Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Beautiful Resort

I tend to do a lot of research before booking, as we go for two weeks. I was very pleased to discover this resort was amazingly clean, with one of the nicest rooms we have ever stayed in. Room was spacious, nicely designed and beautiful oceanfront view - very quite over the spa area. The food was excellent, including the a la carte restaurants. However, we found the buffet to match these high standards, and it was varied throughout the two weeks (not repeated one week to the next). I was concerned about being bored since we didn't plan any excursions, but the resort was so 5 star that reading and playing in the ocean every day and nice dining was enough. It was a perfect place to relax and enjoy meeting people. I would actually consider returning here, even though we always go to different places. It was definitely nice enough to happily look forward to another trip here in the future. As others mentioned the staff are wonderful, sincere and helpful.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great Vacation

One of the most beautiful resorts we have ever visited. Everything was perfect. We requested and received the building and the ground floor room we asked for. Our room, restaurants and bars were all very impressive. Would go back to this resort tomorrow, without question.

My sister and I have travelled to several Caribbean destinations, 10 of them so far...and more to come... but I have to say that this place was one on top of our list. Everything was just amazing. Small resort which we like...food was amazing...drinks were great and they had a different theme drink every day which was great to experience. The other downfall was the excursion to the Natural Forest, I think that's what is was called......not worth the $95.00 that we spent each, YES EACH...US DOLLARS. It was worth maybe $65.00 or less but not $95.00. The staff was great but not over friendly which I think we missed alot because all the other resorts that we have been to, we made personal connections to several staff members but not really there. I don't know if they have been told not to get too close but the staff members that we did get close to were just amazing. The A la Carte restaurants, the buffet were just all amazing. We took a taxi to the town of Samana and we had a tour guide....Miguel who was just super. He took us to places that no other person would and it was just breathtaking. If you can find him...go for it, it was worth it all. I surely would recommend this resort to anyone.....a 100%

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Immaculately clean

This resort was beautiful and immaculate! Well staffed with great people. I loved the ease of using their app and they were prompt in all they delivered with their service. Free WiFi worked great throughout most of the resort. Pools were well kept. Plenty of Lounge chairs. Don Pablo a la carte was absolutely wonderful. Drinks were not the best as they were made inconsistently without proper measuring and overly sweet syrups are just not my taste. If you are going to enjoy the beach and a [... read more] swim in the ocean, this place is not for you. The water is murky due to a river close by that flows into the ocean. Although there were no people selling things on the beach, there were sand fleas! Overall it was an enjoyable stay with comfy beds, soft sheets, nice pillows and plenty of options. We even had essential oils to choose for our room daily, that were brought by our butler upon request. Nice quiet relaxing resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Too Big to give good service

This hotel was much bigger than I expected. It is actually 7 resorts. We paid extra for the Royal Golden but were quickly disappointed in what that meant. When we arrived they didn't have us listed and we waited 5 and a half hours to get into a room. We got an extra night dinner as a Royal Golden member but they couldn't fit us anywhere we wanted, so we settled for another 9:30 dinner at the only place available. When I mentioned that I wasn't feeling very Royal Golden, they kept telling me t [... read more]hat we would get slippers and a bath robe, a small bottle of rum and chocolates. (and that we are closer to the Beach) No rooms face the ocean. We actually got to look at the top of the workers shed all week that had garbage on the roof. There was a small bottle of rum but no chocolates (whatever). The last day they sent a fruit basket to our room in the evening (to make up for the chocolates?) which was nice except we had to check out at 8 am the next morning, so it wasn't even touched. The staff didn't speak English and were not too helpful...I heard "That's not possible" a few times my first day. Good luck getting thru to the front desk or concierge. On a positive, the food was good, the beach was beautiful, once you got passed the hundreds of chairs lined up. We made the best of it, but I will never return.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Great value for this Resort

The grounds were beautiful. The rooms were extremely nice and the maids did a great job cleaning them. Loved the butler service with the essential oils . The Don Pablo Restaurant was amazing. Buffets were good. Good selection of food . My only complaint were the drinks inconsistent never tasted the same. They were always running out of something mojitos..dirty monkeys etc. Celeste at the lively pool made pretty good drinks and was always smiling . Cayo Levantado Resort: The most amazing resort!

My husband and I had a 2 week vacation at Luxury Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado! It was by far the most amazing vacation. We were there to celebrate my 50th birthday and our 10th anniversary! We were blown away, with the incredible service, most beautiful grounds, fantastic food and our beautiful room! Geury, who is the manager of customer service was simply the best! He made special arrangements to surprise us for our special days! Our butlers too were so amazing, kind and so very thoughtful. We were grateful to have Gabriel, the manager for the butlers. Gabriel help me surprise my husband with a heart on the beach, filled with rose petals. So beautiful! He also prepared our room with champagne, balloons and chocolate on our anniversary! Natanael was our other butler who prepared a romantic Jacuzzi with champagne, scented candles and rose petals. He also went beyond expectations and was fabulous! Edgar, Fernando, Lice and Jose were there every day serving us at the pool and beach. There service was greatly appreciated and their kindness was very thoughtful. I have worked in the service industry for over 30 yrs and I can't say enough about the service we received. Outstanding! Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Nice Resort

Staff here are wonderful, hard working, friendly, helpful! Rooms were very nice, clean, stocked. Grounds were well taken care of - beautiful! Pools were nice. It was a large resort and the trolley system worked well, not too many times did we have to wait long to get to were we wanted to go. Food was good! Entertainment was good! Beach was not so good! We stayed in the Coba so had to take the trolley down to the beach, which was not a problem at all - however, we found the beach very nar [... read more]row, was angled so made it difficult for walking and there were days you couldn't even see the water through the seaweed. Mind you the staff there worked so hard every day to clear the seaweed, there was just so much of it at the time of our stay! We wish there were more activities to do on your own, such as a pool designated for volleyball - they had volleyball everyday but there were so many people playing that we did not join in for that. Basketball courts, maybe tennis courts would be great! and areas with tables that people can go to and play games or cards throughout the day would be great as well - we found the lobby not to accommodate this. Overall our vacation was very good, weather was wonderful - hot, sunny - just what we were looking for!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Best Resort ever!

We are frequent travelers so coming to this resort was a great surprise. This is definitely a 5 star resort! The facilities, the staff, food, entertainment out of this world. Will definitely go back. The fact that we were given access to the neighboring resorts was great. Transportation was available to get around and enjoy other restaurants, shows and the resort. We were sadden that we had to leave, wish we could have extended out stay. Any queries we had was tended to immediately. Resort was very clean. Very busy resort. Lots of activities by pool and beach. Entertainment was great! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was okay but a la carte was not much different than the main buffet.

Great resort with very nice and helpful staff. The food at the buffets was varied and good. The a la carte restaurants were very good although getting reservations at a decent time wasn't the easiest.

Being out 2nd visit to this hotel, it continues being a great choice especially for families with kids. That being said, it shows some decline compared to a year ago in terms of buffet variety and a la carte restaurant food quality. Ride from the airport is about 35 mins. The resort is beautiful, very clean throughout, rooms are spacious. Service is great, everyone is very friendly. The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Amazing vacation

We really enjoyed our stay here! Rooms were great, facilities were nice, the pools were perfect and never too busy, and the food was fabulous! We never had any issues. If you are elderly or have a disability you may find it difficult navigating the resort, as there can be a lotttt of stairs in spots, but there are also plenty of elevators (even one straight to the beach), so it's definitely doable, you just need to be strategic. The wait at the main pool bar was a little much at times (even when it wasn't busy), but really, we just did a lap around the pool and returned. The lower pool was always quiet. The upper pool had music and was always relaxing, they didn't start games/entertainment until late afternoon, so it was never an issue. We didn't spend much time at the beach. It's definitely a dug out man-made beach and it's smaller, you can't walk anywhere. It looked fine, but we were quite content with the beautiful cliff views from the pool. We grabbed seats on the right with the beach one day and it was nice and relaxing, but really, we preferred the pool/views. If you're looking for a 'beautiful sandy beach' this isn't the best spot for you, but EVERYTHING ELSE makes up for it, we weren't upset by this at all. The buffet was always delicious, always warm, and I felt like there was enough of a variety throughout the week, we were always very happy. the 3 restaurants were UNBELIEVABLY good, very impressive! There were hardly any children (there's literally nothing for them to do, so it's not a big 'family' resort, which was perfect for us). There weren't any rowdy guests or partying groups. Very relaxing and grateful for our stay here

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Lovely resort!

My suite was beautiful....the only down fall was there were no screen on the sliding door to the balcony but other than that it was very nice. I loved the pools and the food was great too! I was disappointed with the beach....too rocky and too much seaweed but other than that it was really good.

I’ve been here before with my husband , loved it then and loved it again with the ladies I traveled with ! Staff are amazing, food was amazing and beaches are fabulous! I had a different experience with the ladies then with my husband and that’s what makes this resort amazing! Thank you for the great experience!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Large but beautiful resort

This was a large resort. Stayed at the Ambar blue. Couldn't ask for anything nicer, easy access to the pool and right on the ocean. Although, we never got a chance to eat at the al la carte restaurants we never felt that we missed out on anything as we ate at the 3 buffets they have. Different theme night every night and the food was amazing could never go hungry. The entertainment was amazing during the day as well as the evening. The pool staff, the restaurant staff and the maids were terrific never had to ask twice for anything. The rooms were a little outdated but very comfortable. Had no problem sleeping after a hard day of sunbathing.

The resort was well laid out, everything was convenient Lots of shade and loungers at the beach, only the early risers could get near the water or the pool The food was amazing, great night life The rooms were very large and clean

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Nice Resort for Reasonable Cost

We stayed at the Grand Bahia San Juan from April 12th to April 22nd. Resort is kept clean, staff are friendly, food is good and pools are very nice. Beach area was ok, darker sand and very very hot on the feet, It is a public beach so there are many vendors waiting to sell you everything from excursions to braided hair and knick knacks. We booked all excursions through our rep and did not have any problem. Jeep Safari tour (8 hour) ($75 usd per person) was excellent as well as the Puerto Plata t [... read more]our (9 hours) ($80 usd per person). We also did the dune buggy's and four wheelers which was fun but definitely not worth the money they charge (3 hours) ($130 usd per person). We had a couple of issues when we first arrived. Mini fridges in both rooms we booked were not working. We called it in and they were both fixed within in 24 hours. We flew down with WestJet and could not have asked for a better rep down there. His name was Lewis, and he was always available to answer all our questions and concerns. Spa is lovely and the ladies are very friendly. Animation team were always around encouraging people to get involved in the daily activities at the pool and on the beach. Only thing that would have been nice would have been a 24 hour bar/snack shop because the bars don't open till 10am.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort

The staff were fabulous. They made the biggest difference. The waitors knew how to put a smile on ur face. Super clean place. A five star grounds and rooms were better than most. The entertainment was a awesome. Lots of different things going on and excursions for you to book.
