Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Lovely resort

The hotel is small and compact. I found it to be very clean and found the staff had a lot of pride in the hotel. Lots of food choices and very tasty. It is a bit dated and could use new cushions for the couches in the lobby but if you could overlook that then all else is good!

Melia Costa Rey: Good Vibes

Just got back from Pullman cayo coco with my husband. We had an amazing time. Everything was amazing. There were always activities going on through out the day. The pools were always clean. Only wish chairs were clean. Food was good but very salty. Please use less salt. Rooms were always clean. Amazing staff. Loved Mario from the beach bar. Amazing Ahmed. The twins were so friendly & lovely. Drinks were soooo good. Loved every night show in the theater. I will definetely come back

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Mixed Feelings

I stayed at Memories Flamenco Beach Resort the week of October 27, 2018. Sunwing was on time and we had a pleasant flight minus the hard landing. Upon arrival at the resort we were warmly received by Cuban dancers. The service desk acknowledged our presence but our room was not ready as we arrived prior to the 3 p.m. check in. Memories sits on a long stretch of a white sand beach which is shared with 3 other resorts. There were enough palapas for everyone but the hotel did not appear to be full. Since it rained most nights, the water was not always as crystal clear as we've become used to in Cuba but was pleasant none-the-less. Service - The staff were warm, friendly and eager to ensure that you enjoyed your stay whether you tipped them or not which was a pleasant change from other resorts we've been to in Cuba. We did tip but didn't feel the need too in order to get good service. Room - Rooms were very clean and spacious. Hot water was never an issue and the fridge was stocked with water, pop and beer daily. We were blessed to be placed close to the beach even though we weren't oceanfront. Property - The lay out of the hotel is quite nice. Everything is easy to access and in good condition. The grounds are well kept and the hotel appears to spray for mosquitos and other biting insects. However, I would still recommend that you walk with a bug spray. Family - This is a family friendly resort and the staff appear to go out of their way to be kind to the children. However, in all my years of travel I have to say I witnessed some of the rudest, most unruly and disrespectful children of tourist (from various countries) that I have ever seen (i.e. throwing cups on the ground when a garbage bin is in front of them; running up on the stage during performances (parents - you would never allow this at a theatre in your country and it was utterly disgusting to witness it here); calling a tourist who speaks another language an idiot when they were trying to help the child retrieve an item that floated away at sea were just a few examples that stood out. Food - Bland, buffet stations cold (no apparent warmers to keep food warm) so if you're not there when they put things out you should probably go to one of the hot stations. If you're a breakfast person bacon only appeared to be served 3 days of the week with sausage available most days, along with a variety of eggs, pancakes, bread, etc. Lunch - I'd recommend the snack bar, it has several options including pizza, sandwiches and fries. Dinner - I'd recommend that you head straight to the hot stations (pasta, fish, meats, fried rice, etc.) Check-out - To be honest, the biggest grievance of the trip. Our Sunwing flight home left at 10:50p.m. with checkout at noon. When we booked the flight, we were told to check with the front desk at the hotel to try and keep the room longer which we did upon our arrival. We were directed to return the morning of our departure to try & make the necessary arrangements to extend our stay which we did. We were told we could keep the room for 2 extra hours at $11 CUC / hour. We took it because we wanted some time on the beach but found this unfortunate as most of our last day was spent sitting in the lobby bar. I can appreciate that the chamber maids have an end to their work day but I think this could have been better coordinated with Sunwing. Apparently, "VIP package and return guests" are allowed to keep their rooms for a later check out without extra charge so you will have to assess whether or not this actually makes more sense for your travel party. I personally didn't see it worth the while. On top of which, the hotel sprayed for mosquitoes just before we left which drove all of them up to the lobby area. So after going 7 days with a few bites, we were eaten alive in the last 2 hours. Sunwing - Hard landing upon arrival. The Flight Attendants on the way down were fantastic. We did not find the Rep at the hotel in Cuba helpful at all. In fact we found him to be condescending until we put him in his place. The Reps on the tour bus to and from the hotel were fantastic. As were the Reps at the airport. Flights were on time for the most part (we had to de-ice before leaving Toronto). Exchange - A rip off. $50 Cdn = $34 CUC

Melia Costa Rey: Beautiful, clean resort!

My experience at the Pullman was amazing. I have been to Cuba many times and Pullman by far was the nicest resort I have stayed at. Wherever you go in Cuba you are guaranteed to meet the nicest, kindest people. I will be going back there really soon! Melia Jardines del Rey: Good place to visit

Second time visit within few years, resort represent good value for money spend. Amazing beach, awesome service, clean room and well kept grounds. Good but repetitive food, however at least 3-4 different types of fresh seafood every day and variety of fruits. Recommend.

Melia Cayo Coco: Trip #20 and still awesome!

Hotel is always looking to make improvements, maintenance staff are available and work hard to rectify any issues. Wait staff are amazing, friendly and alway happy to see you. Housekeeping do a spotless job. We met the new general manager, he introduced himself to us and appreciated our loyalty. We travelled early the fall so the resort was not full, finding sunbeds was not an issue.

Melia Cayo Coco: Relaxing Resort

Well maintained, needs some updating, on pool deck, grounds keepers good ! Needs beach bar& grill with some music. Maybe one night a week beach fire / party!!! Doors on ground level rooms needs sweep, has big gap. Too many bugs coming in rooms. I saw plenty ants& large bugs, Decko got in another room I’m told..

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Our Happy Place!

This was our second time, at this resort, in the past six months. The resort itself is very dated, however it's the people you go back to see. The workers, whether in the buffet, bar, maids, entertainment staff, are just fabulous. They are what make our vacation. We are looking forward to going back again next year!

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Amazing Resort

This is our second time at this fantastic resort. It is modern, clean with a great atmosphere. The staff were wonderful a special thank you goes out to Ilian, Ilen, Helen , Pedro and Yosmier for making our trip great. We love them and feel like they have become part of our family, and miss them already with there constant greetings and attentiveness to Michael whom has special needs. Melia Costa Rey: Great family vacation

We just spent a week at the Pullman and we enjoyed our stay. The resort was clean and the service was great. The food was decent for Cuba, and we always found something to eat. Would recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing vacation.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: The resort was acceptable.

The resort was very beautiful considering they had a hurricane last year. The room was very specious and clean. Our maid did an excellent job with all of decorations on the bed etc. We had an end unit in bungalow 2 and it was away from everything and the noise. The pool was a bit of a disappointment. We could not use the pool for one day since it was being cleaned. It was pretty green on the day we arrived and needed to be cleaned. The other two pools were not that great either. One  [... read more]of our friends fell through the grate beside the pool and had to visit the doctor. She was ok but had a pretty big bruise. Another person in our group got an swimmer ear infection. We did not use the beach very much as the water too rough and you could not walk in. We had a toddler in our group and she could not play in the water. There is no beach for walking. Lots of chairs to sit in but no one was using them. There where always a lot chairs at the pool as well. The food for the first few days was good and then it went down hill. I am not sure what happened. The main buffet was closed from October 30th until we left. They were painting and repairing. The reason we keep going back to Cuba is people. We have been to Cuba about 30 times and this resort has the best people. They are so friendly and they seem to enjoy working there and they remember everyone's names. It is like one big happy family. I hope Iberostar gets their act together and gives these people appropriate tools or these wonderful people will leave. Which would be such a shame. There was 11 of us and we were not feeling well through the week one way of another.

the staff was amazing...hotel very clean and nice...lobby chairs could be updated very dirty, beds comfortable, awesome shower, same food everyday but good, beach very nice but did have seaweed, maybe because of the hurricane

Melia Costa Rey: Great Vacation

Upon arrival at the Pullman, Cayo Coco, we were upgraded to the “Collection” from ocean view. We definitely enjoyed the perks associated with the upgrade, but we would have loved the Pullman anyway. Beautiful beach, lots of palapas, and the weather was gorgeous. The only minor disappointment was there was quite alot of sargasso for several days, which was wind related but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the beach and ocean. The hotel was lovely and the lounge area by the reception area was a favourite spot to hang out because of the fantastic view. We only ate at one a la carte, the gourmet, which was delicious, because we found the buffet had lots of different choices which appealed to us and we liked its convenience. We found the Pullman to be a pleasant surprise, recommended to us by a friend, and we would definitely return!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Not all that good yet

the grounds are nice, the rooms not so much, the beach is great, the food is the same day after day. The workers are the best, been there 5 times now it's got a long ways to go to improve. Each year it has gone down hill and food has never change.

This time was better then last time for me .They were fixing up some place and rooms but they were not close to were wen were.Some rooms were still needing to be fixed and brought up to par.The rooms were clean and big.the maids were very good at cleaning the rooms. Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Best Staff Ever

This is a beautiful resort with great amenities and incredible staff. They were so friendly and couldn't do enough for you. The pools are gorgeous except that the large, main pool was closed almost everyday......so no swim up bar! The beach is incredible and, just as the photos in the website depict, you take a long walk on a pier and use stairs to enter the ocean. Just a bit different but it doesn't change the beauty. The highlight of our trip was the exceptional staff and in particular the beach bar guy named Eudis. He made our stay so memorable and fun and he's such a great person and and amazing bartender. Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Horrible

My family and I have been to Cuba quite a few times. This was without a doubt the worst resort we've ever stayed at. Service, Food, Amenities, Beach were horrible. Save your money, go somewhere else in Cuba.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Absolute Paradise

I stayed at this resort from October 22-29 and enjoyed every minute. The resort and the grounds are beautiful. The beach is one of the best I've ever seen. Room was clean and spacious. For Cuba, the food was excellent. What really separates this hotel from others is the staff! Top notch in all areas! I'd highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning soon!

Hotel Mojito: Another great stay

I have stayed at this resort numerous times and this time was great again... There were a couple problems... Cigar bar still not opened... Al LA care at capacity every night... Power outage in Cayo Coco fir day and half... But overall great time
