Riu Ocho Rios: Great All-Inclusive Resort

Clean, comfortable room, everything works and maintained well. Great beach with access to lots of water sport activities, paddle boarding, sailing, scuba diving, etc. Tasty food with lots of variety, including famous Jamaican cuisine. Great sea-food too, spiny lobster, shrimp, and fish, and good selection of tropical fruits. Staff are friendly and helpful, so our vacation went well with no unexpected or unpleasant events along the way. Great place for children as well.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Great vacation

Been to this resort many times. Always been pleased with the service and quality, although it is not up to "palace" standards in my opinion. The staff are very kind and always helpful. I have no complaints. The beach at this resort is amazing!!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great place!

Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica was a great and fun place. We felt comfortable and welcomed by the staff, who were courteous and very friendly. Whatever we needed, they were there for us. The room was nice and the mini bar was always filled with beverages and snacks. The entertainment every night was enjoyable. Overall, the experience was great.

Sandals South Coast: Absolutely Loved it!

My Husband and I booked our honeymoon last minute and weren't disappointed. It was our first time at a Sandals resort. We were impressed by the room, restaurants and staff. It was a wonderful time. We were sad to leave.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Amazing Experience!

This resort blew us away! It is absolutely stunning! Food was outstanding, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pools and beaches are lovely and well maintained. The resort was overall very clean which is really important to me. Make sure to check out the spa while you're there and get a massage!

Sunscape Splash: Average

I was very disappointed with this resort. The food was just average and most of the time something was missing from the menu. It took about an hour to get served our main dish. The buffet was always the same. The daytime entertainment was lacking. Activities would be posted and then when we got there they weren't happening. Couples Swept Away: Happy Honeymoon!

The resort boasts an incredible beach and amazing dining options. It may not be as ostentatious as some resorts but they make up for that in spades with incredible service and a variety of inclusions that are rarely free at other resorts. The pools may be small but are kept clean and who wants to hang out in a pool with crystal clear waters at the beach. The red flag service is great! The only real complaint is the sounds of nature on full display at night. Bring ear plugs (helps a bit) but be warned of incessant noise form 8 at night until about 5 in the morning. My wife and I seemed to be in the minority in being first timers at this resort as almost all the people we spoke with were returning guests. Having spent a week at CSA I can certainly see why people return year after year and plan on becoming a return guest as well.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome vacation

Fantastic hotel. Very clean. Friendly staff. Lots to do. Highly recommend this hotel. I had never been to Jamaica but found this vacation to be extremely enjoyable. Everyone there made sure our vacation was a great one.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great Resort

I stayed at this hotel for 1 week and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The room was clean, as was the pool and grounds. The staff were all friendly and worked very hard. Checking in was slow but at least we were greeted with a nice tropical drink. I liked the location of my room, room 1015, which was close to everything. The food was good. Riu Reggae: Lovely resort

Rui Reggae is clean, reasonably-sized and well laid out. You didn't have to walk miles to eat or return to your room. Food was good. Lots of variety. The beach is the best of the three Ruis in the row as vegetation was further out in the deeper water. I'd go back as long as i don't have to use Sunwing to get there.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful Grounds Mediocre Service

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The grounds and main foyer were beautiful. The ocean view from my room was fantastic! The kids' water play area was great, as my son spent hours there during our stay. Our housekeeper Christine was lovely and kept our room very clean. The rooms were very spacious, as well. We had no issues with bugs and the air conditioner in our room worked extremely well. The staff was friendly for the most part. The tapinaki restaurant was great and very entertaining. T [... read more]he spa (though a bit expensive) was wonderful! That said, there were many issues that are easy enough to address, and it would behoove Bahia to do so. They are as follows: *on average it took several calls and somewhere between 12-24 hrs to get issues resolved *there was probable cross contamination during food preparation (my son had a moderately concerning allergic reaction, as he is allergic to peanuts) *the kids' club did not do any water activities with the kids and spent too much time indoors *the power kept going out several times a day, though not for long periods *there was painting being done constantly during busy times in high traffic areas ( I ruined two of my cover ups while trying to assist my son outside our room where a wall was freshly painted) *the wifi was only free in the lobby ( I think full free wifi service should at least be part of the Royal Golden package upgrade) *better upkeep of the hotel in general and updating the rooms would be a good idea (e.g. Only one of the three jacuzzi tubs at the pool was working) *more beach parties ( the ones I attended were great, especially for families with kids) *do not have the Privilege Club timeshare sales team constantly approach your guests (this is the only chain of resorts that allows this type of constant soliciting, to my knowledge) As I said, I still had a fabulous vacation, however, I was prepared for issues, as I read many reviews of this nature. They were quite accurate for the most part. It is my hope that these and other issues mentioned by Bahia guests get fixed. It is a nice looking resort. The service should match it, yet doesn't.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Iberostar Suites Montego Bay

Great service, associates, food, drinks, pools, spa, activities, shows, and very clean. Only cons were tv went wonky a few times. They replaced it. Also wifi wasn't working in our room. Room can be damp if you don't run the a/c constantly. They do a good job of keeping panhandlers off the resort. Very safe. Close to airport.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Family Memories to Last a Lifetime

Iberostar Rose Hall Suites is so amazing for a family vacation! The hotel was amazing - great food, outstanding staff, sooo many fun activities for the kids. Close to airport. Lazy river. Multiple pools. Clean beach area. There is honestly nothing to complain about.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Pretty Amazing Resort

This resort is hugh and the grounds are impeccable; ate at 5 of the al le carte restaurants and was very impressed with the food and the staff. We will definitely return to this resort. Pools and large and the lots of pool chairs

Catalonia Montego Bay: Holiday Inn Montego Bay, Jamaica

This economical Hotel is showing its age unfortunately and is in need of a facelift. Pleasant and clean it was very dated. We changed our room because my other half wasn't happy with the rust he saw around the corners of the bathroom. They changed the room and it was better but still the shower faucets/bathtub/sink had no shine from too much age/cleaning. The sink is behind the door making it difficult to access. Why would they built it this way is beyond me. The extensive grounds are well ma [... read more]nicured with flowering plants/bushes/trees. The private beaches were nice but you couldn't go walking along them as all 3 on the property were too small for walking. Although this kept out beach vendors. The water was clear with stones for a few feet starting on the shore, then the grass seaweed began, this for me was not safe to walk on as some patches you sunk and there could be sea life hiding underneath...I was not comfortable walking on this. It was shallow for the 1st 100 ft if you are not afraid of the water and no undertow. The Island directily across the main beach had shallow water making it easy to cross. It was lovely but, too windy for us. There are 2 pools: 1 for family/children with a lazy river encircling the main pool, where all the daily activities were being held. The other pool had a swim up bar with railings surrounding the perimeter for adults only. The "jerk hut" had another bar with delicious Jerk Chicken. The buffet was fabulous with a variety of gluten free/dairy free foods, fresh fruits, extensive array of veggies day and night. Meats were flavourful; lamb/goat/mutton/chicken/beef/pork/fish: stews, grilled, sauced, curried and low in salt. The 3 restaurants were expertly staffed and the foods were delicious. The chefs accommodated my lactose free diet without problems. The only thing missing was Espresso!

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Amazing vacation!!!

We spent a week at the hotel with some friends and had an amazing time. The beach was beautiful, the resort grounds and rooms were amazing. The food both a la carte and buffet were great- never had a bad meal. The staff were incredibly inviting and friendly...Kadeem and odaine took care of us all week long they were awesome!! Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Property is simply beautiful!!

Just visited the Grand Bahia resort in JA on June 21-28. It was beautiful. The food, room and people were great. Room service was delightful! Only hiccup, the misquitos are relentless even with bug spray. Be prepared to walk, drink and have a good time. Bartenders Joel and Leroy are excellent!! Big up to Abagail!! Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great Resort!

The hotel was beautiful! A lot of great food, including the jerk chicken ;) Advice: Visit the grand bahia side as well, bring long pants and t-shirts (they are required for some of the a la carte) best a la carte experience was at the don pablo - we both got steak and loved it! Beach is a bit rocky, pool is nice! It wasn't too over crowded which we liked. Excursions: We did the Dunns River and Mystic Mountain. We had an amazing time at both. Met some great people! The staff were amazing.. The hotel was impeccably clean.. It was a great experience and so much fun.. The only thing was that it is so damn big that you have a lot of walking to do but that also isn't considered bad.. With all the eating you end up doing, it's a workout and you burn all the calories you just gained..

Everything was absolutely beautiful! The staff was very friendly. The food was excellent, with a wide variety to choose from. The entertainment crew was a lot of fun as well! I would definitely visit again.
