Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Unforgettable vacation

Me and my boyfriend we went to iberostar daiquiri on November 18 for two weeks. As the title states it was unforgettable vacation. The service food staff rooms beach everything about the hotel was fantastic. We flew with air transat our flight and transfer to the hotel went very smooth at the hotel we were greeted with beautiful smile and friendly faces. Our beautiful room was waiting for us. Service at the bar was very friendly and fast. Staff was very helpful at all times. Beach is beautiful white sand baby blue waters. Our safe didnt work the first day but that was quickly fixed. It’s always a pleasure going back to this fantastic hotel. We were there for the 20th anniversary of a iberostar daiquiri. As returning guests we were invited to a special cocktail and all the women were giving beautiful roses and lots of thanks from the stuff to us . My family had an amazing trip to Cubs resort was clean friendly and everything we needed.... show were great all good for this resort 😀Beaches were clean food was great lots to do and see at this resort

Melia Costa Rey: Not worth it.

Disappointed with this hotel. Never any hot water for showers. They ran out of the good beer second day into vacation. Only thing i liked was the staff were very friendly. Food was okay but a lot of rude people. Wasnt worth waiting in line at buffet because food was always cold. Italian restaurant wasnt good at all. French restaurant was amazing.

Hotel Mojito: Wonderful resort, wonderful staff!

Beautiful pool areas and beach. Entertainment each night was fabulous. Staff are very friendly. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Very attractive resort. Close to airport. Since hurricane in 2017 dining/restaurant choices are limited. The Malicon restaurant had wonderful food and service.

Melia Costa Rey: Great Time at Pullman!

Check In - I was there with a large group and check in was quick and efficient. Most of my guests rooms were ready on arrival but some waited until 4 pm to get there room which is check in time Rooms - Rooms were large and clean. We had some issues with water the first day (I think it was shut off to repair a problem) but other than that it was fine. Some of my guest had beetles in their rooms but nothing to worry about. Beer was not stocked daily as on day 4 the hotel ran out of crystal an [... read more]d only offered premium beer at the bars Restaurants - We had some trouble booking restaurants because when we first arrived the resort booked our entire group (50+ people) together to eat at the a la carte but did not provide us with the slips until day 3 into our vacation. After speaking with manager and staff we were able to cancel the group reservations and allow our guests to book independently. Only problem was most of the restaurants were full by that time Overall, we had a wonderful time at the resort. Evening shows were good especially rock show and horror show and beach bash was a blast. Food was good for Cuba (even found lettuce salad) but our favourite was the cuban restaurant for lunch. Only thing that would have made our trip better was if they didn't run out of crystal!

Melia Costa Rey: Fantastic

Staff were excellent, didn’t feel like you had to tip all the time. Room was clean. Only room complaint was the very firm, uncomfortable mattress. Food was great at buffet & à la carte. Should have more than one person in office booking restaurants. 3-4 omelette makers. Grounds well-kept. Beach very clean. Fun entertainment at pool & theatre. Would go again

Melia Costa Rey: Resort was ok

This resort was ok, hotel room clean but smelled musty , the pools were great, the food was good all the a-la-carte restaurants were very good. Sand flies or no-see-ums were very bad, bring bug spray, bring Benadryl. Went to Moron on day trip very nice. Glass bottom boat , had a good time. People and severs were all great and friendly. Close to Airport 20 minutes. Hotel ran out of draft beer after two days, not happy about that cold beer. Would had been nice to have a hot tub to enjoy in the mo [... read more]rning or evening. Entertainment during the day was very good the guys and girls made it a fun day and evening was ok. Should of had severs for the pool area.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Sadly Disappointed!

We feel we did not receive what we had paid for. Air Transat sold us an all-inclusive package to the Hotel Colonial by Iberostar. With this package, we were supposed to receive an air-conditioned room, a room with a working television, and hot and cold water. We had a two week vacation booked. During those two weeks, we had no air-conditioning, we had no T.V. and only 4 days in which we were able to take a warm shower. We normally do not complain but this was not acceptable. My husband went to t [... read more]he Air Transat rep, who then took him to the General Director. Both seemed "surprised" that this was the case. Only problem was, there had been many complaints brought forward by many clients......NOTHING was done. The only suggestion was to move rooms.......we chose not to because many rooms had the same problem and there was very few rooms left available!. So needless to say, we did not completely enjoy the vacation we had thought we had been sold to us. As far as we were and are concerned, it was false advertising by Air Transat and Iberostar. VERY DISAPPOINTING! The staff there are amazing and just as frustrated as much as the clients!

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Beautiful resort and beach

Food at buffet not kept hot at all. Food and juice runs out and not replenished at breakfast so go early. Stick to grill station and breads to avoid stomach upset. Staff pleasant like everywhere else in the world nice clean resort to relax or to get involved in activities if you like to. Tiny mosquitoes can be a problem for many Bug spray helps.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: What we expected !

Our trip to Memories Caribe was very good, we wanted a decent 2nd floor, water view room. We were minutes from the beach, dining, snacks and drinks. Snorkeling was good to the west about a kilometer from the Diamond Club beach and walking for kilometers to the east and west of the Caribe. Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia Jardines del Rey Cayo Coco

This is our second time to this resort with kids (currently 10 and 16), we were there 3 years ago as well with the kids. We have also visited Cuba several other times to various cities and resorts. For 7 days all inclusive from Toronto we paid $750/per person and I can say that it was WELL worth it. The food isn't amazing, but it's not bad (we were at Melia Buenavista 1.5 years ago for 4X the price and the food there was so AWFUL we actually came to dread mealtimes, so comparatively this was fan [... read more]tastic!) - and ultimately we don't go there for the food. The beach is the best: white sand, clear crystal blue (warm) water, the staff is friendly and attentive (front desk staff was especially effective and attentive, we had to switch rooms as we really wanted joining rooms and they did everything expediently to accommodate our needs - thank you!), the lobby and rooms are clean and very comfortable. This is not a 5 star "american" resort, but it is perfectly comfortable and we will look forward to returning with the kids again - the entire one side of the beach is completely undeveloped and a massive sandbar which is just stunning and private and gorgeous for both walking and swimming and sea-shell hunting. We have loved seeing Barmichi, the donkey, still there and well cared for. Thank you for a wonderful week! Tips: bring bug spray as calm or grey days, as well as some evenings get buggy. We stayed in building 21 which looks over the "family pool" and while some guests were loud at night, that pool was otherwise very quiet. We brought re-usable plastic mugs to use during the day for drinks so as not to be going through the little plastic cups which aren't terribly environmentally friendly, nor do they hold much liquid or keep it cold... We pre-booked our seats on the way home through Air Transat for $25/person and then took a cab for $25 which was about 20 minutes away - well worth is to stay a little longer on the beach in the morning, so we didn't have to take the bus 3 hours early to stand in line at the airport.

Hotel Mojito: Awesome staff

There where 11 of us in total all arriving and leaving on different days. The staff are so amazing always smiling and making everyone feel welcome. The rooms a commen areas where clean. Food was ok loved the alacarts, we never went hungry. Different choices for drinks, Freddy was great at the cigar bar and he also new so much history about the resort. Pool area and beach where clean and tidy. Great place 👏

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Pestana holiday

I had the best 7 days. The people there are so nice, friendly and eager to help. Always with a smile on their faces. Everything was just perfect. I’m going back for sure. But next time I will definitely go outside the resort and see Cuba.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Never again!

This resort could be fabulous if the grounds were maintained, numerous maintenance issues taken care of and done effort was put into the food options. I’ll start with the positive... best beach I’ve EVER been to, great layout of the resort with multiple pools for every type of need or desire, no lack of pool or beach chairs with plenty of shade on the beach if you prefer and it is very close to the airport (15 minute bus ride) . On the negative side...food was absolutely horrible with very l [... read more]ittle change from day to day. I know people say it’s cuba but I’ve been to 3 other resorts in Cuba and have had decent to very good buffets. General maintenance was non existent. Simple bathroom door latches not fixed, concrete garbage cans crumbling and various other repairs that made the resort look run down. No toilet paper or hand soap in public washrooms 60% of the time. Grass not cut and litter not picked up on a daily basis...ie empty beer bottle on the lawn for more than 2 days. Most of the staff were pretty good except for the ones who creeped on my daughter while she was trying to work out at the gym every day. It got so bad she couldn’t go anymore. The nightly entertainment was boring. Every night was just a different dance theme.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Amazing beach!

The beach was absolutely stunning white sand calm waters! I had difficulties with some room issues as the bath tubs are a little to high for me but front desk was able to help me the next day! Food was a 4star but the beach was breathtaking! Will definetely return.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: fabulous resort

I had a fantastic time at this resort. It was my second time there. I have no complaints at all everyone was super nice and made our stay fabulous. We will definitely go back. I would like to thank Beth McKinley at Tripcentral once again for making booking a trip so stress free. We will definitely be calling her again on our next trip.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful beach and nice resort

Overall it was OK.Beautiful beach and ocean front.Rooms were nice and spacious.Many of the staff were not friendly and ignorant which was a huge surprise.Food was ok but not what we expected. There was always a shortage of everything. No beer. No limes. No mojitos. No fries. No hamburgers. No chicken. No juice. Everything was "sorry, finish". Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: WHAT A FANTANSTIC VACATION

We have just got back from Grand Mutho cayo guierello what an awesome place, first l would like to say the staff was amazing especially the entertainers we were so pleasant, the bartenders, servers, front desk was so organized the day of arrival, food was great lots to choice from, they hotel has a few things that still need to get done, like a shopping center the theater, and a few a la carte which will be done by December, other than that it was a wonderful family trip we were there for 12  [... read more]days

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Beautiful Resort

The room we had 4117 came with an ocean and pool view, large, modern and very clean. The room had plenty of hangers and more than enough space for all your clothes. It had a safe, fridge and even two umbrellas. Check in was the easiest I’ve ever encountered, no line ups and the rooms were ready when we arrived which was early. There was also a fun looking kids pool. You won’t go hungry, there was a lot of different options to choice from but I would have liked to have seen more Canadian meal type preparations. Having said that the food was still good and lots of it. The food at the 24 hour snack bar seemed to be always cold. I personally would suggest they change this to a bbq and cook the food when ordered. I mentioned this to our Air Transat rep and she had us meet with the chief who seemed pleased to have had the opportunity to talk to us. All the people working at this resort couldn’t do enough for you they are genuinely lovely hard working people. I would most definitely go back.

Beautiful resort and will return for sure. The shows we seen were great. The pools are amazing.. the view from the pools are amazing. The rooms are beautiful and very clean the hallways to the rooms look very nice at night with the way they light up.. overall great vacation
