Riu Flamingos: All good

Room good and large enough for 3 sisters. Appreciated that there was 3 beds. Food was satisfactory in the buffet. Fresh cooked eggs at breakfast was the best. Restaurant food was questionable. Didn't love the pools. Way too warm. Did not enjoy the continuous loud music. The swim up bar pool had always a party atmosphere- a real spring break party feel. The other pool had kids and no bar access. For the most part the swim up bar was the only bar available to you if you were enjoying the water [... read more] so it was way too crowded. Loved the bar outside of the lobby. Great martinis and friendly personable service! Beach was excellent and loved that they had so many loungers and shade.

Riu Playa Blanca: Great Staff

Good resort for families, wouldn't recommend for couples looking for peaceful getaway. Many small kids running around the restaurants and pool area by themselves, quite noisy. The resort caters to Spanish speaking guests. Ninety percent entertainment and all music both by the pools and disco is Spanish. Food was good, facilities too. Staff were excellent even if very few spoke English.

Riu Flamingos: Great trip

Impressive hotel, hard working staff, food at the buffet for the first couple days good then improved. Steak house very good. All in all a very good holiday. Value for your money excellent. Planning on going back again next year. Went to the Vallarta hotel next door and it was nice also.

Riu Flamingos: Horrible Hotel

I would rate this hotel a zero...the front desk staff there are horrible...the pools are cracked at bottom very dirty my friend cut her foot in the pool they did nothing...do not fly sunwing the representative for sunwing lie about the tours...amoung other things.. will not fly with sunwing again!!!Or stay at another Rui!!

Riu Vallarta: Okay

Room bathroom not clean.people friendly!food good..beach okay.. i dont like go back ! this is my review..but we are not same.. im very clean person..my value is little higher..if u are not u can visit !

Riu Palace Antillas: Beautiful Beach

The beach was beautiful and the on-site casino was great, however, the hotel itself needs to be updated and the hallway carpets removed as they have an overpowering musty smell. The staff were overworked.

Riu Palace Antillas: Stunning Environment!

This hotel could not have been much better. They employ the nicest people I've ever dealt with. The beach was great and the pool as well. The entertainment lacked a bit, but was great next door at the Palace. The only issue was that all the bars close at midnight.

Riu Palace Antillas: Riu palace Antilles is FANTASTIC

This was my second time to Aruba and second stay at the Antilles. All in all a fantastic resort and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Food staff everything was great. Only thing would it would be nice if the bar by the beach stayed open past midnight

Riu Flamingos: rui jalisco,

The hotel was well maintained, room was nice and clean with good maid service. The food was very good and the staff excellent. The only downside was the amount of locals and there children at the hotel who overcrowded the main pool and swim up bar. Anyone can use it but the amount of people that never leave the pool to use the washroom would be around 90%. So therefore you are essentially swimming in a toilet! Riu Negril: Amazing Resort!

Had a fabulous time with my family. The resort was very clean, staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. I would definitely go again. Unfortunately due to Hurricane Irma the beach was not swimmable for the first 3 days and the sand had a lot of debris washed up but they brought in loaders and cleaned it all up like nothing happened so I still got to enjoy the beach side for 4 days.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Riu Palace - Guanacaste, Costa Rica

I have stayed at many all-inclusives in the Caribbean and also in Colombia. We stayed at the Riu Palace in Guanacaste in August 2017. It definitely topped all of the other all-inclusives that I have stayed at. The cleanest resort I have ever stayed at. Not one bug seen in the hotel room the entire week. Food was very good. No issues getting into any of the a la cartes, as people have been complaining that you can't reserve a head of time. We went to all the a la cartes and they were all very good. I can see why this all-inclusive was more costly than options in the Caribbean, this hotel is outstanding. The service was impeccable. Many pools and the beach was lovely and clean, just watch out for sea urchins. Dont listen to the weather forecast. We went during rainy season and the rain always held off until late afternoon, normally by the time you are ready to go shower and get ready for dinner. It did not rain for long. Beautiful lush scenery during rainy season. Between 0730-0830 in the morning walk down to the beach and turn left. Walk for about 5-10 minutes, by the people with the ATV's. There you can see monkeys and feed them. Bring grapes from the buffet to feed them (not bananas). They will take the grapes right out of your hand. We saw howlers and spider monkeys. Awesome experience. I would definitely recommend this resort.

Riu Playa Blanca: Looks much better in pictures (resort)

This hotel was ok I would give it an overall of 4 stars, food was good but more or less the same everyday, the rooms were decent, service was good, sea water was warm but dirty because of a flow of water into the sea from a canal close by. I would not go back just because of the dirty water.

Riu Bambu: Nice renovations

The hotel renovations were nice. They did not nor were they willing to accomodate our request for our 3 reservations to be in the same building even though it was requested in our reservation months prior. The hotel staff were decent for the most part. We tipped so that always helps. Unfortunately, the three of us ended up with food poisoning so it's now difficult to be objective or give a raving review.

Riu Playa Blanca: Nice Resort

Riu is a nice resort, the rooms I would rate it a 3.5 star , the garden view was nice, the pools were very nice, the beach was not clean, the water was fair. The food was good. Overall I would Rate the riu playa blanca a 4 star max.

Riu Guanacaste: Fabulous

My husband and I went for our honeymoon. It was our first time to Costa Rica. Overall we had a wonderful time. Hotel staff were all friendly, helpful and hospitable. We were upgrade to an ocean view king room free of charge. That started our trip off on a high note. We just returned, went during the rainy season. Therefore in the afternoon or evening it rained, sometimes poured. However we were up early to enjoy the sun. We enjoyed the buffets: a couple you could choose from, food was de [... read more]licious. The hotel entertainment in the evening was very enjoyable. Our room was cleaned every morning. The pool was kept clean with activities during the day, aerobics was lots of fun. The beach was nice. Hotel staff member was there to bring a lounge chair to you. The sunwing representatives at the hotel were friendly and helpful. Sunwing shuttled us to the hotel and back to the airport. I found that very beneficial. We went on a few excursions; great to get to see different parts of the country.

Riu Palace Antillas: great resort

this was our 2nd visit in 3 years and would go back again. Everything was perfect from the room to the pool to the beach. We visited during week of sept 4 to 11 and the weather was great, sunny and hot every day with just a few waves from hurricane Irma.. , Aruban people are so friendly and the tourist area in town is a nice 10 min walk from resort. . i almost forgot the food was awesome with a great selection at the buffet every day. I love this place

Riu Palace Antillas: Hurricane free vacation

This hotel is what we expected. Upon arrival we were checked in within minutes. Our room was not ready, but we went to lunch & started our vacation by the pool with a quick dip in the ocean. Our room was less than acceptable. The room was big & clean but the view was horrific. The safe did not work, they had not stocked our room with the 4 bottles of liquor & the sliding door would not lock. The buffet was as good if not better than the restaurants. The pool was very clean & the beach was a little disappointing. We heard the beach was great, but it wasn't on par with other beaches we've been to. The beach was a little rocky to start, then turned into beautiful with sand. Overall we really have nothing to complain about. This resort did not disappoint. Best of all, while IRMA was raging north of us, we were safe.

Riu Bambu: Excellent Resort

This was my first trip to DR. The people were great. The property was very well kept and well lit. I felt completely safe. The food was too good. I gained weight. There were so many bars to choose from and the entertainment was excellent.

Riu Flamingos: Review: RIU JALISCO RESORT

Grounds(outside): garden is well kept. Nice palms and other local flora. Grounds(inside): public spaces often had garbage flying about. Was surprised by this as it was not too busy. Lots of wet surfaces even when it hadn't rained. Pool: two pools, both shaped like a fidget spinner. One for kids. Other has swim up bar. Filters are not working well so there are lots of bugs in the water. Too much chlorine. Mildew. Needs more frequent cleanup. Often their English skills were inadequate, but guests were 80% Mexican so I think that's appropriate. Food: excellent quality and selection. There were no a la carte restaurants during the week we were there despite proclamations otherwise. Annoying. 4 restaurants are actually just 4 buffets. The schedules posted on the door do not match the schedule given upon arrival and nobody cares. Ended up waiting for the doors to open in front of the main dining hall with a dozen other guests. Staff was unhelpful when we asked what time the restaurant would open. Nobody on staff knew or cared about schedules. Universal answer was "5 minutes" which had no bearing on reality. 25 minutes we all waited. Annoying. Housekeeping: fast and frequent. Free mini bar was always stocked. Room: standard size and came with the usual resort stuff. No desk unfortunately. Building: was surprised to see cracks in the walls. Tropical mildew from lack of air flow. Surprised at absent ceiling fans present everywhere else in Mexico. Transfer: typical annoying charter bus ride. Selling trapped guests on excursions, phone service, and tipping the driver. All on PA system with the volume turned way too high. It's included so can't complain too much. Entertainment: typical cheerleader-style activities where they try to get you involved and pumped up. People seemed not to mind the dance music blasting through the pool area all day, but it's not for me. Also, there were musical shows every evening. Our room faced inwards to the courtyard and reverberated with thumping base from these shows every evening until 11pm. Not cool. I feel that the RIU JALISCO is a decent resort but you should be prepared for loud music and flexible schedules. Good food and decent Beach. Proximity to town is 25 minute taxi ride. There were a lot of kids and infants. Lots. Adorable and fun, but messy and loud.

Riu Bambu: Missing Riu Bambu!

This was my second visit to Riu Bambu and I have to say that I enjoyed all the upgrades that the resort had to offer. The rooms are better, service is better and the entertainment staff are more fun! We stayed busy with the daily activities like beach games, pool games, volleyball, dancing etc. The food was alright but I was not expecting much. The nightly entertainment was a 6/10, but there were four nights of dancing (same performers, different costumes). I think they can use more variety - something different every day would be nice! I would rate the hotel 8 out of 10. I enjoyed my time but they can work on a bit more for a 5 star! My mother and I stayed at Riu, August 29 to September 5.
