Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great Holiday Getaway!

We really enjoyed the hotel. Definitely a bonus having the option of the adult side while still being able to enjoy all the amenities across the resort. The staff were great and really took care of our needs.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful Resort

This resort was beautiful! The rooms were clean and spacious, the grounds were well maintained. The pool was beautiful, although crowded at times and availble lounges were difficult to find. The staff was very efficient, the variety and quality of drinks was excellent . There was a great choice of restaurants and most of the food was great.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing fanily resort

Public areas were well maintained, food was amazing and the kids club was great with my 4 year old and my nephew who is 7. Kids pools are great and we spent most of our time there. The beach at the Grand Tulum wasn't great in the season but the others were cleaner and you can go in a short cart ride. Great hotel. Would recommend

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fantastic Stay

Recently spent 5 days in Dominican at the Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar. Honestly I have really nothing bad to say about our stay. The food was fantastic with lots of options, we got a massage which was great and we had a private dinner on the beach which was very personal and romantic. The adults pool was a bit quiet during the day. Unless something was going on there was no music so we just started bringing our own speaker. The compound is massive, we barely saw any of it. But honestly even the buffet is pretty rockin' The hotel mini fridge can be stocked as much as you want but if you plan to do any drinking in your room it may be easier to just grab a bottle of duty free on your way in.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great family time

Check in - easy and great staff Food - variety/selection for both kids, adults and picky eaters. You have the buffet and the snack bar by the pool is great also. A la carte's were delicious. Room - very clean, everything you need inside, and I loved the blackout curtains! Kids club - fun nighttime activities; daytime activities were repetitive but my daughter (7.5) enjoyed the pool time activity and rehearsal time in the afternoon for the nighttime production. Note: there is a kids pool [... read more] area with water slides. Pool - clean and various depths so good for all ages. Bar - multiple throughout the hotel and staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Beach - fun to watch the fish (don't need goggles but great if you have them). It is shallow and doesn't go out far as it is roped off. We stayed at Coba and was about a 5 minute golf cart ride (came frequently). There is a bar at the beach and chairs but no food (that didn't bother us). Waters were a mix of murky and clear. Nighttime - they usually have live music (would be great to see more of a variety or more of an interactive show/dance time) Overall we had a good time.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Time!

Large resort but the timely shuttle service gets you where you want to be within the resort and to the sister resorts…Coba, Tulum and luxury Sian Ka’an. Food at buffet was very good with a good selection. Was able to book in at restaurants…again with good food. Staff were very friendly and worked hard to ensure an enjoyable stay. Want to mention Maria at snack bar and Jose at the buffet for their great service. Only wish it was not an 1:45 hour bus ride. Would have been nice to fly into Tulum.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Resort

We really enjoyed this Resort, service was great, food was amazing. We did ATVing in the juggel and the tour guide (Migal) and his team did a really good job of explaining everything and leading it. The beach was dirty in some areas but still had some clean areas.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Excellent resort

The resort was beyond our expectations. The food was amazing, the room was bright and comfortable and kept clean every day. The service was top notch. The staff really make you feel welcome. We would definitely like to go again, but not in September, it was over 30 degrees every day.

The service and the staff was amazing. Best experience i had in traveling. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends at anytime. I love the customer service i received and the hospitality from the staffs at all times.

We had a amazing stay everything was wonderful pool grounds food room(upgraded to pool room fantastic) staff was amazing entertainment staff was awesome beach was well taken care of walked it every morning The butler we had went above and beyond for my daughter’s 30 birthday and made it a birthday to remember No complaints here will return

Good food and entertainment, very good for kids but service can be a little better. Right from check in to cleaning service the service is fair, not outstanding I would say. But overall satisfied with their service.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Nice Resort....but

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Aquamarine, the hotel in itself was nice. The room we stayed in was the Junior King Suite. While the room was comfortable, the bathroom could use a bit of renovation. The tiles looked dingy and the shower door silicon edge kept falling off. The towels could use some changing as well. We enjoyed some of the entertainment offered, however they seem to cater more to the Spanish guest than the English speaking guest. I wished the DJ played more of different Genre o [... read more]f music, but they mostly played Latino music. The employees seem to not want to make an effort to speak or understand English at all. Another observation I had with the employees is that they seem to be more friendly and helpful to the Caucasian and Spanish guest than the Black guest. This was a huge disappointment. Overall we had a great anniversary getaway...which was not in anyway acknowledged by the hotel even though we mentioned it at check in and all throughout our stay. We probably won't be coming back to this particular resort or probably to the DR unfortunately.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Grounds and hotel were great but not the vendors on site

We were at the on site vendors and they over charged me for a wooden statue by $600.00 no prices on any of the items and the prices change on a minute by minute basis. Will not go back there again. Lost all respect for this resort by not ensuring there on site vendors are capable of running a business properly. Now I am trying to get back some of my money. This wooden statue is only valued at $70.00 U. S.

Wow, What A Surprise...Everything Went Great...Love this Hotel...We Were At the Beach Villa...Close to The Truck, Food Area...So Many Lively Pools, 3 of Them...With Entertainment Galore too...Fantastic and Plentiful Food Options at The Lobby Buffet...It Was Such A Terrific Food Option...Took Many Pics of This Enonomous and Tasteful Buffet...Everyone was so Nice, Friendly and Attentive in The Dominican Republic...Unforgettable...And The All Day and All Night Amazing Entertainment with Nightly Dan [... read more]cing, Afterwards...Never Boring ... Also There is a Casino and a Dance Club nearby too...Lots of Shopping, Stores in the Village Nearby....Its A Great Vacation.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent at pricepoint

Staff is exceptional. Food, recognizing individual tastes, is varied and very good both at a la cartes and buffets. Making a la carte reservations can be an issue but customer services can usually find a reasonable solution. Pools are well cared for but beach area requires care in most areas of entry. Never an issue to find a lounger at the beach, while shade at pools may pose an issue at peak times. Overall there are minor criticisms, but at usual price points, the value received is exceptional.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Should only be a one star resort

The first room we stayed in was run down. The bed had to be a least 20 years old and rock hard causing my entire body to hurt with only one sheet on it. The pillows had a weird smell and I had to hang on to the edge of the tub to get in and out of it because it was raised. The shower had no curtain to hold in the heat or water, just a pane of glass that went half way across the tub. There was still hair in the shower from the previous guest. There were already buttons missing off the couch. We killed mosquitoes every single night in our new room. There was mold and dust around the air conditioning vent. The maid only cleaned the room once while we were there. There was a weird smell in this room that never went away. We were hounded multiple times a day every day to buy something, from spa to excursions to time shares. It was annoying and extremely unprofessional. Made the resort look even worse than it already was. The seaweed ruined going to the beach. You could see the repairs that were done around the resort were just quick fixes instead of proper repairs. The internet was constantly going on and off. The buffet was boring by day 3 and ceiling fans would’ve been nice instead sweating through every meal and swatting away mosquitoes. I would not recommend this resort. Way too expensive for what we had to go through. Not an enjoyable experience and would never recommend. We will never return.

It was okay the service at the lobby was excellent Mr. Henry took very good care of us, he make sure that everything was okay, he is a wonderful man great at his job, and the other works were okay.The service overall was okay ?

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Mediocre resort

This resort was not a 4.5 star resort. A major part of the resort is under renovation and you mainly have to rely on the trolleys to get around the resort. The rooms are dated but are clean and the staff is nice and tries to resolve issues when they arise. The dinner buffet food and nighttime entertainment are subpar. The breakfast and lunch buffet were good. It was nice to be able to go to the other Bahía resorts and a la carte restaurants. The food at the a la carte restaurants was great. Howe [... read more]ver, the availability at the a la carte restaurants was limited and we were unable to book any for almost half of our stay. The steps in the pools are slippery and there is no traction to prevent slips. The beach is rocky and not as nice as other beaches in Mexico.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Resort has gone downhill significantly over the past years

We were at this resort about 10 years ago. It was a good experience. This year I was surprised and disappointed. The room needed repair with old furniture. The rusty air conditioner that blew but did not cool the air. A dirty bathroom with traces of mold. A huge number of mosquitoes entering the room from the air ducts because the windows and doors were always closed. Quite a poor selection of food in restaurants. Cheap and not interesting entertainment. The total hotel rate is no more than 3,0  [... read more]-3,5. It seems that the owners of a hotel chain prefer to make a profit without investing anything. The beach was covered with seaweed that bad an unpleasant smell.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Beautiful Resort/ Wonderful Staff

This is our second time at this resort and we have no complaints. The food was excellent as usual and such a variety to choose from. The grounds are clean and so well maintained. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. The entertainers are amazing, never a dull moment.! We are looking forward to returning.
