CC Beach Front Papagayo: Most amazing hotel

Almost dont want to write this review as we would love to keep the Casa Conde a secret. The staff are amazing. They truly bend over backwards to accommodate you and make you happy. The place has a relaxed colonial vibe. Dont expect fancy marble and glass. Fantastic pools both with swim up bars with amazing bartenders. Rustic beach that staff will set you up in a chair under the trees before grabbing you a drink. Amazing food, mostly buffet but things are cooked to order and not repeated. No nigh [... read more]tlife but the place is so small we knew all the guests and enjoyed just socializing in the sport bar in the evening. We found the Casa Conde the most amazing place.

Hotel Villas Playa Samara: Dream resort

Our resent trip to Costa Rica was absolutely amazing. The resort was so friendly and welcoming. The beach was nothing like I’ve ever experienced before. Very quiet and long as the eye can see. The town Samara is magical, small surf town with so many places to eat and enjoy breathtaking sunsets.

Azura Beach Resort Samara: Beautiful Resort

Azura Resort – Staff – excellent/friendly, food - excellent/variety, property – excellent. Costa Rica – yah, we could live there. People friendly, Town of Samara – a nice walk and fun. Ocean clean/warm and beautiful sunsets. Costa Rica excursion – we booked through Azura Resort – Volcano, Zip Line and Hot Springs Spa. Unbelievable. Long drive to get there, but well worth it.

Azura Beach Resort Samara: So quiet and relaxing.

This resort is beautiful and quiet. If you are looking for a party resort do not go here. If you are looking for friendly service, beautiful rooms and a peaceful place to rejuvenate you won’t be disappointed.

Azura Beach Resort Samara: Beautiful resort with superior staff

Beautiful hotel, everything very new. All staff were extremely personal and always willing to please. Food was very good with good variety. Highly recommend the day trip to zip line near the Arenal Volcano, despite a long drive there/back, well worth it.

Planet Hollywood Costa Rica: Great Resort

Planet Hollywood is a very nice resort. The rooms are fantastic and the property is well taken care of. One of the big downfalls during our stay was that there were multiple groups from Johnstone that were on the resort at the same time as we were there. There were special events that paying guests were not allowed to attend as this was for the Johnstone group only. It was annoying that you felt segregated after spending a lot of money for the vacation. Also the beach was very small and not many used it.

Azura Beach Resort Samara: Amazing Resort

Great resort, small but in a big way. Staff was amazing as was the food. Lots of care and consideration for the guest experience. A little get away from from everything. Nice little towns you can walk to along the beach. Staff made sure you enjoyed it.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Amazing Resort

Amazing all inclusive resort with great food and lots of activities. Kids love the pool and water park. The room is pretty big and internet service is fast. Seeing howler monkeys in the trees beside the resort is one of highlights of the trip.

Riu Guanacaste: Great resort

The hotel was beautiful. Easy checkin, friendly staff, rooms cleaned quickly. Food was great and suited all tastes. Drinks were good. Beach was gorgeous, a little rocky directly in front of the resort, but a quick walk down you could find more sandy entry. Amazing wildlife everywhere. We saw countless monkeys and a variety of monkey species. I would without a doubt consider returning with my family to this resort. Huge pool.

CC Beach Front Papagayo: Great Resort

Short ride from Liberia airport, provided with cool towel and drink upon arrival, seemless check in. Room was comfortable (lots of storage) but bathroom needed upgrading. Our balcony overlooked public parking lot which was quite busy at times and made outdoor furniture dusty. The public beach is just outside the grounds of the resort. There were plenty of shade trees. There were plenty of loungers so no need to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve a chair. There was a wide selection of food at the buffet with very little repeats in the 2 weeks we were there, always well prepared and plentiful. The breakfast waffles (made to order) were excellent. The drinks were good, some of the bar tenders created their own concoctions which were always delicious. It is a small resort and was quiet and restful which is exactly what we were looking for. Staff got to know you by name and were always friendly and accommodating.

CC Beach Front Papagayo: So relaxing!!!

We just got home from a 2 week stay at Casa Conde Beachfront resort, first of all, this resort is not for partiers so if that’s your thing best to go to a larger resort. My husband and I were very impressed with the beautiful mastersuite and my favorite place was having my morning coffee on our patio listening to all of the birds and looking over the gorgeous grounds and ocean. Riu Guanacaste: Good for an All Inclusive

This resort is good for people looking for an all inclusive...although if you want peace and quiet, you have to ask for a room (and be very adamant) overlooking the eco park with the monkeys. You can watch the monkeys playing from your balcony and you don't have to listen to the awful nightly entertainment. I did ask for one of these rooms upon check in - front desk assured me the room they first gave us was quiet, but very noisy and I mean noises you do NOT want to hear - thin walls (especially [... read more] with a 15 yo). So, next day, I asked Sunwing rep if we could move, and he (Gilbert) looked after it within minutes. Food is good...you can always find something good. We did not want to line up at 5:30 for a la carte.. so we ate at buffet every night. Rooms are clean, something always missed after cleaning, but when we called front desk they would look into it. We are just done with all inclusives, but if that's what you want, it's a good option.

Riu Guanacaste: Beautiful resort!

Beds were uncomfortable, pillows were uncomfortable & very small, surprised for a Riu. Ocean was not great to swim in, beach was to be expected as same in Panama where I have been, not white & sandy. The resort itself was beautiful & clean, the food was good.

Riu Guanacaste: Great place to stay

Had a great time at the resort! Friendly staff. Ton of food to choose from. Great entertainment. Would highly recommend this hotel. Walking distance to monkey bar and turtle hatchery. Beach is great!

Secrets Papagayo Resort: Fun in the Sun

We spent a week in Costa Rica and it is a beautiful country!! Secrets Papagayo is a great resort. The food was great, but we found that the buffet was the way to go, always fresh and tasty. If you eat at the Italian restaurant, order doubles as the portions are very small. The staff were wonderful!! Always smiling, and they had the best dancers I have ever seen. We have been to other Secrets resorts, and this one was very stingy with the in room alcohol. Even though we had a great time, with great friends, I would not return to this resort.

Planet Hollywood Costa Rica: Flashy Lobby proffers a positive first impression

The resort was just over one year old so it still had a well maintained look overall. Our view,which overlooked a glistening bay, was an incentive to rinse early and make the most of the day. The meal quality was better than expected and encompassed a broad selection. Using restraint and choosing wisely, it is possible to eat fairly well. The included wine selection is limited to just two whites and two reds which were average. The most disappointing aspect was the Green Room Lounge. This was [... read more] marketed as a perk for the Star Class Members. In reality it is a dark, tiny room with only 3 seats. The "special selection" of food was unimpressive and mimicked what was on offer in the resort to all guests. The perks of the Star Class membership were the pool, which was more peaceful than the main pool area, and the designated bar which was far less crowded. The Fitness Classes on offer were worth attending as the staff made a genuine effort. Unfortunately very few individuals take advantage of the opportunity perhaps because the classes are conducted outside in the Costa Rican heat. The Rooms were pleasant but sometimes the service could be delayed for items requested. It took two days to customise our mini bar. The most off putting aspect are the sales pitches. These " offers " are intended to entice the guest to spend more. These ploys are desperate and unprofessional. The purpose of an all inclusive vacation is the fact that money is not given a thought from arrival to departure.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Fantastic resort

The Riu Palace was great place, people where friendly, food was great, lots of variety, rooms where made up with special care, the grounds and pool area where very clean, thou beach was a public one, they still served us there, with no issues with the locals..

Riu Guanacaste: Great resort

We loved the Riu. Great food, beautiful and well kept grounds. Clean rooms, lots of wildlife. Highly recommend. Tons of great excursions close by which is good because Entertainment was not great, and not much going on fun-wise at the resort.

Great Hotel would be great if there was a bar closer to the beach, and they didn't limit refilling fridge to every 2 days, other than that no complaints. Really enjoyed seeing monkeys next door each day.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Wonderful resort

Great place , food and service were great !!! Staff is friendly, we were very happy with our stay. Not a lot to do in the evenings but that wasn’t a big deal for us, we were up early every morning and tuckered by 9 at night. My only negatives about the resort are the location is really far for most excursions, so to avoid long bus rides we did an atv and boat excursion, both were great !!! Also the lighting near stairways, elevators and pathways to beach restaurant are dim or non existent
