Pullman Cayo Coco

The view from the lobby was amazing, we could see the pool area and the ocean.. I went with a group of girls we enjoyed having a before dinner drink in the lobby. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was cleaned every day and water and drinks were left for us in the room. We had a nice cotton house coat to put on after our showers. The food was the best I have ever had in Cuba. I liked the Japanese restaurant the best. The resort is mid sized and I enjoyed having a shuttle to take  [... read more]me back and forth to my room. My walking is limited to short distances so it was very helpful to have the shuttle. The only problem was sometimes the shuttle took a long time to come. It was very windy so we did not get too hot. Not sure if it is normally windy. We were in Varadero last year at the same time and I do not recall it being this windy. As far as Cuba I would give this hotel a 5 star.

Amazing

This was the best resort I been in Cuba. The food was amazing, alot of selection. The layout was well thought out and everything is near by. Definitely will return to this resort. Highly recommended. It is close to the airport, which is a plus.

Great time at the PULLMAN....

If you're looking for a resort that's new, has great food, a lovely beach and pool but most of all fantastic staff, well this is the resort for you. I've been to Cayo Coco and Cayo Guillermo over twenty times and this resort is impressive. The Pullman's design and layout is very modern with lovely decor.The first thing you will notice when you enter the lobby is the amazing panaramic view of the pool and ocean. To the left is the reception area where you'll be greeted with a smile(Yaquelin, [... read more]Naima,to name a few). Always ready to help out in any way they can. Across from the reception is the long lobby bar. It has a large variety of drinks that are served by a wonderful team of bartenders(Daibel, Nelson, Serguey, Ismel, Maikel, Ebert...). If you're looking for a bartender that serves great drinks and has a great sense of humour, look for Daibel or Serguey. We were a group of 10 that stayed in the Collection, the adults only section.It was the first week of Oct.during Hurrican Matthew and luckily we were spared and it just passed by. The GM (Mr. Renaux) that opened this resort, was very professional during this time. He made us feel safe by keeping us up to date and being seen everywhere throughout the resort. I'm sure the management team never slept during this time and I'm very grateful there was a plan in place for our safety and I thank them, and all the staff for a job well done! The Collection suites are a touch of class, bright and spacious with modern decor.Yamilet, our chamber maid kept our room sparkling clean and made sure we had everything we needed. The mini fridge was stocked daily with water, soda and beer. I can't think of one thing that wasn't in our room that would've made our stay more enjoyable. The toothbrushes and the magnifying mirror was a bonus. I loved the walk in rain shower, very modern,and the location of the tub(right beside the folding doors that open up to the bedroom/ lounge area). 24hrs a day, there was someone in the lobby at the Collection to help you in any way. They will also exchange money for you.The staff at the Collection are fabulous!(Ana, Lizdian, Yoenky,Lazaro, Amaury, Leonel, Carlos, Roy, Alcides,Adianez, Jose and the rest of the staff). Great food, a view and an outside patio,the Gourmet Restaurant in the Collection will not disappoint.(shrimp cocktail, lobster, creme brulee...).The 24hr snack bar served grilled chicken, gourmet hamburgers, salmon, club sandwiches, salads and a variety of specialty drinks. Couldn't ask for more, something for everyone, day or night.The pool area is beautiful with lots of balinese beds and loungers. We never had a problem finding shade anytime of the day, but it was the off season.The beach bar for the Collection area is not built yet but the main one is not far away. The one and only disappointment during the week was all the English music being played in the Collection area. The Christmas music had us all chuckling at one time or another.There wasn't one member of the staff in the Collection that didn't partake in making our vacation a memorable one.The lovely Yudy made everyone of us feel special. She's a gem! Wilbur and his fantastic entertainment team(Yugardy, aka Jimmy and Gerardo, to name a few) will keep you smiling and entertained. Every week there's a foam party in the main pool. It's a blast so don't miss it. Fun for ALL ages! The main buffet is the best I've seen and you can't beat Tuesday's lobster night. If you have young children, you have nothing to worry about. Yeisy, Yanelis and Genny are three fantastic and fun girls that will make sure your kids will have fun and be taken care of. There's also a disco on site, always someone from the entertainment team there, to dance or have a nice,lovely chat. Ask the lovely Oriesmy to make you a Miami Vice,they're great! Loved my room and the food was the best. Fantastic pools and beach. I think this resort is romantic for couples and familys. Cant wait to go back. Could you please forward this to them as I will be booking with you again and again and want the same room. THANKS Donna from HAMILTON ON.

Best Cuban resort yet!!

Went as a group trip, 2 families consisting of 4 adults and 3 children aged 8, 7, 4. Resort and grounds are beautiful, clean and fresh and modern, lots of pools and activities to choose from, entertainment could be better for kids but it was low season when we went. Adult entertainment was great, especially the aqua ballet...best show I've seen in the Caribbean!! Beach was raked and cleaned daily even when it was red flagged. Staff was excellent regardless if you tipped or not, but appreciative  [... read more]and gracious if you did tip. Here's the best part....the food was outstanding!!! Lobster in the buffet once a week, amazing! Freshly cooked food stations with little to no lineup. Nice touches like heart shaped omelettes. Lots of choices of well seasoned and fresh food!! A La cartes were delicious and served hot, even accommodating for kids fussy tastes!! Excellent birthday celebrations with cake and singing and lights low!! Drink selection was great!! Rooms were clean and well appointed. We would certainly and likely will return and have also shared our opinions with others looking to book! Great service from booking to everything in between to Mernie at tripcentral..coupons and discounted overnight hotel stays before trip or park and fly coupons!! Always have and always will book with tripcentral, they even cross referenced our trip to coordinate room selection with the other family travelling with us...always great customer service!!

Amazing Resort.

We were pleasantly surprised with our first trip to Cuba. The hotel was beautiful. Although parts of the hotel are still under construction, this did not take away from the atmosphere. We didn't have a bad meal while there. All the food was well cooked, tasty and plentiful. The rooms were clean and spacious.

Beautiful resort and an AMAZING beach

My daughter & I did a mother/daughter trip & I picked the Pullman, Cayo Coco from Oct. 8th-15th, 2016. I could not have picked a better resort for this trip. My first 3 things I look for when booking a trip are BEACH, DINING & ROOMS. Beach was AMAZING, tractor picked up seaweed from the night before, the water was sooooooooooo warm. Now remember we went to this resort when Cuba was having the Hurricane Michael, so we were affected in a small way, a couple days of high waves, but we were sti [... read more]ll able to swim in it. One day overnight lots of rain, went to beach in the morning & started to rain again so we ended back in our room for some down time. By 2:00 we were back at the beach enjoying it until 6:30 . So I believe that day was basically part of a tropical storm which didn't really affect us. The view from the lobby is SPECTACULAR. Guests always taking pictures as well as us. We did not see anybody with disappointment on their faces. Dining wasn't spectacular, we really enjoyed the Japanese & French, didn't go to the Creole as we heard a lot of people didn't enjoy it :(. The smell around the Creole was very nasty (this should really be looked into). I had an omelet every morning for breakfast, where my daughter had toast & thankfully she brought her own peanut butter, so basically she had this every morning for breakfast. The only buffet I really enjoyed was Monday as it was close to a Thanksgiving Dinner - the ham was sooooooooo delicious. Really disappointed there was only bacon two mornings but had to get it put on the cooker while my omelet was being cooked. ALSO really enjoyed the ice cream. DISAPPOINTED that there was no FRESH fruit or vegetables (was this because of the Hurricane?) My daughter & I drink a lot of water and found that only 1 large bottle was supplied in our fridge each day, well we probably drink at least 2 of these each a day or more. We did not starve & thankful that we were able to do this trip together. Rooms cleaned everyday but no towel art, we missed this as it really adds to your stay away from home. Loved the showers, always hot water, never had a problem with that. Also loved that we could get movies in English, we went to sleep every night watching a movie on timer. The bed were okay but glad to get home to our own beds. ALSO our West Jet representative, I believe his name was Odin, was hardly ever there, I know this doesn't represent anything with your doing, but hopefully West Jet would look into this, the other reps were always there. We waited one day for over an hour as we wanted to book a trip to Pilar Beach, another rep called him & he said he would be there in 15 min. well we waited another 1/2 hr. no show. We wanted to book through another rep. but they talked us out of it/I guess stepping on someone's toes. So because of this we got to enjoy the Pullman Beach that x day & loved it. Every time I exchanged money I didn't have to sign anything, but every time my daughter did, she had to sign a piece of paper - would like to know why? ALSO the West Jet book should be left out so every one can read things in it, not hidden behind the desk. Suggestion have a clothes line hanging over bathtub for people that wish to wash out their bathing suits, there is no place to hang our items when we wash them out, we had to be creative!!! Every morning we went to the lobby & enjoyed a white coffee with Baileys & a scone before breakfast (Love this). Bathrooms in lobby ran out of water in the sink, had to use the wheelchair sink to wash up, no biggie, at least we had a place to do this. Maybe have hand sanitizer in bathrooms when this happens & you won't get a lot of the guests complaining. STAFF are AMAZING, loved the lobby bar STAFF each & every one of you. Can't wait to see u all again. I realize that this resort is only 8 mths old, so can't wait for the grounds to mature. Hopefully I will be able to bring my husband here so he can really see how amazing this resort is. We didn't do the entertainment only the ballet in the pool - AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! Would I return to this resort - in a heart beat. The rating I would give this resort is 4.5, just the smell & food (buffet). the REST AMAZING :). p.s. only used the pool once, as we were there for the beach :), but what we saw they were amazing, lots of people using them! ALSO the owner took his time to stop and say 'hello', pleasant surprise, never had this done before :).

Best Resort ever stayed in

I don't usually say that I would go to the same resort twice but this one i would go again for sure. The people, the food, area, room, pool, entertainment....was ALL GOOD. I'm certain that if the hurricane wouldn't have passed by, the beach would have been more beautiful. I will have to go again just to see it. I would recommend this resort to my friends. Can't wait to go back.

Paradise in Cayo Coco!!

There was a group of 10 of us that travelled Sept.30-Oct.7/16. The hotel is only 20 min from the airport which is great. The Lobby is on the second floor which overlooks the pools and ocean...stunning view when you arrive...We were in the Collection section (Adults Only) which was simply amazing. We had our own pool that was surrounded by large comfortable sunbeds...a bar that served premium liquor...snack bar 24 hrs...Gourmet restaurant..and a Conceirge available 24/7.... The food was really g [... read more]ood at all the restaurants...the staff were also awesome..very friendly..always smiling....the rooms were spacious and kept very clean...the pools are very nice and the beach was great...never had a problem finding shade.... We can't wait to go back....it's our New Favourite Hotel !!

Wow

Amazing Resor

Great vacation pool was great and dining was fine on al carte The Adults only pool was a bonus and the restaurants surrounding and the cocktail bars. Would recommend to friends. Great vacation at the Pullman!

Pullman Cayo Coco....What a great time !!!!!

Our first visit to Pullman Cayo Coco and it was great. The resort, which opened in December 2015, is beautiful. Activities and entertainment go on during the day and especially at night where you'll always find music to listen to and enjoy. The Pullman has 24 hour bars and restaurants so you can always find something to drink and eat. The Collection area of the hotel is perfect to get away from it all...........An adults only section with your own restaurant and lobby bar and a 24 hour bar/ [... read more]snack area where the food is fantastic. THe rooms are spacious and clean and the only downfall in our Collection room was the fact that there were no electrical outlets in the vanity/sink area which made it a little inconvenient. All in all, a great place to spend your vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing resort

loved this resort. even though we were there during hurricane Mathew, we had a wonderful time. our group were 12 had a great time. lots to do so we were not in each others pockets. rooms, beach, bars, restaurants both buffet and al a carts were great. this resort is still under constuction with 4 more buildings in various levels of completion. there is also room for much more. i dont know what the final plan is. although the service is very good, they do need more wait staff in the buffe [... read more]t and the lunch buffets. the ones that are there are very friendly and efficient. there is even one young lady in the lunch buffet that sings all the time and has a very nice voice. i was told by other staff that she is like that all the time and is a very happy person. even though we were there during hurricane Mathew, we were very well informed,well looked after and protected. they took all precautions for our safety. we will go there again in the probably not to distant future.

Good resort

The grounds are beautiful. Beach is long and narrow. We had no issues finding a palapa. However can't imagine what it will be like once the resort is fully finished. Buffet service was not very good. Service was lacking. You had to ask for coffee, water or wine. They rarely came around to ask if we needed anything.

Beautiful resort

Was really impressed with the resort. The service was fantastic and the people were as beautiful as always. The food was really good. Lots of variety and the a la carte restaurants were great. We were down there during hurricane Matthew and we were so impressed with the care they took in making sure we were all safe and secure. The manager himself oversaw the whole situation. Would go back there in a heartbeat.

What a week!

We arrived on September 30th and were immediately greeted by one of the fine people working at the resort. The place was stunning...everywhere you looked there was beauty. The 3 pools were always the right temperature and the wet bar always made fantastic drinks. For the buffett meals there was plenty to choose from...whatever you fancied it was there. My family had a fantastic time and plan on returning to the same place at the same time next year! I give rhis resort and its staff a 10/10!!!!

Wonderful vacation!

The Pullman is a recently built Hotel in Cayo Coco. The feel is modern and the service is very good. The food execed pour expectations for Cuba. The rooms are clean and kept clean by the staff who makes sure you have what you need. Hurricane "Matthew" was in the vacinity when we were there and we must say that the staff and direction were exemplary in how this was delt with. They made us feel safe without making us feel our vacation was over! Finally we didn't even get a rain storm, fiew!! The [... read more] beach is beautiful and the drinks yummy! The lobby is "the" place to be at happy jour, the view of the ocean is always spectacular. Tried out the gym equiped with new machines. Got a massage at the spa, thank you Lula and Kiam for this relaxing moment for my husband and I!

Fantastic staff & service

Great resort with small but very nice rooms. Excellent meals & great service by the friendly staff. Enjoyed the nightly entertainment, gym was small but equipment was new & up to date. Great activities for everyone. Wilber at beach bar was amazing with his bartending skills, one of my favourite places to hang out. Loved the resort, would definitely go back again.

The rooms where big and large clean. The grounds where well maintained and the people where very friendly. Amazing resort would recommend to my friends. Have taken many pictures cause the resort was beautiful
