Riu Reggae: Riu reggae

Just returned from a week at riu reggae the property is a newer property so it was very clean and more modern in appearance. Can't say enough about the very friendly staff, they were very helpful if needed as well. Throughly enjoyed the food and a very nice variety for everyone. There was no problem finding a beach lounger as there was plenty to go around. The beach was clean but small for walking. Other than that the vacation was a good one and I would recommend this hotel.

Sandals Dunn's River: Nothing Like it

This resort is amazing none other like it. Went here for my 40th birthday and I wouldnt want to of been anywhere else.....the beach is small but very comfortable and clean, the food is amazing loved you didn't have to book a la cartes, room was perfect, beach towels don't have to worry about, no bracelets and no kids ...I love kids but something g to be said for adults only....it's peaceful... the staff is friendly and you feel so welcome when I return to Jamaica and to Ocho Rios I'm not going  [... read more]anywhere but here.

Catalonia Montego Bay: It was everything we were told it would be. And more.

The hotel staff were amazingly friendly. And went out of their way to make the group comfortable. Especially the Buffett workers. The food was excellent and very tasty we had one food allergy person with us and they made sure she had lots to eat. The smoothy bar was a great choice in the morning. The Italian restaurant was my favourite. The only thing I would recommend would be a coffee bar for the nonalcoholic drinkers like myself.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Disappointed

Hi Eliana, Like I had explained to you we were extremely disappointed with Royalton Hideaway in Negril Jamaica. This is my 8th time in Jamaica. We stayed at Sandles, Beaches, Rui etc in Negril, Jamaica before. As you know we had booked before with you last year at Royalton Cancun. I wanted to go to Jamaica again and we thought because we had a great experience at the Royalton Cancun we would book to Jamaica. We arrived a the hotel at 5:30pm. Our day was gone. Once we got to the hotel I forgot my sun hat on the bus because I was so upset and I wanted to check in to the room to start our vacation. The room was not even ready for use they said. The food quality at the hotel was terrible. I didn't want to eat my favourite foods I enjoyed in Jamaica like jerk chicken etc. There was not enough variety of food. With my crepe in the morning I wanted to eat bananas. The 2 times I asked for bananas they said they didn't have any they ran out. The staff said they were out of many of the foods. I got sick there. I like to have hamburgers during lunch. I didn't even have one. I didn't feel like it. I was there at the Marche restaurant at the Japanese section for lunch. I asked for shrimp and the cook said he was out of shrimp. I said to him that it's not true the shrimp was in the fridge. He then said to me he would prepare my shrimp after he makes the rice. I didn't eat any desserts. They were not appetizing. This was not what I was used to especially in Jamaica. The service in the restaurants were so so slow. We had to repeat ourselves many times to get something. The waitress once brought our champagne we had ordered. The 2 glasses of champagne for my husband and I feel as she was opening the door. The waitress and the manger were laughing at this. As we were coming back to Toronto we were checking in our luggages and getting our seats. We asked the Sunwing representative for seats that would recline. She said they're were only a couple of seats that recline on the flight and we had to pay for. My husband was really mad at her. We asked her to call her manager and her manager said the same thing. As we were leaving from a small distance away I could see her talking to her manager smiling and talking about us for sure. As alone as we checked in I was so hungry I went to Margarita Ville restaurant and had my hamburger. I asked my husband which burger do you prefer the one at the hotel or this one. He said for sure the Margarita Ville burger. As we boarded the plane I asked the Sturdess if we had to pay for the seats to recline. She answered most of the seats recline except for the exit seats ect. The Sturdess then asked me to write a complaint about our experience which we did on our flight back home. We handed it to the Sturdess as they picked up the forms of our experience. I also did a review on google for the Royalton Hideway in Negril Jamaica. This was honestly the first time in my life that I have written a review. As you know Eliana in the past year and a half almost, we have booked 3 vacations with you ever since we returned back to live in Canada. Previously you were booking my flights to Israel. Grand Pineapple Beach: Dissappointing

We were expecting rustic. This is too rustic. I wouldn't care if I had paid "rustic" prices, but we paid top dollar. We had dreamed of going to the GP for years. What a let down. The food was very limited. The staff expected tips and were not very grateful. I am sad that we were so disappointed. It could have been so much better. I hope it's for sale. I love the beach and would return under new management.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Great new place!

Brand new place right near airport. Very clean with workers always doing something around the grounds. Large pool and pool bar area. Every room looks at the ocean. Beautiful sand beach right there with easy access . Free wave runner ride, other free equipment to use. We found it to have a large selection of food choices that were very good. Always had a large variety to choose from and was always good. The chef is around and is always willing to discuss his menu and chat with you about food. Ver [... read more]y friendly guy. All the workers there were very friendly and polite. There was mild relaxing entertainment at night in free air area. We were there to celebrate 25 years together and our travel agent Angela must have told them because we were given a room at the east end with a huge balcony and wrap around glass sliders at one end. Awesome room! Thank you! There is the sister resort next door. The place is a little old but makes up for it with all the entertainment shows at night and the party people tend to stay on that side. We have stayed on that side before and loved it. People who stay on that side cant eat or drink at Cornwall side while we can eat drink and use a la carte daily on their side. Pay the extra if you can and stay at Cornwall side. Some good snorkelling there as we saw two big spotted eagle rays daily swimming around. One day one of them jumped right out of the water! Be careful and give that 6 foot tail some room. We would definitely go back. We had an issue with the girls room on first day but the front desk put them in a different one the next day and everything was fine. Lastly, we usually book through red tag. The website is too hard to navigate. We decided to try tripcentral because the website was so easy to navigate and gave us way more choices. The travel agent was outstanding getting us what we wanted. After booking she sent us different useful things and info that red tag never did in the 9 times we booked with them. She also went out of her way to help us and we will use her again next time for sure.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Wonderful stay!

Gorgeous resort, definitely felt like it was a 5 star resort, wifi everywhere on the resort, best beaches were on the Royalton side, rooms were big and beautiful, all room balconies faced the beach, food was good, both at the buffet and at the a la carte restaurants, staff was very friendly and helpful, go to the Ocean Point Bistro to watch the sunset!!

Riu Montego Bay: Overall a good resort

The grounds and resort layout are great. Food is excellent. Rooms need a refresh and room keys are a problem. Staff very friendly and engaging. Nice beach. Front desk very responsive as was housekeeping.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Beautiful resort!

Resort was beautiful! Staff was friendly and the service was prompt! Food was delicious and resort had variety of restaurants. Would definitely recommend to people looking to stay in Jamaica! Overall very relaxing vacation.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great resort for the price

Resort was great for the price. Not extremely extravagant but the food, people, and atmosphere made up for all of that. If ur ok with a resort that doesn't look super fancy but everything else is good than this is the place formyou

Riu Ocho Rios: Great Resort

There was only three things I didn't like about this resort.. rooms were very musty smelling and the entertainment wasn't great and some bar staff weren't friendly..the beach and grounds are beautiful, food was great

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great resort for families, not for young people

Jerk hut was great! Adult pool too shallow and small, kind of dirty. Buffet food was ok. Beaches were great! especially the island. Was not happy about the closing time of 6pm for the pools. Rooms were ok. Dissappointed in not having enough night life.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Perfect destination wedding vacation!

We stayed at the GP Jamaica with 23 friends for our wedding. Although check in was disorganized (it was 11pm and the staff were stressed and not overly friendly), we all enjoyed our stay here. It is a large resort but easy to walk and there are shuttles available to take you wherever you want to go. The food was fantastic! Buffets always had a large variety of items, tried the mexican, jamaican, indian, and steak house and all were really good! All drinks we tried were great. Our group stayed in buildings 12 and 13 which are close to the main areas and across from the quiet pool....which was the perfect spot! The lady hamilton rooms are updated and nice. We stayed in a suite on the LH side in building 26. The room was amazing...ocean front and close proximity to the main building. It was very noisy as we were close to the main pool, and beach where many wedding receptions are held....but everything shuts down at a reasonable time. Since the resort is so large it can be pretty busy at the main pool and the a la cartes. We didn't have any problems finding chairs on the beaches. The wedding department was fantastic! Our wedding coordinator was Meloney and she was amazing. The wedding day was perfect and we didn't have to stress or worry about anything! Our wedding day was a dream! This was our second time in Jamaica and were very pleased with our experience and wedding at the Grand Palladium!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great Resort

We recently returned from a one week stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Runaway Bay and had a great time. Overall it is a great resort and I would recommend it to couples or singles wishing to get away for an easy, fun holiday. The Good - Rooms are very clean, great size and well maintained. A/C works great. Always hot water for the nice big shower. Double sinks are great. Balcony is big and clean. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Love the Coconut Beach Bar. It's nice to have a proper bar (with decent alcohol) and toilets so close to the beach. The staff are great (Maureen and Jason in particular) And if you're lucky, you'll be there when DJ HQ/Andre shows up! He is amazing! It's such a great idea to have music at that bar because otherwise it can be a little quiet. The karaoke and disco are good options for night time entertainment. It's on the Grand side, but it's easy to walk or to have a golf cart drop you off. The best beach is in the middle, beside the wedding chapel. It's a little rocky but overall it's the best option because there is some sand and there are some good spots for snorkeling. The So-So - The Luxury lobby bar is OK. The servers are OK but its sort of lifeless around there, even when there is entertainment it's just not that great. Dance lessons or something would be great. Also, for an adults only side I think closing the bar at 11pm is way too early. Although there is a disco on the other side of the bar it's not for everyone. I feel 1am would be much more appropriate. The restaurants are just OK. Honestly we ate in the buffet every night, even after going to the restaurants. The quality and taste are better in the buffet, and for us there were better options for my bf. It's too bad there isn't a Jamaican restaurant! The Needs-To-Improve - The beach on the Luxury side. It's very shallow with too many rocks/shells for the fact there is a big break wall so it should be cleaned out better. Wifi access was problematic. For the entire trip I had to go into the lobby for access. Even though I don't need/want to be attached constantly, it's nice to have access when I want it, where I want it and how it is advertised. And for the first 1.5 days neither of us have access anywhere. Lobby in general. For the Luxury side, it's not nearly as luxurious looking as the Grand side, and it's just kinda boring. Overall though I recommend it for value in Jamaica! This was my second visit and I would absolutely consider returning. I noticed some improvements from the last time I visited (Oct 2016) which was nice to see.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: It was Ok

The resort was beautiful and the Jamaican staff great. The hotel has communication problems. It was a hassle to make reservations for the restaurants as their wasn't any times available but u walk by the restaurants and they were 20% occupied. This visual pissed off a lot of the guests. 9 of us got sick after the Japanese restaurant. My stay at the Iberostar was much better.

Secrets St James: The Great Escape!

Beautiful resort! Scenic views. The sunset is incredible. The people were amazing! Boyd......James Bond..... Carla....... the whole volleyball crew! Great service. Friendly. Accomadating. Great for a relaxing, luxurious vacation.

Couples Swept Away: Great Beach

Spent 7 days at Couples Swept Away, room was great, we would recommend a second floor room, better views. Food was good, lots of choice although I think they need 1 or 2 more sit down restaurants. Staying 7 days we felt we needed more options. Although pools were small it is not a pool resort, the beach is the sell on this resort absolutely beautiful. Grand Palladium Jamaica: Loved it!

Great resort, with nice pools, several beaches and lots to do. Watch out for sea urchins in the water at the far beach! I loved the food! Besides the Jamaican food, the Steakhouse and Indian restaurant were my favourites.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: Great Resort

Hotel was excellent, very clean and friendly. Our maid went over and above in her service. Our problem was with Air Transat and we were not pleased with how we were treated at the boarding desk. Four people were booked for two seats. Two people booked twenty four hours before the flight online for our seats that we booked on April 1st. We were not treated very nice at the desk as we were told those two that booked the day before had priority over us. We were so upset that we asked to have our lu [... read more]ggage removed from the plane before it left for Jamaica. We were cancelling our trip because of how we were treated. Finally someone came and told us we would have our seats and the others would be moved and they got Option Plus for free as they gave up their seats for us. We will not fly Air Transat again and will be telling everyone we know not to book through Trip Central or Air Transat. NOT HAPPY

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Fantastic Vacation!

We were a little nervous about this trip because the resort opening was later than expected. NO NEED! The resort is beautiful starting with its impressive lobby, to the restaurants and gorgeous rooms. Every room has an ocean view. We stayed on the Hideaway side and the view from our room was breathtaking! The beach on the Hideaway side was not to my liking as it was rocky and very small but the main beach was beautiful, I loved it! No need for any reservations for the restaurants (except f [... read more]or Zen) and no strict dress code for the men so eat when you want and guys, be comfortable while doing it! All restaurants have the option for indoor or outdoor seating which is another fantastic feature. Now let's talk about the buffet! Best buffet I've been to in the Caribbean! Very big with lots of options and again have the option to eat in or out. The buffet also has a separate dining room for Hideaway residents. Also try to have lunch at Beach Point was the views are spectacular. That's where you can watch the sunsets as well, no need to go to Rick's cafe. I don't have anything to complain about. Yes there was construction but it didn't interfere with our vacation at all. On top of how beautiful this resort is, all of the employees are top notch! I mean genuinely helpful and friendly. All staff from Security to wait staff to cleaning people. We will definitely be back. Do not worry about going to this resort, I can't say enough about it!
