Hotel Camino del Mar: Beautiful resort!
My boyfriend and I booked a spontaneous four night getaway to melia Cayo Guillermo. I’m not sure why- but I had very low expectations for this resort. I’d been to Cuba several times before, always saying I won’t go back because of the food. But the prices always suck me in- much cheaper than other islands. Anyway- upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised! The resort itself is beautiful! Even more beautiful than the pictures I had seen online. We had a great bungalow room, with a hamm [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Awesome resort!
I loved everything this resort had to offer. The room was clean and well maintained, the food was good and always available, the beach is amazing, the pools were great. The staff are always smiling and ready to serve you. We are going back next year! See you then😎
Melia Marina Varadero: Melia Marina Varadero
Unfortunately we were highly disappointed with out hotel experience the first night we had to change rooms since our washroom was covered with ants, two days later we had to change room again because the bathtub was leaking and we had water coming from the washroom to the rest of the room, a day later we had to change again since we had red ants in the room. Every time we called the from desk they couldn't do nothing to assist other than spray ray all over are room and belongings they had [... read more]
Sol Cayo Coco: Went 3 times there and going back!!
I went there a few times with family and friends, and I was happy to go back! The staff members are amazing and they remember us, that is pretty cool! :) Beach is amazing, staff is great, food is alright, cleanliness is amazing, music and night life is great, will definitively go back next year with a group of friends.
Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful Beach
Hotel met all our expectations, beach was stunning, resort was spotless, rooms were clean but could use some updating. Food was good above our expectations from what we had heard about Cuba. Staff very friendly. Was an excellent relaxing vacation.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: A solid B
Overall a great stay: The beach is gorgeous (a strong riptide), the pool area is very nice and the people friendly. The rooms are rundown and the food is clearly from frozen or canned though. Solid B.
Melia Marina Varadero: Good Resort
The hotel needs a lot of maintenance - - very small issues that could easily be resolved are just left unattended. Broken door handles, paint chipping, bulbs missing, shower heads need cleaning, water pressure very low. When asked to address issues in our room, they were dealt with immediately, promptly and certainly to our satisfaction, but we should not have to ask to have these issues corrected, they should be done routinely to avoid any problems for the visitors.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Awesome Time
This was a great vacation. The food was good and the people were very nice. The pools were always clean and the staff were always helpful. The beach was amazing it was a clear blue and you could walk out and and it didn't get deep. The only bad thing is I didn't really like some of there mixed drinks. The nightly shows were great and different from anything I've ever seen. I would recommend this Hotel.
Paradisus Varadero: Nice resort
While I don't think it's a five star resort or one of Paradisus best resorts we had a nice time. We stayed on the family concierge side and glad we did. The majority of the staff are so nice, some of them could use some work . I gave Melia a comment card and they responded right away. We did not have any major issues other than some fine tuning they could do. The best restaurant was Bana - the others were just "ok". You certainly won't go hungry but I wouldn't rave. The beach servers and the sta [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Buyer beware!
This is a huge hotel so if you have mobility issues this resort is NOT for you. Hotel staff are not the friendliest, which I know is odd for Cuba. The beach is beautiful but have limited blue beach chairs on the beach. These. chairs would be gone before 6:00 AM
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Staff were amazing
Overall resort was very nice considering the hurricane and what they went through. Rooms are a little dated but kept very clean. No consistency when it came to fresh towels - one day yes one day no. Mattresses need to be replaced as feeling springs in them when sleeping. The staff were fantastic and pampered us in every way - always wanted to ensure we were looked after and always did it with a smile. Became close with our dining room wait staff and would love to have brought them home with [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: highly recommend
We have been to Cuba many times and this is the best resort we have been too. The food was exceptional and it we looked forward to eating at the buffet everyday, every meal. International Al la cart was so good we went twice in one week :) . Pros. fantastic food; exceptional customer service (two minor issues with room, were fixed immediately); Room was spotless; friendly staff; immaculately clean (public washrooms were cleaner than canadas, always hand soap, paper towel and toilet paper); sma [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Very Nice Resort & Great Entertainment
Feb 21 to Mar 3 2018 Our stay was great!!! Amazing how well everything was put back together after Hurricane Irma back in September of 2017. 20mins from the airport was really convenient. The Beach was amazing! Beautiful White sands with Serene Tranquil waters. Great sailing, kayaking and Snorkeling. The Entertainment was Excellent! The pools were large and not over crowed. Surprising for a large resort. Only complaints was the beds in our room were small and uncomfortable an [... read more]
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Would Not Change Anything!!!
First I would like to thank Teresa Gates at tripcentral for being very professional and recommending the perfect resort for me and my fiancé. This was not my first time to Cuba and like always the Cuban people were very inviting. From the day that booked our trip over the phone with Teresa, till the day we landed back in Canada after our trip EVERYTHING ran smoothly. Checking Into the hotel was made very simple, our room was extremely clean, ride to the resort from air port was on a nice comfor [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: First Time at Melia Cayo Coco
Fantastic friendly staff, great beach and the food was good too. Resort is super close to the airport, only about a 15 min bus ride so we were on the beach in no time once we arrived in Cuba. A BIG shout out to Charles the egg and pasta guy at the buffet, you could totally tell he took a lot of pride in what he makes. Real nice guy. Will totally return for another stay.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Awesome couples resort
Arrived only a few short months after the big hurricane. Very surprised at how quickly they have recovered from that major disaster. The daily entertainment was well beyond expectation. There is ample types of food that most would be able to find something enjoyable - except french fries. No french fries anywhere during the entire week. But more tequila & rum then any university gang could handle . . . Excellent expresso everywhere.
Melia Varadero: Middle of the Road
Food was not good, even the pineapples were not ripe. Beds were of poor quality. On the up side there did not appear to be any bugs in the room. With regards to service, it depended on the attitude of the particular server you got. I would choose another hotel if I was to return to Cuba
Melia Jardines del Rey: Sub standard!!
Grounds, room, pools and beach really nice, food was unedible, awful, cold, same every night, staff not very friendly... ridiculous issues with getting a confortable chair at beach.... people were putting towels on them in the middle of night, I got there one morning at 530 am... and still couldn't get one.... hard plastic chairs that will kill your back, one bartender at beach bar, line up down the beach to get a drink.. crazy for 2000. People, 3 bartenders at swim up bar in pool and no one the [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing resort, amazing staff
My wife and I just returned from a 10 night stay at this beautiful resort. We have gone to many resorts all over the Caribbean and can say that this resort was one of the best we have ever experienced.Beach is beautiful,Food in buffet was great always fresh....Charles the omelette guy is awesome..This was our first visit here but we now understand why people keep coming back....if your looking for quiet and relaxation this is the place for you!
Sol Cayo Coco: Very nice resort on a budget
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good food, foam party, ok entertainment, beautiful beach. Excellent resort and vacation for the price. If you want high end drinks and food you may want to look elsewhere, but if you are not fussy with local drinks, grilled food, wood oven pizza and pasta station then this is the perfect place.
