Amazing resort

i had such an amazing time i would definelty reccomend this to other people i already have . the food was amazing the people working at the reosrt are very kind and helpful overall it was an amazing trip and just cant wait to go back.

Beautiful beach, great resort

The breach on this resort is just beautiful. The rooms are spacious (we had a junior suite in building 9) but the bed slightly hard, my hips were feeling slightly sore the last couple of days. The food was decent, the Italian restaurant was by far our favorite all a carte. The pools were good to, but they close by 6pm. The beach bar closed at five so that kind of sucked but overall we really enjoyed this resort and would return. Great week

Had a great week, staff is incredibly friendly and fun. Food was pretty good and drinks were fast and tasty. Would definitely recommend and will be returning. Only thing, we had an amazing ocean view in building 1 but had a little ant issue. Nothing crazy.

Ok resort

Overall the resort was ok. Pretty run down and staff did not seem overly friendly which was surprising because of all the great reviews. Room was fine, did not get separate beds as requested but it was clean and cleaning staff was good. Food not the best at the buffet but a la cartes were great. Beach was beautiful! Had a great time but found the resort quite pricey for what you get.

All in all great stay!

In few words: great value for the money. The resort itself is on a smaller side, everything is close, not a lot of walking required. We stayed in building #1, which is right between the entrance to the beach and the pool on the other side. Room was clean, good customer service upon request. Food was ok, never went hungry. Snack bar "Bites" was not too good in my opinion (food and service), so we opted for buffet. Entertainment was good, both during day and night. Another week in paradise

Visited this resort from April 20-2 2018. It was amazing to see how well this resort has recovered and improved since the hurricane last year. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has an enjoyable vacation. The selection of food and drinks is great, I am very picky and had no problem finding something yummy everyday. i would absolutely recommend this hotel for families, couples or friends.

Beautiful resort & amazing service!

The resort was beautiful - what's not to love with palm trees & sun!. The staff was courteous & friendly. Keep in mind, it is Cuba so there are shortages of toilet paper in some of the washrooms & the food needs some additional flavouring. Even though I did enjoy my stay at Memories Flamenco, if I were to return to Cayo Coco, I would refer another resort that my husband & I stayed at previously. This is our Second Home

We love Memories Flamenco in Cayo Coco. This is our second trip back and it will be our go to from here on out. THE BEACH IS BEYOND AMAZING!! the rooms have been updated and the service is perfect. Strongly recommend diamond club for your stay. Do not be afraid to give this one a try. There is no need to do a beach excursion when staying at Memories.

Very Disappointing

This was our first trip to Cuba and we were very excited to see something new. We were aware that there would be some things to watch for. We were told by almost every one who ever travelled there that if you did not go 5 Star then you would be disappointed. They were right. This resort was promoted as a 4.5 star. Not true. While the beach was beautiful, and the food was actually good, the resort itself was in disrepair. I understand that they were recovering from a very severe hurricane, howeve [... read more]r, some things should be up to standard before you open your doors to paying customers. The rooms were atrocious. Rails hanging loose from walls. Nails holding other things up, nails that are sticking out of the wall an inch or more. Dents in walls, heating controls hanging out, lights that won't shut off, and mosquitos by the dozens in our room. Dead bugs squished on the wall and ceilings. Also, it was promoted as all inclusive, with a daily stocked fridge. Again, not true. One bottle of water for two people, in 30 degree heat is not sufficient. Mind you, this water was also for brushing you teeth. If you wanted more you had to bring your bottle to the bar or restaurant to refill. No new fresh bottle. Also, if there was one can of beer in the fridge you were lucky. The staff were friendly, but the service was very inconsistent. We sat in the main bar one evening, and waited almost an hour for service, as staff walked by. On our last day there, while eating lunch, I found a dead fly in my food. That was the final straw. I would not recommend this resort. In fact, it has totally soured me on travelling to Cuba ever again.

Fantastic Memories!!

Loved our time at this resort. Check in was smooth - only hiccup was that they put 2 out of our group of 7 in a section10 that was run down and far away from others. Rectified the next day, but not without a little argument from Karen at the front desk. A/C did not work in one of our groups rooms but they survived ;) Section 6 was perfect otherwise. Snack [... read more] bar was a great place to spend lunch. Cannot express how beautiful the beach is - large, not crowded and absolutely stunning. Would go back to this resort for this reason alone. We were early risers, so we had no problem getting a palapa, but those who get up past 7am were forced to pay the workers to "reserve" spots. Wasn't a fan of this practice. Staff were lovely All in all we would love to go back in 2019!!

Very clean rooms with awesome views. Staff can not do enough for you. Great people. Grounds are very clean. Food is OK Always found something to eat. Great entertainment team, always doing something all day long Great value for your money

Beautiful resort!

Love this resort so much. It was our first time in cuba and it won't be our last. The staff are wonderful people. Very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean everyday. The food was not the best but I never went hungry. Memories had the most beautiful beach and the pool always had lots of activities going on. Can't wait to go back.

Best Resort -Love This Place

We’ve been to Cuba 13 times now, in several different areas, and have discovered this resort a couple of years ago. This was our third trip there and it continues to amaze us. The layout of the resort is perfect...you’re close to almost everything. The beach is the nicest we’ve ever seen, the food is very good and, more importantly, the staff is totally amazing!! We will definitely be back here again

A Top Pick!!

We traveled with a group of friends to Memories Flamenco the last week of March. This was my 8th trip to Cuba and 2nd time to Cayo Coco. Memories Flamenco rates as one of the top resorts we have stayed at in Cuba for the following reasons: 1. Short transfer time to and from airport (15 to 20 minutes) 2. Clean rooms 3. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort

The resort is just the right size. 10 building with 3 stories each. Approx 60 rooms in each building. Not gigantic like some resorts and you have to take trains or golf carts to get around. Probably the largest and best beach I have ever seen. Still working on the grounds to get it back pre hurricane last September and it will be an ongoing project for sometime. Food is as good as you can get in Cuba. (my 6th different resort) Staff is awesome and make the visit great. I will be back !

Very nice resort, amazing beach and good food.

We have never been to Cuba before. We had our reservations about where to go in Cuba, we felt that we did quite well by choosing Memories Flamenco. The staff was very courteous, pleasant and appreciative. We enjoyed the a la carte restaurants, the buffet was good but all the food was only luke warm, so we tended to have our meals grilled or made for us at the specialty areas. Absolutely loved Rigo in the breakfast buffet every morning, always had a huge smile on his face and a song to sing for y [... read more]ou. Mattresses need replacing but the rooms were quite adequate. We had a great time for a very reasonable price! We also found that tips were not expected and very much appreciated at this resort, very different to some resorts we have visited.

Great Resort

Went last week and our room was great! Nice and big and most of all clean. Staff was really friendly and the beach was amazing and food was better than expected especially if you went to the grill stations

AMAZING BEACH!!

Keeping in mind the hurricane on Nov/17.. this property was actively working hard to restore their grounds. We found the rooms to be “tired” and our mattress REALLY needed replacement. A Fresh coat of paint would make a world of difference. There seems to be a discord between staff...one department blaming other department. We paid for “Diamond Club “upgrade which included minibar replenish each day which it wasn’t and when inquiring why housekeeping said they ran out of supplies.  [... read more]This went on for 4days while other rooms in our group received replenishes. Would recommend Buildings 2,3,4 top floor Ocean view. As a “Perk”of “Diamond Club” our a la carte dinners were pre booked....but at 5:30 for two and 8:30 for one.....Not our preferred times. We would have preferred to choose our own dinner times and restaurants. The Food.....well it’s CUBA so it was very much lacking flavour. The Diamond Club Beach Bar and Snack Hut were GREAT! Amazing place

love this place sec time there people are so wonderful very friendly food was great had lots of fun in sportsbar beach is lovely went with group of 10 they set tables for us at lunch and dinner everyone came home happy and said they would go back

While the beach was incredible I would rate this place to be a 3/5. There were some good and some not so good things. If you truly don't care about anything but weather and beach - GO! If overall cleanliness of facilities DOESEN'T bother you - GO. All of the resort public bathrooms are disgusting! - and usually lacking toilet paper. Guest room bathrooms riddled with BLACK MOLD and a shower that is so old that the faucet is hanging out of the wall! And our room was a renovated room.  [... read more] The staff were much friendlier than the last time I was in Cuba (Veradero). However, if you don't want to feel like every staff member is anticipating a tip from you for EVERYTHING - DON"T GO!! If you want windows open to enjoy the ocean breeze off your ocean view room - DON'T GO! (Unless you like fighting mosquitos that have been interrupting your sleep for a few hours and as you eliminate them, 1 by 1, you realize the pint of blood all over your wall and ceiling is YOUR BLOOD!) Also, even with the AC set to 20C, the humidity would seep in due to the sliding door of the balcony not closing properly. The last night I crawled into bed and discovered that my bed was soaked in condensation. Food & Beverage: The cheese selection and cold cuts at the buffet were awesome! The house red is quite nice as well. Enjoyed it with the cheese. The seafood presentation was very nice, but disappointing in flavor. The fresh fish is excellent, as were the chicken tacos. The buffet basically had the same food every night. Thankful for salt. The Snack Bar is open 24 hrs. The pizza is safe. In the evening the "Cuban" dinner is really good. Wish I had discovered this earlier. The "Italian" a la carte had no idea that they could create some amazing meals with the cheese they had access to. Stick with the spaghetti. The service was good and the view was nice. The chocolate mousse wasn't bad. The Mediterranean a la carte was worse. We felt so rushed and managed even though the place was 70% empty. Our food was terrible!! Ended up eating something at the snack bar later. Cutlery and place mats were generally dirty more often then not at the buffet and snack bar. Also, the meat is very tough and all they have are butter knives - accept for the Italian restaurant. GO TO THE LOBBY BAR!!!!! Morning and night!!! They make the best mixed drinks as well as having espresso in the morning. I brought my own tea bags. Other Stuff: My husband needed the Doctor to get a weekly shot administered. He was very pleased with the service he received. Friendly and professional. There was a small fee of $5 Cuban but well worth it. Moron - If you go into the city there are several beggars. Some will try to convince you they recognize you because they work at your resort. (They all know the wrist bands of the different resorts). They will tell you they just had a baby and are going to be off for 5 days. Could you please give them some money so they can buy - this or that... Just ignore them. There is a very long causeway to get to Moron. On the Cayo Coco side there is the best Pina Colada you will ever have! Lovely scenery as well. Only take Canadian currency - NO AMERICAN!! You must change your money at the airport or hotel (8:30 - 4:30). Get lots of small bills. Exchange is about the same as U.S. We spent about $300 in tips for the week. It adds up quickly.
