Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Very Good Resort!

Fourth (and fifth!) times our families visited Iberostar Ensenachos and again we had unforgettable vacation! Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Good Resort

The grounds are well kept. Staff is friendly. Food was average for Cuba there was always something. Public areas kept neat and clean. Beautiful beach and pool. No real complaints. One thing that was strange is that they had no shows at night. I had a leak in my bathroom when I arrived. I went to customer service the next morning and the problem was solved that day. Great experience!

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Nice Resort

Resort nice. Rooms were great and cleaned very well. Not a big food section. More food choices would be nice. Lots of coral on the beach. Need to be very careful going in and out of the water. The right side of the beach is the best. Service was very good. More entertainment is needed.

Valentin Perla Blanca: Wonderful time at Valentin!

We loved Valentin Perla Blanca from the second we arrived! We were greeted with a warm smile and check in was quick. Our requests were looked after. Our room was well appointed and our maid Janet was just so wonderful. She really made sure that when we returned to our room after spending the day at the gorgeous beach, that we were comfortable. The gardens are breathtaking with bouganvileas everywhere! The pool areas were large and never lacked any chairs. This was our Beach vacation to relax and enjoy each others company. We spent most of our days at the beach and it was just spectacular...white sand and the water, a beautiful Aqua color. The evenings were full of life and entertaining live bands piano. The Italian al la carts was our favourite. Overall, we had a wonderful time excaping our busy lives and reconnecting as a couple at Valentin Perla Blanca! Thank you to all the amazing people at Valetin for making sure that our stay was just perfect!!!

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Nice motel

Rooms were nice and clean. Service at buffets was poor . Lots of line ups. Washrooms in different locations were not always clean. And no toilet paper! Intertainment was poor except fir the Micheal Jackson show that was great! Overall I would rate it as a 3 for food service and intertainment and a 5 for the grounds

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Overbooked resort!

Hello, The resort it self is nice, I would rate it a 3 star not a 4. We arrived and they didn't have a room for us, waited over an hour to finally speak to someone and we had booked privilege. 3 people in one room with 2 full size beds. No shower, imagine getting into a tub when you spend the day in the sun! Ouch! Towels were stained, had to ask for 3 days to get extra towels as they only left enough for two people. Pillows, forget about it. You get a free message, but once again we didn't a [... read more]s they were over booked. Free bottle of rum, asked 4 days in a row. Still nothing! The staff was very nice, the front desk needed some training on how to deal with issues. Beach is beautiful, bring bug spray as we had sand flee bites daily. Overall, pay the extra money and stay at the royalton or Valentin

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Another great stay

This was our second stay at the resort. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Ensenachos beach was spectacular, best beach I've seen so far. The buffet always has a wide selection and no issues booking a la carte restaurants. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean restaurant. I would definitely recommend this resort to others and most likely to return in the future.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Very nice, new resort.

It is new, spacious, very nicely done. Pools are awesome, lots to choose from. If comes to food- I recommend restaurants ( 5 of them ) not buffet...Phenomenal beaches, and lovely Spa. The only thing is- when you have a problem, literally nobody speaks english, not even at the reception ) LOL ) It would be nice, if they had little welcome drinks ( like even a water or juice ) and small snacks. Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Lovely resort

The hotel was clean and modern, the rooms were comfortable with an amazing shower. Staff was friendly and helpful. The 6 all a Carter restaurants offered great variety first supper. The beach was lively but narrow so you had to keep an eye on the tide to make sure your belongings did not get wet.

Nice new resort. The rooms were comfortable, and loved the shower. Large resort but didn't seem crowded. The restaurants were good, and the staff were friendly. Beautiful beach and loved the water. Enjoyed the entertainment and a couple excursions.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: First vacation to cuba

This was my first trip to Cuba and I wasn't disappointed. The sand and beach was everything I had imagined. Awesome. The hotel rooms were quite adequate, air conditioning worked, rooms cleaned every day, sometimes with clean towels and sometimes without, but all in all was great. I was disappointed with some of the staffing, having really difficult times being understood, certainly not the impression I had of the friendly and helpful staff, always joking and interacting with guests. Also, groups of Cubans hanging around the beach bars making patrons uncomfortable to approach, quite blatantly speaking about us in Spanish while looking and laughing....very very uncomfortable. Friends with me who have been to many different Cuban resorts said this has never been a practice before at any resort. That was not pleasant for me. But, we did have a great time, meet a few very nice staff and hope the minor glitches will be smoothed out, if we ever go again. It would be more attractive to be able to fly direct from pei instead of a 3 hour drive and an overnight in another city. Perhaps that will be possible one day, we have a direct flight to veradara from pei now...thx

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Great resort

We stayed from March 31 to April 5th. We arrived at night, we got checked into our room than went for drinks. This is a big resort and not knowing where we were going made it difficult to find our building, but by the next day I had it figured out. I stayed in building 8, 3rd floor, room was big and spacious, clean and we had plenty of water. Valentin Perla Blanca: AMAZING TRIP

This was the most amazing trip ever - loved everything about this resort. Only one thing they should do would be to put washrooms close to the beach. I would certainly go back to this resort again. Grand Memories Santa Maria: Good value for money and perfect white-sand beach

Sunwing's Blue Diamond company recently took over this resort from Barceló and have made much progress in upgrading and sprucing up this older hotel. Our room was freshly painted and kept nicely clean by our room attendant. We tipped her well on the first and last day and left a peso on the pillow other mornings and she was very anxious to give us what we needed. We had a lovely balcony looking out over the turquoise ocean and palm trees, which made up for the fact that we didn't get the first [... read more]-floor, king-bed room we requested. The exterior of some of the buildings is a bit scruffy although some have been re-painted recently. The buffet and a la cartes were presentable enough and the food was consistent with a 3-star Cuban hotel. Don't expect Alberta-calibre beef or peanut butter. The fresh lobster and fish were the best protein items, and the pastries and desserts were sublime. Fresh fruit is always on the menu. The two best features of the hotel were the exquisite icing-sugar sand beach and the wonderful, helpful staff, who were always pleasant and ready to assist.

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Fun in the Sun

Truly all inclusive. Sailing was excellent, rooms clean, some inconsistency in services between others I spoke to. Food was good and most staff were terrific. Evening entertainment was good. Day events and activities were adequate.

Hotel Roc Casa del Mar: Stunning resort

Beautiful, clean, amazing resort! We fell in love with our surroundings. The beach took our breath away with stunning green/blue water and white sand. We were treated like special guests. The resort had amazing, refreshing pools. There was always a vacant lounge which is different than other resorts we've to. I would love to go back!

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Awesome Trip!

I stayed at the Warwick last week! I have nothing bad to say about the resort. I loved the beach with the rocks, a change from the endless beach of sand. The food was good, the room was amazing! Will return next year....

Roc Lagunas del Mar: Very nice resort ~ will go back for sure

We stayed Warwick Cayo Santa Maria from March 30 to April 6 2017. The weather was perfect the whole week. Afternoons winds would pick up, but the water was still pretty awesome. Did some snorkeling everyday & saw tons of tropical fish. No bathrooms on the beach, so the ocean is big. Just sayin. Michel always made sure we had drinks on the beach. Our maid Leedy made sure we had clean towels. There are no facecloths or kleenex, so bring your own. Nice big bathroom/shower. Our balcony had ocean vi [... read more]ew, which was amazing. No complaints on the food. It's Cuba, but if you're not fussy, there is always something to eat. We did 3 a la carte and we've enjoyed all 3. I believe our best was Fusion. You cannot ask for better service and friendlier staff. Always willing to help. We only went to the pool one afternoon & found there were a lot of kids. The pools are not deep. Animation team were great. Internet is slow in the evenings, but better in the mornings in the lobby. It's a very large resort so expect to do some walking. We really enjoyed the resort & would recommend it for sure, but be prepared for a 2 hour drive from the airport to the resort which we didn't mind. We had a good tour guide explaining the villages on the way and beer on the bus (2 for $5 cdn). Cayo Santa Maria is beautiful. Overall, the resort is is awesome!

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: Good value, but keep expectations low

This was my second trip to Starfish so I knew what to expect. Rooms: I stayed in the older section of the hotel. The room decor is tired and needs to be refreshed. There are limited toiletries provided, i.e.: 1 bar of hand soap and a dispenser in the shower with shampoo and body wash). The dispenser did not work properly and leaked all the body wash onto the tub surround, requiring us to wash with just the bar of hand soap - not ideal but workable. The room was cleaned daily, but there was a [... read more]lways sand all over the floor. The coffee table had a glass top and was never cleaned or dusted while we were there, no was the balcony ever swept. The mattress was comfortable, but firm. There is no way to adjust the air conditioning, so your choice is on or off. Same with the ceiling fan, there was no way to adjust the speed the fan went, so again either on or off. The TV was hit and miss with channels depending on whether the satellite was working or not. Food: We ate every meal at the buffet. The food is the worst I have ever had at a buffet in Cuba. I was hoping it would have improved since my last visit, but it was exactly the same. Limited selection and frequently over cooked. I am not a picky eater, so I was able to eat well at every meal, but it is disappointing. More selection and better preparation would be substantial improvements. Beach: The beach is beautiful, and its the reason I go to Cuba. However, the beach cabanas are in a state of disrepair with many of them not having thatch roofs to keep you out of the sun. Furthermore, behind all the cabanas is where the hotel has chosen to stash broken chaise lounges and extra lounges for use at high season. It looks like a car wrecking yard with unwanted beach furniture strewn all around the bushes and dunes backing the cabanas. If you stay facing the water the view is perfect. We accessed the beach using the boardwalk near the Nautical Centre. As you approach the water you will see random chaise lounges thrown into the bushes and strewn about. Its not attractive and detracts from the beauty all around you. It would not take much effort or expense to clean this up and make the resort more attractive for its guests. Resort: The lobby is impressive as are the main buildings, but maintenance is being neglected. There are several areas where the plaster has come off the buildings and not been repaired. Many of the benches in the lobby require re-upholstery as they are badly stained and/or faded. All of the bungalows in the older section require exterior maintenance, especially painting. From the beach looking toward the hotel it was obvious that a section of a dormer had fallen or blown off and needs repairing (bungalow 9 or 10?). Airport Transfer: The trip from the airport to Cayo Santa Maria takes at minimum 90 minutes. We arrived at 8:30 pm and were through immigration in less than 30 minutes. Everyone on our bus was going to Starfish so there were no additional stops along the route. However, we did not get to the hotel until after 11:00 pm as the bus ride took 2 hours and 15 minutes, including a stop on the causeway so people could smoke and pee at the side of the road (our bus had no toilet on it). On the return to the airport we stopped at 4 resorts to pick up other passengers, adding to the time of the return. We were picked up at 4:30 pm and were not at the airport until 6:30 pm. The trip to and from the hotel add significantly to your travel time or your arrival and departure dates, so plan accordingly. I got a great deal on this trip at the last minute (booked on Tuesday, left for Cuba on Thursday). While I had a great vacation, I would not be willing to pay more than the $700 I paid to stay at this property for 7 days - any more and its not worth it!

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Golden fun at the golden tulip

Beaches and pools we absolutely beautiful, service was good, food was ok but very plentiful. Some bug problems but if u drank beer they didn't bother u as much. Lots to do at the resort , towel service was good, Pecos were 30 cents on the Canadian dollar. Bank right at the resort. Good vacation over all.
