Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Nice Adults Only Resort

Hotel staff are all very nice and welcoming. Hotel grounds, public areas and guestrooms are very well maintained and for the most part COVID protocols are in place around the hotel. Food and service is all very good. This is a large resort with the Bavaro Palace attached. When there are conventions or holidays, this attached hotel is very busy. You have to make restaurant reservations in advance upon arrival but all easily done through guest services. Adults only hotel should not have [... read more] to pay extra for specialty restaurants and there are only two located at adults only side, one of which you can't seem to get a reservation for. Beach is very nice. If you are looking for a quiet beach, this hotel is not for you. Party boats and fishing boats are located next to the hotel that play very loud music when they leave and return. Helicopter tours fly constantly over the beach. Some days are quieter than others. There is no bar service on the beach which was disappointing for an adults only hotel but the bar is easily accessible with fast and friendly service. There is also no snack bar located near the pool for light snacks throughout the day, not sure if this is due to Covid related protocols or not. In the beach restaurant, Maria is absolutely amazing!! Cannot say enough about the service with a smile that welcomed us daily! She goes above and beyond her role to make your stay a memorable one. We travelled with another couple and the evening entertainment when there was some was very nice and welcomed. Great lobby to hang out in, play games or just chill, with a nice bar and service to your seats. Overall a nice hotel, great weather, a nice beach and good food. Would return again.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Fantastic Resort

From the staff to the location down to the beautiful weather. The place is beautiful. The villas are well kept with housekeeping daily. The pool is gorgeous and the beach is well maintained the only thing bad I will say is I had a room fairly close to the theater and lobby. At night the entertainment was extraordinarily loud. So much so that when there to enjoy a drink you could not char with those at the table with you. If you wished for an earlier night the volume was way to high. El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great Vacation at El Beso

Had a great time at El Beso in November 2021. We were a group of 6 and all had different styles of rooms. We had a swim out, one couple had a regular room and the las couple had toilet issues and were upgraded to the roof top terrace. All the rooms are very similar in decor, just a big size difference with the roof top. The swim out we had was in building 17, sun all morning, it was perfect. For Japanese you must get up at and be up there to book at 7am, all the others you have to wait in line at for 6pm. It’s a bit of a pain but we figured it out and ate at restaurants every night. The other option is to eat at the adults only restaurant at the beach. We did breakfast there everyday and they also had theme nights for dinner at 6:30pm or 8pm. It was great. A very nice feature is the lazy river. It is on the family side but a short walk from the adult pool. We brought our own tubes, good thing as they were very hard to find throughout the day. Overall the resort is well maintained and the staff are very friendly, we did not have any issues with service, we knew what we were getting into with Covid. Mikes Coffee was dynamite, a must visit place with lots of room to sit inside or outside. The airport leaving DR though was a gong show, make sure you also complete your departure declaration before you get in line, many people didn’t and they just shoved us to the back of the line. Finally made it through customs and made it on the plane 20 min prior to departure and did not get a chance to do some duty free shopping. I would definitely visit El Beso again.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Beautiful place

I recommend this place for family with kids. They are very professional, a lot activity in the pool and at night. The food very good . The place is clean,they follow the covid protocol, they wearing mask. We are happy and we'll be back ❤

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great Resort!

This is second time for one couple at this resort, and is still amazing. Other couple really enjoyed too. This time in adult side El Beso, really enjoy the quietness, less crowds here. There is still snacks bar, restaurant, buffet for breakfast, pools on this side. We still went to restaurants, pool, and favorite lazy river on Ocean El Faro side. People wore masks in restaurants until eating or drinking. Mostly masks not used outside. They had masks if forgot yours. The no reservations at restaurants is good, but found it hard a few times to get in, was line ups with wait times of 2 hours later. Didn't open all restaurant 2 closed a night. PCR testing at resort was good but wait times to pre- register for appointment were long. Cost $90 Us. Entertainment was outside in patio area in evenings instead of theater, because of covid was great, especially Micheal Jackson show. Something here at resort for everyone.

Occidental Punta Cana: Fantastic Resort

This was a fantastic resort, very clean, great service the staff were excellent. The beach was great as were the multiple pools. Grounds were kept quite nicely staff were can’t. The food was great, there was a great selection with variations throughout the week. The a le carte restaurants were wonderful and good was great! The Spa service was fantastic I would highly recommend it. I would go back again it was a fabulous week.

I was very pleased with the service that the hotel staff gave me, the hotel areas were always very clean, the staff very professional. Occidental Punta Cana: Asbsolutey beautiful resort

I went to this resort by accident,but it was sure pleased with the place.The people at this hotel were very friendly and happy. Very very clean and well taking care of grounds. The food was excellent and many many choices.There was always good things to eat. My only issue with this resort is its very stretched out and a bit of a walk to the beach from our room. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Dissatisfied traveler

Honestly I was expecting better!!! I was in another Bahia Principe hotel years ago better experience back then The hotel staff was so rude. the driver who took us to the hotel yelled to us because we didn’t know the location of the hotel. Same hotel different lobbies. The receptionist yelled to me, he didn’t provide good instructions and thought that we are already familiar with what was going on. The cleaning of the rooms was poor, beds not properly made just sheet straight a bit a [... read more]nd that was all, washrooms weren’t clean…you could see the sand and dirt on floor and sink from the day before. Waitress were sometime helpful sometimes not…I ordered drinks that never came. Pools were clean at least and the spa as good I paid extra for it. I met my family there after 2 years of this COVID craziness. That was the positive point.

TRS Turquesa: Much needed Vacation

Unfortunately, while we made the best of our vacation we were somewhat disappointed. Our room was nice, although I didn't really like the open concept idea and not having a dresser or at least some drawers. The food was okay, lots of different restaurants to choose from along with the buffets, however, food was served lukewarm, not always as ordered, and in most cases took along time. Karina was lovely always had a table for us ready, even before we were in the buffet, she could she us walking up or in line. Our server in the Steak House, not Kiki but something like that, was great! We were a little concerned with people walking around in the buffet without wearing masks either properly or at all. We are in the midst of a pandemic! I would also, say if someone is saving a seat at the pool or at the beach, it should be monitored and if they haven't shown up to use it after a couple of hours it should be made available to others. Very inconsiderate to save a chair for 8 hours and not use it at all during that time. Pool had quite a bit of algae around some of the corners.

Ocean Blue and Sand: 10 Days of Sunshine

Nothing but sunshine from morning to night. Rooms were relatively basic, but nice. Had a pool view - garden view looks out over service road and jungle. Food was phenomenal. A row of a la cartes including; Steak House, Italian, American (Route 66), Mexican, French (romantic), Japanese, Sportsbar, Coffee Bar, and an excellent Buffet. Riu Palace Macao: Second time there and will be back again!

This resort is amazing! The grounds are well kept and the facility is constantly being cleaned by staff. The food quality and selection is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The beach is amazing, except when we were there it was windy and therefore there was more seaweed being swept on shore, but once you got through it the water was wonderful. These people who work in the resort work very long hours, something I'm sure most people wouldn't do and I'm very disappointed that some  [... read more]guests don't leave a tip at the end of their meals. I understand that tips are included, but if you can't afford a dollar or two after you dinner you shouldn't be going there. We will definitely be coming back to this beautiful resort. Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Beautiful Resort

This is a beautiful resort with beautiful people. We had an amazing time. Tge rooms were wonderful & always clean. The service we received in tge buffet restaurants was beyond amazing. A special thank you to David, Anderson, Anna, Erick, Deniisa & Wanda. We were treated so well & looked forward to seeing their smiling faces each day. We will definitely visit again.

Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only: Beautiful Resort

Second visit to this resort. Jorge our butler was amazing. He worked so hard to please us and made our stay so memorable. The food was very good. Our room was in a prime location by the pool. Would recommend to visit.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Updating needed

After staying at this hotel many times, I can say this was my least favorite stay. Hotel needs major updating specifically in the rooms. Hotel buffet has gone downhill with less options and quality is less. One night i seen a massive roach behind the bread station and makes me believe their kitchen is infested as well. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Amazing resort

The grounds, public areas, including dining areas are excellent. Rooms are mediocre. Food is nice too. Not much selection on international drinks. The bartenders are super nice...so is the concierge staff.

I was thoroughly impressed with this resort & would return in the future. The food was excellent, with lots of variety & al a carte restaurants. The grounds are clean and well groomed. The protocols in place for Covid were excellent and the majority of guests did abide by those guidelines. The only thing I was disappointed in was the beach area. Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Great Resort

Great clean resort. The food was half decent had great entertainment and pool area. The only concern was if you aren’t diamond club you cannot reserve restaurants, so you need to line up at 6 in a crazy line only for them to tell you to come back at 8 and then come back again at 9. The food at these restaurants was also amazing and delicious one night and then mediocre the next. But overall we had a great trip.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Iberostar Punta Cana - resort to come back to...

I chose Iberostar Punta Cana based on it's pools configuration, landscaping details and beach proximity. I was right on! We loved lounging in it's pools, particularly on the steps, partially submerged in the water, sipping on our cocktails. It doesn't have a swim up bar, but that was no problem at all - more the reason to get up from our spot and move to another comfortable location. Sm [... read more]ooth sailing thru Toronto airport, slight delay on departure - wings have to be de-iced. Great transfer to our resort - we were the only ones in our van, and we didn't pay extra for private transfer - maybe it had to do with not too many people going our way yet? On second day there we scheduled our PCR Covid test which was at 2 pm on Dec. 01 /we were coming back on Dec. 03, departure at 4:00 pm/. After congregating at the lobby, @ 15 people were taken by golf carts to a location in one of the Iberostar Bavaro villas. There we paid our fee which was 70 usd per person /cash/. Our results were e-mailed to us next day at 8:00 am. Very fast I would say. Also, I loved eco features of the resort: dispensers in the bathrooms /soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash/; air dryers for hands, no paper towels at the resort restrooms; recycling containers in the room and all over the grounds... The resort is also big on QR codes - everything - menus at a la cartes, information, maps etc is done by scanning QR codes, so get your phones ready, lol. But some printed menus were also available. Covid protocols: basically at the buffets and a la cartes only - entering you have to have your mask on, once seated - mask off. But I have to applaud all the employees of Iberostar - masks on all the time! All in all - a very relaxing and pleasant stay, beautiful grounds, great pools, great food... On day number 2 there - I was already planning extended family /more relatives/ possible stay here next year :) And special "thank you" to our Tripcentral agent for being on top of everything and sending us helpful informational e-mails every step of the way and answering our questions promptly. Tripcentral website is my favourite site to go to and explore possible vacations! Great vacation! Makes it easier to go back to work to be able to plan another great stay!
