Great resort, especially for the Price

This resort is in a great location. Walking distance from downtown. Varadero. All activities close by, like renting scooters, sports bars, etc. On site, up to date venue. Awesome bars, friendly bartenders. Pool kept clean. Ok food, for the price we paid. 700 $ for one full week. Beautiful beach, could not be happier. Out of date rooms, but cozy and home like. Not your modern day resort, but if you like the vintage feel, go for it. Towels were an issue, not clean or ready on most days we were the [... read more]re. But if you pack your own this resort is a good pick. Entertainment every night including mariachi bands for dinner music.

A very dated resort but right on the beach

the grounds were very clean, the hotel loby was very dirty! the staff not that friendly the food was Cuban food and canadien and as always was very good, this was my second time to kawama, the second time I must say was better than the first time.

Best for us in varadara

Go to this resort every tear since 1992 the people are like family.the layout of the grounds is perfect for good or bad weather. Dining is good with a picture perfect view.Planing a return now for thier aniversary opening.It is an older resort but has been revamped many times. Good value for the money!

We got a real good deal on a 3 day 4 night stay. Under 500 each. You need to go in with the expectation that this is an old resort with limited selections. We wanted some sun and relaxation. Our first room was awful and not the superior accommodation that we reserved and paid for, this was a last minute deal! We were polite but firm with the front desk and gave them a gratuity for a better room, we got a fantastic room. Food was ok. Pretty good

The resort was nice. The beach was awesome. The manager attended to our needs when necessary. Some rooms are very old and small as a matchbox. Make sure your room is acceptable to you before you book into it.
