Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Better than I expected

In fairness, this was the first time we stayed at a multi pool holiday complex. So it was much busier than we expected. The wifi did not work which has resulted in me spending a lot on data because I have to stay in touch with an aging parent daily. That would prevent me from ever going back. The people were very nice and the room was clean. Although there were a number of items broken including the jacuzzi jets which flooded our room on the first day. The food wasn't great but we were able to g [... read more]et decent breakfast at the privelege restaurant. For the money it was fine, but as mentioned above I would not return because of the difficulty with communicating back home.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: So So

The resort is pretty new so the grounds are very barren still. Otherwise ,it is pretty and fairly clean. Upon arrival we had no towels, nothing in our mini bar (including no water to drink),and the safe did not work. Nothings was rectified until the following day . This was very frustrating. I had to buy an open bottle of water from a women on the front desk so I could have a little drinking water in my room. The beach is second to none . Amazing.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Beautiful Cuban Vacation!

We had a great week at Valintin Perla Blanca! April 5-12. Rooms were exactly what we expected as per pictures on the internet. We did have a day or two with just warm water in the shower but otherwise it was very hot. Rooms were clean. We were in building 26. Perfect location to pool/beach and lobby/buffet. Beds are very firm. Always had beer and water in our fridge. Beach was beautiful!! Pool was nice. We spent a lot of time at the activities pool when we were not at the beach. We didn't make  [... read more]it to the quiet pool. Food was ok. Italian al la carte was pretty yummy. Chicken fingers at the 24hr snack bar are a must try. Always eggs and toast and usually bacon in the mornings. Drinks were all good including the coffee if you like it strong. We had a great week of relaxation!

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Grand Memories Santa Maria Awesome Resort

I read a lot of reviews before booking our trip to Grand Memories,Santa Maria. I want to thank Jenn Black from Tripcentral she answered all my questions and made my booking very easy. So upon getting to Grand Memories with very low expectations, we were greeted by an adorable Concierge by the name of Luis Milian, He was very professional and welcoming. He took us to our room and what a surprise the room was beautiful, he made sure our room was cool and clean. We had the Pool View(Should have b [... read more]ooked the Ocean View) Our maid was Aleida and she was wonderful, she left us a swan made out of Blankets and fresh flowers everyday(I left her some gifts as well) The bar on the beach was ultimately the BEST Lisandra the bartender was so sweet I couldn't get enough of her, she made me laugh everyday!!!!!!!! We met so many new friends there it was unreal, the hour and 30 minute bus ride was a killer, but the drinks made up for it when we arrived at the hotel. The A La Carte dinners were good, the Buffet was very bland and seemed to be the same food everyday- I kinda starved because I didn't like the taste of the food!!!! *******On a side note---Don't forget Peanut Butter, Jam and Hot sauce. OH AND SPF 60 yes 60 the Sun is sooo strong I burnt severely on the first full day and had to go to the Clinic..*******The pool is Beautiful and the Entertainment around the Pool was Awesome big shout out to Yanet. We are already planning next years vacation and will be at the Grand Memories Santa Maria & will be booking with Jenn Black again... The only downfall with the trip was it was too short, we will go for 10 days next year. Manager Estaban was a total sweetheart!!!! Luis Milian was too!!!! My favorite person there was Lisandra Beach Bar- Cant wait to go back and see her !!!!!!!!! The People that work at this resort are so sweet and welcoming, they should be congratulated !!!!!

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Exactly what we hoped for!

First, to anyone hating on Cuba.... BOOO The Warwick is a beautiful resort! The workers work so incredibly hard. From gardeners to maids to bar tenders. They all work so hard to make your stay amazing! We actually sat and watched the cleaning ladies in the main lobby onemorning. Extremely thorough! Food was above Cuba Average! The only small disappointment was the beach. Small and rocky, but nothing they can do to change Mother Nature! Loved our visit and would highly recommend.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amqazing Vacation

Iberostar Ensenachos Is the most beautiful resort we have visited. The grounds are very well maintained, lush and beautiful. The staff is incredible they go above and beyond to make your stay amazing. The accomidations are well kept up and your every need is met with a smile.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great resort

Pros: - Nice grounds - decent food - amazing beach - nice rooms - good shows - very friendly staff - junior suite is very roomy - short walk to any place in the resort - artists in the lobby every night - if you have any problem in your room - you get assistance very fast Cons to consider: - long drive - 1.5 hours at the night and 2 hours during the day time. - waiting line to enter the buffet in the morning if you come around 9 am or later - no self-serve snack bar (only full serv [... read more]ice) - if you want chop sticks at the Japanese restaurant - bring it with you :-) - ask about size of entrees - nobody warned us at the Italian restaurant that the pizza as entree was full size (!!!) and not the slice! - people are taking lounge chairs at the pool and the beach even though did not appear for half-day. We were lucky to always find chairs at the beach though - old style a/c in the room - the cold stream can't be directed away from your bed. May be it is nice in the July, but in April we just turned off the a\c while being in the room

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Absolutely stunning

Got home from Ocean Cass del Mar last sat and have been extremely busy to write a review .So today I had some time first off I'm gonna say this is an amazing resort .We enjoyed every min of our vacation .Even though this is a fairly new resort the grounds are absolutely beautiful the gardeners have worked so hard to make this place a gem .The pools I'd say are extremely beautiful always plenty of chairs to be had .Their is no need to get up early and put your towel out .Actually made me kinda ma [... read more]d one day as I seen 8 chairs being taken by towels all day and no one their the whole time .Really if your gonna to this make sure your their to enjoy the pool .The stafff at Ocean Casa Del Mar will go out of their way to make your stay absolutely stunning .We got the pleasure to chat with a few and I can say we walked away with some good friends .Yunier and Pape were amazing right from day one .The other 2 girls at the pool bar were amazing as well .One afternoon we were getting a drink made and my husband recognized a girl working behind the counter he says where have we meet her before we'll be had the pleasure of meeting her 3 years ago at another resort .Way to go Ocean Casa Del Mar for getting such an outstanding person to come work you she is absolutely wonderful ( Yireni Rodriquez ).Your staff make this place really feel like home .The food was delicious we never went Hungary .The beach is stunning and plenty of room for everyone .The entertainment team was absolutely wonderful as well they sure like to get people involved in the activities I had the pleasure of participating it was a great afternoon .I could go on and on ,so folks if your looking for a great vacation spot Ocean Casa Del Mar is the place to go you will feel like your truly at home .We have already decided that we will be returning next year .

Valentin Perla Blanca Paraiso: Beautiful Resort

The resort was modern and beautiful! We loved the small pool it was quiet and great bartenders! Beaches were lovely, there was a big beautiful beach with a lobster lunch, the middle beach was smaller but really lovely and the gentleman kept bringing us good drinks 😊 Food overall was good! Loved the French restaurant. Overall it was a good resort 😊

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful getaway

The Golden Tulip in Cayo Santa Maria was a beautiful place to spend our vacation. The staff were very lovely, the grounds were well kept, and the food was great (considering thats not on the checklist for Cuba). Buffet was better than the a la cartes! Beach was beautiful of course, rooms were clean, and the fridge was stocked daily! After thoughts, more pool/beach activities would be nice, just a little night life would be a hit!

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: LOTS OF INFO ABOUT FOOD

Ok so let's talk about this beautiful place! Beach 100% fabulous! My bed was hard as Cuba beds are all over the country. I bring a small air mattress weighs only 3 lbs; a good investment. Room was clean and bright with A/C, fridge, nice closet and a decent shower. Now FOOD; I always hear about the food....really? It's a buffet with SO many choices. Don't be afraid to think out of the box, they encourage it. Bring those fresh peppers and cheese over to the pasta man...make your own dish...be cr [... read more]eative! I Loved making breakfast; toasted bacon and tomato sandwiches with their yummy mayo, sometimes I added a fried egg for a messy delight. The salad bar was AWESOME...I made my own blue cheese dressing (mayo and blue cheese). Don't be shy! Don't worry about going to Starfish Cayo Santa Maria...we LOVED IT☺

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Nice resort, but needs improvements

My husband and I stayed at the Ocean Casa del Mar from March 31-April 11, 2017. First impression was that this resort had everything we were looking for. Its fairly new and lobby was spacious, bright and had a view of the water, very picturesque. When we booked our trip we were told we had the "Privilege package" which gave us certain perks. Nice! Well when we got to the resort we were told to go to the "privilege" line up that it would be quicker. Wrong, it was total chaos. The people checki [... read more]ng us in had no idea where some of our check in information was, they could not find our packages with our keys. Finally after about an hour or so of waiting we get to our room and we didn't have a shower. Apparently the "privilege" rooms have jacuzzi tubs and no shower. We complained and they finally gave us a new room with a shower which was great but we had a leak in the closet and after 3 days of complaining about the leak they changed us to another room. We had no hot water and the hairdryer burnt out on me. It took them quite a while to resolve the issue and our fridge was completely empty for 3 days. I had to ask our maid if I could get some water and she supplied it for me. By Friday April 7th I was in my room at 11:40pm in bed when I heard some guests coming down the hall and stopped right at my door and were able to get in with a key that reception had issued them. Imagine my surprise!!! My keys no longer worked and the next morning reception told me that I had "checked out". How could I have checked out if I was suppose to be there till Tuesday April 11th. They issued me new keys and never apologized or greeted us with a smile. I told our Hola Sun rep. about our experience and she was very apologetic and tried to see if she could rectify some of the issues but there is only so much she can do. The Hola Sun rep. did tell me that the management people are the issue at the resort and I have to agree. Before I would even think about going back to this resort, I would have to be reassured that it is under new management. The food was good and the a la carte restaurants were also good. The servers were quite friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean and the grounds were well kept. lots of seating areas in the lobby and around the pools. The beach is great! I have mixed emotions about this resort because of my experience and privilege really didn't mean a whole lot there. It was never really explained what was included in the privilege package and the management team had no clue as to what to tell us. If someone decides to go to this resort, make sure you ask for a room with a shower and whatever else you make require at the time of booking to save a whole lot of grief.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Mixed feelings about this one

We just returned from one week at the Oceans Casa Del Mar in Cayo Santa Maria. I can't give this resort the same resounding endorsement that I have given to other Oceans resorts though. On the negative side: - I found the food to be extremely disappointing, particularly in comparison to the Oceans resort in Veradero. I am not a picky eater but I found the buffet and the a la carte offerings were unappealing and at times, put me off food completely. - The system for accessing the a la  [... read more]carte restaurants is ridiculous. It is bad enough to not be able to plan a time to eat and make a reservation. When you do stand in line and get a table, you have the uncomfortable feeling of people lining up to get the next seat, sometimes peering through the windows to see if anything is opening up. Locking the doors and leaving guests outside wondering what is happening is not the way to deliver a satisfying meal experience. - In general, I felt the service was sub-par across the whole resort. Very few members of the staff made the extra effort to engage with the guests. In particular, many of the bartenders gave the impression that you were inconveniencing them by asking for a drink. There were a few exceptions, particularly the servers at Mike's coffee bar but in general, the experience of dealing with the staff was so different and so much less pleasant than other resorts, I was shocked. On the positive side, there were a few things: - As a pale skinned person who burns easily, I was thrilled to see plenty of loungers available with ample shade at both the pool and the beach. This is not often the case anywhere I go and it was really appreciated. -The quality of the entertainment that we took in was excellent. The dancing far amazing, particularly the Michal Jackson show. The performers have a lot of talent and the shows we saw were great.

Memories Paraiso: Beautiful Resort!

I just recently spent a week at the Memories Sanctuary Diamond Club in Cayo Santa Maria and it was spectacular!! Everything was perfect😁 All staff were amazing, very friendly and always waiting to assist in any way possible if needed! My room was kept very clean, and on my last evening there on returning to my room to get ready for the evening meal, my butler had drawn me a beautiful bubble bath filled with fresh flowers as a goodbye surprise!! Very touching. The food was great, I was pleas [... read more]antly surprised after reading some bad reviews. And the beach was the most amazing beach I have ever seen. The water was a beautiful turquoise and the sand was like baby powder!! The pool was also beautiful, and kept very clean. There were trolleys available to take you anywheres you chose to go, to the market, etc. The grounds were kept very clean and the flowers were beautiful. There were barbecue huts poolside and on the beach with amazing food! The resort also had poolside entertainment several times a day for the guests entertainment. The only downside to my whole vacation.... is that I had to leave❤️.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Amazing Time

This was a beautiful resort, one of my favourite trips! I was iffy about Cuba, but got a good deal and definitely plan on going back now! The staff are amazing and made it that much of a better experience. The food that is prepared on the spot in the buffets and the a la cartes was amazing, I would stay away from the food that sits in the buffet all day as if is a little cold. Rooms were great, especially with AC. Will be back soon!

Valentin Perla Blanca: Valentin Perla Blanca

I went here the weekend of April 7th. I knew going in that it was long bus ride, that it is a big resort and it's pretty secluded. its a great place to relax but not much to do as your epretty secluded. The hotel is pretty big, lots of walking. The ala cartes were very good, the Buffett not so much. I'd recommend to anyone who wants to relax and enjoy the beach. Not for the adventurous type as you're pretty secluded

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Resort was Beautiful

Resort was beautiful...food and food service not so good, maid service not so good, bar service at the pool was pretty good and the bar service at the beach further down was great!! The beach was beautiful but a lot of coral rock (bring water shoes) only one spot on the beach that you could walk into the water with out any coral rocks. All in all we went with 13 other people and had a great time and made the best of it.

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Great Vacation will Visit Again !

This had been my 5th time in Cuba and never have I had such a pleasant experience ! The workers of this resort and the atmosphere make your vacation. Always work hard day and night to make sure you are satisfied enough and happy they strive for perfection here at the Warwick ! The overall resort itself is beautiful with spectacular sunset views, being a newer resort also everything is very well kept which is a bonus. Everybody always has an option on a place although I myself have travelled all around from Dominican, Costa Rica, Florida Etc. and never not once have I ever been treated so greatly with such good hospitality in my life !

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Excellent Resort

Our stay at Sanctuary at Memories was most enjoyable. The Hotel was very clean and while some construction was going on during our stay to some accommodation it did not affect our enjoyment of the place. The Beach is Fab! Very long sandy beach and great for walking along. The Pool was also very nice. The Buffet was a relatively good standard for Cuba as were the individual restaurants. It was very clean and the ground staff worked very hard to keep it like that. Did feel the night time attractions lacked somewhat and were over and done with very quickly. All in all we had a great holiday and would for sure return to this resort.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Good Value

The public areas and rooms were very nice, lots of little nooks with comfortable seating to relax. Service at the bars and restaurants was very good. Did not like the lining up for the a la carte restaurants, long lines and inefficient handling. Customer service was a nightmare, the stock answer was " sorry, I'm new " ! the privledge customer service was even worse, the lady just continued inputting on her computer, we weren't sure whether she heard our request ! Best to go to the Air Transat de [... read more]sk for any issues, very helpful and effecient ! Overall buildings and service very good but beach and food quite poor even for Cuba !
