Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Grand Bahia Principe Coba Mexico An Excellent Hotel
Presentation & service were excellent!! The grounds and buildings were beautiful & the service was just wonderful. The meals were delicious. The only "problem" we had was that we did not receive our 4 a.m. wake up call to go home even though I made it very clear to the receptionist who spoke English. Fortunately we woke up anyway.
The beache at Coba & Tulum were covered in seaweed ( not fault of hotels ) They made many efforts to remove it. By the time we discovered the beach at Akumel [... read more] ( it was better ) it was time to come home. The staff all went that extra mile, especially Juan who cleaned our room, 32224 Coba !! Please give him our thanks. Gary & Monica Ewart

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Good Resort could Improve
Going to try and make this short. Stayed June 24th-July1.2017 Travelled with my wife and my 2.5 year old Daughter. Have been to Punta Cana twice prior to this trip. Resort is nice castle and grounds very well kept. This resort connects to two other resorts that you have access to some facilities at beware though no access to any of the other neighboring buffets. So if you don't secure a la carte reservations you will have the choice of two buffets or room service which gets pretty boring when yo[... read more]u eat breakfast and lunch at either or daily. Very hard to get reservations for a la carts at decent time once you check in we were able to secure two one at the Italian and the second at the restaurant by the beach Las Olas. (Another Buffet) not bad but don't like the reservation format they should make it clear how to make reservations before you go. They say to use the app but you can’t use the app until you are checked in and by the time you are checked in there is very few spots left and none at others. Everyone says email the resort prior but no email is listed anywhere I could find to make the reservations. We did get sick off the food, I was sick from the beef at Garden Circus and my wife was sick from the salmon at garden circus. Didn’t get hand food mouth my daughter was fine. As long as you make sure to sanitize your child’s hands before they enter the restaurant or feed them a snack at the pool I think they should be fine. At all the restaurants the staff are waiting with hand sanitizer which I thought was a good thing. Pools were never closed when we were there. Beach had a lot of sea weed but I think that was from recent storm not usually like that. Casino was okay but is at the neighboring hotel, Small in size has a few slots and few tables. Pools were good however the whole thing about reserving the chairs is correct you need to go out before you go to breakfast if you have any hope of getting one in the shade or with an umbrella. If you want the tent ones you probably need to be up at 6am. Free Wi-Fi is good you have to re login every couple of days but service is good. One negative I did have was we went for the family photo session photographer was great pictures were good but prices to buy them were just crazy. If you wanted to by all 50 pictures they took it would have cost $800us and that is just to burn them to a disc. We bought 15 for $150. They won’t barter on the price either. My advice don’t get the photo-shoot that way you won’t want to buy any. We really wanted the photos but I was not going to pay $800 US for 50 photos on a CD. Also almost positive the guy at the pool that convinced us to do the photo shoot said we could buy them all for $150 which is reasonable but that was not the case. I know when we stayed at a different resort we did the photo shoot and bought them all for $150. Also one other thing to mention is don’t worry about brining pool toys beach toys etc. as they have stands that sell some buy the pool and they are priced reasonable. Other negative was they have a sign on the mini bar in the room saying if you want the mini bar refilled more than once a day it is subject to an extra charge, I feel this should not be the case if paid for all inclusive. All in all not bad for a family resort I wouldn’t go as a couple if you don’t have kids.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great experience
Food, amenities, entertainment were all great. They had activities for all groups and ages. Nightly shows were fairly good. We Enjoyed the Michael Jackson show. Seaweed at beach was a bit of a nuisance. Definetly suggest to explore the alcart restaurants especially the Italian.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great property.
The room and washroom are really spacious and very clean.Very picturesque resort and we loved our stay there. The pools are great and the staff are very friendly.
The spa is good and the a la carte options are great.
Enough beach beds and pool beds. Even after 10am you can still find empty beach beds and they serve food and drinks at the beach.
Also buggy service to go to various properties and easy access to various shows and activities.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic Vacation
We had a great time, the rooms were lovely and well maintained, jacuzzi tub awesome
The staff at the kids club were so great, my son kept wanting to go back. Jean particular was caring, firm and outstanding with them all.
The waterpark OVER the top great. lifeguards were on point and always alert.
Entertainment was fun, well put together and executed
The spa way too overpriced, they need to come in line with the rest of the world.
The beach was not a highlight as there was too much seaweed [... read more]but they were continuously working on removal as best as they could.
Buffet was great food, lots of variety and never empty of food they continuously were on top of replenishing it all.
I would have liked to see poolside service, with children its hard to go and get a drink as the bar was at the far end. all staff were helpful and friendly.
A nice touch that the hotel did was put on all the soccer games on the big screen in the theater, Served food and drinks during that time as well.
We will be back, already planning.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Incredible time at the Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado
We were there at the end of June... off season for us Canadians, but lots of international guests, which was lovely to come across and meet. This was truly a luxury resort. The smiles by all the staff were genuine. They seemed to anticipate our needs even before we did. For example, we were out for the day on an excursion to the El Limon Waterfall and we ran into our butler when we got off the ferry on the mainland and told her what we were up to. When we returned from our excursion, there [... read more]was a Jacuzzi tub filled with bubbles and rose petals awaiting our horseback riding bodies... we did not request this, but were so grateful to have it there to receive us.
The grounds are immaculate, and there is an abundance of nature to see everywhere. Whatever your need, someone was there to meet or fulfill it. And it was always their "pleasure" to do so. The nightly entertainment was not incredible (but I will say they tried their best-- and these folks were the same activity people all day on the beach that put on the performances, talk about stamina!!!), but we weren't there for that, and would stroll to the beach for a night-time sound therapy session with the waves.
Be sure to ask for Martin's Special drink if he is at the Beach Bar! So delicious and made everyone smile.
I would go back, the beach was lovely, the grounds big enough to walk substantially throughout if you chose to not take the trolleys, the gym was lovely, the food incredible everywhere we went... although we do recommend you order from the wine list if you are at the a la cartes.
Happy to have went and would love to go back again for sure.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: A must stay! I
Wonderful people and services. Food is out of this world. The trolly ride to the beach is quick and easy. We are taking the family back next year. Loved the idea of having everything at your finger tips
Our room was quite spacious and clean. I like the idea of having small units scattered throughout the grounds. The grounds are kept scrupulously clean and are a pleasure to walk through - or take a cart caravan if one is too tired to do the walk. The specialty restaurants were okay in the Coba area, but our favourite was the Tortuga Rodizio Brazilian restaurant in the Tulum portion of the resort. The buffet restaurant in the Coba portion was outstanding. This was our second time here and on[... read more]e of the reasons that we returned was the buffet - the waiters work very hard to keep up with the crush of people. Even with a full resort, the food was fresh, plentiful, varied and very tasty. How they manage to keep up, I'll never know. All the bartenders that we dealt with were quite friendly with some speaking English better than others. It's an international resort with many languages from Europe heard along with the Spanish, English and French from our North American countries. The beach is a short cart ride away, but it wasn't very walkable at this time of year because of the seaweed that was being brought to shore by the waves. The workers had it cleaned up one day, then two days later, the shore was filled again. But that is just this time of year, during our last visit in October the beaches were pristine. I would stay here again in a heartbeat since we feel very at home here, although next time I would choose the adult portion of the resort.
My husband and I stayed at this resort from June 23rd to June 30th, 2018.
It was an amazing trip!!
I booked my trip with O’neil Graham @ tripcentral I was kind of hesitant I was looking at two options but with the advice I got from him trust me he was a 100% correct that I would love it!!!
Im a fussy person but trust me I had no complaints.
It’s a big village!!! There’s seven resorts and you have access to five!
It’s a 5 star hotel the ambiance is beautiful, very clean, the room is [... read more]very spacious, the air conditioner works and we had no problems with the water pressure.
The hotel staff are very courteous and professional.
The buffet was delicious everyday there was a wide variety
of food and had a different theme example: Americana, Italian, Dominican etc.
The 24 hour snack bar had fresh food prepared throughout the night.
I didn’t try the a la cartes.
The evening shows were great.
The pools were clean.
The beach is a 2-3 minute trolley ride.
Marlene the beach waitress was fantastic she always had our glasses topped up and knew what we wanted,
Unfortunately two things that was uncontrollable due to Mother Nature.
1. It had a lot of seaweeds when I got there but they kept cleaning the beach all day before I left there were no more seaweeds left in the water,
2. It had a lot of mosquitoes every night the OFF spray and after BITE didn’t help.
This was my second trip to DR and the first time staying at this hotel.
I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!!
I’m ready to go back!!!!

Cayo Levantado Resort: Overrated
Under the expectation compared with other cheaper Luxury Bahia Principe!
I did not expect the Superior room to be in an attic! We finally paid to upgrade the room but lost half a day of beach.
Lack of food diversity compared to other Luxury Bahia Principe (beach buffet did not offer steak at lunch).

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Disappointed
Beautiful hotel, however staff is unprofessional, rude to customers in dining facilities. Dining area outdated lack restrooms facilities, guests have to leave dining area to go outside to use restroom. Dining area too hot, no ventilation, A/C or fans. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Beautiful
I thought the place was beautiful. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There was a large variety of food for us to choose from. Loved the entertainment offered.
The few things I didn’t like was our room didn’t get cleaned until 2pm on most days, at one of the restaurants you had to wear pants or you couldn’t go in, the pool closed at 8pm.

Everything was great! Staff was super friendly and helpful at all times. Hotel grounds were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. As clean as I could imagine a resort being. Food was great, although struggled a bit to find options that were dairy free.. the chefs were very willing to prepare options that were suitable to dietary needs!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Best Vacation Ever!!!
I took my daughter and my granddaughter on vacation to the Grand Bahia Prinicipe in Runaway Bay, Jamaica and we had the time of our lives! Or was my daughter's first time in Jamaica and she is already planning her next visit.
The people are amazing. The staff at the resort were extremely polite and eager to please the guests, very professional at all times. Any questions or requests we had were met with in the most important and easygoing manner. We just love the people!
The resort [... read more]itself is beautiful. We spent most of our time at the pool where my granddaughter made friends with several other children from all over the world. The grounds were well manicured. The pool was constantly being maintained. The food was plentiful and there was always a vast selection to choose from at the buffet.
The beach is sectioned off and each section is on the smaller side but overall the beach offered lots of white sand and the most beautiful sunsets! The waterpark is closer to the largest section of beach and is quite large wiith lots of slides of various sizes to play on.
My granddaughter said the next time we go to jamaica she wants to go back to the Grand Bahia Principe.
