Muthu Playa Varadero: Very run-down

If you choose to go there, be prepared for anything! (No shower, no hairdryer, flood in the room, ceiling about to collapse, no toilet paper, broken door, very old mattresses, no elevator, etc..) You name it, we had it but laughed through it all because we were ready for anything! Will never go back and do not recommend unless you’re ok with a 1 star at best.

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Do not stay here

The resort is completely run down. Our door barely opened, the inside handle fell off the first time we tried to get out. Toilets wouldn’t flush, patio door barely opened and mold on ceiling. Air conditioner didn’t work. Maids would t change sheets or towels and forgot to fill water every 2nd day. When u called the front desk, had to call 3 times before got anything. The food was horrible ( worse then used to in cuba) and they ran out of all booze daily except rum. Do not recommend!

Club Kawama: A little tired

My 91 year old father and I enjoyed our stay at kawama. Some of the rooms have seen better days, but my fathers room was spacious, had hot water, a working safe and was on the ground floor as requested. Although our accommodations were initially far apart, the staff went out of their way to get me closer to his room. The towels were clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. Playa Pesquero: Mediocre Resort

Our first room was unacceptable, we had asked to be close to our friends, it took us two days to change have it changed. Both rooms were rundown, they required maintenance. There was no hot water, it was luke warm at best. The shower head leaked and water squirted everywhere. There was a leak in the ceiling on the second last day, and soaked the floor. None of the plugs for sinks, bedet etc., worked. The phone didn't work, the internet (wifi) was very weak at best. We understand the e [... read more]mbargos on food, however, there was not a lot of variety and tasteless. There was no white wine anywhere to be had. Even the a la carte's left a lot to be desired, except for the Gondola. IT was good. The entertainment was very disappionting. The staff at reception was very unattentive and didn't seem to be interested in resolving any issues, we had to return a number of times, and finally speak to the manager twice. The men's washrooms were not working most of the time in the lobby, and we had to use the women's washroom resulting in a unisex situation. It was very long travel days, almost 11-16 hours due to delays. It was a long way to go to have a mediocre vacation. The grounds, pool and beach were beautiful.

Hotel Tuxpan: Friendly Staff

We enjoyed our weeks stay at Tuxpan Hotel. The resort is big enough to have all the amenities but small enough to appreciate the wonderful small staff. The beach is fantastic and the gardens are well maintained.

Melia Cayo Coco: Love the resort

Our third trip at this resort in the last two years. Well run place. Staff are fantastic. Understanding the issues in Cuba this resort stands above many others. Beach fantastic. Pool bar staff are great. Food is decent and never an issue finding something to eat. Rooms more than nice. Grounds beautiful. The staff at the Meliá ensure your visit exceeds your expectations of a Cuban holiday

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Club amigo

The staff working on the resort were amazing. The rooms and resort itself were up to par for what you pay for it other than my room had no hot water. I knew of the food shortages before going and was completely fine with the food other than the lack of fruit. My biggest complaint was they ran out of rum almost everyday and had nothing to mix hard liquor with or make drinks with so really all there was to drink on a typical day was beer or whiskey. Starfish Jibacoa: Beautiful resort

Wonderful quiet and cozy resort, beautiful and well-groomed territory, friendly staff. A little "tired" but clean rooms, comfortable beds, new and quiet air conditioners. Excellent beach, corals near the shore, good for those who like snorkel. The choice of dishes in the restaurant is quite decent, a large selection of sweets. It was our first visit to this resort, but we will definitely go back there

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Not satisfied at all

Rooms are not cleaned lot of flies and mosquitos . Food not good flies over food Beaches are good . Pools are ok House keeping service poor Wifi connection bad You can't get nothing more for the money you paid

Playa Costa Verde: Have Visited Many Times!

We have visited Playa Coste Verde at least 8 times over the years, and go back to connect with the incredible staff as it is just like going home for us. If you are looking for the most modern & up-to-date facilities, you won't find them here, but everything is well maintained & clean. There are lots of shortages in Cuba at the moment, so some food items aren't readily available, but the chef & staff did a great job of being creative & offered many different choices each day. It's really impor [... read more]tant for us to understand that the people of Cuba face overwhelming challenges and it seems to get harder for them each year, so I would encourage you to take along some items that you can leave behind. Health & beauty, feminine hygiene, and shoes are just a few examples. Please tip your servers as well.

Dhawa Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing staff, Average hotel

Starting with good stuff, Gabriel at the lobby bar and Sunay in the buffet always went above and beyond whenever we saw them. Toilet wouldn’t fill had ti fill the back with the shower, and foods bad.

Melia Internacional: Very nice place

Food was good and restaurants were very good grounds was clean and pools were great. Didn’t have the level but didn’t miss the benefits. Rooms we’re clean and everything worked fine. Did the Havana tour and enjoyed it a lot.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Amazing Resort and Room Services

Room Services is excelent , resort stuff Worker and Menagement is on high level and very friendly and helpfull and Treat guest very Well , Food is decent , Very Quite and great resort and right place for vacation Note’ thise resort exist on one most beutifull beach in Holguin Region Playa Blanca/Playa Pesquiero

Huge pools, good food, clean rooms, beautiful property & staff, no shortages of food or drinks, tons of restaurants, beautiful beach, lots of boating, snorkelling is amazing, don’t hesitate to stay here, go to all of the a la carte restaurants!

Playa Pesquero: Most beautiful resort with a beautiful, beautiful beach

The grounds and the public areas were always kept clean. Rooms are perfect but Wi-Fi was never available. Shortages of food and liquor for fancy drinks was a huge disappointment and unfortunately I cannot rate this hotel more than three stars.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Hey, it's Cuba

Patriarca Varadero, about 20 minutes by taxi from Varadero, 40 Valentin Patriarca, Varadero about 20 min by taxi $20 or 40 minutes by open top bus, 5$ US credit card only. The resort, like all others in the area are about 40 years old, so the buildings, rooms are dated. We stayed in the Elegance section upgrade, private pool for about 60 units or so. Separate restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner or other choices, 3 or 4 courses, plus as many ala cartes, choice of 5. The resort, tho [... read more]ugh dated and in need of some maintenance that they are working on.. The place is clean, the grounds are beautiful, ocean was close, beach nice. Service was great everywhere, people are great, 2 weeks which IMHO is why Cuba is special and you overlook the shortages or shortcomings. Everything they had was well presented. You don't go hungry or thirsty.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Be prepared & understand where you’re going

While this resort is nice, Cuba is experiencing shortages more than normal right now. Upgrade to the “Royal” side if possible. Simple things we take for granted like butter, water & coffee are all hard to come by. Adding to this, the bugs are also out and craving humans more than I’ve ever experienced before. Had the weather cooperated, our vacation would have still been good. Sadly, we didn’t get much sun either. Outlets are also all used for lighting that seems to be, at best, mood lighting.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: An honest review read all

This resort was beautifully maintained maids at the public bathrooms all day constantly tiding. Guys up on ladders cleaning air vents and always puttering around painting things. The food was very well done, as to be expected in Cuba style. The room was beautiful and clean AC worked ALMOST the whole time. Bed was really comfy and the shower was amazing. Understandably so I know they are going through some crappy stuff. We stayed in the Sanctuary which is adults only... and here is where my disappointments came in. There is a very small options buffet for breakfast and lunch on the Sanctuary side if you want to avoid the kids. However if you want a hot breakfast unfortunately the buffet is not kids free, nor are the al a cartes or beach. Every night between 8-9 in the lobby (also where the sanctuary bar is found) they do kids entertainment... My spouse and I are early birds so this was really disappointing to us having our final drinks of the evening listening to baby shark and kids screaming sucked. The beach party on Thursday would have been amazing but again... over ran with kids even after 9 when their entertainment was complete. We ended up at the Sanctuary pool for a majority of the trip because the beach was filled with kids no spots set aside for adults only. I love swimming in the ocean and snorkeling so this was really disappointing. My recommendations to this resort would be to take advantage of the beautiful fun club you have on the other end of the resort and do all kids stuff there. Considering half your resort is the Sanctuary guests I think it's safe to say most people don't want to be seeing kids during the evening relaxing. There should also have the beach separated as well it's a huge beach so their is no reason why the kids can't stay down at their end and leave the sanctuary side as 100% adults only including beach. If it weren't for the issues with paying for adults only and not really getting to experience that, I would say this is easily a 4/5 star resort unfortunately the kids took that way down for me.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin: Beautiful Resort

This is a really great resort. The lobby is expansive and leads to well maintained rooms. The rooms are large and well equipped. The pools are well maintained and have many chairs. One negative is there is a slight lack of shady areas around the pools. The beach is beautiful and had many shady areas. The. A la cart restaurants were quite good. Melia Marina Varadero: Not good experience

The first thing we have reached resort at night 10pm and dinner time was over so they said only snacks is open we said that's fine also wifi is terrible except the level room. We were 5 people with 2 year old daughter they mention it's family resort but nothing kids facilities works, kids pool kids day care were closed. Also at the reception the 2 girls who claimed they are receptionists but they don't know anything about the resort, whenever you asked for something they will straight out say no [... read more] except trying to find out what we were asking for. Food as we expected as it's Cuba they are having some issue with food. Also in rooms there were not flush working in both rooms at all we have to walk all the way to lobby to use washroom every single time. I am pregnant 6 months and I had to use washroom every hour and I had to walk to lobby. They don't do housekeeping by asking 2-3 times in a day. After requesting them to sort out as I was having hard time they have upgraded to level room service with room on lobby floor as their lift was out of services since 2 weeks. I had to go on 7th floor for breakfast, lunch and dinner 3 times in a day as pregnant women. Thanks to that lady who was manager at the level room services she have seen me I was having issue and she supported throughout our stay and also all the servents at the level room were excellent specially valdimer(putin) he was used to come from 7th floor to lobby for our services so we don't need to do up and down. Food is good for Cuban people for sure but for Indians you will get hard time to survive with there food. There is one indian restaurant in Havana food was good. Regarding resort they put 5 star but they are hardly 2 star. If you fo 2 star than you expect this kind ot service but after charging for 5 star and get this services not good at all. Also you need to give tip all the time to get basic services. At the pool they have snack bar, If you don't give them tip they will not Give you food ?. If you book please book level room services otherwise it's worst experience. I can give 5 star to level room servent and services only.
