Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great Vacation all-around!

We just returned from a one-week stay at the Iberostar Costa Dora resort in Puerto Plata. The resort has a fabulous setting both the outdoors (landscaping and the beach) and indoors (rooms, bars, restaurants, disco, etc.), as well as friendly, courteous, professional and attentive staff. We were especially impressed with our main restaurant waiter, JOEL, tennis pro, PABLO, and our room housekeeper, KENIA.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Loved it!

Great hotel for families, we had a great time with our 2 year old. It was very hot in July but the beach was the best I've seen. The pool and water park were great for all of us. The food was so so but you don't go to Cuba for the food. The staff were lovely and the kids seemed to have a really good time at the kids club. There was an hour of kids dancing and games on the stage each evening and our little one loved it.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Beautiful.resort

When entering the resort it is visually beatuifil. Check in was fast and friendly. The room was very nice comfortable bed and great shower. The steak.house and.Italian alcarte were great we upgraded to star prestige which was very nice. For.us the only down side for this property was way to many kids. From.here on in its adults only for.us. Shout out to.Raul our concierge he was fantastic

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great Resort

I stayed at this hotel for 1 week and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The room was clean, as was the pool and grounds. The staff were all friendly and worked very hard. Checking in was slow but at least we were greeted with a nice tropical drink. I liked the location of my room, room 1015, which was close to everything. The food was good. Iberostar Selection Varadero: Great time, very accomodating

Gorgeous five star in Cuba, with activities throughout the day, and good food. Room is massive, including a huge balcony and the staff are very accommodating to every need. Maid spoke English perfectly and was helpful to every request. Lobby bar is great place to grab a coffee in the morning, gym is a decent size with aged but functional equipment and after a gym session be sure to ask the gardner to crack open a freshing coconut for you! I loved that the resort was small. Family rooms were great. The entertainment and activities were awesome. Clean and well kept grounds. Food was good, but the Japanese was excellent!! The beach was nice, a little seaweed but nothing to keep people out of the water. We would go back.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Iberostar Suites Montego Bay

Great service, associates, food, drinks, pools, spa, activities, shows, and very clean. Only cons were tv went wonky a few times. They replaced it. Also wifi wasn't working in our room. Room can be damp if you don't run the a/c constantly. They do a good job of keeping panhandlers off the resort. Very safe. Close to airport.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great time

The hotel is very big, lots of walking .grounds are beautiful, both beaches - Megano and Ensenachos are gorgeous, crystal clear water, good areas for snorkelling and for swimming. Our room was in SPA section and very comfortable. The only complain maybe that bath towels were not changed for a few days. Other people complained about food- I found food is very good, lots of choices especially for seafood lovers.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Excellent resort

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet hotel. La nourriture était bonne et varié au buffet...porc, poulet, boeuf, poisson, pâte à tous les jours. C'est un petit resort donc tout est à la portée. 2-3 minutes de marche soit pour aller à la plage, à la piscine, au loby, buffet, etc. Une petite recommandation serait d'améliorer la propreté. Des déchets trainaient encore près des chaises à la piscine le matin. Les chambres sont propres, mais pas les corridors.

Iberostar Rose Hall Suites is so amazing for a family vacation! The hotel was amazing - great food, outstanding staff, sooo many fun activities for the kids. Close to airport. Lazy river. Multiple pools. Clean beach area. There is honestly nothing to complain about.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: The best resort in Cuba

This hotel was great. Good service, Food and fantastic beach with no rocks just sand. Padel boats free as well sail ride. Great room maids. Clean hotel. Great for kids. Great pool bar. Beware the purple Spagetti

Just as advertised. Perfect. Great people, amenities, facilities, pools, restaurants, and beaches. The water park is amazing for kids. My wife and I would definitely come back with the kids every year.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Worst resort

After been in Cuba 20 times, never a complain ,this its my first time I'm actually complaining, Food terrible!!! Even cockroaches in the Asian and buffet!! Customer service terrible! I have to call 10 times to get water or towels, no water for 2 days , we have to buy our own water. Very loud people everywhere very low class from Cuban to South American (and I'm spanish), no snack bar open 24 hours we arrived at 1130 pm hungry only to find the buffet with some left overs and all the light out.  [... read more]We had a piece of bread in the dark that was our welcome!! Rooms very outdated very uncomfortable bed with white spiders inside my bed! We got bitten every night.Again, after 20 times in Cuba 10 times in Cayo Santa Maria, We had the worst experience and this it's our last time in Cuba ,things are changing and not for the best.Dont get confuse when you read reviews on this place, all the 5 starts it's for the club one area. Not the family section of spa, very deceiving.

Just came back from Iberostar Costa Dorada,and from the start I would emphasize that this resort is a solid skinny 4 star. the layout of Iberostar Costa Dorada is excellent not too big not too small, everything is close by. Nice gardens ( not as big as in Punta Cana) Buffet has lot of virility and dinner menus are changed every evening. Japanese restaurant has nice presentation and food is good. Brazilian has lot of meat and the meat can be uncooked. Bars are all great with excellent choices of alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails. For coffee lovers coffee in main buffet not so tasty. Ask for cappuccino at the main bar instead. One major issue for me was that the beach was very windy and the water full of seaweeds and lot of debris and even garbage. When its cloudy the beach is dark green and murky, even on a sunny days the beach is not as same as would be in other parts of D.R. The staff did not clean the beach at all and you will be always approached by local vendors and selling you tours, souvenirs or hair braiding, too many interruptions while on the beach. Due to above we spent most of our stay in the pool. On the weekends pool can be very crowded and not so clean. Iberostar has a special promotion for locals in summer months that allows them to check in on Friday and check out on Sunday. During that time the resort is loud and locals have no respect for other guests and staff. At times they can be rude and pushing at the buffet and bars. Pool need renovation

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Enjoyable but...

Small size resort- perfect for finding your way around with ease. I dislike resorts that require shuttles to get around! Food was excellent- I am vegetarian and was able to find something at the buffet daily. The restaurants were very good too- definitely recommend the Asiatic! Spent most of my time at the beach or off doing excursions...not necessarily by choice but because the main pool was CLOSED for 4 days of the week we spent there. As a result of the pool being closed, the beach became increasingly popular and it was tougher to find a lounger but still... loved the crystal clear, shallow water - beautiful. 20 minute walk to Playa Pilar beach done once- stunning beach and water but not worth going multiple times since the resort beach was very similar. Did the Jeep safari, sunset cruise and snorkelling excursion to Isla media luna- all great trips. Be warned...when you drive the jeep, the terrain is a true adventure! Overall, nice resort and food but I will visit another resort in the future due to the pool situation not being addressed promptly. This is a make or break feature for us.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Good for Cuba

I went with my family and we had a good time. Very nice kids friendly hotel and most of the people were able to understand English. Lots of activities through out the day and the entertainment staff were friendly. The reservation buffets were nice elegant evenings as they soothed your mind and body with beautiful music. Sometimes at the snack shacks beside the pool we had to chase the birds away from coming on our chairs and attempting to eat our food. Those times we had to go into the pool after to get off most of the sand so that we wouldn't bring it back to the hotel.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: BEST VACATION EVER

The resort was just beautiful. The staff was very welcoming and they provided efficient and great service. Also, the resort was very clean and accomodating. I recommend for people to go to this resort.

This resort is very comfortable. Not too big or too small. It's just right. Very friendly and outgoing staff. Everyone works very hard to make your stay enjoyable. All requests ( crib, baggage pick-up) were all handled promptly. The buffet offers a wide variety of choices, from lobster to fresh fish, chicken and pork. The food was delicious. Great shows! Probably the best one's I've seen in Cuba. They did water acrobats too! The grounds are well kept and charming. The kids splash pad is also fantastic with water slides, a park and kids club. Very family oriented. The beach was well kept, white sand. Low tide you can walk out more than 10 metres! Beautiful, beautiful. Had a great time and will most likely go back again.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Beautiful Spot

We stayed here Jun 6-14. The grounds were beautiful, staff were very efficient, shout out to Joselito who took care of everyone in the pool bar. The food was amazing every day but one, lots of choices! The beach was good until about 2pm, then the winds seemed to pick up a little bit (this was a new experience for me, I usually stay on the beach all day, maybe the time of year?) Our room was on the ground floor, no issues with the room at all. Beds were comfortable and I appreciated having a thicker top blanket because I found the air conditioning a little cold. Our maid always had cute new things in the room and stocked the fridge daily. I had heard people were receiving Budweiser but thankfully our fridge was stocked with Presidente! I'm not usually a resort person, but if I was choosing a resort I would stay here again.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: No need to go anywhere else!

I just got back from Iberostar Rosehall Beach Resort, where my friend and I spent our second stay there. Each time just keeps getting better. We can not say enough good things about this resort. The room was nice with an ocean view which we got upgraded to because we were returning guests. There were a few issues which needed to be resolved within the room but they were very friendly and compensated us very well for any inconvenience. The food was amazing. At the buffet you can find anything you [... read more] could possibly want. The a la carte restaurants were very good as well. The hotel is beautiful inside and out and grounds are kept very well. Everyone you see from front desk, bartenders, security guards and entertainment staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. In my opinion the entertainment staff are what makes this resort irreplaceable. The nightly shows are amazing and kept us laughing all week, and during the day there was always something going on that could keep you busy. Special shout out to Mr. Neat, String Bean, Teddy Bear, Pinky, Cupcake, Cordell and Stacy of the entertainment staff, you made our stay very memorable and you truly are amazing at what you do!
