Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Awesome resort & staff

Being in the hospitality industry for over 26 years I would only give an honest true review unlike many guests out there who like to over exaggerate their imperfect experience. This scares the hell out of me when I've booked a resort and start reading horror stories and actually end up with an amazing place. I have travelled to many places in the Caribbean and I would have to say this hotel was exceptionally clean and well taken care of in every area. Usually the washrooms by the beach and pool can be a bit dingy and unkept because of all the sand etc. NOT this hotel!! The service was IMPRESSIVE! I have to say, out of every resort I have been too Iberostar Rose Hall was #1 for fast friendly service! I was blown away, this made our trip so great:) The food was amazing as well and I'm a very picky eater. I hope you read this review and know it's a 100% honest review :) Happy travels and checkout the Iberostar anywhere because they have built an amazing brand with even better staff!

Jewel Paradise Cove: Lovely resort

Just returned from a week long stay at Jewel Paradise Cove...had a fabulous time...resort is very well maintained...staff are great, as was the food and nightly entertainment.. 2 beaches are crappy, though...very small and shallow...pools help make up for it. Rooms are lovely, but very small. As I was travelling with my brother, we had twin beds, which I haven't slept in since I was a child! It was comfortable, just too small...no room for bigger beds in our room, though. All in all great resort, but not if you love long walks on the beach, or an enormous resort.

Jewel Paradise Cove: Enjoyable resort

Stayed at the jewel paradise cove from April 13 to April 20,2017. Resort was small but well layed out. Rooms are smallish but adequate for two people. King size bed comfortable. Mini fridge filled daily with beverages. Chambermaids kept room clean. Air con worked well. Pools good but most scenic pool area overlooking ocean very small with only about 12 loungers and always unavailable. Beach bbq would have been fun but unfortunately weather did not cooperate. 2 excursions included in price were enjoyable. Nice that more money was not required. Beach area was the only reason I would not return to this resort. Beaches are so small and water is shallow. Staff at this resort are outstanding. They certainly have been trained well in customer service.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Amazing Resort

From airport to airport everything was smooth. First we got a free upgrade to the Rose Hall Grand from the Suites resort. From here we found heaven. The beach, the food, the service was top notch. The people working here are second to none. They are always at your service looking to do something special to make your stay memorable. They accomplished it all with flying colors. The cleanliness of this resort needs to be commended. I have never seen a resort beach washroom be so clean and smell so  [... read more]clean. (LOL but true). A special thanks to Kevin Dupuis at Trip Central Sudbury for making this trip so easy to book and make happen. Your expertise is greatly appreciated. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking to be catered to and spoiled.

Riu Montego Bay: Better than Expected!

Our Booking with trip Central agent Jack Gentile was spot on, he delivered every thing as promised. Sunwing check in was swift and uncomplicated. We did have one issue however, with the ability to book excursions onboard flight. I would not recommend it if attending this destination Riu Montego Bay. Although it was designed to save us money from $122. USD at the resort we paid $107CND on the plain. The Sunwing Nexus agent at the resort was not happy with us. We found the same excursion and bette [... read more]r for $59. through the Scuba caribe company on the beach. So be advised. Hotel checkin was fine our room, Garden view was very clean 2313, our cleaning staff Shanique was very attentive with any extras we asked for and always a Towel design left each day, very professional. Any staff we met where always quick with a smile and everything ERIE Mon? Staff, at the bars were very attentive, Obrian stood out aswell as many others, Chop Chop at the jerk Chicken hut was Great. Entertainment staff always stopped and visited on the beach, Damion was Great to give his perspective on Jamaican life and history, Fyar and Sunshine always funny to chat with and again full of information through their life experiences in Jamaica. The Beach was very nice and neatly kept although small and bordered by non accessible adjoining hotels. The Ocean was a disappointment the bottom was clay/ mucky or sea grass covered and usually murky. The buffet was very good with plenty of variety Lance and Teveca always with coffee , water and wine. The entire Jamaica experience for us was better than Expected, will definitely return.

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Best one yet for me

The Royal Decameron Montego Beach was very nice, rite on the beach with the view of Montego Bay with our ocean view room 421 which was first time we had a ocean view room.The room was big,easy to get around,clean and bathroom also except for regulating the hot water to cold water, but after being on the beach all day,who needs hot water just to clean up for supper.The elevator was great for us because I have canes and my wife wears a knee brace sometimes to get around.The food was great,lots to  [... read more]eat and the omelets were very good, hats off to Captain Kurt which I think he went by and Daniel and girl I can not remember her name waiting the tables buy the railings next to the beach bar. I had one problem with the fish soup which had a pepper in it which I bit into and my water glass stayed at my mouth for about ten minutes and the chef came down and showed me what it looked like and was sorry for my situation but the soup was great, ate it all.The beach was small but you only want to get wet plus swim around a little bit and then their was Christaphur, the life guard who was entertaining in so many ways, it was hard to keep up with him, but he did get Captain Poly to pick us up at our dock for a tour in the glass bottom boat Miss Poly which my last name is Polley We went with 3 other couples so some shopping on the strip was done and a drink at MargaritaVille which was busy.Only one complain would be their should be a fridge in your room at no cost only for what you buy and put in it,wine, beer and water which is free and for that reason when we go back their with my canes, I will try to book room 101 to 106, close to everything that I went for on our vacation.Over all, if you want a small getaway, this is the best one yet for me and my wife, highly recommended.

Couples Sans Souci: Perfect for us!

The grounds were beautiful with plenty of little places to stop and admire the view or take pics. There were two beaches, one au natural and one textile. Three restaurants, a good lunch buffet plus room service and in room bars made this resort one to return to.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Family trip

Couples Swept Away: Fantastic Vacation!

Overall, this place was beautiful and relaxing. The beach is one of the best we've seen with crystal clear water, little waves and sand like powder. The food is great - the 2 a la cart restaurants are spectacular but do fill up quickly with reservations. The only downfalls would be that space to sit in your room is limited to one chair or the bed, there is a lot of road noise in the garden verandah suites and the grounds aren't exactly lush - but the fact that the resort basically sits right on  [... read more]the beach more than makes up for that. The service and quality at every bar was awesome. We went scuba diving with the crew on site and had a great time. The people in general in Jamaica are the most welcoming and kind of all the countries we've been to. We will definitely return.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Holiday Inn resort mobay jamaica

Our family, two adults from Alberta, three adults from here with a teenager went to the Holiday Inn resort. We found the food awesome, drinks flowed, and staff professional. Special shout out to entertainment staff Theron, excellent driver Mike M. Who took us to our excursions, wait staff Odaine and Ewan and all the great housekeeping people. Couples Swept Away: Beautiful place!

This hotel is on the most perfect part of seven mile beach. The resort is very well kept, the rooms are slightly dated but still nice and clean. The beds are on the firm side. The food was surprisingly delicious with a wide variety of options. The activities that are included are fantastic, especially the catamaran cruise! Most of the staff is very friendly. There are vendors on the beach that do try to engage but they do leave you alone if you say you are not interested. Overall, fantastic stay [... read more]! Highly recommend.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort

Nice rooms just a little tired, great view and awesome food. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was the elevator. We were on the 7th floor and the one elevator was soooo slow.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: One of the top resorts

Recently undergone renovations.We were there five years ago and what a difference ,All for the better.Fantastic staff.Try as I may I can not think of anything that we didn't like.Actually there is one thing.The way you are hounded by staff trying to get you to take an excursion,go to the Spa or take a two hour tour of the facility for a few token gifts.

Grand Pineapple Beach: nice spot on the beach

many repeat customers loving this place. small size for an AI, nothing fancy, but very cosy. felt safe and welcome here. everyone had fun together. staff were pleasant and relaxed. good variety of food, no issues and i appreciated seeing local items. hope the grand pineapple stays put for a long time.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Great Resort!

The best feature of Ochi is the staff. Always inclusive and making sure your having a great time. The grounds are beautifully kept as well as one of the beach areas. Food was very good as was the drinks. My only negative comment is on check in we did not get the room we paid for. They did fix it but this seemed to be a common problem amongst many people we talked to. As well the rooms are quite small.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Overall a great and relaxing getaway at the Lady Hamilton

We just got back from the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton and overall we had a great time. Below is some of my pros and cons Pro: Staff very nice and friendly Layout of resort to be easy and walk-able Pool area nice and clean. Beach area was nice ( a little small) Sunset cove area was amazing (quiet and not as windy) Restaurants we very good. My favs was the Creole, Chez Bubba and Poseidon. You need to go to the Jerk Hut at Sunset Cove. Worth the walk! The lounge area is a great place t [... read more]o go and relax after dinner. Nice entertainment and cozy chairs to sit in and watch. Cons (But not deal breakers): Room took a while to get cleaned. Usually our room was not cleaned until close to 4 pm. We found some of the restaurants a little cold so you may need to bring something to keep you warm unless you sit outside. If you have younger children be leery of the the night time shows. We found them to be a little too much for our 6 year old to watch. Also, if you want to be closer to the main pool area and lounge try to Villa 27,28. If you want to be near Sunset Cover and a more quieter area of the resort try Villa 35,36. Again not too much of a walk but if you have small children and prefer not to carry them after a long day/evening Villa 27,28 might be better for you.

Riu Reggae: Just a fantastic place

We stayed in April at Riu Reggae and had great temperature the whole week .The staff are great people and make your stay even better .The rooms are nothing fancy but new ,kept clean ,spacious and had 4 bottles of liquor so no complains there and we had a garden view by the fence that turned out to be a great ocean view from the top floor and we saw lots of cruise ships go by at night .The grounds are also well kept with lots of fresh trees and plants but will be better when fully grown (still ne [... read more]w).And for the food well we had lobster ,shrimp, steak ,and lots of jerk chicken and all the salads you can imagine and all the desserts you could imagine,,,,really something for everybody...All the workers even the security where very friendly and wanted you to fell welcomed Thank you to all of you xo ...Don't miss the beach party on Sundays ,great time. And they do free tie die on the beach but you can give a donation ,well worth it . Oh and if you need transportation or private tours call Neville ..the best and very respectful...would definitely recommend Neville and the hotel to friends

Grand Pineapple Beach: Nice little gem

We had a fabulous time at Grand Pineapple. Loved that it was a smaller resort, beachside cottage was great as everything was close by. Was a bit loud at times so I recommend earplugs for those of us that have trouble sleeping, which I was prepared for and it was fine. Rooms were clean, staff was great, helped us with anything we needed, i.e. hair dryer was missing, best to check everything in the room right away. Security on the beach could've been a bit better but they did step in if vendor [... read more]s didn't leave someone alone. They thought I was walking the beach alone at one point and stopped to check in with me which my boyfriend appreciated, so I guess it's not recommended you do that by yourself but I did see women walking alone, I didn't feel unsafe at any point. Beach was beautiful, sunsets spectacular. Lots of chairs, still got out at a decent time if you want a certain spot as people still do take the prime locations if you want shade, but all in all wasn't a problem. Unfortunately there were no floatation devices supplied so people brought there own or bought them and left them so we ended up with a couple that got left on the beach. Food was pretty good, few things looked and tasted like they were out of a box, but all in all no complaints, there was fish, chicken and pork most nights along with other things. Patties only showed up twice, I think most would like to see more of that, but my guess is they want to support the vendors on the beach selling them. Would've liked to see more fresh fruit. Salads were good and nice choice of desserts each day only they need more as some items would run out if you waited too long. Stayed away from the cheap booze as it didn't work for me, but thoroughly enjoyed the pinacoladas and banana shakes made with fresh fruit, far better than some of the bigger resorts. Would be nice if wifi was included, but we just paid for it as we needed it. We would stay there again, great place for those who like a smaller resort and are more into the beach than the pool. Crossing guards were great and always there to help. We didn't venture out of the resort as we enjoyed just hanging out there, some of the live music was good, but don't expect a lot of nightlife in this place, it's more of a chill out kinda place and the guests there were all about the same, only a few kids, good crowd, no one got carried away. There's an option of going to Alfred's bar next door but didn't check it out, it can get really loud late a night but it wasn't as bad as some reviews made it out to be. Earplugs also helped out with the rooster and tree frogs lol.

Royalton Hideaway Negril: Awesome Resort

We arrived 3 weeks after they opened and considering staff was still learning, we had a Fantastic time. The resort has so much to offer something for everyone. The food preparation at the Buffet was top notch. So many choices for everyone. The restaurants on site had fantastic food. Service in the restaurants was slow but hey you're in Jamaica and everything is a bit slower. They have a Sports bar that becomes a disco later in the night. The coffee bar made great lattes, espressos and cappu [... read more]ccinos. They had a soft serve ice cream machine that was a hit with the kids and adults. They had non-motorized paddle boots, standup boogie boards, single or double kayaks and tons of life jackets. The beach was the best, clean and you could walk out quite far. Lots of lifeguards and security around too. We had an oceanfront room with a king sized bed. In room fridge was well stocked. Hubby loved the jacuzzi tub! We knew we were in for a great time when we arrived and saw the escalator!!

Riu Reggae: Loved this resort!

This resort is close to the airport which is a bonus!!! It is very new & modern, nice and clean, the service was great, the food was great, everyone was friendly. I am so glad I chose this resort. I typically do not like going to the same resort but for this one I will be returning soon.
