This is my 3rd visit,obviously,I like it here.Golfing is great !! The people working there are all very nice.I wish something could be done for the hoards of inconsiderate people that "reserve" there beach chair with a towel.This is ridiculous,there is no one on the beach,but no chairs.You should stop this,some how,disallow this.I have been to places that do not allow this.Otherwise food,rooms were great,and everything else.Thanks Terry

Occidental Punta Cana: Beautiful resort with amazing people!!

This was the first time my husband an I were in dominican and it was everything and more!! The resort was absolutely beautiful, very clean everything was close and the people were the best part! All the workers where so nice and made our trip that much more amazing. The food was fantastic. Always so much to choose from in the buffets. We tried all the el la carts and they were all sooo good! Food was never an issue at this resort, there was always somewhere to grab a bite! The beach is where we spent most of our time! Talking to the locals on the beach was the highlight of our day! Other than the staff wearing masks it was a vacation away from covid, we didn't need to wear masks or worry about anything! The resort was so clean so we didn't worry about anything. We traveled with air transit so we had our covid test in our room which was do convenient! We will definitely be going back to this resort next year and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller, quite resort!!

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Needs improvements

First impression of resort was good. Service needs improvement. Grounds and pool seemed well looked after. Our private rooftop patio was our saviour for making our trip until a drone was flown above it and violating our privacy.So upset that I made a formal complaint. Not that I believe it’ll go anywhere. Most food was lukewarm at best. Few servers were very attentive. Some hostesses were rude. Few understood English. Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Will never use Tripcentral again!

We loved LOVED the resort. The pools and beach were incredible but the most amazing part was the food. Top notch. Will for sure go back to Royalton Bavaro. Thank you for a week in heaven! Tripcentral got many things wrong and I’m paying the consequences- literally. Brutal customer service. From not booking us when we thought we were booked to booking us in a room we didn’t ask for and having to downgrade at the resort. Among other things. Just brutal. Ocean El Faro: Home away from home

The rooms were hugh and very comfortable. There were lots to choose from for food. One draw back is the resort does not not accept reservations for the a la cart restaurants. Therefore you end up standing in line waiting for a table to open up for your dinner instead of relaxing with a beverage until your dinner time. Dealing with the staff at the front desk was not a great experience.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful beach

The hotel has an amazing beachfront with lots of space. We always found a great spot at the beach or pool even if we were a little late going down. Staff was very friendly and had great service, especially the bartenders at the pool and lobby bar - they could make anything you can imagine! Staff followed covid protocols (masking, cleaning between guests) well, and there was hand sanitizer available at entrances to buffets, however we brought our own sanitizer for the table which made us more com [... read more]fortable. The air transat representative at the hotel was helpful in booking us our covid test to return to Canada, and he sent a nurse to our room to complete the test so we didn’t need to wait in line. Alternatively there was testing in the conference room in the lobby. The al la carte restaurants had delicious food, particularly the Mediterranean and Italian! The room was nice, bed was very comfortable, however our hair dryer didn’t work (which was ok for us, and we didn’t ask them to fix it). Overall a great trip, would definitely go back. Excellence Punta Cana: Returning after 2 year's absence

Truly a 5 star resort experience. Definitely worth the upgrade to Excellence Club - exclusive beach area, Magna Restaurant & lounge with high end booze. Superb service from the staff with many of them remembering us from 2 years ago! No wrist bands or reservations required for the restaurants. Food is varied & very good, with 7 restaurants open most nights. Our favourites were the Magna & the Grill Steakhouse. This is not a good place for swimming in the ocean with high waves & pounding surf over most of the beach area. It is also a good half to three quarters of an hour drive from the airport, so accessing anything offsite requires planning. I recommend this place for older couples who want a mellow experience, chill at the pool or on the beach, eat excellent food & enjoy the entertainment.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

The Amenities were very close and the staff was amazing, even through COVID they were always there to help in any way. I would recommend this resort. Our butlers Emilio and Teuidi were excellent in getting our questions answered and were very quick to respond to our emails. Every restaurant that we visited the staff again was there to help in any way. Our hotel stay was really great. The grounds are very beautiful, the rooms are clean and the food is really good. We stayed in the Diamond club and it was well worth it. A big shout out to our butlers Amilio and Teudi they were simply amazing. They touched base everyday to ensure that we had everything we needed and find out where we would like dinner reservations for the evening. We were there with a small group to renew our vows for our 25th wedding anniversary and our wedding planner Channiel did an amazing job as well. Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly. Our room was very close to the beach. Only issue was trying to book one of the restaurants only managed to book one rest of the time we had to go to the buffet. Overall the food and coffee shop was good. Rooms are big and spacious. I must say our booking rep at Trip Central Kevin Dupuis was exceptional from our confirmation to every bit of information you would require

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Best Resort Ever!

The whole resort was kept in excellent shape. The food was great! The people are amazing! Very clean, you get waited on hand and foot. Definitely a 5 star resort! Our butler, Angel went up over and beyond. He came and talked to us everyday and made sure everything was perfect. The beach was as beautiful as could be. Soft white sand blue water, picture perfect!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Well maintained resort

Very enjoyable experience staying at this resort. Clean, well managed, recently renovated suits. Good food with a lot of variety and choices . Enforced covid protocols. Excellent coffee in the coffee shop. Will recommend to anybody, solo, couples or families .

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing swim up room

The Bahia Principe Ambar was sold out while we were there but it didn't feel overcrowded. The swim up room is totally worth it because you have your own deck, loungers, and private pool with almost no one around you at any one time. Nice and peaceful. The beach is excellent, lots of palapas and loungers, and good staff to bring you drinks from the beach bar. The buffets were excellent for selection in terms of fresh fruit, veggies, lots of meat choices but also plenty of vegetarian options. Super chill, party if you want around the main pool in the afternoon, but nothing too crazy.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great Resort - beautiful grounds, good food - rooms sparkling clean but could use updating

First Note - I would go back to this resort - it was not perfect but was really good. Grounds- the grounds are lush and gorgeous. The buildings are pretty - some older with Caribbean charm and others more updated Room -we were in 81401 which was top floor in front of the pool. It was very clean, smallish closet, but had shelves and cupboards that provided everything we needed. The bed was very firm (bordering on hard) and there were lots of pillows. Towels were changed every day. The [... read more] housekeeping staff did an excellent job. Good safe to secure your valuables. The hallways echo so you can hear loud people coming and going but we only experienced this once. Air conditioning and water pressure were good. The room was very dated - we would prefer a modern and updated room. The room cards had to be replaced a few times as they sometimes wouldn’t work. Pool - very clean, lots of chairs and umbrellas and cabanas. Pool temp was perfect. The loungers were older but worked great. Beach/pool towels - not great. They use the old system of towel cards so you can only ever have one towel at a time. (Not enough for me but others wouldn’t care). The Towel bar doesn’t open until 9:00 which is late for some of us (7:00 is what I would expect). But when they are open you can get or exchange your towels easily. Beach - gorgeous white sandy beach - beach frontage has decreased due to water levels rising therefor the loungers are very cramped. No beach service provided for Aquamarine. Check-in - they seemed a bit disorganized at the start but we got on the first tram to the aquamarine lobby so it was faster for us. Restaurants- 1. Reservations: our friends send an email a week prior to our arrival asking for dinner reservations each night, with a time range and leaving the days for each reservations to the resort to sort - unfortunately they didn’t make a single reservation for us. They scrambled on our arrival and got us 5 a la carte reservations but most of them were late. Maybe the APP would have been more reliable however we didn’t want to provide personal identification information on the APP, which was required. 2. Food: the food was very good. Breakfast at the buffet had lots of variety and was very fresh. Lunches were good - poolside paellas were excellent and the burgers were ok. Buffet restaurants for lunch were good. Our favorite restaurant was El Olivo. - fantastic food and excellent servers. The other restaurants were: Mikado, Meat, Limbo, Protofino, Bella Italian. Good food - some great. Staff - most staff were excellent- many did not speak much English.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Air Canada Rep dropped the ball

Hotel was good but Air Canada rep never showed for meeting. No books on pick up time for return trip due to Covid. QR codes need to be created to inform travellers of pick up times. I would suggest that the handout we receive on the bus on the way to the hotel also include pick up time and location for the the return trip. It should also note when the rep will be at the hotel during our stay.

Punta Cana Princess: Amazing Resort

The whole resort looks awesome. The rooms are well looked after. The food is good. Pool is kept clean and crystal clear. The staff are always willing to help. The beach is fabulous, lots of lounges, soccer nets, volleyball net. Lots of activities on the beach.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Fantastic week off

Hotel was good, a little mess in the room with water keeps coming out of the washroom when anyone took shower but overall it was goo. Good was great, the staff was awesome and humble… extremely helpful. We had a great week off!

TRS Cap Cana Hotel: An oasis of calm

This resort was very clean and it was reassuring to see the staff frequently cleaning down handrails and elevators etc. all staff members wore masks. The pools and grounds were nicely kept and the gardens well maintained. There were lots of staff present to see to our every need and the majority of them spoke English. Maria, our butler, treated us like family and was excellent. Richard, who oversaw our room service orders, was excellent. There were activities scheduled every day and we attended the Chic Dinner Cabaret which we thoroughly enjoyed. Staff at reception were most helpful and professional and were always welcoming and smiling. Our plan was to relax, enjoy the sun in pleasant surroundings and we were able to do that.

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Fantastic Resort

This was our second time back to the beautiful Majestic Mirage. From the entrance to the resort, to the rooms, to the beautiful gardens throughout the resort - absolutely spotless. There is always someone cleaning and we felt very safe. All of the staff wore masks and most of the guests wore them when you were indoors. As you entered the restaurants masks were available and everyone was required to sanitize their hands before entering.

Excellence Punta Cana: Long awaited Adult vacation

Loved the layout of this hotel and the upgrade to Ocean view was definitely worth the price. Particularly liked that there many restaurants to choose from. (as to be expected some were better than others, The Lobster House was surprisingly the one we enjoyed the least.)
