Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos: A picturesque getaway

We chose this hotel for its charm and location and because it is a small(ish) resort. The grounds are meticulously kept. The views are fantastic. It was wonderful to be able to watch the whales breach from our balcony. Food was good, drinks were wet, loved being able to go for a walk into town daytime or evening. The service was excellent. Grand Oasis Riviera: Terrible Resort

This resort is the worst I have ever been too. No entertainment. Front desk staff are very ignorant. Bars close at 11:00 and don’t open til 11:00. Beach is not maintained and if you don’t get up and put towels on a chair by 5:00 am you won’t have a chair on beach or around pool. Line up early for ala carted or you are waiting forever. I would never return here.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good time!

My boyfriend and I had a great time at Coba, however we had no idea how large the resort was. We had to change our room after the first day because we had a broken toilet, no hot water or pressure and we seemed quite far from the 2 main pools. The front desk had someone fix the toilet immediately and they moved us without any issues. We didn't love having to take the shuttle to the beach but it came regularly so it wasn't that big of a deal. The best thing about the resort was the food and d [... read more]rinks. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Hidden costs and understaffed

I had a nice room and the food was really good. However, this “all inclusive” resort had a ton of hidden costs which were never mentioned to me upon check in - room service delivery charge, the coffee shop was not free, ice cream shop was not free, the daybeds were almost $200 USD a day to rent, a lot of the lunch specials weren’t included such as the lobster day, and lots of the wines at dinner were an extra cost etc. I’ve never been to an all inclusive like that and it was honestly really frus [... read more]trating. It was extra frustrating that they did not even let you know what was and wasn’t included upon check in. Further, the a la carte restaurants were a nightmare to navigate. You could only make a reservation at the Italian one for some reason? However, even that was next to impossible to get. As a result, expect to wait at least an hour at the restaurants unless you go right when they open up. You would sometimes be waiting for a table and there would be a bunch of empty ones, likely because they are understaffed and can’t accommodate that many guests at once. Some of the bars near the ocean had consistently long wait times as well. In terms of entertainment, there was no theatre for shows. I’ve never been to an all inclusive without that before. They try to do some little shows outside near the lobby but seating is limited and they weren’t that great compared to other resorts I’ve been to. There is no disco like most resorts have. Overall, I’d say this is more a time share by the beach type of place rather than your typical all inclusive. The staff were all lovely and the food was above average. However, the hidden costs, wait times, and lack of entertainment were disappointing.

El Pueblito De Sayulita: Restful location in a chaotic town.

The best part of this hotel is the tranquility from the busy and chaotic main part of town. Positives… New ownership and management. Cenen, the new manager, is working hard to learn the ropes and is listening to all reasonable suggestions. This very safe hotel is in an excellent location, three minutes walk to the beach and and ten minutes walk to the main part of town. Also… Leo and Jonathon in the restaurant are great. Breakfast is wonderful, as well as the homemade guacamole. Empa [... read more]ro, the reservation manager, goes above and beyond to assist, as well as Alexandro in the office who is trying hard to perfect his English. The pool is cold but clean and there are usually plenty of chairs which are kept clean. The bedrooms are great, clean and have comfortable beds. The hotel needs a bit of love to bring it back to what it was meant to be. The big wooden chairs in the suites are impossibly dreadful, and the daybeds in most suites are located where the tv cannot be viewed. The kitchens are poorly outfitted and this would be an inexpensive fix. (ie ..we had three forks and two spoons for a unit designed to accommodate six people). Overall, we are very pleased with our hotel choice.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Amazing Travel Agent

Mike was really great. Helped us along the way, kept in touch and was very responsive. Was happy to have him as we were travelling as a group and with children. Will use him in the future for sure and would recommend him to anyone

The Pyramid Cancun: Terrible Resort

When we arrived we were told to just go up an elevator to our room. No help or guidance what so ever! Our room was dirty, the sheets were dirty, there was no where to put our clothes, no room service, no reaching front desk, at 9:30 in the morning they told us they were out of food at the vip restaurant! We were so unhappy that we went to another hotel! Would never go back there again! Terrible customer service!

Sunscape Cancun Resort and Spa: Wonderful place!

Had a great time at this resort. The room was clean and the staff was very courteous. Always greeted us with a smile and were professional in their conduct. They have a good choice of restaurants and the food was amazing. A very family friendly resort. Would highly recommend if you are traveling with kids.

Park Royal Beach Huatulco: Ok hotel.

The hotel itself was fine. Clean, maintained well. The staff were friendly. The food at the buffet was not very good. You could usually find something that was ok. The breakfast restaurant on the 7th floor pool area was good and the Italian a la cart was good.

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Just Amazing .... Wow

Where to start,,, This Resort was way better than I expected!! We Book in the Adult scene with the package Star class with a swimup room ... Nooo regret at all !! Starting from the check In to the Checkout!! Amazing service in every corner of the resort .. Buffet was super good and lots of option & A la carte was exelent!! Our biggest fear when we booked at first was the beach but Wowww .. Barcelo Ixtapa: Barcelo Ixtapa Beautiful Resort and friendly people

We have been to Mexico many times and have always enjoyed the resorts and surrounding community. This was our first time in Ixtapa and also at the Barcelo. It was wonderful. For starters - very close to the airport so a quick jaunt to the hotel. The Air Canada folks are friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing, especially the breakfast and lunch menus. We often venture off the resort in the evening to sample "local" cuisine and were not disappointed. The market is close by for thos [... read more]e who want keepsakes for home and pretty much have everything. we've been so often we don't buy much anymore but it's there if you're interested. There are 3 pools, none were overly crowded despite the very busy hotel so it was enjoyable. The service was very good as we stayed with the all-inclusive package. The drinks were tasty and plentiful. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were quick and responsive as were the reception desk folks. We were able to attend 2 shows in the evening, The Mexican Fiesta was one and it was very nice. Our travel agent Shauna did a remarkable job taking care of our reservations. we have worked with Shauna in the past. She never disappoints. I have to say we would not hesitate to return to this resort. One of the best we've stayed in - and as stated - we've been to many.

Crown Paradise Golden: Crown golden pv

Another trip done at crown golden in pv we found the same great people trying do the work with not enough staff long lines on the bars and snack bars the old hotel is getting very tired. Rooms were clean but we had no water in the room on our last day the food was good I think the owners should let the people on the beach sell you a tour and take more pride in the service they provide After 6 times at the crown I think it is time to move on but I will miss the location and the s [... read more]taff. Dreams Jade Resort and Spa: Great Resort

This hotel is situated perfectly right on the beach with all the restaurants and shops centrally located. Food is really good, service was excellent and entertainment was also very good. The room needs refreshing-a coat of paint would be helpful but very comfortable bed and nice big bathroom that was never short on hot water. Air conditioning also worked great. We took advantage of the spa services and were very happy with the experience. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Decent resort!

The grounds of the hotel were very spread out and travelling with a mobility challenged person was hard as 1/2 elevators did not work! Very quiet not real sociable or a lot of activities. Food was plentiful and very good. Entertainment was very little. They did have golf carts but the wait and the occupancy was very busy. they pushed their timeshares apon arrival but if you avoided the lobby, you were fine and not harassed. I would recommend for a quick cheap getaway but not for any length of time.

Occidental Cozumel: Lovely experience

We have nothing but good things to say about this hotel and our Westjet representatives onsite. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was good, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. We had a lovely experience. The resort grounds were lush and delight to walk through.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Beautiful resort!

Our stay here was amazing. The food was exceptional. The buffet wasn’t always the greatest but the eight(!!) a la carte restaurants more than made up for it and every restaurant was outstanding. The room was spacious with everything we could have wanted. The pools were always clean and the bar staff were always so friendly and responsive.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great time

Rooms: They were a bit outdated, Ac and water worked well. Walls are thin and can hear everything around you. Rooms were cleaned daily (when they came early and you say not now, they would come back later) and fridge restocked daily with water, soda and beer. Grounds: the grounds were well kept. The pools were clean and always people out sweeping and cleaning up. The resort is very large so there is a fair bit of walking and takes a bit of time to know your way around. The App definitely hel [... read more]ped on the first day. Food and Drinks: The food was ok and drinks were not strong. But if you drink enough it won’t matter. The last bar on resort closes at midnight so if you want to party beyond 12, you will need to go to town or buy alcohol to have in your room.

Catalonia Yucatan: Second Class Guest

This was our 7th stay at the Catalonia Yucatan Beach and it will be our last. We loved staying at this Resort. At the time we booked (August) all the ‘Specialty’ Restaurants were included. Just before our final payment (December 8, 2023) we noticed that the website for the Catalonia Yucatan Beach no longer included the Japanese, Steak House or B’loved restaurants. We contacted Trip Central about this and they in turn contacted Westjet Vacations. We were told not to worry we would be able to go [... read more] to all of the restaurants. When we got to the Catalonia Yucatan we found out that NO, we did not have access to the Japanese, the Steak House or B’loved restaurants. When the guests of the sister hotel Catalonia Riviera had access to everywhere, we definitely felt like second class guests.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Wonderful resort

Very clean, has attentive staff, excellent food choices and quality. A great location right in the middle.of Playa Del Carmen. The rooms are large and look very nice. The little beach is also very nice and kept clean regularly.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Amazing

This hotel provides the best of both worlds - you get the experience of an all inclusive and also the experience of the Xcaret Park which is beside the resort. The staff are friendly and attentive; the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. You get to see wildlife basically at your door every day. They have multiple international restaurants and the main buffet dining room provide a large variety of dishes that meet everyone's needs. The food is fresh, well presented and delicious.
