Well maintained garden and clean surroundings including rooms.love the beach and the coconuts, was surprised that there were seafoods like shellfish this time,didn’t had any the first two visits I was there,but not enough veggies and fruits,

pre cuba we were worried about some negative reports.fortunately we went to find lot of different food something for everyone as club we went to several a la carte meals and were very pleased.we saw no mosquitos and never used bug spray.the grounds the beach were all great. eveything was kept clean our room had no deficiencies and we slept well,all our staff were anxious to please . but we want to single out your sunwing rep annabel who was extra caring for us . the entertainment was a little  [... read more]spotty partly due to not enough guests to do karaoke or audience participation.my wifes only question..... can we go back next year?

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Ok

Positive: I liked the staff, very nice and friendly. Very good service. Onsite doctor very helpful. The resort itself is beautiful, with nice pools, a snack bar opened 24/7, nice rooms with comfy beds, AC working and hot shower. THE BEACH is my major positive aspect of this resort, with snorkling spots, beautiful sand and water. We enjoyed it very much. Downsides: We had 2 rooms, both of which had issues with locks that were only temporarily fixed, and caused us issues the whole time. The  [... read more]buffet was full of options, but not the best options. I know it's Cuba. I was not expecting much, especially that our family has dietary restrictions. Pork is in almost everything, even salads, rice and beans. We were hoping for more vegetarian/fish/seafood options. Restaurants are basically the same as the buffet, but with less options, service and nice presentation. Again, not complaining, we had a good deal and ate ok overall. If you have strict food restrictions, might be better to go to another resort. There is entertainment all over the place. Buffet with a band, a stage with shows at night and music starting at 10 am which we hear at the buffet, music and animation team at the beach. I put it on the downside list only because we tend to prefer a more calm resort, but could be a positive aspect to people who likes this kind of ambiance. Overall we had a good deal and enjoyed the beach. However, I would not go back to Holgin, Cuba overall. Too far from the very old and obsolete airport. Was not a fun traveling experience.

Playa Pesquero: Best teip

Trip was great, agent was super helpful and answered all my questions and requested. I would recommend same location. Food was great. Service and rooms very nice. ………………………………………………………….,,..,,,,,,,,,,,

Sol Turquesa Beach: amezing resort

this hotel was super good , lots of food and drinks . realy nice peapole frendly nice rooms and nice beach. good wheather every one have to go to CUBA the need meer people so the have moor income

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great Resort

The beaches are clean and nice. Service personnel were kind. Overall, we are staying at this hotel for the second time (the fifth time in Cuba and the third time in Holguin). Paradisus Rio de Oro is the perfect cost-effective choice.

Rio de Oro, c’est le plus beau complexe hôtelier de Cuba et le Royal service est encore plus luxueux. La nourriture est excellente, digne des plus grands restaurants et opulente. Le bar est très bien garni avec de bons alcools; à chaque jour de très bons vins et du rhum Santiago 12 ans. Nous n’avons manqué de rien durant tout notre séjour. La plage est superbe, sable comme de la farine et il est possible, de la plage, d’atteindre le corail pour faire du snorkling. Des vacances de rêve, merci!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful Resort

We stayed here from December 20-27 and really enjoyed our stay. We stayed on the Royal side which was marvelous and had excellent service and food, but we also spent time on the other side which was also great. No shortages at all in terms of food or alcohol. We would definitely return again, thanks so much Tammy Beamish for helping us to arrange this much needed vacation!

Brisas Guardalavaca: too loud

Third time visit, it will be the last. Music was way to loud, non stop plus the PA in-between. Food was fine, staff great. Definate isssues with arrival and departure times. Free bottle of rum no longer available, as bottled water every day in room.

Brisas Guardalavaca: THE BEST RESORT IN HOULGIN

I went with my friend for two weeks and we loved everything about the resort. The food was amazing. The beach was amazing. The staff was very polite and nice. The room was very clean I would recommend anyone that wants to go to Hogan to take this hotel. I will definitely go to this place next time. I will make sure I go one month.

Grand Memories Holguin: Fun Christmas vacation!

December 18 to December 28, 2024. We booked oceanview room with Premium package. Yosbel, was our guardian angel during our stay. Nothing was missed, filled fridge, he booked all of our a la cartes. If I had any concerns or questions, I'd address it to him and he did his absolute best to help us . Fridge was filled, the room was clean, comfortable beds, big size hair dryer, nice shower. They played with my son, thought him all the signature dances :) This is a 2 year old resort, I do know that certain things aren't available to maintain certain areas of the resort, but fresh coat of the paint in certain common areas would be nice and to fix cupboards in the buffet for staff lol. Also, I see all these Managers walking around, cameras on top of everything. Just please make certain things run smoother and more efficient. The food was good, our favorite Japanese restaurant. Tuna was great! The beach is great, yes it's windy, but we can't play with God and mother nature. Amazing pools as well! Can't forget my buffet ladies, Sandra ( the singer) and Yulieska. Always welcoming us with smiles on their faces and kisses. We love them Mi cubano hermanas forever!❤️ Our maid Rubi, super nice lady. 24 h bar, Lily making my 7 am cappuccino, extra strong. This was our 2nd visit to this resort and won't be last. I just wish that it was closer to the airport. There are few things that can be corrected. Less wait time at the lobby bar, more efficient way that buffet staff works and serves, few times I was without water or ate with a knife lol, when I was almost done, staff member approach me. I went to their little station didn't find any forks. (Sometimes they are understaffed because of fuel shortage and the employees that are already there have to cover another shift , because others werent able to come to work) I personally don't mind, but many people due to dietary issues or cultural or religion don't eat certain food. Cannot mix or use same grill and utensils /grilling tools for chicken and pork, or fish and beef. FOOD HANDLING EDUCATION is necessary. Other than that, we were fine with everything we ate. I am well aware of shortages and how things are run in Cuba. 17 times and different parts of Cuba. Tbh i find that the food and menus are all the same everywhere with few small adjustments. I did tip, I did give gifts. I brought a whole suitcase of gifts, non perishable food items but even without tipping, any place,buffet, or bar i went to , I received a good service with a smile on their faces. We did Dolphins excursion,even though Cici and Dana didn't want to play with us, we got to touch them. We were told it's a Love season for them and they behave different. Catamaran was so nice. Grand Memories Holguin: Grand Memories Resort

Generally, I do not review resorts. I have been to Cuba over a dozen times throughout the years. We travelled to this resort the week leading up to Christmas. We got a good rate and I can honestly say it was one of the best value trips I have ever had. The grounds were well kept and all the staff incredibly friendly. They constantly were cleaning the hotel. Additionally, lobby bar staff continually asked customers for orders while sitting in the lobby area. This was greatly appreciated. T [... read more]he food was good by Cuban standards and they had the odd shortages of items from time to time but nothing significant. All in all, it was a fantastic experience. Some of the cons were the two hour bus trip to the resort.(if they are expanding in the Antilla Rodan peninsula, they might want to consider building a new airport nearby). The resort should improve their communication strategy. Hand out a map upon check in so people know where to go. Set up a board in the lobby to indicate events going on throughout the week. The Sunwing nexus posting in the lobby did not indicate departure times for various flights going out. This small detail would be an easy fix.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Unrealized potential !

The staff at this resort are truly amazing—warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The property itself is beautiful and full of potential, but unfortunately, it falls short in delivering the kind of vacation experience most people are looking for. The main issue is the lack of guests, which has a domino effect on almost everything. The food options are very limited and repetitive. After a few days, meals became more of a chore than something to enjoy. The entertainment was also underwhelming. The disco was open but often empty because there just weren’t enough people. The theater was never operational, and while there were occasional live music performances, those were rare. Most evenings, you’re left sitting in the reception area, swatting away mosquitoes and hoping for something to happen. For anyone with mobility issues, this resort is not ideal. There are a lot of stairs, and while carts are available to transport guests, they’re not always the most convenient option. If you choose to walk, the alternative routes can be very long and tiring. That said, there are some positives. The beach is long and scenic, great for walks, and the water sports were excellent. With fewer guests, you get plenty of space to yourself, which can be nice if you’re looking for peace and quiet. However, swimming is a bit of a challenge due to rocks and seaweed—you have to search for clear spots to enjoy the water. In summary, this resort could be fantastic if it had more guests and a livelier atmosphere. Right now, everything feels scaled back, and it doesn’t deliver the full resort experience. For a similar price, there are better options nearby that offer more variety, entertainment, and overall value. I wouldn’t return to this resort anytime soon.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Nice resort

It has all you need to enjoy a calm and quiet vacation. It is a nice resort, the common areas are very well maintained. We had great time at the swimming pool, the beach is very pretty, but definitely the people made the difference. Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Great relaxing resort

1. Welcome is good. 2. Room large, clean with a great view of the main garden pathway leading to the beach and pools. 3. Bathroom...large with double sink. 4. Extra large dining area, very clean with good service even though buffet. 5. Food, variety of ways to serve : cucumbers, pumpkin, fruit, sauces, beef, chicken ok. Did not enjoy the fish. Enjoyed the rice pudding but not the sweet desserts which lacked taste. Soup was usually good. Scrambled eggs every morning for me. It was good.

Playa Pesquero: Beautiful Resort, Amazing People

Beautiful, clean, and the customer service is tops. This was our first trip to Cuba. Definitely going back next year. The only thing I would like to recommend is booking into the a la carte restaurants. The buffet is not very good. Thankful for their hard work on feeding such large crowds irregardless.

Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Outstanding

RULE #1 ------- Don't expect things to be the same as Home, If that's your expectations, STAY HOME! I comparison to other Cuban resorts we visited in the last few years, the Muthu was a pleasant surprise. Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Amazing Vacation

They had lobster. The food was good, unlike the usual cuban menu in other resorts. The room is big a clean. The resort is big and very beautiful. The entertainment was very impressive. Overall, it was an unforgettable vacation.

Grand Memories Holguin: Great Resort

Generally clean and well kept. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was exactly as you would normally expect in Cuba aside from a slightly reduced variety due to supply shortages. There are ample choices when you're looking for a spot by one of the many pools, or on the beach.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing beach

We recently spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Hotel Amigo in Guardalavaca, Cuba. The hotel's friendly staff, beautiful beach, and lush surroundings made for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with stunning ocean views. The hotel's location on Guardalavaca's stunning beach was perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and simply soaking up the sun. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Amigo for its excellent value, beautiful setting, and warm hospitality.
