Vista Sol Punta Cana: 4th time here !!

As always, everyone here tries so hard to make your stay comfortable. It is obvious that Covid has hit the island with shortages but we still had a fabulous vacation. It took a couple tries to get a good room where everything was working but once we got settled in, we had a blast. Japanese, Italian and Mexican restaurants did a marvellous job. JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Incredible Resort

First of all, Victoria Guest did a great job on our booking to this resort. Resort is amazing, truly 5 star. Rooms, layout, pools, beach, all great. Restaurants are overall good but the need for reservations is a pain. Italian restaurant needs better Italian food; lasagna and spaghetti are not good. My wife hated the fact there is a woman employee always looming in the washrooms. The need for a butler is questionable but he was nice. Beyond that, the place is spectacular.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Fabulous Vacation

I can't say enough good things about this resort. The grounds are breathtaking. Food was amazing. The rooms are very clean and updated. The cleaners did a great job cleaning everyday. The servers and bar tenders did a great job getting to everyone even when the bar was super busy. I pools were warm, maybe even too warm but we spent most of our time at the beach swimming in the ocean. This resort lived up to everyone of my expectations. I would 100% vacation here again. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Exception Grounds

Overall we were really pleased with our stay at Be Live after bit of rocky start. We arrived at 11AM and had to wait until 3 for room which was expected. They gave a towel cards and bracelets so we could swim and eat which was awesome. Our room was in an awesome location ground floor next to one of many pools but probably due to covid had been closed up for a while and had a real musty moldy smell. We were hesitant to change it due to perfect location so stayed 1 night but it was too much. They  [... read more]were very good about changing though we had to wait until 4pm when new comers were all checked in..they up graded us to a junior suite which was absolutely awesome..the grounds are like nothing we have ever seen..so clean and manicured..pools were all really well maintained. The beach was beautiful but you had to be there early to put a towel on your chair or u were out of luck. We kept our same spot all week. Reception desk staff seemed over worked but all other staff out of their way to be friendly. I think our biggest surprise was the food..my wife is a fussy eater so I was a bit concerned but she just loved the Windows Buffet with all the many choices..she was trying everything. A la cartes ..the Milos Méditerranée was really great..went there twice..japanese and Mexican were also great. Steak house bit if a disappointment. We only did 1 4 hr excursion for snorkling on the happy fish..Really professional group. Booked through Viatir on line but u can book through hotel vendors and there are lots and lots of vendors everywhere. All in all this was an unbelievable adventure and we would return. Just heads up..they will do everything possible to rope you into a hotel time share seminar..we had been through it before so they gave up on us after 10 a bit but our neighbors were stuck for 3 hours though they told you up front 60min.

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

This resort exceeded our expectations. Although large, the layout is well thought out and all the restaurants, stages and live music were in the same area which made it more social. The beach was wide with ample chairs and numerous palm trees for shade. We’ve been to a lot of beaches and this was the best! The water is a bit rough along this stretch but still turquoise and easy to swim in with no coral. They cleaned up the seaweed every morning. Would have liked to have more music and dancing at night and not so much ‘dead’ time after dinner when people are waiting for live music or even a DJ. Would definitely go back again.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: A top resort!

The design of the resort was amazing and easy to navigate through. The preferred option was very good which included a separate beach area. Restaurants were very good and people were friendly. Only one restaurant, in my opinion needed some improvement in the food and service but overall a great experience. Will definitely go back in the future.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Noisy and Disappointed

More of a family and very young noisy guests.Not a relaxing holiday food repetitive and cold.Drinks below average. High expectations but enjoyed Majestic Elegance resort better 12 years ago . Would not go back

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Beautiful resort

The resort is quite large. Found the boulevard area far enough walk. Was disappointed that the casino did not have any slots - only had 2 card tables. Although the resort website states casino. The beach - pools - food were all great! Front desk employees and most restaurant servers were very pleasant.

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Amazing resort!

This resort was amazing! The people, the food ! Covid protocol was fantastic! This resort was so clean ! I have already recommended this resort to friends and 2 have booked already! There is really nothing I can complain about, the check in went great, got to our rooms quickly which were amazing! This is a fantastic resort and I would recommend it to anyone who asks! Definitely would return!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Big, but a nice relaxing resort.

The grounds, pools, restaurants, rooms, buffets, were all good. The people were fantastic. They bend over to please you. I was told not to, but still did the H-10 sell to buy on to travel the world with their resorts. You are family till you refuse and say no- thanks to the offer. Don't waste your time with that. You would have to spend over 25 years travelling with them and MAYBE work out in your favour. Sorry, back to the resort. We choose the privilege package and was very happy we did. [... read more] You end up in a room by the ocean. Poolside view is better. Pick it when you book! The upgraded drink package was worth every penny if this is important to you! It is a big resort, so you can walk to the restaurants or wait for the rides that circle and pick you up. Sometimes a bit of a wait for them. Finally, a big shout out to Mike our butler. He was great to look after whatever we wanted.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Beautiful resort

This resort is spotless. Rooms are huge. The grounds and the pools are immaculate. Unfortunately there was little shade around the pools. The food was a little disappointing. It became rather repetitive after a week and was barely lukewarm.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Wonderful Stay

We stayed at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro from March 30th to April 6. The hotel is beautiful as are the grounds. The rooms are well appointed and house keeping was amazing. Our butler’s were always helpful and friendly. The food was good except for the Italian restaurant that was bad the others were good. The ocean and beach simply the best I guess the only wish for us would be less fish at the buffet and open up on other item. We would return for sure.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Still a great resort!!

First of all, this is our 3 time at this resort in four years and we can say that we still love it there. There were a couple of issues but one wasn’t the resorts fault. The beach was a lot rougher this year and a lot of seaweed. The second issue was the food. The previous 2 times we were there the food at the buffet was great. This time it wasn’t quite as good. Cleaning staff weren’t as good as before but generally our room was ok. Hard to get face cloths. Not much entertainment at night. Pool was great. All and all it is still a good resort to vacation.

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Don't Waste Your Money- 7th time to Punta Cana-1st time Disappointed

First let me start by saying we have never complained before at any resort but feel this one needs a review. Here is the good about the resort. 1. Grounds are very nice, beach is awesome, there is a couple of awesome bar tenders Juan at the swim up pool and Alberto at beach bar. Both were amazing at their jobs. There are many good staff there but most are overworked. Now for the bad. It started when we got on the bus. All 6 of the passengers were on the bus quickly but we waited for over an hour for a guy to jump on so that we could leave. ( all the other big buses left long before us). We were told that we were waiting for a Transat representative but when the guy got on, he was a friend ,we just drop him off at a bus stop about 10 minutes away. When we arrived at the resort we were over an hour late. Check in was terrible, they were trying to upsell people to Impressive Premium (from the Impressive Punta Cana), a pool view or ocean view rooms for $100. per/couple which by the time we got checked in we really didn't get what we had paid for. (We could see a corner of the pool but really did not get what we expected and we paid MORE upfront when we booked. Check in took till after 5 to get a room. Should have been in at the latest by 3pm. Language was a huge barrier. The room was large but never had towels or toilet paper and was not clean at all, bed was like sleeping on logs. We keep the room very neat to make it super easy for the maid, plus tip every day and didn't really get good service. (Not enough staff and they are way over worked).The food was absolutely gross. Never hot even in the Al-a-carts. Its like the restaurants cook everything ahead for fast turn over. Buffet was always cold, nothing hot at all. The pools were dirty which could be cleaned up very easily. Mold, hair scum line all around the pools. We talked to many people and they all felt the same as we did and were all disappointed in the resort. Honestly, this really should not be classified as a 41/2 star resort, it should be classified only as a 3 star and we are disappointed that Air Transat is the tour operator of this resort and advertised it as a 41/2 star. In closing we love Punta Cana but not this resort. We would not recommend this resort and when talking to other guest we have all came to the same conclusion that the problem is a management problem and really could be fixed quite simple if management spent some time addressing the problems rather then telling guests it is full and they can't do anything about it and if you're not happy just leave. Honestly they just don't care. They are counting on people wanting to travel and that it will fill up anyways. They shoundnt be counting on RETURNING guests. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Very disappointed.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Awesome Resort!

The Riu Republica was amazing! Beautiful grounds, beach , rooms .. great service.. had a cake brought to my table for my birthday! Rooms are clean and well stocked .. staff are very friendly and helpful..

Impressive Punta Cana: It was fun!

We really enjoyed our stay at Impressive Punta Cana! Everything was very clean, the grounds were beautiful and the staff were kind & accommodating. We also enjoyed the food and were impressed with the variety on offer. The beach is gorgeous. We didn't have any trouble finding beach chairs and appreciated the the conveniently located bars ;) We ended up upgrading to Premium (thank you Argenis!) and, while the room was almost identical to the original, the view was 100x better. Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort!

This resort is beautiful, the grounds were well kept, they were always cleaning, grooming the grounds. We stayed in the family section over looking the pool with the water slides. Rooms were fabulous, clean, fairly new so not worn out like some others we’ve been to. We missed out on preferred club but we had the premium junior suite pool view and loved all the amenities, the turn down service. Be sure to tip him, full uniforms with masks on in the hot sun and was always happy and singing. Restaurants are a la carte and no reservations required except for one, the Asian restaurant. The buffet was just ok, wasn’t much variety, if you want bacon go early as it only comes out once! If you have littles with you I found there wasn’t a lot for them, no fries or chicken fingers etc. although the fresh fruit was local and amazing. The staff was extremely friendly, only con would be very few knew any English at all so made it a little hard to communicate. All wore masks as well. The entertainment was ok, dance party in the early evening then some type of music show at 9:30. There was a Madonna tribute which was actually quite good. The gift shops, ice cream parlour, hamburger shop and cafe all require masks as they are quite small. They also all ensure you sanitize once you enter. The beach was beautiful, soft sand no rocks. There are some vendors but there’s also security who make sure they don’t hassle you too much which I loved. We were very impressed, the pics on the site are exactly what you will see and get. It’s not overly large so your walk to the main building wasn’t a pain. It was an all around amazing vacation. We would definitely stay there again!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Decent trip

Hotel was beautiful and clean. The pools were great and not over crowded. The staff for the most part was very good and friendly. The beach isn't huge but has good seating and the water while we were there was fairly calm and warm. Now our only real issue is the restaurants.... The food is ok but nothing to rave about. Tge biggest issue is the reservation system and the face that you can't plan because you have no idea what is going to be open or not. It really frustrated me There is a webpage  [... read more]that you can see but reservations don't work and you have to search out each day to see what is open instead of a full schedule. It bugged me enough to really only taste this a 3 outta 5

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing resort

The Melia caribe is an awsome resort. This was our first trip south and probably not our last. The staff on the resort are so friendly and happy. Its a very clean place. We felt comfortable there with the covid situation. You had to wear a mask while going threw the buffet until you were seated at your table. The staff always had a mask on whether they were inside or out driving you on the golf cart. They were very helpful with the covid testing at the resort. The food at the buffet was awsome [... read more]. A big selection and always something different to try. You can smoke on your patio at your room and there were ashtrays outside in places also. The store on the resort had alot of different options as far a souvenirs. The cleaning staff came every day to clean the room and put fresh towels. Our fridge was filled daily by Marcos Aponte. He was a really nice guy and very helpful. The beach was amazing and had showers to rinse the sand off. The beach was very clean. I would recommend this place. Rachel was awsome in getting our trip planned and I would definitely Rachel as a travel agent.

Ocean El Faro: Nice resort

The resort itself is nice. The service was not that great nor was the buffet food. The A La Carte's were great except for Route 66. I don't know if it was from Covid or lack of guests over the past few years but the servers were not very friendly. We had Privilege and only saw and heard from our Butler, Carlos, twice.
