Great resort! Most of the prude side is under reno and August is good timing since capacity is reduced during the rainy season. Food is excellent, top shelf alcohol, games and entertainment. I'll be back!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Memories for life at Grand Bahia!

So I'm a frequent vacationer and have been to plenty of resorts. I must say Grand Bahia Principe is definitely in my top 3 list of resorts I've stayed at. The resort itself is very huge and well looked after. The food at the buffet was very good but a little bit repetitive. The a la carte restaurants we dined at (Don Pablo,Garden Grill Steak House & Tallawah)were very delicious and felt like a proper dining experience. Riu Reggae: Not a 5 star

This was our first visit to Riu Reggae, but 4th stay at a Riu resort. It was a small quaint resort. Not much to do on the resort itself. However, 5min walk to the Montego Bay resort, which was lively. The jerk chicken hut by the beach had the best food!! The buffet lounge had a roach crawling on the wall. Our first excursion, the bus didn't arrive to take us there...so we booked and went the next day. We had another excursion booked, which we cancelled because we didn't want to waste our day wai [... read more]ting for the bus to show up again. Not much friendly conversation with bartenders, unless you were tipping. Great resort if you just want time alone with your partner.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Good Experience!

The resort was amazing. All workers and representatives did an amazing job at making sure the vacation was fun and relaxing. The drivers and guides were very informative and met every one of our needs. The resort was well maintained and beautiful. What I didnt like was that our room was normally cleaned in the late afternoon(around 3pm) and we would sometimes be back from our excursions or from our plans before that time to relax. We would prefer our rooms to be cleaned before we got back. A [... read more]lso, we were charged for using the safe in our room for the duration of our trip even though we didn't use the safe at all during our stay. When we first arrived they struggled getting everyone situated and checked in but our West Jet representative did a good job keeping everyone in the loop with plans throughout our stay. The store in the lobby not the "Lobby Shop" but the other souvenir store is not worth going into. The man in that store has overpriced items and i found really annoying as he kept trying to convince my 9 year old daughter to spend all her Canadian dollars on trinkets. Instead of going to that store we found it was better to shop out in Ocho Rios or if you need anything last minute, hop on a golf cart and shop at the Bahia Village but bring your bargaining skills.

Azul Beach Resort Negril: not a bad resort

good but could have some fans or air conditioning in the restaurants area as for the room,they could have being clean better they didn't change the sheets on the bed the whole time we were there all they did was just make the beds, the food was ok but it should have moer island food and after 10pm you weren't not able to get any form of meal

Melia Braco Village: An amazing resort.

This hotel is so very unique, it has beautiful grounds, immaculate rooms, lovely outdoor dining and A staff who goes above the norm to provide outstanding service to their guests. Looking forward to a return visit.

Couples Negril: Amazing resort!

We returned to Couples Negril after 2 years, and it was just as beautiful as we remembered it to be. We love that it is small and everything is accessible by a very short walk. So many water activities are included- no need to bring out the credit card at every turn. The food is absolutely spectacular, and the staff warm, friendly and genuine. We love the special dinner for repeat clients- made us feel like part of the Couples family. The beach was beautiful with lots of shade trees and am [... read more]ple chairs, and the floaties for the pool and ocean are partly what made us return. This resort is a piece of paradise. My only comment is that I think the rooms, particularly the bathrooms, should be updated. The tiling in the pool is also looking a little tired in areas. These are very minor things, and our parting words to the staff were, "we'll be back". Couples has the right formula for success, and we truly can't wait to go back.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Great resort

Rooms were Well kept and staff was great, beach was good. Pool was the perfect temperature, and very clean. Food could use larger variety. It is nice to have authentic food but there should be more variety.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Jamaican holiday

This was an excellent resort. Great value for our money. It honestly did not seem like any of the rooms were in a bad location. Ours was as far away from the entrance as you could get but was only a short walk. We could have stayed the whole trip at the resort and been well entertained with the free activities, excursions, etc. Our favorite outing was to Konoko falls and we didn't have to pay anything to do it! We enjoyed snorkeling in the cove, going out on the glass bottom boat, and watching t [... read more]he waves and hummingbirds. We also made our own bracelets, played pool and ping pong, with plenty of time to relax. Absolutely nothing was too busy or crowded either. Took in a massage and Sophia paid special attention to my sunburn, I felt very taken care of by her. Great resort, well worth the price.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Fantastic resort!

I would highly recommend this resort. Rooms were huge with a beautiful king size canapy bed, excellent food and friendly staff. Check in was a little slow so be prepared to be patient and ask for a third room key as one room key needs to be used to work the lights and air conditioning. All in all, we were very happy with the resort and would highly recommend it!

Riu Reggae: Loved it!

Every aspect of the resort was excellent...the new (8 month old) structure as well as the grounds, pools and beech were beautiful and exceptionally clean. As it was the off season (July), we were given an upgraded room upon our arrival and the staff was very excited to announce this to us. The room had a garden and partial ocean view. The rooms are not huge but they are in perfect condition, immaculate and well appointed, with everything one needs...a king bed, balcony, sitting area by bed with  [... read more]table and 2 chairs, 4 bottles of liquor, beer, water, and pop replenished every 2 days. All staff members, at every level, were friendly and efficient. We ate at the 4 A La Carte restaurants every night, Italian, Steak House, Classic Cuisine, Asian and they all offered a good selection of entrees and the food was quite authentic and delicious. Not all the restaurants were open every night and even still there wasn't much of a wait, maybe 20 minutes maximum the one night at the fancier one (Classic/French cuisine). The breakfast buffet had an amazing selection. The open air dining for the buffet restaurant, over looking the pools and the ocean, was amazing, as was the jerk chicken hut open for lunch daily. The entertainment at night and by the pool were typical of tropical resorts but in Jamaica they host a Sunday night beech party which is unique ad fun. The music and vibe at the pool bars were upbeat. All in all, it was great and we would go again.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Enjoy being spoiled!!!

Just got back from an eight day stay at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall and can't say enough about this amazing resort!!! The staff are outstanding and make you feel at home (it was so hard to leave) but definitely will be back. The hotel itself needs a little updating but it still has a very strong Caribbean feel (the red carpet in the hallways can go though). But it's quickly overlooked when you are poolside or on the beach being pampered with drinks!!! Aldain at the Pool Conceirge was always attentive to our needs at the pool waiting with fresh towels and a friendly smile! The entertainment team is above all else (and we have travelled to many resorts!) THEY ARE ALL SO TALENTED!!!! The food was exceptional and the variety allowed for everyone to enjoy!!! We are so happy to have gone and can't wait to return!!!!

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Nice

We had a good time. The hotel is small and cozy which we liked as we traveled with small children. Our room was nice modern and clean. We did not mind that there was no bathtub and were pleased with the shower. The beach is a bit small but it was nice for the kids. Food was good and although not too many choices you could find something different too eat every day. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return to this hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Overall a generally great resort

When we came for our honeymoon in 2013, it was a nice experience even though we were not terribly excited about the food. However because we enjoyed all other aspects of the hotel and it was a relaxing environment and we were well taken care of we returned, however there were minor things during this trip that were a bit of an irritant. When it came to the room refreshments, we were told by our WestJet agent that we could leave a note everyday if we required more beverages than the provided  [... read more]amount. Because we wanted to drink more water than pop, we left a note every day for an additional supply of water, however our requests were ignored. After a few days we went to the front desk and inquired why our requests were being ignored and we were told that the maximum amount of bottled water allowed for each room was 2 and not more. We thought this was absurd as we had been informed by the WestJet agent that we could request for more. With that being said, we were promised that more water would be brought to our room, however that never happened. Over about 2 or 3 days of our trip we ran out of hot water, even though the water was never really hot but lukewarm the whole time we were there, which was annoying in and of itself. In any case we ran out of the "lukewarm" water and showered with cold water on a couple of days and also ran out of water during one evening. When we ran out of the "lukewarm" water we were told that the whole resort was experiencing this issue. During the last 3 days of our trip the whole resort could not provide us with face cloths and hence had to use hand towels to shower. We were told that something had happened to their washing machines or something to that effect and therefore no one was supplied with face cloths. We were assured that face cloths would be rectified face cloths would be personally delivered to our room, however up until we left the resort this promise was not kept. Although the rooms were cleaned every day, which we appreciated, there were a couple of occasions where the room smelt bad...almost like the mop used was dirty. So there was a musky, dirty smell in our room. We did ask for a room refresh, and either the room refresh was done or the smell went away on its own we will never know. But when we returned to the room it smelt better. On the other occasion when our room smelt funky and dirty, we chose to just ignore as we were already fed up with the little issues that were occurring. The food overall was not the greatest, although we never were hungry. If you are looking for authentically coked Jamaican food, you will not find it at this resort. It was edible but not the most enjoyable every time. I appreciate that the resort has different themed nights for the food (Mexican, Spanish, Italian etc...) however when we come to Jamaica, we are coming for food that is better than what we cook at home. So I was not entirely impressed with the quality of the food.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Mixed Experience

This was our second visit to JPC, and fourth trip to Jamaica. We got a great deal on the trip and we were fairly content with our stay. Highlights included: -beautiful, lush grounds -lovely boardwalk along the ocean -the smaller "quiet" beach was crystal clear and was a great place to do some snorkelling. We even found an octopus! -the food was pretty good - nothing fancy, but fruit/veggies were fresh and meat was nicely cooked, and the omelette guy was great! Some things we were l [... read more]ess happy about: -one of the three pools was unusable for most of the week - milky water, couldn't even see the stools at the swim-up bar. -the other pools were not very clean - often murky water and lots of debris (hair clumps,napkins and papers, tiles that had fallen out, a rusty screw, even cockroaches in the water!) -poor service at the restaurants. For 7 out of 8 breakfasts, the coffee/tea/OJ we ordered did not show up at all. Waiters were slow to offer drinks and take orders at lunch and dinner. -often only a single person at the front desk, which made for long waits. * Seems like most of the these concerns could be resolved with more staff to work in the restaurants and clean the pools. We travel to the Caribbean twice a year, and this resort was less satisfying than most of our other experiences. OK if you get a great deal, but if you're paying full price you'll have better luck elsewhere.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Not What I rememver

The resort was okay but I went a few years ago and was much more impressed back then. The food wasn't as good. It was too hot in the restaurants so no refuge from the heat. We didn't get towels in our room for two straight days and when we called several times for them we waited one hour the first day and the second day after two hours and many phone calls we went down to the lobby to get them ourselves.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: A memorable time!

Weather was great all week. Stayed in building 2 which was directly in front of beach and a 5 minute walk to lobby and restaurants. Rooms were kept very clean. Crystal clear water and great beach to walk along, was able to see all kinds of sea life while swimming - crabs, star fish, jelly fish, stingray, multiple varieties of fish. Enjoyed the buffet, enough variety to please all and lots of Jamaican cuisine. Best restaurant was Dorado. Also ate at Hunter's, Calypso, and Italian which were  [... read more]good too. Staff was very friendly and always looking to please. Only problem was that week went by to fast. Overall, a wonderful Royalton experience. Special thanks to our agent Shaukath Fattah who was a great help.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Great resort! Would come back.

My family and I had an amazing time at the Hyatt. The staff were all so friendly and we loved the food (especially the jerk chicken). They had tons of entertainment each day too so that kept you busy. They also let you use the kayaks and paddle boards for free which was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Thoroughly delighful resort

My husband and two kids spent seven day at the Holiday Inn Resort in Montego Bay. This Resort is well worth the price. It's perfect for a family with children. We would definitely go back. The resort had a wonderful Jerk chicken, ice cream and hamburger huts. The bars opened at 10 am. The Jamaicans were not shy with the RUM MAN. Lots of selections at the buffet something for everyone. About 5 specialty restaurants to choose from nightly. Great breakfast lots of coffee, smoothies , omelets , we w [... read more]ould not ask for more. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Good Free internet. I would definitely recommend this resort to friends.

SeaGarden Beach Resort: Fantasitc time!

Hotel itself was probably pretty old but well cleaned, well care of the garden, no damages in the building, no garbage on the floor, beach or pool side. Staffs are friendly and very fun entertainment every night. Food taste was amazing every meal. Good size of private beach. I was happy to choose Sea Garden hotel!
