Bad experience

Beaches and pools are lovely. Rooms were nice size but require deep cleaning. Food was terrible. We arrived on the latest flight and were greeted with a nice cocktail but the only food available was dry left over food in an unairconditioned room.Three of our friends got sick. We found pebbles in our food. We got two good meals: one lobster dinner at the Italiano and an awesome Saturday buffet dinner when the hotel was conducting a survey. When my roommate was sick the wouldn't provide room servi [... read more]ce and directed me to the Grill which was closed. They dont have a pharmacy at the hotel so you have to take a taxi out of the resort. It was only 5kms away but imagine if you were alone and couldn't get out of bed. And no hair ties anywhere to be found.

Great Value for the expense

This is my second visit to Memories Paraiso/Azul and 4th visit to the beaches of Santa Maria. I have never been disapointed with any of my visits. The latest one, November 11 through to the 18th at Memories Paraiso met all of my expectations; great staff who are friendly as always, plenty of food, great amenities and so on and so on. The room, #3166, was clean and had a great veiw of the ocean. Good value for your money

Average 4* Cuban hotel. Good white sand beach, very friendly staff. Variety of food could be better (I always wondering why u didn't get RIPE fruits and vegetables on Cuba?). I like to snorkel - not at this place, no reefs at all.

Great Resort

The Hotel is fantastic, I had a great oceanview room, my mini fridge was replenished twice a day with beers, colas and a bottle of water. Very clean and I enjoyed every minute of my stay there. The cubans are the best people treat you like family. The grounds were impecable. I have been to this resort three times and it gets better and better!!!! My only complaint is that my two favorite barmen have been seperated. Ariel and Jimmy used to be together at the beach bar, they had a great dynamic to [... read more]gether and people loved that.. They should really consider putting them to work together again.

Great resort

stayed at memories paraiso in oct this resort was better then we thought it would be.. the beach is amazing and rooms very clean the ground are so pretty the food was good didn't go hungry the staff were great ... cant wait to go back in april and nov of next year

Great Resort

Check in service was so fast, service was terrific. Staff was amazing, and the food was great. Grounds are well maintained. Beach is beautiful. Shows were great. Only down size, Part of the resort was closed. so on the rainy day the buffet at lunch was packed. and hard to find a seat. So had they had the other section open there would not have been a shortage of tables. But that would not stop us from going back, as we still look forward to returning.

Nice Resort

Clean, well kept, good drinks,nice pools above average for Cuba. Lots of Jelly fish on calm water days. Night entertainment provided by off resort entertainers and was very good. Large Resort so theirs some walking involved.

Awesome Beach

My husband and I recently visited this site for a 4 night stay at the end of October 2014. We had a fabulous time, everything at the resort was fantastic. Receiving the registration package and wrist bands while on the bus eliminated long lines a registration, our accommodations while not being Mexican 4.5 star was a solid Mexican 4, the food was very good, flavorful and there was plenty of variety. The staff was friendly and everyone spoke excellent English and they even humoured my husband whe [... read more]n he tried to speak Spanish. The nightly entertainment was very professional and better than most we have seen in Mexico. The resort exceeded our expectations, we would definitely return to Memories Paraiso Beach Resort for another visit.

Amazing resort

Thank you so much for everything! Amazing food, very good people. We liked for everything!!! I was with my daughter, and we were happy with karaoke, intertaiment, nice staf. We took a very good trip in catamaran! Thank you! Lobster was every day, see food, very good restorants and staf!!!

Great vacation

The beaches are very beautiful, and clean. It seems that wherever we go, be it the Dominican Republic, or Cuba, the bartenders in the lobbies always seem to be the crabbiest people on the resort. This resort was no exception. But they are easily avoided by sitting at a table, and being served by any one of the VERY friendly waiters and waitresses. The food was very good, if not a little repetitive after the 5th day. We had a problem with our first room (noisy air conditioner, really bad mold in  [... read more]the bathroom). But onevisit to the customer relations desk, and we were moved right away to a better room closer to the beach. Overall, I would say that this resort lives up to its 4 star rating, and we would definitely recommend it to others.

Royal traitement

Very nice and clean hotel the rooms are spatieuse and clean the bar in the room all wish full the restaurants are good and the buffet is very nice varieter ( l'obster shrimps) the staf friendly we enjoy the most beautiful beach all the activities salsa leson in the beach and aquoi fitnesse good value

Very satifly

The ground in everything Was very convenient and they Was very helpful to change the room Because we want a king bed,was no problem So very satifly the staff was very polite We did have our table reay for us everytime We when for diner .

Memories Paraiso Beach Resort

This hotel has the potential to be an amazing resort. The people are very nice and helpful. The entertainment is awesome. They have afternoon shows and evening shows, which obviously keeps people entertained. The beach is one of the nicest beaches I have ever seen. The resort itself is tired ,it needs new paint, definitely new sheets, and an internet café with computers for people to use. The food is the same pretty much everyday. Boring and mundane. They are slow to pick up dirty dishes left b [... read more]y the buildings and cups left around the lobby were there for several days at a time. One need not wonder what attracts the cockroaches. With a little love this resort could certainly be the 4 star plus that it claims to be. If you can bring your own sheets.

Outstanding beeches

very well kept grounds, pleasing landscape. waiting airport& late flights my problem. early morning flight or afternoon will be great. people are very friendly & lively. entertainment was excellent. please try have early flights

Amazing Resort!!!

My husband and I went to this resort in June, 2014 for our 30th Anniversary. We had an awesome time. The rooms were very spacious it could have easily accommodated four people. Our rooms were situated about 10 mins from the main lounge area & the cafeteria, but there were always carts shuttling us back & forth. The food was good, there was always a variety. The beach was absolutely beautiful there were days where the water was crystal clear if you dropped a ring you could pick it up from the water. It was amazing!! I found the Cuban people very friendly & every individual that I came in contact with spoke English we were able to hold conversations, that made our stay even more memorable. Viva! My trip

The place was beautiful, beach was clean and beautiful, rooms were clean, service was good... Food wasn't the best , lots of walking. I would recommend this place to my friends. Most of the staff was very kind and friendly . Overall I would go back to the same place

Great beach

Overall I would go back to this resort again. This was the first time my wife and I traveled to this part of Cuba, and as far as the beach goes, it surpasses all other locations we have been to. The only downside of traveling to this great location is the 1.5 hour bus drive to get there. We traveled with another couple who like us just wanted to relax at the beach and pool, so we were not interestd in doing any excursions which was probably good due to the fact you were isolated from the remaind [... read more]er of the Island. The resort was in good condition and kept very clean. We traveled there from May 8th to the 15th so it was later in their season, which was evident because they had half of their resort shut down, but still didn't affect any service we received as this is one of the larger resorts on Cuba. Overall I would say the food was good for a resort in Cuba. (although we did not care for the food or experience at the pool side restaurant. I would recomend walking the extra distance to the main buffet as the food was better and more to choose from) A la Cartes were good, great meals to choose from and tasty! I'm not sure I would go back to Cuba this late in the year, as the mosquitos became quite plentiful as the sun went down. I had a coworker stay at the same place two weeks before me and he did not have the same experience with the mosquitos. The drink selection was OK, but not as good as what we experienced when we stayed in Varadero 2 years previous. As far as entertainment goes, this resort could improve. Any other experience for us in Cuba at the resorts we stayed at seemed to have better shows at night. (It might not have helped that because the theatre is so open to the outside that we were preocupied with the mosquitos. yes we used a bug spray, but it didn't seem to be very effective) Only one night out of the seven we were there they had a live band that played, this was probably the best entertainment they had. I found the staff very friendly at this resort as I have at any others we satyed at in Cuba.

Great resort'

Great resort, amazing beach!! Food is ok- good for Cuba but not comparable to places like Mexico.somewhat clean. But great resort for the price! Service is great, and pools are always clean! The resort is big so you don't feel like there's many people on it. Would recommend this!

Impessive resort

Food was good , drinks wherent the best the drinks tend to get too strong near 2 but service was good, clean room Awesome service, good activities, good resort for children. Entertainment could of been better,

Not a resort I'd go to again..

First of all I'd like to say that Cuba is beautiful. The beaches are absolutely breath taking! The resort however is probably one of the worst resorts I've ever been to. The rooms were dirty, especially the bathrooms. The bedding was never changed, only made every day. The pool was slimey. Not sure what the pool boy actually did every morning? The food was plain and the same every day. I don't always want to eat French fries, hamburgers and hotdogs... Where's the fresh seafood? The music by the  [... read more]pool was someone's burnt cd which played the same 4 songs over, and over, and over again. The over all resort wasn't clean and the floors were sticky. And lastly the weather in April (although we were assured would be fine) was stormy and way too closed to the change in seasons. We stayed in Cuba for 1 week and the first 4 days we witnessed thunder, lightening, crazy gusts of wind and lots and lots of rain. The week before we had gotten there (the last week of May) apparently had been beautiful. Go figure. I will never be going back. Live and learn.
