Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great pool and kids shows but....

The resort was ok. The pools were really nice and a lot of activities for the kids in the evening. However, the rooms could be cleaner, the beach was filled with towers of seaweed (which they picked up in the middle of the day with a large loud bulldozer). we wanted to upgrade but the guest services did not speak English. The buffet was ok. Service was not that great. the best part was being away with my kids. Overall was disappointed with the resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good Resort

Good resort. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Grounds were nice and good for long walks. Food was good although drinks were limited to local spirits only. "Imported" drinks were $4 US but these were, as the staff said, "similar" to the original drinks that to my surprise were being served on bottles with original labels. Beach was the big disappointment; sand was good but the sea was full of algae, to the point it was disgusting to swim. Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: The Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro Resort is a excellent resort

The Grounds were extremely well kept. The people were very friendly, helpful & a pleasure to be with no negatives at all. The food was amazing very fresh, Incredible variety, hot when required wonderful ripe fruit ( Pineapples,Mango ). Our villa was #25 as we asked to be close to the beach ( 3 minutes ) also close to breakfast & Lunch pavilion next to beach, Limited beach area for each resort ( cabanas & loungers ) each resort had their own section. The only negative part was this particular time there was a lot of seaweed in the water & washing up on the beach, the resorts had groups of workers working 12 hours a day & tractors & JCB removing the piled up seaweed every day not possible to keep up while we were there. As a coffee lover ( I roast my own green beans to ensure the coffee is fresh ) the coffee in the resort was the only thing I had any disappointment with yes it was drinkable but compared to the food not on the same quality. So to sum up this resort was a fabulous experience defiantly recommended. I just remembered I did notice some very unsafe electrical outlets on the beach close to the restaurants, broken boxes with wiring exposed this should be repaired correctly. Thank you

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort and amazing staff. just need some reno on the bathrooms. The only disappointment I had was the POOR service of Air Transat. aircraft too small and no room to even move in the seats. they are not even trained to get people proper service., it is just another flight to these people.

I liked the hotel, staff, grounds etc. I think they can improve on the quality and variety of nightly shows offered. I also think they need to offer more chicken variety in the buffet at Amber Blue. The staff at the resort was most helpful in every way possible. i will highly recommend this resort to everyone and i will also definitely be going back there.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: was fun but can improve a tad bit.

we thought the place was great, but had a few issues that can be improved on. Between 7 resorts there was only one theatre and it was all in Spanish, which is a little hard to communicate, with service and staff. There was no program or any guides or anything letting us know of any events of anything thats going on, rather a little disorganized. They attempted to clean up the seaweed on the beach front but sadly didnt do that great a job so that got a little annoying. only other thin [... read more]g is the lack of bathrooms available at the pool and beach which is a little worrying. Otherwise, i think the staff still attempted to provide good service, we really enjoyed the beach front on the lawn chairs/beach chairs, the beach was still amazing and was nice to relax out in the sun.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Wonderful resort

This resort was exceptionally beautiful. Grounds well kept. Rooms, lobbies, restaurants, pools, beach where very clean and well maintained. Food was great, staff where attentive and personable. The beach was beautiful, water was very nice. The quiet pool was our favorite, next to the beach. No issues with this resort at all. Definitely plan to go back.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Our 4th time to the Bahia Principe

We had a great time at the "Bahia Principe Sian Ka-an. The check in was done in no time at all. We spend 7 days at this very nice resort. Since we are elderly ( 85 ) We are not during any excursions any more, we have them done on our earlier travels Our first outing was to the Hazienda, a free trip from the resort to do some shopping.Even our trip to the beach was a one time experience. Our room was 40211 close to the lobby, The walk to the lobby and Buffet was a 5 Min. walk.The food is very good and plentiful also a great variety. . We met 2 waiters Walter and Jonathan that were outstanding in our mind, 2 very friendly and helpful young men in any way. So were others but these 2 young men were outstanding. The personal at the reception were always helpful and friendly in giving advise in a friendly manner.We went to a sit down Restaurant , were reservation was recommend, the "Alux", excellent food , excellent service and very friendly personal .I would recommend this Resort to any body, who is looking for a relaxed vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Time!

We stayed in the Tulum resort for a bachelor party and had a great time. Despite some bad weather for the first couple of days, the resort itself was awesome! The resort is quite large so you will be doing lots of walking unless you catch a shuttle at the lobby. The rooms were nice and equipped with AC , the food was pretty much the same in the buffet for breakfast lunch and dinner, unless you book an a la carte which were pretty good. Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Exceptional Stay!

A beautiful place to stay. The grounds, food, and beach were perfect. I will highly recommend this resort to my family & friends. The price we paid for this vacation would equate to a 3 1/2 star resort which made our stay even better. This is our 2nd visit to this resort in the past 2 years.

Recently spent 6 days at Coba and couldn't say enough good things about it. The staff is unreal, and really go the extra mile to make your stay amazing. Everything is kept meticulous and clean and the amenities are more than enough - from the drinks to the food. A++++

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Definitely better than 5 star!!!

This is a true beauty spot, the hotel is beautiful, small enough to be charming and large enough to have all the amenities. The hotel and grounds are perfectly kept, not a branch left lying around. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff are so meticulous, everything is sparkling clean, well groomed and yet you feel comfortable all the time. We had a superior balcony room facing the ocean. The room was extremely large, maid service was twice a day, once in the late morning and again in the early evening. Never run out of towels, mini bar is stocked daily and the bed is fresh every day. The butler service was great, even arranged for a rental car for us. One thing that impressed me and made our stay more comfortable was the pillow menu. We chose the type of pillow and it was on the bed when we returned from dinner. The staff was very good, they took care of everything for us from dinner reservations to returning the car rental. The staff was always pleasant, personable and extremely polite, always genuinely happy. You were always treated very good. There was entertainment supplied every night that was fun and gave you a time to socialize with the other guests. This certainly went beyond our expectations. There was only one small problem, when you book you are told there are three restaurants and that you can book as many dinners as you want, unfortunately they do not tell you that if you book a time that is not the height of the season then all three restaurants are not open every night, and on some nights there is only the buffet. The shuttles over to the island beach is also limited in the off season. I would recommend that this information on the change in availability during the off season should be explained to anyone considering this holiday. Luckily, the food is great no matter where you eat and if you want to go to the island, there is still a limited shuttle every day. The trip central agent, Amanda Garlough, was perfect, she found us the perfect spot for this vacation, was always there with help or to answer questions promptly. All around, it has been a very good experience!

Great grounds. Went with another couple and our kids. it was awesome. Enderson and Jose at main restaurant are awesome. Butler aritof was great. Didn’t like the Chinese food night. Floors around the pool could be less slippery.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great resort!!

Hotel rooms were great! Very clean and well organized. Food was incredible and very well made. Loved the entertainment at night, in the pool and around the resort! Only issue we had was the seaweed that covered the beach but definitely not any fault of the resort! The entire place was incredible I will definitely be booking this again!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Best resort ever!!

This was the second time we went here and they definitely didn't disappoint This resort is absolutely beautiful. The food was great. The staff is amazing. They make you feel very welcome. My 7 year old son had a great time at the outdoor kids club. We are planning to return at the end of the year. We highly recommend this resort.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Great vacation

We travelled in May 2018. Everything went smooth and trouble free. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The villas are surrounded by tropical vegetation. The grounds are well kept. Rooms are very large and balconies are proportionally huge. The beach is rather small but just enough. There’s a lot of natural shade from the trees on the beach. Main buffet is gorgeous and it has 3 section, one indoor (absolutely beautiful) and 2 outdoor sections one for smokers. Which really is accommodating everyone. Food is great and desserts are so good that you have to put an effort in “controlling your intake”. Service is absolutely 5 stars. I interacted with various staff and everyone from the bellboys to managers will bend over backwards to fulfill all your needs and wants. Not too many kids (hopefully their numbers will not increase). I would give this resort a 4 star because I expected more from a 5 star resort. This resort caters to the kids and it does a really great job. For example, the water park, nightly shows which were all great compared to other resorts I have been to. Also, if you sign up early enough you can sign up your child to be in the show. The first one Italian was a terrible experience, our server was rude from the start, all 12 of us ended up getting up when our dinner came because he was throwing our plates at us. Management saw us leave and followed us to the buffet which was next door. Situation was handled then for the rest of the week all the servers were really attentive to us and being polite. Compare to Cuba, food is a step up but really heaving on the salt so I give it a 4 stars. Rooms - clean and big, had 2 double beds and double size clot plus extra room, the bathroom was big too but no fan in there so every time you bathed and showered the whole bathroom steamed up, drain in shower was clogged, told receptionist but not sure if anyone came because it was still clogged when we showered - 4 stars Beach - lots of huts and chairs no need to play the towel game but they were so close together, felt crowded. About 10 minute walk to beach. Restaurant on the beach and also servers to take drink orders. Unfortunately beach had a lot of seaweed which I heard that it’s an issue for a few years in Punta Cana. So I didn’t go into the ocean as I am used to clear turkiose water. We did witness one of the locals stealing a whole bag off a chair and took off so fast so be careful and don’t leave anything that you need. Overall, I give the beach 4 stars as it had enough chairs for everyone, drink servers, restaurant on beach and washrooms. Would have been perfect if Mother Nature cooperated with no seaweed. Bar service: drinks were good, mojhitoes were better than Cuba, passionfruit juice with rum was my husband’s favourite and I was loving the whiskey sour. Bar service was fast and never waited long Washrooms: lots of them which were convenient when you have kids and they were always clean. Entertainment: 8 pm, kids mini disco, 9 pm theatre show, 10 pm a show projected on the castle that lights up at night, 10:15pm live Latin singing and dancing 11pm lights out, literally to turn off lobby lights, fountain lights and main bar lights. If you want to continue partying, you can go to the other resorts connected. Not sure what activities were during the day as we were always at the water park or pool. Wanted to do some yoga or Zumba but didn’t see it on the activity board Wifi - free pretty good for the Caribbean

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Luxury Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an

My wife and I had an excellent anniversary at Sian Ka'an. While we are pretty young, yet parents to a toddler, staying at this resort but having access to the other three Bahia's on the property was perfect. We would drink during the day and hang out at the swim up bars at the other resorts and then come back to Sian Ka'an when we wanted peace and quiet! I would definitely go back and also will be suggesting this resort to friends of mine.
