Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Service at Royalton Negril: Disappointing in Some Areas

My stay at Royalton Negril was a mixed experience. While the resort itself is beautiful and some staff members are genuinely friendly and helpful, service inconsistencies and maintenance issues made the trip less enjoyable than expected. One of the biggest disappointments was the condition of the room. The shower was broken, and even when it worked, the water pressure was extremely low, making it frustrating to use. For a resort that markets itself as luxury, these types of basic issues shouldn’t be happening. Another downside was the service, which was slow and, at times, lacking altogether. Restaurants had long wait times, and drinks at the bar often took much longer than expected. While some staff members were great, a few were outright rude, which put a damper on the experience. That said, most employees were friendly, but they seemed overwhelmed, likely due to staffing shortages. The resort has potential, and the beach and pools are fantastic, but the combination of room maintenance issues, slow service, and occasional rude interactions made it hard to fully relax and enjoy the trip. If management focused more on staff training and resort upkeep, it could be a much better experience. Until then, I’d only recommend it to those who are patient and willing to overlook some major service flaws.

Royalton Blue Waters: Beautiful resort overall

My family and I had a great stay overall. The resort grounds are so beautiful and cleaned so well. The room layout is one of the best I’ve seen. Every room gets a water view. The food was good but not great. The drinks were awesome and a ton of variety! The restaurants are almost impossible to book and we had a horrible experience at the steak house where we waited over 90 minutes for our food only to come out so bad we couldn’t eat it. The resort workers for the most part are very pleasant but a few workers especially bartenders clearly did not want to be there and were miserable and difficult to interact with. They ruin it for the really hard workers. We did find the entertainment to be not that great especially during the day. Mind you, we were not in the hideaway so perhaps better entertainment there. Overall, we were pleased and enjoyed the impeccable views and gorgeous resort. I would give it 3.7/5 stars overall!

Riu Palace Jamaica: Great place!

Pool bar Winston rocked! The entire entertainment crew blue (genius) red (String bean, Brittney, bubbles to name a few awesome!). All staff are amazing! Food is awesome! Had an amazing time! Meet lots of new friends! First time at a Rui and will for sure return!

Ocean Coral Spring: Beautiful resort!

This resort was absolutely beautiful! Great staff, food, waterpark was so great! It was super clean! The room we were in was super nice and had a joining room which was perfect! I would definitely go back here! The beach is abit rocky but still nice!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: OK resort

I love resort and facilities, however, we wanted room to have view to the sea. Receptionist told me that we were already upgrade to a better, bigger room. Which I believed it was true. This room had no a bad view, but we faced other problems we didn’t expected to find on our vacation. First, room had a door to communicate with another room and noise coming from guests in that room was not pleasant, specially at 1:00 to 3:00 am. Not knowing policies about noise in those premises I didn’t file a c [... read more]omplaint. Those guests left 3 days later after our arrival and situation vbecame bearable. Second and also annoying situation was bathroom with leaking situation which affected walls and water all over the place after taking a shower. We notice a repair next day for which I didn’t file a complaint, however I realized they were patches to fix leaking problem because next shower we would experience the same thing which even ruin walls repair to become messy again. Staff, food, beach and swimming pool were beyond expectations, the only big issue was the bathroom leaking and after arriving back home, we noticed some of our clothing being affected by wall repair, leaving dust and paint on some garments.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: March break trip!

The Hotel was a nice surprise! We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon after a seamless bus ride in an air conditioned bus. My daughter was so excited when she saw the grandeur of the place. We were greeted with warm and friendly staff and excellent service to get us to our beautiful suite. For our first trip to the Caribbean together, this was exactly what we needed. Ocean Coral Spring: Great resort staff were amazing

The hotel was very good. Food was quite good except for the Italian restaurant. The rooms were clean and the air conditioner worked well. The beach is not great. The pool is big and has a lot of chairs but you need to get up very, very early to reserve your spot.

Ocean Eden Bay: Beautiful Resort with One Drawback

I had a fantastic stay at Ocean Eden Bay. The resort’s modern and clean rooms, well maintained grounds, and friendly staff made for a wonderful experience. Plus, the weather was perfect! The food was excellent, and as someone with celiac disease, I really appreciated the gluten-free options available at every restaurant, including the buffet. Unlike other large resorts where getting to the beach or a restaurant can take ages, everything here was within a quick 6-7 minute walk, which was a huge plus. The lazy river was also a fun activity, especially in the late afternoon when it was mostly adults. However, my biggest complaint was the shortage of pool and beach chairs. Since I was on vacation, it would have been nice to sleep in until 8:30 or 9 a.m., but by then, every chair was already taken. I spoke with a woman who said she went to the beach at 5:45 a.m., only to find that every chair had been "reserved" with towels. At the pool, a group of five women had taken ten chairs. They offered us one and proceeded to tell us they were saving the chairs for their husbands—who were off golfing for the entire day. This made it nearly impossible to fully relax, as we were constantly on the lookout for available chairs. Even when we did find one, I worried that our belongings might be moved while we were in the water. The resort truly needs to address this issue, as many guests were frustrated by it. Unfortunately, this would be the only reason I might hesitate to return. Otherwise, everything else was absolutely lovely!

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Amazing Views

The hotel staff were friendly and always cleaning and working to maintain grounds and building. The buffet should offer more child friendly food for dinner as it is a family resort. The entertainment and resort recreational staff were a lot of fun and motivating to join in on trivia aerobics bingo reggae dancing

Riu Negril: Great time at Riu Negril

Rooms were newly renovated. Buffet was great! A la carte restaurants were ok. Staff were friendly. Especially O'Neil and Ruen at the lobby bar. Beach nice and grounds very well kept. We're able to walk quite a distance on beach.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: fantastic resort for all ages!

Overall, loved the hotel. Staff are incredible, helpful and friendly. One even remembered me from a year and a half ago. There is something to do for all ages and the kids club and kids area is fantastic. The beach is beautiful with white sand and clear blue shallow water. Some of the rooms are a little tired but I imagine there will be some updating going on soon. Good variety of restaurants and overall the food is really good. You know you are at a great place when the first thing peopl [... read more]e ask you is how many times you have been there. Record we got was 13 years and running ! Highly recommend.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Good Vibe Resort

We absolutely loved our stay at the resort. The staff were always very friendly and happy. We normally stay at the beach more than the pool but the entertainment was always a lot of fun and the bartenders were great. The food was absolutely delicious and the selection was great. We were surprised at the security for when you walked the beach you are definately looked after. If I had to suggest one little improvement it would be there needs to be more than one coffee bar.

Ocean Eden Bay: Amazing resort

Loved everything about this hotel. Food was amazing. Staff were incredible. Beach and views were wow. Do not read the negative reviews and go. I will definitely be returning in the near future.Can not wait!!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Fabulous Resort

We recently had a 10 day stay at the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton resort. The staff were all very helpful and were more than willing to accommodate any of our needs. Joseph Myrie met us on our arrival and when we reached out to him to make all our ala carte dinner reservations, he looked after the reservations and sent me the confirmations. The buffets were all terrific with a variety of food. We went with our son, daughter-in-law and two young grandsons and all staff were super friendly. We en [... read more]joyed the Sunset Cove beach very much. The entertainment in the theatre was fantastic. The only downside was that the music was too loud that it drowned out the singing.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Awesome holiday

First time in Jamaica and we had a wonderful time. Our swim up pool room was in the perfect location so as not to miss any fun. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. The selection of restaurants and food was amazing. There were lots of opportunities to participate in the daily activities such as contests, dance lessons, foam pool parties. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: A nice little getaway

We were surprised with a large room & huge balcony with an ocean view, which is not what we paid for, so pretty sweet! Multiple beaches to choose from with decent chair availability. Harder to get chairs around the main pool since it was the only pool where the bar/swimup bar was open. The other pool bar was kept closed, so you had to walk much further for your drinks. Not a huge deal, just inconvenient. Now, the only real issue we had, was with the privileged areas. They were always empty, both [... read more] around the pools and beaches, and they had their own bars with bartenders. You couldn't sit there or order drinks there because you didn't have the right wristbands. Which sucked because there were no privileged guest around to even take advantage of them. So the staff had to stand around all day, shoo away those who weren't privileged, and barely have anyone to serve. And it was very hot around the pool. I felt bad for them. Some of them looked miserable just sitting or standing around. I can understand those that paid a little extra for the service, but the place was way under capacity, so just seemed like a waste. Other than that, the place was always clean, food was really good, the people were amazing! No actual complaints from us. It's a very large place, so be prepared to do some walking to get around. But they do have little shuttles if needed. There's always food available. Even at 11pm, they open another buffet style restaurant over by the pool and are open until 6am. We took advantage of the a la cartes all 3 times and had really good meals. Entertainment was really good. We loved the live bands and musicians that played next to the sports bar in the evenings. Great shopping at the Bahia Village. They do bargain and do give decent deals in both American and Jamaican dollars. Ended up doing most of our souvenir shopping there. Our favorite beaches were over to the left of the hotel when facing the ocean. The beach next to the nude beach had a well equipped beach bar and washrooms which was very convenient. Bring some snorkel gear and you can see a lot of fish just around the resort itself. That part was great! Overall, we had a great vacation and would recommend this resort.

Riu Reggae: Amazing resort

Riu Reggae Hotel was a lovely low-rise which we liked; grounds were tidy, beautiful and well maintained; no issues with checking in or checking out as the staff was friendly knowledgeable and welcoming. The room was clean, tidy and bug free; had a safe as well ; the veranda was ideal just for sitting and/or hanging wet clothes to dry. Beach was safe & clean, water calm, atmosphere scenic, most people friendly, helpful and kind. Entertainment was great at RIU Reggae and RIU Montego Bay especially the Friday White Party which was lots of fun. There were many activities from which to choose and opportunities to get to learn about the culture and people of Jamaica. I would recommend this hotel.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Loved it!

I came here with two friends for a 30th birthday. We have no complaints and had a great time! The rooms were clean, food had variety and was good, beach and pool were super close and nice. We stayed on the Cornwall Beach side which we enjoyed as it is a little quieter than the Montego Beach side. We did have a lot of fun partying on the Montego side as well!
