Azul Ixtapa Resort: Extraordinary!

Wonderful hotel, wonderful staff, I cannot believe the amount of cleanliness. Room checked twice a day for cleaning and towels. Lovely people. Their a la carte restaurants were excellent. Loved the ecological park at the end of the beach. Loved everything. Will definitely travel here again.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Good Resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Azul Ixtapa resort. The resort was clean, good service and had a lot activities for kids and adults. The beach is small but good pools. Also enjoyed a la carte restaurants.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Beautiful Resort

Hotel was Beautiful - clean, spacious, staff was very friendly and always ready to serve food drinks with a smile! Book your activities and resturants early in your trip - Oyster Bar at 6:00 pm sunset dinner is a must!! Beach is natural setting not large - visit the Azul Beach Club for beach and ocean fun! Take the boat or kayak to the island for a snorkel day - worth the ride!!

Barcelo Ixtapa: Our 2nd visit to the Barcelo

While we were very disappointed when we arrived to find the one pool under construction, meaning that the kids were allowed in the adult pool, it turned out okay after the Mexico holiday weekend passed by. We were at the Barcelo Ixtapa 4 years ago, tried another hotel in Ixtapa last year and returned to the Barceló Ixtapa because it was cleaner than the other place. Great service, nice and clean, entertainment was okay (except the Michael Jackson night, they need a better Michael Jackson). Only [... read more] complaint is that there is not a good selection of a la carte restaurants (only one), we didn't remember that from the first time. I think that has changed.

Fontan Ixtapa: Loved it

I loved this resort, the food was delicious, the service was great, beautiful people. I was there during an Earthquake, and the staff were excellent, moved all of us to the first floor as we were all scared. The beach was really nice, I would go back and stay at this same resort, there was a market across the street and a super market. There were many options on places to eat, the main buffet or by the beach where you can order from the menu.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Great holiday

We loved the hotel. Rooms were fabulous, gorgeous pools and grounds. The food as good in the buffet as well as the specialty restaurants. The only place where we found servie a bit slow was in the bar in the evening.

Barcelo Ixtapa: Wonderful hotel

This was one of our favorite holidays. The hotel, the staff and the location were all top notch.we enjoyed the entertainment every night and being able to take a bus into town. We would highly recommend this hotel chain.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: great location with amazing scenery

I like that they are close to markets , public beach and an island with more beachside restaurants. Felt very safe walking around the public areas nearby. The staff are helpful and friendly. You get to mingle with locals as well as this hotel is not strictly for tourist.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Best resort ever !

Best resort that I have ever stayed at , the rooms are amazing , the service and staff are second to none ! I will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for great winter getaway ! Thanks for the memories !

Presidente Intercontinental: close to all amenities

well kept resort with a great staff,rooms, a little out dated. Food was plentiful and the swim up bar was really a great place with lotsa good people.Close to shops and theres also a couple of banks close by for money exchange.... overall a great time at a great price... Ola !!!!

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Great time!

Almost stayed another week! Room was beautiful - tours were fun. Kids loved it. Staff friendly. Beach next door was long and sandy. Hotel beach not very big or useable. Crocodiles within walking distance. Entertaining shows. Bus to town outside hotel. Massages down the beach - 20$ each. Kids waterpark not at this hotel but able to go to neighbour hotel. It is enclosed so parents either go in or stand and watch. Only went once. Our hotel was nicer. Good kids club.

The hotel was prestigious. The restaurants and food was fantastic. Impeccable service. The grounds were clean and very well kept. Will definitely go again and recommend this resort to all. Maids and all staff were very pleasant and professional. Great value for the money.

Presidente Intercontinental: Average hotel

First room no balcony looking unto brick wall very dark and dingy and musty smell, however they changed our room right away as hotel was only at 50% occupancy. This room was nice with a walk out to a patio and the pool it was a very large room. Food was ok one night was Mexican festival my husband can't eat spicy and could not find anything to eat we had go outside to get him a meal. Entertainment was al [... read more]most non existent volleyball was the only thing going on in the day time and bingo in the late after noon. Out of seven nights there was only three shows and these were on weekends when the locals came and stayed at the resort. The area is very safe and we walked around outside a lot, heavy presence of police and military who were all armed. We did a tour of a coconut farm and slat factory and tour of the local area it wasn't worth it.

Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Beautiful resort!

There are many things to rave about when it comes to this resort. Each room has an awesome view as all the rooms face the ocean. Its fairly new so very clean. Decor is very modern. The infinity pool and swim up bar behind the waterfall are the place to be. Food by the pool is great. Buffet lunches were ok. Restaurants were good. Not much of a beach, but you can walk over the sister resort and enjoy the beach there. Walk further past the pier and there is an even nicer public beach to enjoy and w [... read more]alk along.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Beautiful resort, excellent service!

Amazing location, we took the bus just outside the hotel and explored various places. The only thing missing is GOOD entertainment in the evening. Otherwise everything else is very good. Will return soon.

Azul Ixtapa Resort: Fife stars resort!

We were filled as a 5 stars resort!! Great restorans, specialy on Coast. Pools done very well and resonable. Service we consider as A 5 stars too. You can exchange money at front desk even Canadian dollars. Very good rooms and balcony with ocean views.

Las Brisas Ixtapa: One and all

Location is marvellous it's our 7 th time there grounds are impeccable view is a million $ Quiet and lovely food is great although it went down a notch now you can only dine 3 restaurants a la carte . Service is great drinks are the best. Rooms are super simple but facing 180 on the ocean!! Anxious they don't make you sign a bill each time / always a distinction bee tween all inclusive and not all inclusive in attitude from staff overall of course we ll return there's no other place like it!

Barcelo Ixtapa: you can count on the weather here!

The hotel is outdated and does not measure up to other Barcelo resorts. The beach is nice to walk on but is unswimmable because of the undertow. We were even warned on the bus from the airport not to go swimming in the ocean. The pools were nice and comfortable to go into, not freezing. The buffet is very small with limited choices. We ate rice, the rest was like refried mush. Across the street was a fair size market where you could buy all kinds of fun things. That made for a nice getaway from the beach when it got just too hot as a lot of the booths were under cover. We had a hard time getting a hot shower although our friends did not have this problem in their rooms. The linens were changed every day and we had lots of towels, although the actual housekeepping in the room was not up par. They were very poorly staffed at night time in the lobby bar, one person one night for about 75 people. You had a very long wait for a drink and if you went to get it yourself, you had to go into the disco and try and get it in there. There are no snacks after dinner at all. On one night the waiter brought around little bowls of popcorn to our tables and that was it. But you certainly can count on gorgeous sunny days every day so that was the best thing about this holiday. All in all, anytime you can get away from like, it is always a good thing! However if you are looking for the elegance of a normal Barcelo resort, this is not the place for you, its day has come and gone.

Tesoro Ixtapa: Superb Service

What stands out most is the beach - a beautiful long stretch of fine golden sand - and the efficient drink service from the staff on the beach. Although the waves were big, as strong swimmers we enjoyed the exercise. The buffet, while not as expansive as a 5-star resort, nevertheless provided a nice variety of flavourful food including some authentic Mexican cuisine, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Barcelo Ixtapa: Very Relaxing and clean resort. Excelent service

Excellent service from the staff. Very informative about any attractions. Great food. Really enjoyed the choice of additional restaurants other than the Buffet. There was always a restaurant open on the grounds when ever you needed to eat.
