Playa Costa Verde: Very nice well kept resort!

The grounds are very nice and the staff are amazing. They are very friendly and help out where they can. Some areas need some upgrades/repairs but overall a very nice place! The resort is not too large to get to know and the layout with the block houses is excellent!

Playa Pesquero: ANOTHER GREAT VISIT

We have just returned from PLAYA PESQUERO in Holguin Cuba , we were there from Nov15th to the 22nd with another couple. It was our fifth time to visit this resort and we still love it. I am never sure what it is that keeps calling us back. It doesn't have the best rooms or beach or food that we have ever experienced but The pool is certainly one of the largest and nicest we have encountered. Food at the a la cart restaurants was excellent , we ate at the Sea food.the Romantica .,the Gondola and  [... read more]the Carribean .and the service in these restaurants was absolutely amazing. Breakfast in the buffet was very good ,they have added more egg stations so there was no waiting for the delicious omelettes , Unfortunately the table service was very poor ,we always had to find someone to bring us water or coffee or cutlery and napkins. We had great lunches at Yareyal ,Caletones and Club Cubano but The lunch at the Latino buffet was just terrible , The staff was not ready when the buffet opened . The food was mainly leftovers from the previous day and the food that should have been hot was barely warm. We left and went elsewhere to eat. Despite my few complaints we still love PLAYA PESQUERO and will return again ,we always have a great time because of the wonderful staff members and the happy Cuban people

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Very nice place to stay, with one problem

The grounds, room, food, pools, drinks were all very good. The big problem was that the air conditioning system wasn't working. The nights were cooler most nights, so the patio door was left open, but 2 nights mosquitoes came in. Screens would be helpful!! I actually like the fresh air, unless it's very hot and humid, or there are mosquitoes!!

Playa Costa Verde: Home away from home

I have been to this resort twice now...once in the throes of Hurricane Sandy ( distasteful thought I know) but the employees here made it so fantastic even during that rough time that I just had to go back and make more memories. My second time was just recently and once again had the time of my life (brought my fiancee there for his first trip ever as well). They have a great variety of foods if you don't like certain ones you can go to the 24 hour snack bar and get more Canadian type foods. Th [... read more]e room itself was amazing HUGE comphy bed with a maid that was amazingly upbeat, cheerful and very good at her job. The overall trip was a sensation with my S/O and we plan on returning again in Feb 2017!!! its worth every penny for the stay and whatever exursion you wish to participate in.

Playa Pesquero: Nice resort.

This was the second time in 2 years. The only unexpected trouble this year was the swimming pool. The water was blurry, they said something about filters trouble, at one point you can't even see your feet at the bottom of the pool. The food was generally good.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Get what you pay for

The area is beautiful and the rooms were what I expected. There were four in our group and 1 out of 4 enjoyed the food. The entertainment staff made the trip for us, exspecially Yuny. Take the dance lessons if you have time, worth to effort. :)

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Tired and worn, needs some effective management.

Beach and ocean, beautiful and clean. Enough chairs, beach huts. Snorkelling good. 5* Pools, OK. 4* Staff and service. Friendly, helpful, and efficient, Very good. 4* Room clean, but needs upgrade, AC didn't work, old, hard bed, mosquitoes bad. 2* Food. Poor. 1* I've never had frozen vegetables and nuked lasagne at an al a carte before and the Caribbean shrimp cocktail came out of a can. Thailand?

Playa Pesquero: lots of walking but we like walking...

The air conditioning was a problem...we were in 5604...if we set the temp at 22-23 it ran all the time. If we set it at 25-26,it ran for 12-15 seconds,stopped and within the next 2-3 minutes it ran again. And the air blew directly on our faces in the bed. It also leaked water in the bathroom area (which was fixed).My friend came home very sick and has bronchitis and is on medication.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Awesome as always!

I have been to Club Amigo many times in the past. This was my second time over Halloween. The staff are fantastic and the beach is beautiful. I will keep going time and time again. Fantastic! If you are wondering how it is just go to the Facebook page for Club Amigo and see what people are posting. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Returning customer -- Love this place

People who work at this resort are amazing!! Always full of returning customers which speaks volumes. Beach is great! Disco is a ton of fun! Less than an hour from airport. I will definetely come back again

Brisas Guardalavaca: Best bang for the buck!

Great value from this beautiful venue, The service was great across the board. I did find that tipping was acknowledged and appreciated, although not expected. Lots of activities to entertain yourself without paying for any excursions. Great for all ages. Young or old there is something for everyone. For the money, you can't beat this place. Many other guests told me they have vacationed here for twenty to thirty times. I can see why! I travelled with a group the last week of October. The resort [... read more] was not busy at all during this time period. I would be curious to see if the service would be diluted when they operate at full capacity. It might be worth my while returning just to find this out!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great resort with the best beach I've ever been to

the rooms were clean and the maid was awesome,the resort is situated on guardalavaca beach beautiful sunsets .the locals are friendly and every sat night a big dance party beside the hotel my friend and I had a great night

My first time in Cuba and I will definitely be going back to this resort. The rooms are clean and the staff are helpful. I had heard the good in Cuba wasn't very good but this was not the case. Thank you Club Amigo.... See you in January!

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: First vacation of my life couldn't have been any

Really loved this resort, the people and staff where super friendly. The food was great and so was the accommodation's. Already planning to come back next year. Would recommend Blau Costa Verda to everyone. Thanks for an awesome vacation.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: A Wonderful Week At Blau Costa Verde

We were a group of 6 friends who stayed at Blau Costa Verde during the last week of October on a Hola Sun vacation. The Cubana flight was very basic (no movies), but a small meal was served in flight and a couple of the male attendants were having a wonderful time with the passengers and their dancing in the aisle was the best in-flight entertainment we've had in a while! There was a significant wait to check in upon arrival at Blau Costa Verde, mostly due to a couple of groups of difficult tra [... read more]vellers who questioned every little thing the desk clerks did. The hotel itself is one of the nicer ones we've stayed in in Cuba – note that it is worth every cent to upgrade to the Plus section. Our block of rooms (buildings 16 & 17) was very close to the Plus section pool with pool bar as well as the beach and a cute little ranchon restaurant. The Plus rooms were superior by Cuban standards, notably, a glass shower with plenty of water pressure and hot water, air conditioners that worked well and a comfortable bed. Housekeeping, as we've always found in Cuba, was outstanding. The hotel staff were outstanding from Adam in the VIP bar who juggled bottles of rum for us to lovely Sonnelly who went out of her way to help us every time we asked. It seemed that the staff all had a high level of training in English so communication was easy. The buffet food was so-so being served in an outdoor restaurant temporarily until the indoor buffet renovations are completed, however the a la carte meals were much better and well worth booking (as Plus patrons we got 4 a la cartes each). The only room for improvement would be repairing/replacing the public washroom locks throughout the complex, adding staff to keep the washrooms clean during busy times, repairing all of the balcony locks (none of ours worked properly), and adding screening or netting to the buffet stations to keep the flies and birds off the food. We would definitely return to this hotel to stay in the Plus section again.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Truly amazing!

This resort is the best resort we have traveled to in Cuba! Amazing grounds and beaches, rooms, food and service, we could not have asked for a better vacation. Thank-you Paradisus Rio de Oro and Tripcentral for an amazing vacation!

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Good value for your dollar

We stayed at this hotel October 16-23, 2015. I've been to Cuba 7+ times previously, so no surprised really! The hotels about 60 minute bus ride from the airport, so make sure you hit the bathroom prior to leaving the airport, its long and boring! The hotel itself is nice and clean with friendly staff. (Not sure if the hotel has new management, lots of changes happening while we were there) We paid for the ocean view, worth every penny, we were over looking the pool bar Mares side (busier/louder) [... read more], Luna side is very quiet, but you have access to both. The beach is beautiful, some shade available. While there, they un-veiled the new lobby bar, very nice. They did have a white night themed party, which is fun, but it wasn't advertised anywheres, and luckily we had all white clothing, most guest dressed up, which made it really fun! The food, well its not the worst I've experienced, but it def was not the best. Lots of variety, but the same variety everyday, it good boring REALLY fast. Best meals, pool bar/24hour bar, trust me! (breakfast to supper) Only resort that has vendors everyday, which is nice. Your only a short cab ride away from market with over 40 different vendors, 15 pesos return, with most cabbies. *REMEMBER - Don't be afraid to haggle prices with cabbies or vendors. Also you will be approached by a guy on the beach to sell you vacation packages... its best to purchase them from your representative, safer etc. I would go back, but I'd love to try a different island for our next vacation!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Simply the best

We had an absolutely fantastic time at this resort. Everything is top notch and the service and food were superb. Tripcentral had free park and fly and from the time we got to the airport to the time we got home, we had no complaints.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Fabulous!

Awesome place. They are improving on their maintenance. The Cuban people are kind generous and helpful. The ala carte restaurants were excellent. Many little bars, tea area, cappuccino area hidden within the resort. As a always check your change because they can try to give regular pesos. Get a receipt and have your calculator at hand when exchanging money because it is not always accurate. They will take USD but it costs them 20 cents on the dollar to exchange so they prefer CUCs.
