Nice Resort

The rooms need upgrading. But overall everything was good. Very friendly staff. Variety of food selection. Grounds were well kept. Entertainment was good with different entertainers in lobby every night.

Awesome time at Iberostar Daquiri

Just got back from a wonderful week at the Iberostar Daquiri. Everything was great. I requested a room with a king bed in a newly renovated room and that's what we got. Every room has a great view of the ocean. The grounds were beautiful although some walkways are a bit worn. All in all a great week.

Best holiday ever!

From start to finish an amazing trip....friendly staff amazing food all around great experience. Nice that everything was close didn't feel we had to walk forever to get to anything.we would recommend this resort to anyone wanting to go to Cuba

Great Resort

Cayo Coco Iberostar Daiquiri: -Food wasn't the best, resort was great. -The workers were great, calling you by name. The resort itself was beautiful, very relaxing. -Would definitely recommend this resort to any first timers!

Wonderful familiar place

a great place. My 4th time. The staff are like family. The grounds wonderful. Rooms are a bit tired but we only sleep there. Worried about the massive construction on Cayo Guillermo. My 2 weeks at Daiquiri were very crowded.

Fantastic time

Loved the resort. Clean, not too big. The staff were amazing and the food was also great (and not just Cuban standards). The beach and the water were breathtaking. I am not sure if the season was low, but there were always plenty of beach chairs as well as around the pool. Food and drinks around the clock, and you could always find the proper amount of activity, from none to plenty. Entertainment staff made sure to keep busy the kids and the adults. Compact beautiful resort

My wife and I along with 4 other good friends just returned from a stay from March 21-28 2016. The friendliness of the staff from front desk, bars, maids, gardeners, waiters and waitresses are second to none. The entertainment team really go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable and make you feel welcome. Special shout out to Odie, Ernie and Alex, what a wonderful sense of humour. The Varadero or Manztanza buildings are close to everything but really none of the buildings are far away from anything.We even had a bottle of rum in our room upon check in which we assume was because we were returning guests. The only thing we thought that might improve this amazing resort would be an improved cleanup around the pool deck and maybe a 24hr snack bar would be nice. We would not hesitate to visit again though, wonderful vacation.

Amazing resort

This was an awesome resort, the staff was extremely friendly and yes I know that they are suppose to be but not everyone is always that way, but at this resort I found all staff to be very friendly, from the reception in the lobby to the grounds personal that you didn't come in contact with very often. The food was very good in all resteraunts on this resort. The only down side to my visit if any, and I'm not sure you can even call it a downside would be the size of the pool, I found it to be a  [... read more]bit small, but in saying that if you take into consideration the size of the resort it was never over crowded and that might be because the beach was a 2 minute walk from the pool. I would recommend this resort to anyone that is looking to get away to but only if your looking to enjoy yourself.

Less than expected

Just arrived home and happy to be back. The bed were like lying on a board and the pillows were flat, so did not get a lot of sleep. THe food was ok. At the beginning of our stay there were no condiments, so we ate sandwiches and burgers dry. By the end of the week the hotel stocked tomato paste (Ketchup) and mayo.

Clean, good food, no concerns

Found this resort to be somewhat more modern than many due to recent renovations (flat screen tvs, nice showers etc) Not all rooms have been renovated yet though.Found the food to be better than other resorts I've been to. They obviously work hard to keep things clean and maintained. Any issues we had were dealt with quickly with no hassle. Great time!

We really liked the size of the resort. The gardeners do an amazing job on the grounds. The lobby is very open so when there is a breeze (especially at night) it can get quite cool. We stayed in the superior room which had been renovated but the bed was the worst we have ever had.

Nice, small resort.

This resort was nice and easy to get around. Hard to get clean beach towels if you didn't get there early. Make sure you get a renovated room, if not, the room is horrific! Buffet is good but repetitive!

Great vacation

We could not find one reason to complain - everything was perfect: accommodations, service, food and of course THE BEACH !!! There was always something to do, we did snorkeling around the pier : young corals forming, tropical fish. We walked for hours, always busy and amazed. The grounds are kept very well, everything blooming, we found little mimosa plants growing among the grass ! We would love come back to the resort any time and hopefully we will.

Typical Cuban resort

The grounds are very nice ,beautiful beach can go either way for a nice long walk. The room was alright no dresser for clothes,and only 7 hangers in the closet. Maid cleaning could have been better after the 4 the day never gave us clean towels when she took the dirty ones away, The lobby bar ran out of pineapple liqueur after the3rd day in ,but the resort store had a case of it ,and Cuba is the only place you can get this . Food was adequate never went without.

Relaxing Time at Iberostar Daiquiri

I travelled to the Iberostar Daiquiri from Feb 8-15 2016 with my boyfriend. It had been an extremely busy few months and we decided to book this trip last minute. And it was a perfect choice. Although the weather was coolish and windy, it was the perfect relaxing holiday we were needing. Cayo Guillermo hosts a stunning beach, and is off the mainland, so only tourists can be found on the Island (with Cayo-Coco). Iberostar Daiquiri is a smallish resort, well laid out, and with great service. The staff was simply awesome and account for such a great stay. Check-in: Simple and straight forward. I suggest you ask for the code to the safe (2 pesos per day) at check in. Room: Great location, (Varadero Building room 4124) on the ground floor. Room is basic, and kept very clean. King size bed comfortable. View awesome. Don't know if the tv works, I don't go to Cuba to watch tv. Beach: Fine white sand, beautiful, could walk it all day. Water turquoise. Lots of chairs and palapas. Cayo Guillermo attracts kite-boarders, and they are fascinating to watch. Pool: Smallish and gets crowded when the beach is too cool and windy. Not my kind of thing. But people seemed to enjoy it. Food: Well, you are in Cuba. My suggestion? Go for what Cuba offers best: the fresh fruit is simply delicious. The rice and beans, fresh cheese, beef, eggs and simple salads. I would eat the fish if I were not allergic. That said, I found it a little challenging to dodge the "fish/seafood" dishes at the buffet. I can't have anything that has been contaminated, and the lack of serving utensils and the carelessness of some people (who took the same spoon to serve themselves from all the dishes) made it that I could not eat anything that had fish at a station. I had to be very vigilant, but managed to find things to eat regardless. Entertainment: The local music is great. The musicians are talented, and it is a joy to listen while having a drink in the spacious and beautiful lobby. I didn't go to any shows. I definitely recommend Iberostar Daiquiri for anyone who wants a nice, relaxing time with friends, family, and beloveds. Would go back in a heart beat. Tips - I did not see one mosquito (probably because it was really windy). However, sandflies simply love me. And I am not about to put deet all over my body on the beach. I brought some anti-itch cream which was helpful. - Bring a facecloth. Cuba doesn't seem to have those. - I always bring gifts with me: toiletries stay behind, craft supplies, clothing, kids toys, magazines, and gifts from the heart. - Bring a reusable mug. Very handy. A good resort

The hotel grounds were excellent. The staff was amazing, very friendly We had a ground floor room only steps to the beach and only steps to the buffet and pool. it was perfect. Now remember where you are, the room was ok. the sliding door got stuck and the tv was small .but if your going there to stay in your room then this place is not for you. The food was average but good. we had a great time and definitely go back.

Friendly resort!

Small resort, but very friendly. Good food, lots of entertainment, and the weather was amazing! Beach is one of the nicest around. Clean, shallow, good for families. Lots of sun beds, pool very clean. Amazing staff!!

Okay Resort

Overall, the vacation was good. Drinks were cold, sun was hot and beach was amazing. the food was horrible, usually at other resorts in Cuba you can always find something to eat, not at this resort. The rooms were kept clean, the chamber maids work very hard. The beds were beyond uncomfortable. All staff were very nice, and helpful. Would not return to this resort again though.

Better then expected

Smaller hotel, close to beach.Service good and professional. Drinks are good...scotch, rum, tequila ,brandy, gin, vodka...decent red and white vine from Spain. Cappuccino is ok same as the espresso. Rooms are clean, if you dont have enough water just ask for refill in the buffet restaurant. Internet very slow, better get your own plan. 2 tennis courts, ok gym, cheap massage .Best ala cart the Cuban , second best Mexican...dont go to the Italian...

Fair Resort

The resort needs an update. It has 2 pools. Good beach. Staff was great. Food is sub-par (buffet and a la carts). NYE lobster dinner was excellent though. Rooms are decent. 1 hr ride from airport. Would not return.
