Hotel Camino del Mar: BEST BEACH
We just returned from 1 week at Melia Cayo Guillermo. Beach was absolutely beautiful, you could have along walk in either direction. Hotel room clean , but dated. Pool small. We enjoyed the food, could always find a clean table. Drinks were just okay. Service was very good. Activities in daytime was very good. Entertainment not so great , just okay . We would return.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Do not consider this hotel to be 5Star, at best 3Star. I much preferred Paradisus Varadero!
The grounds were quite attractive but poolside was over-crowded and seating difficult to get as most areas were "towelled" by 8.00am every morning!. Main restaurant (buffet) was good only for breakfast and even then quality left a lot to be desired. Special restaurants were better but not great. The beach area was excellent with good service. Room was comfortable and clean as was the well-stocked bathroom. However the furnishings are "very tired" and showing a lot of wear and tear.
Melia Cayo Coco: Melia in March
The resort was very nice - very clean and the staff were friendly. A little more information from the desk staff regarding the restaurants and facilities would have been good. The food was better than we expected however the coffee and wine were not great. The ala carte restaurant experiences were excellent! Very quiet and relaxing...just what we were hoping for.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great Resort!
Friendly and helpful staff, beautifully landscaped grounds. Food was great. No oil smell in buffet like at many resorts. Lots of lounge chairs at beach and pool considering the number of people staying there and service was quick at restaurants and bars. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well maintained.
Melia Las Dunas: Another Unforgettable Time in Cayo Santa Maria
Beautiful layout. Lobby opens up to the beach in the background. Main lobby was always so lively and the Beer Gardens made the trip. Cold beer bottles and food at any time was incredible, especially with the lovely service of Hassan and Juan Carlos. Also the service of Alia, Kiri and Andry at the Family Pool swim-up bar. They love their jobs and love their people and I’d recommend this place to anyone. Cheers Melia Las Dunas!
Hotel Camino del Mar: Perfect beach!
This resort was exactly what we were looking for. Having visited Cuba a few times before, we knew what to expect food wise, but everything was very edible. Had breakfast at the pool bar everyday and lunch at the beach bar where they grill fresh fish. The beach was very spacious with lots of chairs available. The water was clear and the sand was powder soft! Cuba has the greatest beaches! We really enjoyed our stay at this resort our only issue was the consistency with beverages. We drank m [... read more]
Melia Las Americas: Excellent resort!
Had a wonderful time at this resort. The main things we loved: amount of shade and not fighting for beach chairs, the close proximity to the airport and Varadero, friendly staff and an amazing golf course! We didn't love the food, but it was definitely better than most resorts we've visited in Cuba. We also wished there was more of a lively scene after 11pm, as we were a younger couple. Overall, it was a great experience!
Melia Jardines del Rey: I WILL BE RETURNING :D
Clean. Friendly staff. Amazing beach. Good food. I have recommended this escort to close friends and family. As I said I WILL be returning winter 2019. I thank the staff for everything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Good value resort
We enjoyed our stay here. It was a bit dated but so clean with 2 great pools(one lively, one very quiet) and lovely beach. Staff friendly and accommodating. One of best selections of food on buffet, especially varieties of fish! Two very good beach restaurants for lunch and best 24 hour snack bar ever. Animating team lively and encouraging. Entertaining musical groups, singers, in patio area, Various vendors every day selling crafts etc. Hotel itself offered short daily excursions, something ne [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: Worst Hotel In Cuba
Let me start with the good things about this hotel since its not so many. Please take a note that this is my 8th times in Cuba so I knew what to expect. .Like usual employees in general were very nice and trying to help(Cubans are always nice) Dancers were working hard for the shows at night Hotel was clean even if its very old. Pool side was nice and that's it.That's the only good things. Problem areas Lets start with the food. Of course you are gonna say its Cuba but I paid way less mone [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Loved everything about our Vacation :)
Our first trip to Cuba, and it has surpassed our expectations. My husband and daughter would agree as well. Beach was the most beautiful one we had ever seen, we enjoyed long walks looking and the seashells. Always chairs at the pool or beach. we were a group of 7 and never had any problems. Food was good too, we enjoyed the pasta & stirfry stations at the buffet & the Snack bar by the pool. we had a nice relaxing vacation, exactly what we were looking for and MORE!!
Melia Cayo Coco: The perfect getaway
From the minute we arrived until our departure. The hospitality at Melia was impeccable! Fantastic staff, warm, caring, attentive, engaging and made our experience very memorable. Shout out to the staff. Leonardo, Livan, Eddy, Beatriz, Omar, Adonys, Celia, Charles "The Omelette King", Arismandy, Sonia... And all the other behind the scenes that contributed in making this resort as awesome as it is. Food was the best I had in Cuba. Everything in the buffet was good to great! Rooms were clean. Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Very Pleased with Resort Overall
First time in Cuba and was pleasantly surprised with our hotel, the beach/pools, the service and the food. We have vacationed many times in Mexico and have found the food wonderful at the all-inclusives there, so we were hesitant to try Cuba with all the reviews complaining about food. The beef in Cuba and in Mexico is not the same as home so we chose to eat seafood, chicken and pork instead. I was worried about lack of fresh vegetables and fruit as those are my favorites. It was plentiful so [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Amazing
This was my first time staying at this particular resort although I have been to Varadero many times What I liked best was its proximity to the town of Varadero Just a twenty minute walk away also for the car enthusiast there was plenty of antique cars to admire without having to go to Havana The resort was spread out it didn't seem crowded and the food was the best I've tasted in Cuba
Melia Las Dunas: Best resort I've been to in Cuba so far!!
Hard to find anything bad with this amazing resort at all! The rooms are more then comfortable, stocked and cleaned everyday. The staff were amazing and lobby and sports bar were my favorite part, but was an amazing resort for couples or entire families. Great food and non stop entertainment! Can't wait to go back!!!!!!!!!
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: love this resort so much
love the resort have been there many many times. Love the staff they are the best, no complaints at all, cannot wait to go back, beautiful beach, good food, large clean rooms, lots of entertainment, can't say enough about the beautiful Cuban peoplexoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Beautiful beach
First time in Cuba. The resort was compact, easy and quick to move from one venue to another, such as the foyer, bank, pool, restaurants, bars and beach. Lots of things to do. Yoga on the beach, ecological tour just off the resort, windsurfing, paddle boats, kayaks , entertainment every evening, off resort tours available and local crafts available for purchase on the resort.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Go somewhere else
I knew going to Cuba I would have to lower my expectations and be did. As pilot I traveled much of America’s the Caribbean and Europe. I never had to wait till 6 pm to get my room. I felt I was rationed throughout my stay. Like not being able to change beach towels for days they were either out or saying comeback later we are doing laundry. The linens were worn out with holes and the towels in the room were see trough with fringes like the ones in your garage. The food was just ok, but some ho [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Truly Paradise.
My boyfriend and I came to this resort in hopes of escaping the reality of the crazy Toronto life and to relax for a week. It was the greatest week of our lives. Thank you for making this so special. We will absolutely be returning in the near future.
