Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: INCREDIBLE PLACE!!!

I was so IMPRESSED with the Grand Accomodations; The Activities were fantastic, Yoga, Power boot camps , Reggae dancing, the Beach and pools were gorgeous, the drinks delicious, THE FOOD options were over the top amazing; I have already told my Mom about it; I will be going back for sure.. everything about this resort is fantastic! The staff are AMAZING and the place is so accomodating ; I felt like a princess the entire time there!

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: The People are What Makes it 5 Stars

My wife and I just returned from Sandals Ochi Beach Resort. It was the third Sandals we've been to and we had a great time but it wasn't the resort itself that made the trip memorable, it was the people. This was our first trip to Jamaica and we really didn't any preconceptions as to what to expect. My wife's parents and another couple went along with us and we were just looking to relax and enjoy as much as we could. I'll break it down fore review: Getting There Getting to the resort after landing in Montego Bay was painful. It's a long drive. On a good day it's probably 90 minutes. When we went, there was a kite festival going on which jammed traffic and extended the trip to over two hours. It was somewhat entertaining to watch cars, trucks and big buses passing us on both sides of our bus while police at the side of the road just let it happen. It's amazing there aren't far more accidents. The Resort Layout Sandals Ochi is two resorts in one. There is the hillside butler village and great house, which used to be a separate resort until Sandals bought it. Then there is the original beach resort. The two pieces are separated by the main road that runs through Ocho Rios and you go back and forth using The Hop, which is a shuttle bus. The system runs well and we never waited long to go from one side to the other. Even though the Hop is efficient, we found this division in the resort to be a real impediment to taking part in a lot of activities. Most of the nightly entertainment occurs on the beach side. After an active day in the sun, we often did not have the energy to wait up, get on the bus, go beachside for the show and return. I much prefer just being able to walk to whatever is happening. This element is probably the one that will prevent us from returning to this particular Sandals resort. The Resort Facilities The resort provides a wide range of service and activities. Everything from a spa to water sports, golf, other games and activities has enough to keep you as busy as you care to be. Even just staying around the pool or the beach can keep you active as the Playmakers roam around and engage guests in various games. We had no complaints at all in this area. Guest Rooms We stayed in the butler village in a four unit building with it's own pool. Of the three Sandals I've been to, this one was probably the most dated as far as the accommodations were concerned. The suite we had felt "old" and while comfortable was not what I would consider luxurious. For the first couple of days we had no hot water and the air conditioning system had a hard time cooling the living room. We raised these matters to staff and they worked quickly to resolve them. We eventually got some hot water but it was never really sufficient for a good shower and certainly not a bath. We heard that some units had problems where they had too much hot water and couldn't make it cool enough. It seems that the upper units got less hot water and the lower ones got more. Our private pool needed a good cleaning before any of us would use it and on the third day we were there someone came by and scrubbed the algae off the walls. Restaurants There are a lot of restaurants available serving different styles of cuisine. Overall, the restaurants and the food quality were very good. Each restaurant had its own distinct styling and ranged from glamorous to casual. We ate in a different one each night and had no complaints about any of them, other than for slow service in one, but we were on vacation and in no rush. The People When we went to Sandals Halcyon years ago we fell in love with the people who worked there in St Lucia. Then we went to Emerald Bay the year that it opened and had a distinctly different experience as the Bahamians seemed far less outgoing and engaging. The staff at Sandals Ochi brought back the magic. I have to say that everyone we met who worked at Sandals Ochi were simply amazing. They were incredibly friendly and approachable. My wife and I got to learn a lot about Jamaica just from speaking to the staff every day. By the end of the week it was like talking to old friends. And they weren't just friendly, they tried really hard to make sure that anything we needed was provided....from the resort General Manager through to the grounds keepers. I can't imagine a better team to work with than the Sandals Ochi team. They were simply awesome. The Best for Last We stayed in the butler village and were incredibly lucky to have Shenae and Moria as our butlers. These two ladies were the highlight of our vacation. To say they were our butlers is a disservice. More accurately, they were Jamaican ambassadors, cultural representatives and great new friends. Shenae and Moria provided anything we needed and many things that we never even thought to ask for, working invisibly to us, setting up little surprises that made us smile. They would stop by to see how we were doing and then stay and talk, answering all of our questions and giving us insights about Jamaica and the Jamaican people. My wife and I renewed our wedding vows while we were at Sandals Ochi and Shenae attended the ceremony after driving us over and walking us to the gazebo where it took place. At the pool, we also had cabana butlers. Richardo and Odeon also were incredible. Basically, anything that comes across as a negative in this review was far overshadowed by the incredibly positive experiences we had interacting with the staff at Sandals Ochi. Final Impression We loved our vacation and especially the people that we met. You will not regret staying at Sandals Ochi, but I'm not sure that I would go back. The split resort concept and the drive to get there are the two factors involved. I suspect that we will go back to another Sandals in Jamaica. We are thinking about Sandals White House...though I hear the drive to that is pretty bad as well, but there is a helicopter option which we might try.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: 5 Star all the way!

The Hyatt Zilara hotel has it all! Visited with friends and everyone agreed the food was simply incredible! Lots of fun activities, beautiful beach area...Loved it! The staff were simply the best! We all felt so welcomed! We will be back!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice resort

My sister and I had a wonderful time at this resort . Staff were very friendly and always asked if we were enjoying our stay . The only thing I didn't care for was smelly carpeting in hallway . Otherwise the resort was great !

Melia Braco Village: Wonderful resort!

The resort was breathtakingly beautiful, clean and with wonderful staff who made our vacation very memorable and personal. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared with wonderful presentation. Our room was pretty, clean and with a gorgeous garden view. The entertainment was captivating and exciting. I enjoyed Melia Bravo Village very much...and will return one day.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice Resort!

Although this resort is very large the food and grounds were excellent. One thing we found while staying is that if you miss breakfast there is nothing to eat until lunch is served. Staff were very friendly and always willing to please. Plan your routes accordingly and be sure to book your a lacartes first thing as they fill up fast or so we were told. Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Great Resort

Great Resort from the rooms to the service and the pool area. Loved the restaurants we ate at: Kelly's, Valentino's, The Sky Terrace, Southern Table. We spent most of our days at the Great House Pool and enjoyed the daily activities. Service was outstanding at the restaurants and the swim up bar.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Royal Decameron Montego Beach

Nice small size hotel/resort. No waiting in line for anything. Great food. Comfortable room. Friendly staff. Evening shows were a bit lame. Hip Strip was underwhelming. Lots of pushy vendors. Hired a taxi for a non scheduled day trip to Negril. Well worth the money. Highlight of the trip. Have lunch at the "Canoe" beachside restaurant. Best food of the week and they make Ceasars!

Grand Pineapple Beach: Sweet Jamaica

The Grand Pineapple is an excellent hotel with fantastic staff who are friendly and take care of all your needs. Food was awesome, facilities were clean, beach area was great. I would definitely return here again!

Grand Pineapple Beach: Amazing staff!

Grounds are well maintained, buffet had good variety, meals were well done. Excellent location, magnificent beach! Was not pleased with the accomodations, the rooms and bathroom was clean but dated the safe was rusty, the rooms and bathrooms need to be renovated / updated.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Nice resort

The hotel was very clean, very modern, beautiful rooms with cool furniture. Beds were very comfortable. Loved the hideaway pool and beach, very quiet. Didn't see any shows at night, not sure if they had any. Food was delicious, however, at the a la cartes be prepared to wait for your food. Some meals we waited around 2 hours. This will be a great resort once it is fully up and running.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Amazing

Our group of four stayed here April 15 2017 for a week I would just like to say every room faces the ocean Food was fantastic didn't need to eat anywhere else the selection was great Rooms very clean and roomy Staff always pleasent and greeted you with smiles and hellos always Hotel director Monica always around to answer questions or take comments Pool large and very clean Hotel interior and exterior cleaned each day all day long Would return in a heart beat

Grand Pineapple Beach: Great place for a get away

This place was amazing. Food was fabulous, staff were friendly and curtious. bathroom needed a update but we did stay in the room too much. Great assortment of activities and the best sunsets every night!

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Royal Decameron

Very clean Amazing food Outside was very well kept Service was great Friendly staff Beautiful scenery Entertainment was enjoyable, felt safe with security on hand , close to airport . Only complaint is there is no clocks around the hotel or alarm clocks in the bedrooms.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Jamaica Royal Decameron Cornwall

The resort was over all great. Food was good 😊 rooms are clean and the resort is nice and compact. Unfortunately there is no day entertainment of any kind. There is no activities. No drink of the day ... no games ... no nothing. There is a band over supper that is nice( same one for 7 days).and a singer and band ( same one for 7 nights). But truly that is all that needs to be changed. Everyone is happy and wonderful... go have fun

The grounds are well kept, the beach clean The rooms are actually like they look on line , nice and comfortable food was good, drinks were nice and cold the a la carte restaurant are excellent The staff was very helpful

Coco La Palm: Awesome Resort

Grounds were well kept, staff very friendly and accommodating, felt that they really cared about us. Food at Marley's Restaurant was excellent and the presentation was top notch. Waiters and waitresses were very good at their jobs and gave us superb service. Room was nice and good size but not having a balcony was a little disappointing, missed having the daytime sunlight off the balcony.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Wonderful Family Vacarion

This resort is a force to be reckoned with! It has the most beautiful beach and my son simply adored the kids club - he is 4. Food was very good and the buffet was always filling. Sure, sometimes they ran out of stuff the later you arrived, but there was always food. The restaurants were nice, but the steakhouse was quite impressive. We also enjoyed lunch at the Italian restaurant and they catered to specific requests from my son. The resort is brand spanking new and they are ironing out th [... read more]e kinks, but I noticed improvement during the week we were there. Gorgeous pools and spectacular rooms. We stayed in a presidential one bedroom diamond club suite. Premium liquor, and alright wine. The evening entertainment needs a boost. I'm sure they will get there.

Sandals Inn: The Inn

Every single thing about the Carlyle was beautiful. The people were amazing, the food was fantastic and the warm feeling you got everyday just felt amazing. We felt so welcome everyday and made some life long friends!

Fun Holiday Beach Resort: Out dated

Everything I read on trip advisor was true. From being outdated to no wifi. We had no water a few times and it made it hard to use the washroom. The meals were never on time and there seemed to be the same pastas and fruit everyday. I didn't like the fact at dinner in the evening while you were eating some people were walking thru from the beach. We had told them about the wifi it was fixed and running for about two days and then none for the rest of the week. We were not impressed that we had t [... read more]o leave our room at 12pm and wasn't catching our bus until 5:20. We were put into another room with other people until then. Its a shame this could be a really nice place if the the place was updated and paid attention to their guests when they had complaints.
