Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Enjoyable stay

The beach (Grand side, not Luxury), the pools and our room were excellent. The Jerk chicken at the beach restaurant is exceptional. The Jasmine buffet restaurant was so-so. Of the seven a la carte restaurants in the complex, we dined at six of them and enjoyed only two. Jason at Mikado Teppanyaki made our dinner experience one worth remembering for years to come. Rooms on the Beach Negril: Amazing vacation at Rooms!

Quick and easy check-in, the room was good. Loved how everything is so close, quick walk to the beach or the reception. AC worked and we had hot water. Never ate the complementary breakfast. Just paid for the Rise n shine for $5. Great bacon, eggs, beans and toast for breakfast. Lots of great restaurants close by. Highly recommend Best in the west. Short walk from the hotel, but stay away from Woodstock. It's overpriced and not the best food. Shout out to Kelvin, the best bartender! C [... read more]an't wait to return!

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Royal Decameron Montego Beach - Jamaca

Our visit to Jamica was great. The Royal Decameron is a good hotel to stay at if you have a budget to work with at the same time enjoy the island. The beach is beautiful and pool too is very nice and clean. The night entertainment was great. Service too was very good and staff are friendly.

Royalton Blue Waters: Beautiful Resort

We recently returned from the Royalton Blue Waters in Jamaica. The rooms were well appointed and the food was very good. We really liked the layout of the resort which felt like everything was at your fingertips - restaurants, pool, ocean and entertainment. The fitness and entertainment staff were terrific. With Rayon getting everyone involved with the activities and Kaffain, Kevin and Jeffrey making sure you got your sweat on. We had a blast. Dreams Rose Hall: Awesome Resort !!!

Great coffee and juice bar by the beach and Moonstone restaurant is awesome for Pizza!!!! Lazy River is awesome !!!!! Could use a better stage for the nightly entertainment though.. having the cement floor as the stage is not so nice!!!!

Sandals Caribbean Cay: Just what the doctor ordered!!

Sandals Royal Caribbean is a very well maintained small resort in MoBay! We loved that it was only 5 minutes from the airport and that we could also go to Sandals Montego Bay, where they have some great restaurants (and real rum and raisin ice cream at Cafe de Paris). The food at Sandals RC was excellent, the staff was very helpful and friendly and the drinks were plentiful! Sailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, beach volleyball. I would highly recommend renting a Cabana for an after [... read more]noon! It comes with a concierge and a nice cooler full of drinks. My wife claims it was the best nap she has ever had! The beach is very well maintained, but is on the smaller side. The main beach and pool area was very lively, but there are two smaller beaches that were very quiet, along with a quiet pool/hot tub area. Sandals might be a little more expensive than going to Cuba or DR, but it is well worth it!!

Huge resort. It had amazing food, the staff were extremely friday and very accommodating. One of the best resorts I have been too. I have been to 5 resorts in Jamaica and it was top 2 for sure. I woud reccomend this resort to anyone.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Luxury Bahia Principe Jamaica

Ok where to start...I have been to the Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana 5 times and Luxury Bahia Principe Punta Cana Twice. Check in was long and welcome staff took more than an hour to sort us out. Having been to this chain resort 7 times already and was treated to VIP status in Punta Cana I thought I would mention this...I was told no you have to have been 10 times to be upgraded rudely and she walked away. This was only the beginning. My long time work friend and I were then taken to our ro [... read more]om FAR on the other side of the resort with 1 KING SIZE BED. I had told my rep at trip central to mention this and the fact that my friend and I both had disabilities and trouble walking far!! I had also sent an email attesting to this. I also mentioned it was my friends birthday during our stay. With a phone call to the desk stating that we DID NOT LIKE our room??? I said to the head butler that it is not a matter of not liking the room, we asked for a double bed room. He replied that this is a COUPLES resort to which I responded no it is an ADULTS only resort, big difference as I would not have booked a couples resort. There are apparently only 1 double bed room on each floor. Therefore do not book a double bed room beach view as you will only get a king size bed room and no refunds. 3 days later and much complaining including to my trip central rep Robyn who was quick in sending the hotel an email our room was switched to directly beside the lobby area. First let me explain that the Luxury Bahia in Punta Cana is completely sectioned off from the Gran Bahia hotel, no access to other guests unless on a tour. The Don Pablo restaurant is adult only also. So we were in block 24 which is ATTACHED to the hallway for Gran Bahia. THERE IS NO SEPARATION from the Grand hotel!! The rooms on the opposite side of us were not luxury Bahia rooms. We had horrible red carpet in the hall it looked exactly like the Gran Bahia side. I think the Luxury Bahia hotel was not planned properly. Also the elevator which was NOT marked as 'staff only' on our floor was the staff elevator. We had to wait long periods for the elevator which had ladders sitting on the floor with no one in the elevator. Staff were constantly standing in front of it blocking it and would push their way onto the elevator without letting us get out first. It appears our switch was a smack in the face to pacify us. The air conditioning was not working properly at all. Maintenance came immediately but left a huge mess of rocks in the washroom tub and on the floor which the maid did not clean. This was terrible service. Our buffet restaurant was in the Gran Bahia side which was also an error in planning. The Gran Bahia pool had signs that said Luxury only for PART of the pool but was used for children also. Very confusing not planned hotel. They charged more money for luxury side when in fact your were NOT really getting anything extra. In our initial room there were clothes left in the dresser which we did not touch. The staff must have bagged it and brought it to our new room. We took the bag to the front desk and said its not ours. She called the Security desk and we were told we had to take it to them ourselves!! My friend spoke to the woman on the phone and said she is disabled and will do no such thing. At this point it became a matter of the two staff arguing about who said what! This was another example of terrible service. The Don Pablo restaurant had screaming children. The power went out for one night for four hours. Then continuously for 6 days intermittently. The WiFi disappeared from our room only to find out it was the whole block. The food at the buffet restaurant was pretty much exactly the same every day regardless of what 'themed' night it was. My friend complained to the Manager and spoke to the chef about hard potatoes, rubber lamb and hard chicken to which we were told was actually duck and had the wrong signage. Our Butler came to our room to say hello and then never saw her again. They forgot to do something for my friend for her birthday as they did to others also. The next day while were in our room, they opened the door WITHOUT knocking and instead of apologizing just said 'everything ok?' We were both thankfully dressed but shocked nonethless. The turndown service was only the maid knocking on our door at 530 to see if we needed anything which was great, but at the Luxury in Punta Cana they came into our room turned down the bed left clean towels and took used ones and left a towel design on the bed. HAving spent $2600 on this trip we expected more. Also at 5- 6 pm everyday they go around spraying a black/grey thick smoke pesticide all over the plants near the pool WHERE PEOPLE are still sitting. We were told it was harmless but I'm sorry I had to make sure I left the pool before this happened as I choked the first time. I thought this was appauling. The good parts was the Dolce Vita restaurant which was magnificent, Best food and service ever! Also our waitress Camella Walker and Coda Walker and Kanesha at the pool lunch restaurant were wonderful and bent over backwards. Also Mavis who made our omelettes every morning was all smiles and wonderful!! The entertainment crew was great they always had smiles and laughs for everyone regardless of rain or shine!! All in all after experiencing the Luxury hotel in Punta Cana we were VERY disappointed and will only return to the Luxury in Punta Cana.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Wonderful Stay at Luxury Bahia

It is a massive and beautiful resort. The rooms are very nice and very clean. The food was good with lots of places to eat. There is access to a very nice beach on the Grand side. The beach on the Luxury side is ok too but not a natural beach. We will definitely be back!

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: No need to go anywhere else!

I just got back from Iberostar Rosehall Beach Resort, where my friend and I spent our second stay there. Each time just keeps getting better. We can not say enough good things about this resort. The room was nice with an ocean view which we got upgraded to because we were returning guests. There were a few issues which needed to be resolved within the room but they were very friendly and compensated us very well for any inconvenience. The food was amazing. At the buffet you can find anything you [... read more] could possibly want. The a la carte restaurants were very good as well. The hotel is beautiful inside and out and grounds are kept very well. Everyone you see from front desk, bartenders, security guards and entertainment staff are friendly and make you feel right at home. In my opinion the entertainment staff are what makes this resort irreplaceable. The nightly shows are amazing and kept us laughing all week, and during the day there was always something going on that could keep you busy. Special shout out to Mr. Neat, String Bean, Teddy Bear, Pinky, Cupcake, Cordell and Stacy of the entertainment staff, you made our stay very memorable and you truly are amazing at what you do!

Riu Reggae: Fun and modern!

The staff make this resort, Sharon at the pool bar is the best! Loved her! You can really tell they love the guests and do what they can to make sure everyone is having a great time. I wish there was more culture in the resort itself though just more Jamaica in the decor. The rooms were spacious and clean. I would recommend a courtyard or ocean view though. The crowd was mid 20's to 50's and wasn't a problem, only went to the Montego Bay resort once but heard decent things about the n [... read more]ight club there. The food was great and there were loads of options for everyone, the snack bar could have used some more healthy options though as all that was there were nachos, hot dogs and cheese sandwiches.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Experience

It was my first time to Jamaica and it will not be my last. The entertainment team was PHENOMENAL! Activities were engaging, music on point, karaoke bar fun and on-site Disco music was great as well! With all of that said, However we did spot a cockroach or two.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: A Grand Vacation

An excellent resort, very compact , well laid out. Amazing crystal clear ocean with a soft shallow beach about a kilometre long. The room is big and comfortable but the hallways need updating as the carpet is worn down and looks tired. The choice and variety of food is excellent throughout all the restaurants. Overall Iberostar Grand is a lovely resort, very clean, breathtaking views and with excellent supportive staff, but the resort is starting to look tired.

Overall no complaints at all, the staff, the resort, the atmosphere, and the food were all outstanding. Would love to go again! Was at the resort for a wedding and they treated us like gold. Shouout to our man Krishna! he was the MVP. There was opportunity for relaxation as well as living it up!

Just got back from this wonderful resort. Amazing food and very clean! Friendly staff and lots of things to do! The only thing that I would complain lightly about would be that the beach had a bit of seaweed and was very shallow. Other than that is a 10/10 for me!

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Nice resort, not the vibe we thought Jamaica would be though

The resort itself was nice. It was very large with lots of walking and things were spread out depending on where you wanted to go. Lots of stairs so I wouldn't recommend it to older people, or the easily winded. Shuttles didn't come around often to pick you up. The beaches were very small and not very impressive. The food and drinks were all good. The vibe we thought Jamaica would be, was not. Staff were not overly friendly and some servers bringing drinks didn't even give a simple hello. Overall, we would not return to Jamaica because of the overall experience, not the hotel itself. I think the resort was really beautiful ,clean and convenient.everything was near by the pool,beach , buffet ,and grill bar.rooms were perfect and clean and no issues. The staff everywhere were friendly, kind and respectful.. The beach was well maintained and life guard was really nice and helpful. . I give this resort , staff and everything a 10 excellent

Luxury Bahia is an amazing resort it's huge especially if you have access to the grand Bahia side!! I would advise using the carts at the front of the resort to travel to the other side. Very professional staff

The hotel was just beautiful, all the staff was very hospitable. Rooms clean daily with fresh towels. Variety of foods to choose, love going to sea side grill restaurant for special of the day, patties just delicious also the midnight snacks, cannot ask for anything more as I am a food lover, fresh fruits daily.
