Poor food, no themes at buffet despite lunar new year and Valentine's. No flexibility for unusual circumstances. Rooms are worn out. Buffet staff not allowed to join tables to accommodate family groups I'd these larger settings are occupied

Well priced for what we got. Good beaches and pools. Buffets ok Rooms good. Staff good and cheerful. Evenings entertainment also good Super location close to town. Friendly attentive staff. Very colourful and authentic location. Went on a few tours which were well represented

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Overall review

Beach was fabulous, just not enough loungers & beds at the pool & beach , people saving them & not using them for hours , food was not to my liking buffet food was always cold , room was a bit outdated but clean , night entertainment was only bands & singing , service was great , staff was very friendly

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Truly a gem in paradise

This resort was my best resort ever! We really enjoyed the food, nearly every meal was perfect, even lunch at the themed restaurant was so good. We also enjoyed the dressing up for dinner every night.The staff was exceptional, always happy to greet you. We enjoyed how much effort , assortment and enthusiasm was put into activities and entertainment. The grounds were beautiful and carved through the jungle terrain which made it a real nice experience. They were constantly tending to keeping the [... read more] grounds immaculate. Another real highlighlight here was Cafe Sisal which was like having a Starbucks on the property and we would enjoy almost twice a day, a real treat at no extra cost. As usual with these large resorts we were disappointed how much pool chairs and floaties were hoarded by all the guests with most chairs gone by 7 am. I wish that the resort would police their policy of not saving chairs. We were in the cheapest rooms available, they were good but a bit dated.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Mexican vacation

The Grand Sirenisis an amazing resort. Everyone at the resort were so helpful.The grounds were outstanding and it was lovely to see the wildlife. The food was delicious and well presented. We had an amazing time and would recommend this resort to everyone

Barcelo Maya Palace: Wonderful resort

We had an amazing vacation at the Barcelo Maya Palace with our group of 6 (ages 7-75). The resort had lots to do, the beach was lovely (but bring water shoes for the coral!), the food was always delicious. Our only complaint was the shows didn't start until 9:30 pm so it was too late for our children to stay up after a fun day in the sun. Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Definitely a 3.5 star!

The hotel was not bad, we went with kids so buffet was what we were expecting, and buffet was available only for breakfast. That left us with Italian, Mediterranean, Mexican and Japanese (French was for adults only) not a lot of choices. Italian and Japanese was really good. Rooms were clean. The kids loved the pool , it was nice , not that big but it was nice. Unfortunately my wife loves to be on the beach, but this hotel beach was not very good, lots of stone couldn’t even walk in, very sm [... read more]all area so we couldn’t use the beach at all. Nice service but I don’t think we will be going back.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Beautiful resort

Absolutely gorgeous and extensive property for this resort. Excellent food and friendly service and there is something for everyone. The best entertainment of any resort we have stayed at and it is great to have something to do all evening. The Imperial band was top notch as were all the entertainers. Nice beach for watching the ocean but too rough for swimming. I wish the gym was nicer (needs an air conditioned weight room with some decent exercise mats) and would have loved to enjoy the p [... read more]ing pong table but the location is too windy to be able to play. Overall a fantastic resort, wonderful friendly hard working staff and I would love to return here.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Wonderful Resort

We have stayed at resorts up and down the Riviera over the last 20 years and our 10 day stay at Ocean Coral and Turquesa was lovely. All the boxes we look for were checked, well maintained beach lovely for swimming, sunning and long walks. Solid dining with a buffet that was consistent and fresh and specialty restaurants that were equal to most good resorts, I enjoyed Blue Moon and Route 66. The coffee shop, Mike’s, was a welcome stop for a capacino or fresh pastry and the numerous bars always [... read more] provided a selection of cocktails served quickly by a cheerful and attentive staff. Surprises were the little unexpected toppings like an amazing piano player in the main lobby evenings or margarita night and martini night. we’re not usually one for shows, but really thought the ones we saw were well done. We happened to be there for Super Bowl and they had an amazing big screen set up in front of the ocean that will be quite memorable. We are a mature couple who were there Yeah, he’s with a brother and sister-in-law, but if you have young children, kids pool, water park and entertainment area looked absolutely stunning, and was very well maintained and supervised. All staff we encountered were attentive and looking to make our holiday enjoyable. No question we would return again

The Pyramid Cancun: Overall okay

Resort is very big, depends on what you’re looking for. Good food recommend Japanese food Sakura. nice beach but wavy this time of the year. Clean and fun for you partying and family. I’d give it a 3.5 overall. Service at the restaurants and bars is good however front desk not very helpful and most of the time don’t know the answer to any questions had to figure things out in our own in such a big resort took us almost the whole trip to get used to the resort and know different events. In the be [... read more]ginning pushy with time share selling. Air Canada rep never showed up and waited 2 hours at airport to be picked up and dropped off at the resort. Was promised a king bed but they never had that note and was given double bed. Lots of people had issues with rooms they chose and paid for but never gotten such as ocean view. I stayed as a Sir kaan which I recommend more options for restaurant. When we went they have many renovations and didn’t have shows, a little at boring at night time but lively during the day. I recommend walking out of the resort and checking out the lagoon for extra activities that are fun and affordable

Occidental Tucancun: Nice resort in general, but...

a good resort overall, but at first we were put in a terrible room with a door to the terrace that didn’t close. When I tried to close the door, there was a gap through which the wind blew strongly, making a very loud sound, interfering with sleep, in addition, the linen in our room was not fresh, and my wife noticed someone else’s hair on the pillows. We asked for the bed linen to be changed, which was done immediately. Also, in the room where we were placed, the view of the sea was minimal. [... read more] The next day we asked to be moved. We were given a room on the third floor instead of the second. The new room fully met our expectations. Overall we liked the hotel, the area is cleaned every evening and morning. Various competitions and events are held throughout the day. We went to the evening show on February 14th, it was very impressive. With the exception of some nuances, my wife and I liked everything.

The main problem with this hotel is that you cannot request a certain room location in advance, even if you have been a guest at the hotel many many times. It doesn't seem fair. We for example only use the adult pool area. That is where we want to stay. But we have to argue and fight for that after we arrive. We eventually got into Block 5, which is what we wanted, but it took over a day and we lost a day of our vacation. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Awesome diving resort!

The food is outstanding! There's something for everyone! The people that work there work very hard to keep the place clean and people moving. And the dive shop is exceptional! Saw some beautiful fish coral reef sharks spotted eagle rays!

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Beautiful family resort

Beautiful family resort. Loved the lush surroundings and animals especially the monkeys.. Rooms in family section were clean, large and great setup with bunk beds for families. The water slide park was amazing able to accommodate all ages from toddlers through adults. The staff were friendly and accommodating. This is not the best place for anyone with mobility issues as no elevators and walkways are uneven. The food was mediocre. Riu Yucatan: Fantastic stay!

This was the first time staying at a Riu resort and I can definitely say I will be booking them from now on. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, fun and helpful. Special shout-out to Victor and Gustavo on the entertainment team and the pool bartending staff (Leo, Bryan and Santiago). Rooms were very clean and had no issues whatsoever. It’s not a super quiet resort so if you are looking for relaxation only then it may not be for you but we really appreciated how many things were always going on because it felt like there was something for everyone. Grand Park Royal Cancun: Beautiful resort but would not go back

The beach was amazing, the rooms really nice! Food was good... not great. Pools were freezing cold. You can't get chairs on the beach unless you wake up at 6am and go down to put your towels on them. The a la cart restaurants we okay but we couldn't get to them cause they were booked. We booked 2 and they told us to come back and book again in a couple of days. So the restaurants could not accommodate everyone.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Excellent experience

We were very happy with the facilities the resort offered. If you like beach, then you will be disappointed. The staff are very friendly and the food is good. The room was clean and service was great. However the main bed can be bigger, queen or king.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful over all

super nice hotel great beds in the room, great trips also phone and coffee machine a little outdated. So calling for room service was quite fuzzy all the pool and food were great ? don't expect to swim in the ocean there though .... very murky water. Beach and sand was wonderful tho.

Grounds - not bad Public Areas - not bad Rooms - need attention. Wall plug ins are so loose that they don't always stay. Lamp shades are tattered. Dresser drawers fall if pulled out too far and the some handles to pull out the drawer are attached with wire. Dining - Buffets are good, but one doesn't want to do that every night for 2 weeks. It is next to impossible to make reservations unless you can be in the lobby EARLY and are super fast on your cell phone. There needs to be more areas [... read more] available for internet access and a person able to make reservations for at least 3 times per week (as other all inclusives do).
