Iberostar Selection Varadero: Amazing resort!

We had a fantastic family vacation here (ages 3-60). Hotel was clean. Food was great. Staff was AMAZING! The beach was clean and we had no problems finding lounge chairs. The shows were great. Amazing performers. Would definitely come back to this resort.

Los Delfines: Amazing Resort

We have been to this resort 3 times know and this was by far the best time we had. Lots of chairs on the beach with umbrellas, Great staff and awesome food. In the middle of town so great for walking around town. Will definitely go back again.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Ok by Cuban standards

The resort has nicely kept grounds, and rooms were clean and comfortable. I wasn't aware that Cuba is experiencing a food shortage, so many items on the menu at the a la carte restaurants were unavailable and the buffets had limited selection (lots of cabbage, artichokes, other veggies were hard to come by). Until the food issue is solved, I wouldn't recommend Cuba at all. As a non-smoker, smoking is permitted in most areas which was unwelcome. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradises princess del mar

Resort is run down and should not be classified as a 5 star (even for Cuba). We enjoyed the pool bar, the beach and the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was awful however we weren’t expecting much so it wasn’t a huge surprise. I must say though, it was probably worse than I expected. I was sick from the pasta and tomato sauce and the specialty restaurants were difficult to get into. The lobby bar was the hub of the resort and had good coffee and cocktails round the clock. Overall it was a decent trip for the price. I would not want to be stuck there if there was bad weather but we lucked out in that department.

Grand Memories Varadero: Grand memories Varadero

Hotel grounds , lobby area , staff and beach are 5 star. I recommend doing the upgrade to diamond club as quality of the rooms, liquor, beach chairs, service etc is worth the money. Al a cart restaurants are good but they need one or two more as you are only allowed three if you have the upgrade, and only allowed one booking. Staff are great but should be more aware of the rude people that Butt in at the bars, coffee stations, as well as at the cook stations ! These butt in are totally obvi [... read more]ous and very rude! There should be signs Letting these people know that there is a line up. If something is being cooked ie at the Fish station, the cooks should not allow these rude people to take Everything on the grill , after I just waited 10 min for my one piece of fish !!! Overall the resort was clean , well kept, entertaining, staff were awesome. Exchange place was painfully slow.. get there before the line up otherwise you will waste your entire day in the line up.!!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Not recommended

The service was ok, mostly nice staff. I got at the hotel around 1pm, they made me wait till 4pm to give me a room cause they said our check in time is 4 while no one told me before pick a time for the flight.The room had big brown cockroaches and not so clean. I asked them at first night to change my room, they gave me another room the day after, at 3pm, after made me wait by the reception for an hour. The second room was better. On my last day they said I have to check out at 12 pm,so I didn't [... read more] have a room for 6 more hours and they gave me a room to take a shower for 30 minutes, the room was extremely dirty. Regardless that I payed for 4 days, I only had room for 3 days and I think Tripcentral should have charge me for 3days or let me know about that. Melia Las Americas: Our first visit to Cuba

Even though the hotel is a little tired, it was comfortable enough for us. The bath towels were a little thin on material but they served their purpose. The beach and ocean is top notch, which is why we went. The nightly entertainment in the lobby was very good. Many talented singers, dancers and instrumentalists. The patio on the ocean side was a great place to lounge and enjoy a beverage, a light lunch and listen to the live music during the late afternoon. The food was very good. Was disappointed that none of them served coffee or tea. Would have been nice with the desserts. The servers, wait staff, chefs at the grilling stations, valets and front desk reception were all great. They were all pleasant and tried to make us feel welcomed. The Varadero golf course next door was great. Good condition, lots of traps and bunkers and ample fairways. It’s a busy place so book Tee times asap.

Club Kawama: Rencontre les attentes

Hotel Kawama, Varadero Petit Hôtel au début de Varadero, 10 minutes à pied du marché de la 8-10ieme avenue, centre-ville. Bouffe très correct, répétitive mais bon choix de viandes: porc, boeuf, poulet, poisson si on met tout dans notre assiette le premier jour... Océan très beau, eau chaude, tout est à 100-200 mètres de nos activités. Pour le prix, rien à redire.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Lovely, lovely hotel!

This hotel was amazing. The staff was very welcoming and eager to please. The resort had a fair amount of maintenance occurring while we were there, but it was still extremely enjoyable and not at all inconvenient. The room was very nice and spacious. We will definitely return here and also highly recommend this place to our friends. It was a fairly quiet place to stay which for me, was what I needed.

Sol Palmeras: Great resort , Good value for the money,

Lots of lounge chairs around the pool and at the beach. Many cabanas on the beach. Staff helpful and very friendly. Standard room was in need of an upgrade, but adequate. Food in the buffet was the usual Cuba fare. Other venues around the resort were good, Entertainment was the best I’ve experienced in my 7trips to Cuba.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Not a Five Star

This hotel is very picturesque and the grounds are well kept and clean I am giving this hotel a 3 star rating. The beds were comfortable and clean however when we arrived in our room the floors were by no means clean. There was sand on them and washrooms still had hair from previous owners . I asked the cleaner if she would wash them for us and the next day they were done well. We had no hot water one night but we managed. Our bathtub faucets worked but only in certain positions and the w [... read more]ater pressure was low. Wi Fi was non existent even in the main lobby after purchasing three cards for it. We did not invest in the Royal Service but we spoke to guests that did and they told us it was not worth it and even tho they had free Wi Fi they still could not connect to the internet. Food was alright and we didn’t go hungry but selection was repetitive. Long waits in line ups to get food and the food was not kept hot enough. The a la carte restaurants were not good except for the Japanese which was very good ! Still we had a great time and the staff was very nice and attentive to our needs. If you don’t mind minor inconveniences then I would recommend this hotel. The beach was amazing at this resort !

Hotel Tuxpan: Good weather!

We had a great time in Cuba! The food as this resort was the worst I have had and I've been to Cuba 7 times. I lived off spaghetti and buns! Also there was no entertainment person....other than beach volleyball nothing was happening on the beach....same show every night....on the board it said magic show for one night....never happened. I stayed at starfish before (also a 3 star) and the entertainment was awesome....tug of war on the beach, foam party, beach party, rum testing, and lots more.... [... read more]they sure got the guest involved and had a blast! I will try a different resort next time.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Good resort

Overall great resort! We had a lot of fun. Hotel grounds were great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Water sports and beach amenities were a highlight. Food was good but some people in our group caught some sort of bug.

Punta Peninsula Varadero: Horrible

This is not a 4 star resort. We were totally surprise that only 150 guest were there, over 800 capacity. Lists 10 restaurants, 5 bars, 4 pools, 24 hr snack bar. Only one buffet was open, terrible food reheated and one a la cart. Coffee bar was awesome but don’t walk away with your cup! No activities at the beach or pool! Only one pool opened. Rooms need renovations. Stains on bed covers, couldn’t lock sliding door. Bar fridge inadequate, only 2 beers and one water bottle during our stay. [... read more] Talking to other resort guest on the beach, hearing they had lobster, shrimp, seafood at their buffet, you realize you made a big mistake, yet we paid dearly for it. They say it’s low season, this was too much for our liking. We travelled to Cuba many times and never experienced this. Wish we known ahead that resort is in transition.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: I loved it

The food was great loved the pool,beach, and fantastic entertainment. Maid could do a better job but l will definitely go back. I also loved the coffee shop piano bar and entertainment in lobby bar.?????????????????????????????????

Hotel Los Cactus: Run down

Grounds were unkempt. Rooms were dirty. Public toilets were filthy. Air conditioning did not work. Doors did not lock. Food was below average. Birds ate out of buffet. Cats abounded. Staff was friendly. Beach was awesome. Entertainment was poor. Resort in whole was rundown and understaffed. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Average stay

Hotel is beautiful but needs upkeep . For a property that is 3 yrs old it is not well kept. Food is average and staff seems unhappy. Nothing is labeled at the buffet and the a la carte restaurants lack attention to detail ie take forever to come around with wine and lack ambience. Coffee at the coffee bar was great, don’t expect much at the buffet. Been to Cuba 7 times and have definitely had better. Pools were clean and drinks were great. Barcelo Solymar: The best time

I came with my sister, ages 26 and 21 and this is definitely a party resort. So close to walk into town, about a 2 beer walk to the beetles bar and calle 62 if you cut through arenas blancas. Beaches are beautiful and clean, staff are great, food isn’t that good we ate in town most nights. Do NOT lose your towel they will give you a very hard time but overall- if you’re looking for a good time and to party this is the place to go. Definitely had wild nights here.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Amazing Resort and People!

Hotel is clean, bright and lively. Pools are spotless and the grounds are immaculately maintained. Rooms are spacious and the staff do a great job cleaning them each day. Food was wonderful, different items with each meal and day. The staff are so friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Los Delfines: Had a nice vacation

The hotel was relative to what we paid. One pool was empty, a few creepy crawlers and some unlit hallways. The staff however, so friendly and kind, the location was awesome and our oceanview room and balcony was so amazing. Would definitely go back but bring some extra snacks ;)
