Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: super resort:

It was wonderful trip experience, so closed to the beach, just 2 mins from my room, lots of drinks available with very good service bartenders, lots of foods at the buffet sections, so many tropical fruits coming out of my dreams, the chefs were very nice & singing songs as they were cooking up my foods. There were 4 different restaurants to choose for a romance dinner in the evening. After the diners, one can go to the bar to get more drinks, then there were shows every night. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Staff were just fantastic

I was first impressed by the lobby. It is open an inviting. The couch cushions in the lobby need to be replaced. The staff at the front desk were accommodating and friendly. I got locked out twice at night, once they couldn't get me in so they gave me another room for the night. The rooms were nice and clean. The beds could be updated but I did sleep well. The swim-up bar was fun to hang out at. The pool was lovely. The sand is powdery white and the ocean shades of clear turquoise. We grabbed be [... read more]er from the on site store and went out on the pier and enjoyed some quiet time out there. The food was great, yes its not Canadian style, its Cuban style but still good. There was always a great selection. The grounds were well maintained and it was nice to see regular maintenance being kept up. The only drawback this place had was there was no little town nearby to go and investigate. Once on the resort you were kinda limited to excursions. This place is great and we will go back again.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Lovely resort with outstanding staff!

It’s new and modern. Sure there are hiccups to work through as it is newer but we still had an amazing time. All staff were amazing. Very friendly, pleasant, professional, and attentive. Food was good to very good anywhere we ate. The buffet (although minimal selection) was good (the fresh doughnuts at breakfast were amazing); the a la cartes were really very good. My only concern is it is not a huge buffet so I have to wonder what it would be like in high season when it is much busier. W [... read more]e were there in off season so it was easy to find a seat and grab a bite. The snack bar by the pool had very good food (the ice cream was so good) with great service and a bar. The beach snack bar wasn’t open due to it being off season. There is a new beach grill under construction directly on the beach next to the beach bar. Beach is awesome! Huge with lots of palapas and chairs. There is some seaweed on the shoreline and in the water but it was never enough to ruin our time in the ocean. Although fighting a losing battle, staff work extremely hard daily cleaning it up. Rooms are modern, very clean and comfortable. AC worked great but the ceiling fan was all we needed to keep us cool at night. The bathrooms have a large rainfall shower with plenty of hot water (no tubs). Our room (4209) had an ocean and garden/kids pool view. My friend’s room across the hall from us had pool view and ocean view with fantastic sunrises (4210). The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The vegetation is young and still maturing due to the newness of the resort. Groundskeepers continue to transplant new plants throughout. Pools were great. We loved the infinity pool which had the swim up bar (amazing staff!). There were games and activities each day that were so much fun. Again, we were there in off season so it was always easy to find a lounger. However, although they were attractive I would prefer the standard blue loungers. Now a shout out to some of the amazing staff we interacted with. Firstly, Roxana in the Cigar Bar. She was the best. So adorable, pleasant, knowledgeable and very professional. We went there each night to enjoy chats with her and drinks. Some (but not limited to) other fantastic staff were Yasmany; Oscar, Dan and Higteaandreo (pool bar); Jose, Leandreo and Leslie (lobby bar); and Victor and Juan (beach bar). All the entertainment staff were awesome. Any of the front desk staff we dealt with were always happy and helpful. And Hector, the manager, was often visible around the whole resort, very friendly and approachable. My minor complaints about the resort are: (1) The public washrooms - many of the wall mount flushers were broken so you couldn't flush. (2) There is minimal shade at the pools with only a few umbrellas and some of them very torn. (3) The walkways at night are dimly lit.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful laid out Resort

Grounds were imaculate and well maintained. Beach was kept clean of natural and man made clutter. Loungers all in good conditioand clean. Staff and gardeners very polite and genuinly interested in your wellbeing. Down fall was the house wine as it was horrendous.... you could buy international wines but they were priced higher than at home. Mixed drinks and cocktails were hit and miss for mix and consistancy. Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great Hotel with amazing staff

Great place for a family vacation. The staff was fantastic, the twins ( organizers of the pool side games ) made the whole trip worth while. They really took there time to get to know people. But all in all everyone there was great !!! Looking forward to a return trip.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Small but mighty

I was very impressed with the overall quality.of the Iberostar Daquari. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff were friendly, food was really good, fairly quick lines ups at the buffet and bars. I could go on and on. There is a reason why they get repeat visitors.

Hotel Vigia: Never Disapointed!

This is my 4th time a Sol Cayo Guilermo, and once again I enjoyed my stay there. A smaller resort, with a staff that is friendly, and helpful. The room was cleaned and cared for early each morning, . We enjoyed our meals at the buffet and specialty dining room where the servers and cooks were always looking after us. There were many choices of food. We enjoyed the nightly shows, and music in the lobby. You can't beat the beach, and pool is always refreshing. Hopefully, I'll be able to go  [... read more]back again sometime soon.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Great resort

The resort was lovely and the people were even better. The food was not so great, typical of Cuba. The pool could have been vacuumed as there were crabs and cigarette butts on the bottom. I can’t say enough about the staff. My son made friends with one of the bartenders and when we left she gave him a gift. So sweet!

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: November vaca

The hotel itself is really run down but with that said our room was clean and over in the quiet part of the resort! We loved that we had our own pool! The food was ok, it’s cuba so don’t think your going to have 5 star quality food but you won’t go hungry. The staff was for the most part very nice with exception of the girl bartender in the lobby! We paid $875 for 2 weeks, for that price I would go back again! I would never pay more then that to go there again! I love Cuba!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great week (Nov 4th to 11th)!

Good hotel, decent buffet food, very tasty specialized restaurants, great pizza by the beach, great staff all around, clean rooms, great weather, ...and most importantly: beautiful beaches! Probably wouldn't hurt for Pestana Group to reinvest some money into infrastructure and some customer service to make this resort stand-out from others...it's sometimes the little "annoying" things that are a nuance, but I won't get into all the details... Word of caution to Cuban Hotel Managers, etique [... read more]tte classes to locals visiting resorts would go a long way!! (it seemed to be more popular for locals on wknds). Cuban people should definitely take advantage of what their beautiful country has to offer but need to get accustomed to being exposed to so variety...their behaviour, especially at Buffet restaurant is very unfortunate! And, in a very ironic way, locals seemed to be less worried about cleaning up after themselves... Overall, recommend and would revisit the Pestana Cayo Coco!

Hotel Vigia: Fantastic staff

Sol Cayo Guillermo is a favorite resort of ours because of the staff, beach and size. Unfortunately the hotel was not very busy and with reduced numbers the hotel has to manage costs by closing amenities. The Ranchon beach restaurant was closed for our entire week. This restaurant was our favorite lunch place, best food actually, when we were there in February. The buffet was limited to different kinds of eggs at breakfast, but had a good cheese selection. We had lunch at the grill next to  [... read more]the beach bar, good offerings there, especially the rice. Dinner was fantastic at the a la carte..the best we've ever had in Cuba! The buffet was tired and while there were some different meat and vegetable options was ok. You never went hungry. Our room was one that had a new mattress and paint job. They are always clean and tidy, but the furniture needs to be updated, nit just painted. Safety deposit boxes available at 2CUC per day. Lots of sun beds and palapas at the beach. Again, the staff can't do enough for you, they are the single factor we return.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful beach, but we won't go back to this hotel.

The first thing that bugged us about this trip was that our direct flight to Cayo Coco was changed into one going via Santa Clara. It made our flight almost 2 hours longer. The hotel itself is well kept. The grounds are beautiful. The beach is truly amazing. Maid service was great and the room was always clean with plenty of towels. The water temp in the shower was always cold (colder than ocean water) but since it was always more than 31*C during the day it wasn't that big of a deal. The food w [... read more]asn't great but you can always find something. It's Cuba and we weren't expecting 5 star dinning. Overall a relaxing vacation but I doubt we will go back to this particular resourt.

Hotel Playa Coco: Great Resort for the price

Great, good rooms good view clean, good food staff friendly, seafood restaurant needs work slow service and cold food. We really missed the old beach restaurant was really authentic to cuba. Went on catamaran trip it was excellent.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing girls trip at Memories Caribe Cayo Coco

This was a very nice mid-sized Resort. The grounds were beautiful and the beach was so amazing - lots of palapas and palm trees. Transfers and check in were very quick. The staff at the resort truly made this a memorable experience. The service was excellent. They were very friendly and always respectful. The food was not fancy, but the fresh made meat and fish were very good. The pizza at the beach was very good. The Mediterranean a la Carte was very good. The drinks were delicious and [... read more] always plentiful. The room was simple but had everything we needed. We would definitely return.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: I'm confused how this resort has 3 stars

200 words is not long enough for me to review this terrible resort. I'll point form it. -the food is terrible. nothing is warm, they are always out of food. if you show up 10 minutes after the buffet opens they are already all out of chicken and eggs. (happened on two different lunch times) -staff is rude. and pushy a server kept asking my husband for his cologne before we left on our last day. he asked my husband so many times he felt uncomfortable staying at the bar. and we walked around unt [... read more]il we left. They also are mad if you don't tip them, I didn't have money at the swim up bar and when I went twice to get a beer he sighed or just completely ignored me. -someone pooped in the pool, and they just scooped it out didn't inform any guests and went on with they're day. -everything felt dirty or was broken. I could go on and on and would be happy too if needed.

Melia Costa Rey: Relaxing resort

The hotel was |fine the grounds were immaculate,l lack of entertainment during the day. A great place to just relax and escape the AL le carts were fantastic especially the gourmet and the French. The buffet was very laim it seemed like lunch and dinner were always the seem.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Super Staff

The resort was clean, the grounds were clean, the staff were the friendliness people I’ve ever met. The beach and pools were warm, drinks were cold very generous. We plan on returning again, for the price I don’t think it can be matched.

Sol Cayo Coco: What a great vacation

This was my first stay at this hotel and Cayo Coco. I was traveling alone and last minute so i thought i would try this resort. I checked a few mixed reviews and booked it. The pros: the beach and the entire grounds are very clean. I had dinner in both restaurants and the meals were great. The cuban rum bar had authentic cuban cocktails and had a great view of the lobby and shows. The coffee was awesome and the area was kept cool with fans and they always had staff waiting to serve you. M [... read more]ost times when ordered coffee or drinks from the coffee or pool bar they would say " Sit down i will bring it to you" The cons: Of course there could be more variety at the buffet but you know how it is. They didnt always have lots of choices but i survived to write this brief review. I like wi fi in my room and it wa only available for a c.u.p per hour. Beach bar drinks need some work. Limited drinks and stale pop. They need mojitos and a blender.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Fantastic Trip

This was our 18th trip to Cuba and like the first 17... it was amazing! Rooms were comfortable and clean, food was decent (you certainly won't starve), the beach is amazing (although the tide brought in some seaweed on the first 2 days but no one can help that except mother nature), pool was clean and enjoyable... We went oct 26-Nov 4... this time of year brings out the mosquitos so bring bug repellent (with deet). The mosquitos were only bad in the evening and there were no sand fleas that bothered us so it was manageable. The internet in the lobby worked amazing - best connection and speed of any resort we've visited. This made it nice to be able to speak to my family at home in the evenings while enjoying the entertainment in the lobby. All in all.... we were very happy and we will definitely be going back!!
