Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing resort!
This hotel is great. The ocean and the beach are awesome...We walked and walked. Met a lot of french people. The Cubans are amazing people...We had brought clothes and toys and the smallest thing you give them is like a million bucks.... The only drawback is the long wait in line-ups for meals. There were 2100 people last week on the resort. So, needless to say, line-ups were long and some people are obnoxious and don't like to wait... But, overall, we are very satisfied and will definite [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Below standard

Melia Jardines del Rey: A resort making improvements
The resort was good. The food was not great even for Cuba. The other Melias have way better food and options. The pools were great. There were enough huts at the ocean for everyone but you needed to get chairs by 9:30am. They are making more improvements to expand the beach amenities. A bar was being built during the week we were there. It should be operational now as the grills and water were in when we left. O am not sure I would go back to this resort. I would stay at other Melias though.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: 2nd time @ Luna Mares AMAZING
We just came back from Luna Mares and this resort is Beautiful, grounds are amazing , beach is amazing. Hotel is almost completed it's renovations. So much to see in Holguin. I cannot wait to go back in Oct. Just love the place, people and the country.
Sol Palmeras: Sol Palmeras
Best part of this resort was the food. They have their own bakery so the bread, buns. croissants ect. were amazing and made daily. Omelets made to order in the morning, pasta chef in the evenings along with whatever else you can think of to eat. Beaches were great, hotel staff very good. First room we had was awful, broken shelves, broken door, small. We upgrades to a bungalow, which was much better. Centrally located. Would I stay there again... yes I would.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: SolRio de Luna y Mares, Houlgin, Cuba

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Awesome Resort!!
My wife and I recently returned from this 5-star resort! It was our first time to Cuba! I can't say enough about how perfect the 7 days went. Right from the Trip Central Rep-Bev- right through to the flight and coach to the Hotel! The resort lived up to its 5 star rating. The staff were so nice as we found all the Cuban people we met! Food was plentiful, creative and very palatable! Nightly entertainment and grounds were awesome! We will definitely be returning again-hopefully sooner than later.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: First experience with all inclusive
Rooms were clean and met expectations - no hot water for 5 days did not. Lobby was attractive though 5 tour reps commandeering tables all day, everyday left less seating for guests to enjoy the atmosphere. Food was good, a la carte restaurants were great, especially Sakura! Pools ok...everything seemed bunched together; very little opportunity to sit in shade or away from all the noise of pool area.Fountains and hot tubs were not running during our stay- too bad. Service was pleasant and he [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: Tryp with tripcentral
Had a wonderful one week stay at the Tryp in February 2018. Had an issue with non-functional electrical outlets in the room but that was dealt with quickly with a temporary fix for the first night and a proper repair the next day. Rooms were clean. Food was good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was construction happening as they were still recuperating after the big storm last fall. There were several blocks of rooms still under renovations so the resort was not completely operat [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: So disappointed
The resort itself was beautiful...and thats where it stops. The food was horrible, the buffet had bugs (like infested), you couldn't sit down with out swatting several away. The plates were dirty, if you could find a plate. The bathrooms by the buffet were missing the toilet seats for a few days. We had no hot water after our first day till our last day. And when we did get water it trickled out and you would barely get wet. The drinks, we seldom got what we asked for. I stopped having any drin [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Great relaxing time
Food - great! Some repetition at the buffet, but lots to choose from. A la carte restaurants were also well above our expectations. We recommend them. Staff - excellent - friendly - when our safe stopped working in the room, they had it fixed within 15 minutes Beach - very windy - we stayed by the pool Grounds - gardeners are working to plant new bushes, flowers, and palm trees. The destruction from hurricane Irma is still very evident. We would return to this resort. Just know [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Fantastic stay
I was impressed with this hotel. The staff at this Resort made our stay very enjoyable. I traveled alone with my daughter who is in a wheelchair, the front desk staff made our trip. The staff made sure that we were on the ground floor in a newly renovated room which had a walk in shower. Everyone was very friendly and very attentive to my daughter and myself. The food at the buffet was so so we dined mostly at the El carts. The grounds were absolutely beautiful and very easy t [... read more]
Hotel Vigia: Good resort
The grounds around the rooms were a little barren probably because of the hurricane in 2017 but was still decent. The rooms were nice but the housekeeping was non existent after day 3 of 7. The beach was very nice but there were a lot of small shells in the sand. Water was amazing and had very little seaweed. The food was decent but didn't have much variety. Omelettes in the morning and crepes were both good. Staff were very friendly and the entertainment crew was very involved and energetic. Th [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Walkways require improvement
Although I understand the effects of the recent hurricane on the buildings and vegetation and trees there are some areas that require improvement and should be repaired or replaced right away because they are dangerous. I am referring to the sidewalks/patios. The concrete sidewalks and patios are crumbling. Some sidewalks are built with older pieces of concrete which can easily be tripped over. The wooden sidewalk around the pool has loose slats and the support beneath the slats is deteriora [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Melia Marina Varadero
This was our third time visiting this hotel and a few things had changed the buffet wasn't as good as previous years and our room had a musty smell and the furniture were damaged and the lamp shades stained.the service was better than ever ,the entertainment was excellent .The beach grill wasn't operating and the marina and some of the shops were closed .we had a very relaxing week and still enjoyed the hotel and would recommend it but may or may not return because of the many steps and wal [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Another wonderful vacation! !
The resort is better than ever due to the hard work and dedication of the Cuban people after such a devastating hurricane. They not only had to look after their homes and families but made sure that their places of employment were looked after. The beach, gardens and pools are beautiful, food was great and in abundance and room was spotless! Nothing to complain about!!!
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Sol Rio de Luna Y Mares
The grounds are beautifully kept; imaginative laid out and even at night are tastefully lite up. Food is good with lots of variety. Staff is pleasant and friendly. The water ballet and many shows in the theatre and the lobby bar were entertaining although some were quite loud. My major suggestion is to stop the Beach parties at midnight or at the latest 12:30. They went on until 2:00 a.m. At most resorts that I've stayed at the noise stops at midnight. What percentage of t [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Hurricane Comeback!
Melia Cayo Coco is a gem of an adults only resort, with good food, great beaches and wonderful staff. Although this was our first visit, many we met have been coming back for years. The staff is working very hard to restore the grounds to their pre-hurricane beauty. They are doing more than that, they are upgrading as they go. The pool was busy all day. The beach, though windy for much of our stay. was raked and covered with new shade. But the staff is the real gem, concerned entirely that [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Huge disappointment
The grounds of the resort were very well kept and the weather was wonderful but that was the only positive part. Some of the staff were very rude and 24 hour snack shack and bar was out of most items most of the time. We arrived late and had to go to bed hungry. Out of the 7 days we were there We had no hot water for 6 Of them. Rooms were nice but took forever for them to make them up each day. We did complain but never got any satisfaction. I would definitely NOT recommend this resort to anyone [... read more]

The resort was beautiful, beach was gorgeous. Staff were very friendly. Food was pretty good for Cuba. Always found something good to eat without being too repetative. Entertainment was fantastic. Overall a great vacation.
