthy ? It was easy to get a lounger any day any time, catamaran and peddle boats worth the trip to marina peddle to sunken ship. Two bars at Megano beach !! The walk to both beaches is not bad with the odd golf shuttle carts , Ensenachos Beach is amazing clear and shallow with plenty of loungers but only one drink station so we used Megano more plus it was closer to our room. First night A la carte we went to wrong place we were gladly seated and had a great meal lobster and chicken ( no Beef available ).Breakfast was usual buffet style which we were careful what we ate, it was true what we read they do not clean tables fast and move very slow in buffet. Food on whole was not the best but its Cuba were we go for the beach. Our room was very good king bed ,full washroom everything worked and was good. Bar fridge restocked daily. We were in adult only area with the pool a 1 minute walk away, huge pool with a lunch menu and bar, we ate here most days and ordered off menu items was good. Lots of chairs and loungers, as this was 18+ we were shocked to see kids about 12-14 with same wrist bands as us ????? After paying more for this it was not acceptable when reported to front desk was like oh well u see them call us !!! how we are in Cuba ? Once air Canada rep involved action happened , the manager had people checking as staff at pool thinks adult is 12+. The manager found us offered us free upgrade meal . Entertainment was good but once show was over that's it, this is quiet area of Cuba. We bought Wifi cards and they worked no problem. Just a few fixes could make this resort great . The Bank get there early as they run out of money. We found out during summer they discount rooms to Cubans to fill resort so i guess this is where the kids get in adult only? I will learn more Spanish to help with communication but they need more english trained staff as it is Canada's resort favorite Loved the beach ,the animation team ,mangrove was interesting but work on food !!!!!

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Enjoy being spoiled!!!

Just got back from an eight day stay at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall and can't say enough about this amazing resort!!! The staff are outstanding and make you feel at home (it was so hard to leave) but definitely will be back. The hotel itself needs a little updating but it still has a very strong Caribbean feel (the red carpet in the hallways can go though). But it's quickly overlooked when you are poolside or on the beach being pampered with drinks!!! Aldain at the Pool Conceirge was always attentive to our needs at the pool waiting with fresh towels and a friendly smile! The entertainment team is above all else (and we have travelled to many resorts!) THEY ARE ALL SO TALENTED!!!! The food was exceptional and the variety allowed for everyone to enjoy!!! We are so happy to have gone and can't wait to return!!!!

the hotel grounds were very clean and nice, the beaches are the best in the world. the food at best was a 3 star. The rooms are large and clean. The working staff was great. But front desk and customer service was really bad. To bad!!

Hotel not as advertised. Definetly not a 5 star. 3 max. Had 2 rooms. 1 room no working A/C , fridge broke but they fixed, Room 2. Fan not working, closet door broken, toilet broken but fixed No bathroom at the beach Bathroom at the pool out of toilet paper constantly Bathroom in lobby out of toilet paper constantly Rooms not cleaned very well or at all. often they took the towels and didn't replace them. Hotel Mojito: Geat resort, great staff!

night show is amazing, beach is beautiful, tables always set up nice and clean, room is good size and comfortable, plenty food...Because there are some lakes between the rooms and the beach, so lots of mosquitos in the early evening, need prepare enough mosquito spray.
