Riu Flamingos: excelent resort

grounds manicured...10 out of 10 public areas.....9 rooms.10 dinning.10 people.10 room service..10 we got ear infections ..doctor at resort and customer service were (extremely )helpful and compashinate only complaint.too many vacationers for one (bar pool ) no other pool to just relax...non drinkers would not like it

Riu Playa Blanca: Very nice resort!

Rooms were beautiful...our view...not so great. Looked out on the wetlands. Grounds were well kept, although they were adding the new washroom in the pool area which is a great idea. Food was good. Nightly entertainment was fun. We did find a lack of afternoon entertainment(music). Staff was vey friendly! I think more advertising of local restaurants and the casino would be good. All in all had a very nice relaxing vacation. Beaches were very nice, had read some reviews saying otherwise. Did take the water-taxi to Pipa's....fun afternoon. Also didn't post the nightly shows in the lobby.

Riu Guanacaste: lovely place and people

Room was large and nicely decorated.In room wet bar was a bonus! grounds are nice, beach was great; food was always good in the buffet-restaurants were not superb except for the steak house. Hotel itself needed some maintenance (painting and repairs)but didn't affect our trip quality. I would go back for sure!!

Riu Playa Blanca: Great Vacation!!

Everything was just right! We came for a vacation and to celebrate our 25th anniversary ! Never a disappointment at all! Loved the staff in every area...pool.beach/meal service areas nothing to complain about! Some people........will GE cranky

Riu Republica: Love this resort!

The hotel was always clean. The staff was amazing! We always ate at the buffet because there was such a variety of food. The animation team was excellent very friendly. This was our 2nd time there and I would definitely go back.

Riu Republica: Fantastic Resort

From the Front desk to the rooms...excellent service. Very helpful and nice. The food, waiters and bar tenders were very friendly. The entertainment at the hotel amazing and the hotel entertainers at the pool full of energy, friendly and fun. Especially Chanty and mostly Bernice. Always a pleasure to visit. Thank you

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Still a lovely resort!

This resort in my opinion is one of the best. If you think it is run down they will be updating in 2018. I have seen much worse hotels in my travels. Staff are lovely, grounds are simple but well kept. Food is pretty good. Beach is beautiful!! It is the type of hotel where you can do what you want as long as you are not bothering anyone. Seems to be a place for an older crowd that still likes to have a bit of fun.

Hi Julie, re trip to Costa Rica it was fantastic the hotel service, room, meals, grounds and staff was amazing, only one draw back is the communication. We enjoyed everyday. Thank You Pearl/Mytle/Monica/Liz

Riu Reggae: Very good resort

Overall, this turned out to be an enjoyable vacation. Initially our room view was terrible, looking onto the Riu Palace walls next door, but they changed our room to a courtyard view the next day. The hotel itself is new and extremely clean and very compact. Restaurant and bar staff are exceptionally accommodating and friendly. Food is as great in quality and variety as our last three visits to Riu Ocho Rios. Beach is OK, not great.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Awesome Resort

Having read all the positive reviews about the Riu Palace Jamaica we had to check it out. The resort was absolutely amazing, the people so friendly, the service second to none and the food fantastic. The rooms and public washrooms were spotless and we had a wonderful time. It was everything and more than you could ask for. We only wish that the entertainment had stuck to the theme nights instead of changing part way through but this was minor and had no effect on the enjoyment of our trip. Riu Palace Costa Rica: Awesome vacation!

Glad we took the advice of the travel agent and stayed here. The resort grounds were beautiful with a very modern, open design, so you never felt boxed in. The staff were extremely friendly and always serving you. The rooms were quiet, clean and modern looking. The food was very tasty and had enough variety to please everyone. We made use of the kayaks and paddle boards which were included. The resort is right beside the Diamanté Eco adventure park which made for an easy excursion to do th [... read more]e thrilling 1.4 km long zip line. I full recommend this resort and would stay there again.

Riu Palace Mexico: very good resort

the ground the building and restaurant were very clean. The beach was amazing. Only issue at the beach was the beach bar was too far. The people are friendly and willing to help. Very good services. Some people did complained about the air conditioning in their room, we had no problem.

Hotel shows a little wear, friendly staff, clean, food good, lots of young children if you have some, beach well maintained and good, entertainment at night not that good, ala carte restaurants not always open during off season

Riu Palace Mexico: Riu Palace Mexico

Loved the hotel. Beautiful. My only complaint was the weather. Very very hot and humid. I would only return in the Winter months. A friend's allergies were bad because of a moldy smell. I loved the shopping at 5th Avenue but again it was too hot to enjoy. The food was the best I've had at any of the resorts I have been to.

We were very pleased with The Riu Palace Mexico. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The facilities were beautiful. The food was amazing both at both the buffet and the a La Cartes that we went to. The rooms were spacious and the bed was very comfortable.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Riu Palace Peninsula: Always perfect

Every personnal give their best to statisfy their customers. We feel be at home, meals are perfect and well présented. Different animations every Day. Every body could find games or sports for satisfaction. Night animations are présented with professionalism. Singers and dansers are perfect

Riu Palace Mexico: Awesome time

From the food to beaches, everything was top notch. Will definitely come here again. They have tons of food choices and dessert items. In room service is great! Everything is close by so you don't have to walk alot.

Riu Guanacaste: Great vacation

The Hotel was nice. We enjoyed our vacation very much. The rooms were clean and well looked after. We had our dinners mostly in the Italian Restaurant. The beach was clean sand was black and course. We walked along the beach every morning.

Riu Playa Blanca: Would not return - even if it's a beautiful resort

The beach is NOT golden sand like Sunwing describes it. It is black volcanic sand, which would be ok.. but the Ocean it very murky and is not appealing to swim in. KIDS beyond KIDS.. yelling and screaming ALL the time.. there is NO place on the resort for adults to sit and enjoy without being amongst loud kids. Swim up bar is great if kids were not always screaming splashing around the pool... The food was OK but there was little variety. Many of the same dishes for all three meals. Riu Palace Antillas: Beautiful but Busy

The hotel was beautiful and the food was fantastic. The service was amazing. However, we were expecting a bit more privacy based on conversations with our travel agent. We found out when we got there that there would have been a more private upgrade but were not made aware of this when booking. We were also expecting $420 USD in resort credits, as in useable money to put towards resort services, such as the spa, but what we got were coupons. The spa coupons were at most $30 USD off of a service  [... read more]that was $200 USD. This would have been nice to know. Regardless, the resort was amazing, and clean, and the service was 5 star, we would have just appreciated more information, as it was not exactly what we were expecting.
