we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The people were so friendly and willing to help in any way. Loved the beach. The food was wonderful and plenty of choices. The room was very clean and kept very nice each day. I would recommend this hotel to any of our friends.

Hotel Mojito: you get what you pay for

This is definitely not the best resort on Cayo Coco, but it is also one of the cheapest. You get what you pay for. The facilities are nice but dates and in need of refreshment. The rooms are spacious and everything works but again, the need for renovation shows in the warn off desk, curtains, walls, etc. The maids do a good job keeping everything clean. The staff: well...a mixed bag. Some very attentive, especially in the buffet and others that would benefit from some training (or motivation...) [... read more]. The food was acceptable, nothing special, but quite OK for the money. The guys running the water sports (catamaran, kayaks, etc) are very nice and helpful. I stayed in this resort because as I went to Cayo Coco to go fishing and was away during the days: simply needed a decent play to sleep and eat. As such it met my needs and the price was right. Would I stay there if I were on typical holidays, staying at the resort and using the facilities, etc: maybe no. Or not until they do some work on fixing the place up a bit. The potential is there, someone needs to make the effort...

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Enjoyable Week

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Grounds and main bldg beautiful, rooms tired

Have been to Cuba two other times that helps form basis of this review and I have an idea what to expect. The Good The grounds are beautiful and the staff work hard to keep it that way. Quite stunning actually. The main lobby is also very nice. The two beaches are some of the best you'll ever see. Ensenachos beach is better than Megano except the beach bar is better at Megano. Rudy is great at the lobby bar. Really nice pool! The Not So Good Check-in was slow and provided very little information-fend for yourself to find your building and amenities. Our Sunquest travel rep was not in until the following day. Poor understanding of English by check-in staff. The rooms are large but tired. Would've been quite nice in the earlier years but appear neglected. We had two rooms -blow drier did not work in one and tv remote missing in other which comes in handy when bed ridden one day because of food/stomach issues. We called to deal with both twice and resort promised will be dealt with but to no avail. Maid service was inconsistent. No toilet paper refill one day and that night two of us had stomach issues. We called to get some as quickly as possible but only came with the daily maid service late morning. As its been said many times before, food is so-so but bigger turnoff is flies all over the food and bird always flying around the buffet restaurant. Overall, this not a five star even for Cuba standards, I would rate it a four. Some attention to detail in the rooms and minor updating certainly would go a long way as well as trying harder to keep flies and birds out of the buffet restaurant. A la carte restaurants are mediocre but this is more due to the fact it's Cuba and less to do with staff trying their best with what they have. I recommend this resort for a laid back and relaxing vacation and eat to not be hungry.

Landscaping and beaches we're amazing. Internet connection was miserable. Food was fair. Room was nice. Sheets must be changed every day.Overall. was really nice. Swimming pools we're really good. Restaurant services were fair.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: AMAZING !!!

An amazing vacation!!! Very lucky to have sunshine and good weather during our stay. The food the beach were great! The bus ride from Santa Clara is about 90 minutes but interesting. Overall, this was a very relaxing vacation with good service, good food and, amazing beaches. Iberostar Ensenachos is a peaceful and quiet resort that will provide relaxation and comfort.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Exceeded our Expectations

We stayed at this resort May 18th for a week and were very happy with our stay. It seems all you hear is that be prepared for the food as it isn't very good. We didnt find this at all. This resort has an exceptional buffet that had tons of variety and was changed up each night. We ate at all 3 restaurants on site and would have preferred the buffet..they were more in the line of what you hear of cuba food. Beach is very nice and pool area had lots of chairs to pick from. Drinks are hit and miss  [... read more]and the cafe was an awesome bonus for afternoon tea and snack. Rooms were great with comfortable beds. Resort is a nice size for walking. instead of the tours we took a taxi to the caves and havana...as cool as a classic car sounds for travelling to havana keep in mind there isn't air conditioner and made for a long day and we wished we would have used a regular taxi which is what we did for the rest of the trips. Wifi worked well in the lobby area but that is about it. You pay for a card that costs $2 CAD for 1 hour.

Hotel Mojito: Average with potential resort!

The hotel was in some disrepair. Areas of the resort were not available the week we stayed and therefore not maintained. This included some of the grounds and half of the main pool. In addition, only one of the four air conditioners in the gym was working which made a workout almost impossible because of the stifling heat. The room was clean and the air conditioning was excellent although we did hear from other guests that this was a problem in some rooms. Also surprisingly, there was no balco [... read more]ny on any of the rooms to hang wet clothing nor did they provide a line across the tub for this purpose. Inside our room, the toilet flushed sporadically and the bathroom did include a nice deep tub which was a nice surprise. The buffet food choices were limited to very few dishes and were the same each night however, the a la carte restaurants served amazing food and the staff were super friendly. Overall, the staff were very friendly. The beach was spectacular and we really enjoyed our time at the beach.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Awesome Resort

We are a family of 12 with ages from 19 to 86 who spent the week of May 15-22 at Iberostar Varadaro. This is a top notch resort where everyone loved the food and the grounds and beach are beautiful. The staff are plentiful, helpful and cheerful. The rooms are good but we weren't there for the rooms. The nightly entertainment and ballet show in the pool was superb. The entertainment crew was really nice- not pushy but made everything available. Many opportunities to win a bottle of rum or a t-shi [... read more]rt: air gun shooting, darts, shuffleboard, mini-Putt, bingo, raffles, volleyball, water polo. We also enjoyed swimming in the ocean and nightly sunsets across the ocean. And of course-our favourite: an awesome pool with swim-up bar.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful Resort

This was my first visit to Cuba and I really liked this resort. The grounds and beach were really beautiful. The food was much better than what I had been led to expect for Cuba. The Japanese a la carte was absolutely delicious and Henry put on a great show. The Italian a la carte was also very good. Anne in the buffet is truly an asset to this resort. She is very friendly and accommodating and has the best personality, always smiling and in a great mood. For the first couple of days, my  [... read more]room mate and I had to carry our valuables around as our room safe did not work. This was rectified on the second night when the repair person was dispatched to our room. However, we had four lights burned out in our room for the entire week of our stay and the bathroom door would not close so there was no privacy. We asked every day for these lights to be replaced and were told every day that they would be replaced "tomorrow". We even submitted a written request to the front desk and were assured this would be rectified. We even spoke to a maintenance man on our floor who assured us the lights would be replaced "tomorrow". When we completed our stay and checked out, neither the bathroom door nor any of the lights had been replaced. Our room number was 14217. Another lesser annoyance was having to walk the entire length of the resort on two separate nights to obtain drinking water before bedtime as our mini fridges were not restocked during the day and our towels were taken but not replaced. Ignoring these inconveniences, our stay was mostly pleasant. I am not sure I would stay at this resort again however as I believe it is very important to provide customer satisfaction.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Good time!

Stayed with a group of 12 and had a great time! Rooms were dated, beds hard as a rock. The food was excellent for a Cuban resort Staff was honestly the only thing that bothered me, they all seemed so crooked and unhappy with the exception of Kensi, he was amazing!!! So friendly and always bringing us new drinks at the pool side :)

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great Resort!

Visited May 12-19 with my wife and kids. Beautiful beaches, great play section for children and amazing staff. Food was above average for Cuba. We swam with the dolphins. Fun experience but it was an expensive 15mins in the water with our dolphin friend. Would go again!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing resort!!

The hotel grounds are clean and well groomed, the pool needs a bit of work but I heard they were going to be doing that soon. The animation staff made our stay amazing, they were so good with our son and with us, and truly made you feel like family. The food was also excellent and we always found something good to eat. This was our second time at this resort and we will be going back for sure.

The workers we're all lovely people, service was top-notch. The rooms.. the lights were hanging off the wall, beds were very uncomfortable, rust/mold in bath rooms, we requested a king bed and got two doubles pushed together with king sheets... Maitence is the biggest killer, seems there hasn't been any, ever. Food was okay.. very plain, the a la carte's were good.

The hotel grownds are beautiful, the beach is spectacular; but the cleanliness needs a lot of improvement. As expected, the food wasn't great but I didn't expect the food and the facility to be infested with flies. Flies were literally covering the food and rags that the employees were using to clean the tables with. Also I didn't expect the employees to be rude and neglectful and outright ignore us when asking for a simple glass of water and the list continues. If I were to act the way They did at my work, I would be fired on the spot. My son was sleeping on a bed that the cover had caked on fecal matter and the rooms were never really cleaned even after generously tipping the maid. I didn't fully feel relaxed at the resort because I had to constantly check and bring money everywhere around the facility to tip anyone I spoke to so I can get some acknowledgement. My family all got sick at the end and are still recovering from the contaminated food. I would never go to Cuba again, the people have changed and I would never recommend it to anyone and btw , all the travelers from this hotel and others in the facinity were all saying the same thing: Cuba never again

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Do not go to this resort

It was first time in Cuba, I have been all over the Caribbean and Mexico, the resort itself didn't look bad from the outside but as soon as you walk in the room you see how out dated and dirty it is, but this it not the worse part, I could not eat for a week because of the amount of flies in the buffet restaurant, the flies are all over the food and tables!!!! Absolutely sick, most of us got some how sick, never again to Cuba

Beach: Awesome (it's Veradero) Staff: Wonderful. Every single one of them. Food: Better than most in Cuba. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Awesome resort

2nd time at this Resort, the food was very delicious as usual, lots of Jamaican dishes to choose from. The staff at IBEROSTAR ROSE HALL BEACH makes the difference at this resort, Stringbean, Angel, Chocolate and all the other entertainment staff is just amazing and wonderful people. Grand Memories Cayo Largo: Peaceful vacation

It's a small, quiet place. A LOT of mosquito during our stay (May 2017). The lack of management is very evident. The restaurant is very small and the food is not bad but not variety. Good service in the eating area. Clean but old room/furniture. Camerera do their best. Bad experience with Cubana Airlines. We lost one day from vacation waiting in airport...
