Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: BEST RESORT EVER

This was the best resort I have ever stayed at. The grounds were well kept the food was in an abundance and my children were very well treated by all staff. The beach / deck was a great compromise from what would be your typical conventional beach. There was nothing that was not available. We opted to skip the a- la cart to go to the buffet because of the different selection daily. The pool always had chairs available and was well serviced my waiters. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Greatly enjoyable time spent at Iberostar Daiquiri in Cayo Guillermos

The rooms are not the best but the people working at this hotel are wonderful. The grounds are lovely. The lobby set up is really nice and comfortable to hang out in. The food was excellent in particular at the buffet. Again the people serving and cooking are very delightful and welcoming. The evening shows were a bit too Los Vegas for my taste but the talent was exceedingly great. The sound in the theatre was terrible but the dancers and the choreographer were amazing. The one night that they h [... read more]ad a live Cuban band with the dancers was the best in my opinion. This quintet would also perform in the lobby on several evening. They were great musicians. The beach was very beautiful and we enjoyed many good swims while we were there. I'm a wind surfer and there was some good wind but they only had a few pieces old windsurfing gear. I brought my own harness and left them some harness lines. I was able to utilize what they had but I highly recommend bring your own equipment if you want to sail. There is no one who rents wind surfing equipment but ther are a few very good kite surfing schools with good equipment.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Looking forward to our 5th visit

This was our 4th visit and once again we had a great time.This hotel never feels full or overcrowded. There is no rushing for chairs early in the morning because there is the ocean to sit at and there are lots of pool recliners. If you put your stuff on the chairs before 9 am and are not there, the staff removes them and puts it on the bar for you to retrieve.The pool could be warmer is our only complaint. They changed the menu every day and even into the second week they changed it so it would not repeat the first. The theme restaurants were good. Our favorite was the Pacific and the Mexican was our least. The ocean bar and snack shop was our favorite. We had a beach walk out room which if you do not spend anytime in them will get damp. We would always work our way back to our walkout patio in the afternoon so then our ac would be going more so our room stayed dry. The staff was very friendly and could not do enough for us this year. They really try to get everyone involved in there daytime activities. Overall we have only good things to say about the resort.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Good value for your money.

Compact: everything was easily accessible from your room--dining, pool, beach. I liked that. Not large: was nice to keep meeting same people; Family atmosphere between guests and staff. Food quite good (lobster was served at the buffet! ) and served a variety of items so it was not same menu every meal. Staff very friendly. Pools were great. Cleanliness of room was good. Poor waterpressure and luke warm hot water. Having to pay for use of the safe was a drag. Beach needed to be raked  [... read more]more frequently. Terrible WIFI. Advt said 15 min from airport..not too..more like 50 minutes.

Hotel Mojito: We loved Cuba

We liked the resort a lot!!!!! The room we had was clean and had lots of room. The grounds were kept nice and clean as well. The staff was very friendly and very helpful!!!!! We enjoyed interacting with staff during volleyball games and meeting other guests. Great trip we definitely will be back!!!!

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Last minute vacation

Everything was wonderful. The grounds are great as long as you choose ocean view. The beach was nice but a bit rocky. The activities staff were wonderful. The weather could have been better. Thanks to Teresa for helping me to plan the trip a day prior to departure. She was extremely helpful!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: OK spot

We found the staff that we had contact with were very helpful and friendly. Especially in the dining room they were amazing. But the house keeping needed some tips on how to clean. Yes the bed was made and floor was wiped. But when we arrived I noticed that the dust on the night table was there for quite a while and took days before it was cleaned. And not sure that our shower was ever cleaned. That was my biggest issue was the room and how it was cleaned.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Good resort

I would rate this resort as a 3.5 star. The grounds were nice and clean. The pools could use a cleaning but weren't too bad. However, if you don't get down early to put your towel on one you are not getting a chair, that goes for the beach too. The beach was beautiful but full of cigarette butts. Which is the patrons fault not the resorts. The beach was also super congested at all times. The staff were all kind and helpful. The rooms were big but in need of some TLC. Last but not least th [... read more]e food, breakfast was decent its worth the wait in the omlet line to have fresh eggs. As for lunch and supper they had a huge selection but nothing had any actual flavour. I would bring your own salt and pepper! We did try three of the restaurants and they were all ok. The Japanese was by far the best and the mist flavourful.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Iberostar Enenachos in Cayo Ensenachos

The hotel is very clean. Lots of fish to eat. Family resort full of entertainment for children. The beach is very shallow and crystal clear water. But what I think is most important is that no one person in the family (2 adults 3 children) did get sick. Definitely a resort I would visit again.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Nice resort

Some concerns: there was poor cleaning in the rooms and we had to ask several times for more soap and more toilet paper. However, the staff and food were great. The only other thing that I did not like was that if you did not tip for the first drink, the server would not come back and one of our group would have to go up to the bar for service.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Amazing and clean resort

Very clean as you almost found no garbage. Workers are very friendly as they made you feel like they want you to stay in the resort at home. They have very good manner and you are willing to give the tips.

Hotel Mojito: Good time!

Just back from a week at the Iberostar Mojito. Travelling with kids and I have to say we had a pretty good time. Rooms were spacious and never had issues with air conditioning or hot water. Bar fridge stocked with water, pop and beer. Food was plentiful, although a bit repititious, we never went hungry. Beach and pool were great!! We took the kids to a climbing gym down the road and they had a blast!

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: A nice resort.

The layout of the resort was well done. On the most part the staff was very friendly. We had a few problems at the start of our vacation, (wrong size of bed, air conditioning not working, and a few other things),but the problems were taken care of immediately. The buffet was OK, the Japanese a la carte was fantastic, but the Mediterranean was horrible. We enjoyed our daily walk to Pilar beach, and the snorkeling around the bay was lots of fun. The evening entertainment was good, some a little be [... read more]tter then others. When we got there we didn't realize that the resort had no bank, so bring cash. The thing I hated most was the fact that people would get up early and putting Items on the pool and beach chairs, then not showing up until later in the day, the was frustrating, just show up and use a chair.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Amazing Hotel with the best staff.

Beautiful well kept grounds. Clean pool with lots of sun loungers brought to you and placed just where you want to relax. Beach,the best I have been to. Again, the staff on the beach were so helpful. Bar staff, especially the Havana beach bar, were exceptional.

Beach was fantastic! Staff were all very helpful and kind. Hotel rooms were OK. Food not so good. Overall nice stay. Always had loungers available either at the beach or the pool. Lots of shade available. Complimentary catamaran ride was awesome!

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Roaches

Roaches followed us all the way home to Canada. Please look into that. We have forwarded complaints about this and are waiting to see what the follow up process is. This is utterly disgusting. Now we have to get someone to fumigate our home. Your comments will be appreciated.

Hotel Mojito: Great Holiday

This is a perfect size resort, nothing is to far, the board walks are very enjoyable to walk day or night between the resort and the beach. Restaurants over the lagoon are very quiet and attractive. All the food was good to very good with a large selection of fruit, vegetable and meat, the line ups were kept short by the great work of the staff. Entertainment for all, we especially enjoyed the Cigar Bar with the live nightly music and of course Freddy the most efficient bar tender ever seen, [... read more] and very funny to. The beach was great to walk on except at very high tide and was long enough to tire everyone who wanted to try to find the end. The Lobby Bar/morning coffee stop was open and well served by the staff who were very helpful with any questions about things to do outside the resort. The only negative was a person at the adult only pool who decided to take one of our towels and chair while we went for lunch. It was handled by the manager, who told us not to worry about the lost towel and she was right it was not brought up again...Thank you.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Iberostar Ensenachos, Cuba March 5 to 12, 2017

Bus ride from airport to resort well organized & smooth. Upon arrival our rooms were ready. Bus boy loaded our luggage onto cart, drove us to our room and he was very friendly. Our room was very clean (2729) Only complaint, the white towels have seen better days, could use a little bleach to camouflage the stains. I asked for more hangers, they appeared 3 days later. The maids kept the room extremely tidy & clean & mini bar was well stocked every day. Bathroom locks on doors in central lobby needed to be replaced & running out of toilet paper & hand towels was an everyday issue. Also that the beach restaurant washroom running out of toilet paper and hand towels was an issue and it was not kept very tidy at all. All meals at the hotel were well prepared and such a lovely large variety. Waiters and waitresses are the Best! Wi-Fi is very slow, you log in you get kicked out & minutes you pay for count. We travel quite a bit, & this is the 1st time we had airplane malfunction. Checked bags, went thru Customs & waited for departure at 11:00 a.m. Boarded plane & waited on plane for 1 1/2 hours. Captain says we have to go back to terminal. Take luggage with us. Luggage is left on tarmac, we proceed thru Customs. It starts pouring rain, luggage gets soaking wet. We wait at terminal until 5:00 p.m. & told we have to board buses & go back to a hotel (1 1/2 hours away) with our luggage. At this resort it took 1 hour to check-in. We get a courtesy room and a meal. At 11:00 p.m. we board bus again & drive (1 1/2 hours away) back to Terminal. Arriving at 1:00 a.m. Check in again and Customs yet again. Finally boarded new plane with new crew and took off at 1:30 a.m. Arrived in Toronto 5:00 a.m. Get home unpack wet suitcases, scatter all wet clothes all over the floor and time to get some shut eye. I'm Thankful the pilot made the decision he did, as this story could have had an unhappy ending!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing stay

I have been to cuba many times...first time to cayo santa maria...iberostar ensanachos...this is 5 star or 4.5 in my opinion....out of all of our trips..this trip was the best... service is the best...food was amazing 6 days we had lobster in 3 restaurents, punta del pirata was awesome...lobster there, and then in italian again lobster then in cuba also lobster....and then we were given lobster in the buffet also great food....ensanachos beach was the best....we went to once the megano beach whi [... read more]ch was closer....but ensanachos beach was amazing though its far...you have cart access to beach. staff were amazing.....the animation was great..the director for animation show was friendly and caring...he speaks like british..lovely staff everywhere.....beach pool staff...staff at gym was...staff at spa....reception yaniche she was always there when my card reader for room has problem...they took care of us....maid in room anita was great....cleaning the room every single day....beer and water packed daily....buffet staff....cook usbaldo was fun and hard working....ensanachos beach staff yichel...beach pool staff yunior everyone is fun loving....our kids had great time in water park....it was our best stay....except the first day of rain....weather was good....water was a bit cold...because in march this is expected.....all in all it was a great stay....beach is best part of it....i would definitely go back

Hotel Mojito: LOVE MOJITO

A classic Cuban resort, with a valted wooden Lobby bar ceiling! Amazing structure with Stained Glass through out. Very well kept grounds , with clean rooms. The staff are all very helpful and friendly! Tamara and all staff in the Lobby are Amazing! And Freddy in the cigar lounge , I can't put into words! You just have to go meet Freddy! The entertainment , live bands and a piano singer! Always enjoyable to hear! I give this resort a thumbs up!
