Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful Resort

The service was great, food was not the best, but we had variety of choices, people were amazing and for sure, the beach - heaven :-) The only problem was the internet, when I bought the package, it was not specify that we have to buy internet card. It was not a big deal for me, at least, this keep the kids on outdoor activities. But it will be good to know before.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Nice staff

Hotel facilities clean neat, service friendly. Big thumb up for stop using plastic straws. Ice cream and coffee are great! Weakness: a la cart food is very blend, meat are tough, flavourless, buffets lacks variety.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Low class hotel

No snack bar after 6 PM. No light in the hallway or front yard. Very hard to find room in the dark.. Soap not supplied whole week in the room. Lots of bed bugs...........................................

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great place

Absolutely beautiful resort. Wonderful staff and service, good drinks, great pools and beach and grounds and rooms- no complaints there. Food was surprisingly subpar (been on a ton of Cuban trips) but I never went hungry. Thanks for a great stay.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Resort review

Hotel and grounds were ok, beach was beautiful food can always be better. No night life outside the resort - no where to go. Half day trip to nearest city of Moron is not worth it. I hate the fact that everything that you do, everywhere you go, there is an expectation to give tips. Even for going to public toilet. Bring another $200 just for tips

Melia Jardines del Rey: Awesome Resortt

Everything was excellent, cleanness, pleasant staff, beautiful beaches, great food.... Except one thing, water was an issue to order to our room, one bottle a day for two people is not enough with the heat. We recommend two bottles for sure!! Otherwise all was excellent!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: A very nice resort

The resort has a beautiful garden with lots of palm trees, different kinds of flowers, benches etc. The swimming pool is just in the middle of the resort. It is big enough and has a swim bar. The lookout tower in the resort offers an amazing view - just like on the pictures you can find on the official website of the hotel. There are lots of cafés and bars, everything is near. The resort has a good service. The way to the beach is short and the beach is large and picturesque. The food is tasty. [... read more] The great advantage of the restaurant are fresh prepared meals such as fish, meat, pancakes, omlets and fruit cocktails. The rooms are big and neat, but the bathrooms don´t offer privacy. There is no door between the washroom and the bedroom.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Not as good as 2017

We just came back Sept 1st stayed for 1 week. We were returned customers went last year around same time. This time we are disappointed with the stay. Hotel overall : we booked for Ocean view room we were given level 2 ocean view..half ocean and half building view. We were given bungalow 2 level 2. Last year we stayed at bungalow 14 level ocean view overlooking the ocean..it was perfect and beautiful . Cleanliness of the room was good..it was well kept clean. We travelled with our son and we wer [... read more]e given only 2 pillows instead of 3. Buffet food: very disappointed ..no lobster or shrimp this year compared to last year. Selections of food has decreased. Too many flies flying around due to they had the door open . Not too happy with the flies..and saw tiny crocroaches crawling around bread section. Ala cart - Mediterranean very very bad .. ordered shrimp pasta..shrimp was okay but pasta we're too soggy and tasteless. Don't bother going to Mediterranean ala cart. Ocean swim was great..saw alot of fishes, star fishes, sea urchin and sea cucumbers. Enjoy swimming with the fishes. Bring goggles a d snorkel set to enjoy . Also bring water shoe.. this will prevent stepping on tiny rocks and you will be able to walk to Pillar beach. Overall we don't think we will go back to this resort.. their standard has gone down compared to 2017.

Hotel Vigia: Great Resort, Would Go Back

The grounds were maintained well, it's an older property, but it was fine. Our rooms were clean and had good pressure, hot water. Our AC worked amazingly. They put a free bottle of water each day in your room. They had target shooting, tennis, paddle boats, and kayaks. WiFi is one peso for one hour in the lobby. The beach was fantastic! White sand, aquamarine water and free of seaweed. Chairs were clean and new, some shaded areas, and close to the BBQ grill and bar. Food was okay at the bu [... read more]ffet; two a la cartes were better, but still had limited ingredients and plates to choose from. There is a snack bar by the pool and a BBQ grill by the beach. They had a great selection of alcohol and all the bar staff was fast and efficient. We went to the sister hotel Sol Cayo Coco and tried their buffet food there and it seemed a bit better quality, but the property wasn't as nice. Staff was engaged and friendly. They had a really good night show each evening. They had some upper management always checking the standards around the property (shirt and tie guys). Overall, we had a great time in late August and we did not have any issues with the weather. It rained a couple of times early in the morning for about 15 min. Would go back.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Nice Resort & Clean

I new the grounds would be well kept and up to Iberostar standards. The location was beautiful and the water was like stepping into a lagoon. It is not your typical beach front property so I missed being able to walk along the beach shore. I was disappointed in the availability of standard items (towels in the room, no tissues, asking numerous times for an extra pillow, or just getting the room cleaned on a daily basis). I believe having more staff in the buffet dining area serving at the gr [... read more]ills would cut down on extremely long wait times of 20 minutes or more to get an omellete or grilled chicken/steak/pork etc. at meal time. The resort could do with another bar area and more servers at the bar. The small bar space in the lobby was always very congested with few people behind the bar serving. Also, most of the staff were very young and inexperienced with hospitality. They spoke very little English which was frustrating especially when a good portion of their clientele are English speaking visitors. While I am not a picky person and enjoyed our stay, I felt frustrated with the mentioned deficiencies. I have been to other Iberostars in Cuba and Jamaica in the past so I expected better from this holiday experience. I would not go back to that Iberostar location but would try another Iberostar.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Nothing more than a 3 star hotel

This hotel fell short when it came to service and room. The food was ok considering it's Cuba and our expectation wasn't that high. I visited many islands and stayed at The Royalton, Melia (in Cuba), the Rui and Grand Playdium etc. And this hotel was our least favourite. I would never go back to a Memories and never recommend it to anyone. I went for a destination wedding and would not have chosen this hotel as my number one choice. We had ants in our room, the was pressure was poor and the faucet on the sink was leaking. Our bed sheet never got changed and there was a fowl odour in our room. What a nightmare. Another disgusting thing were the amount of cats there were around the resort. This hotel needs a real wake up call. Tell me how a hotel as big as this does not have a shutter service for people to move around or a car rental. I hope this could help in assisting some change.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: My Oasis ❤️ 20+ Repeat Guest

This is a smaller resort; which I love. Daily activities around the pool and beach throughout the day. Great athmoshphere and entertainment at the lobby during evenings. A show every night to watch. Beach parties, Nightime dancing after the shows, Disco visit twice a week; excellent!!! Despite the recovery ongoing for this area since the hurricane last year, plantation is being restored; most facilities are open with the exception of the grill restaurant...a work in progress. Food i [... read more]s fine for me, I am a picky eater but I always have options. Rooms are fine; keep in mind this is not a new resort. The beach is beautiful, the staff is amazing. I found this place and have named it my second home. I would definitely recommend. P.S Please remember to bring sunscreen, bug repellent, basic medical travel kit for emergencies; these are not commonly found in Cuba. Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Amazing resort!!!

This was a great resort. The best resort yet I have visited in cuba so far. It was amazingly super clean everywhere all the time. The employees were exceptionally polite and always ready to help you in any way. The pools were great, the beach was so peaceful and beautiful. I was very happy with this vacation. I give it a 10 on 10. I would certainly revisit this resort in the future for sure.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Nice place

Very nice organized , very clean and comfortable . Most of the people were very polite. Food wasn’t too great, but its because the overall limitations the country has. Other hotels like iberostar daikiri was better in terms of food quality and beach service

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Best Beachside Resort

The hotel is located close to an amazing white sand beach. The water is crystal clear and calm most of the time. The staff is great especially the ones serving and preparing the drinks. The pool is amazing. The food is mostly Cuban dishes. Try to get the Diamond Club if you stay there.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Grand Muthu Hotel

Grounds well maintained. Room very clean and large with a king bed. Buffet restaurant was clean with very helpful staff. There were good choices for food. A lot of mango every day. The pool area restaurant is open 24 hours with three choices hotdog, burger or sandwich. If you like espresso cafe then lobby bar and pool area restaurant have the espresso. machines. The only complain : I wish they will find a way to make more shade available around the pool area.

The overall impression of the hotel was good!The food was excellent as well as the friendly. staff members. However something that could be improved is changing the cushions in main lobby as well the decorative pillows and cover sheets in the rooms and the pool was bit small .

This resort is absolutely amazing. Very happy with the excellent service. Excellent room cleaning every day. Never missing towels for shower or beach towels. Staff is excellent. Always pleasant and ready and willing to help you in any way. Beach is breathtaking. Restaurants super clean. Resort looks like a postcard at all times of the day. Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing beach but not the greatest resort

If you are looking for the most beautiful and amazing beach and ocean then pls go to this resort, however if you are looking for great food, nice rooms and fantastic entertainment then you should go elsewhere. The food was at best mediocre and the resort was dirty. The pools were not swimable due to discussion g and dirty water, it was murky and there were dirty cups flowing everywhere. Muthu Colonial Hotel: Beautiful and Different architecture

The hotel and the rooms are lean and spacious, food is typical cuban but the high light of the hotel besides of the regular pool, is the fresh water pool which can be substituted with stormy beach. In general suits to every Kind of tastes.
