Don Lino Hotel: Nice stay at Don Lino

We stayed at Don Lino from April 21 to the 28. I had read the reviews and thought I had a pretty good idea of what to expect. Most of my expectations were met or exceeded. We were looking for a nice small quiet place that we could relax for a week of sun after a winter 18 + feet of snow. It was quiet, the food was fine, the animals roaming the resort were fun to watch, the staff were exceptional, and the weather was fantastic!

Brisas Guardalavaca: Warm and Friendly Resort

The hotel is great to stay in, garden rooms quieter, but, I prefer the Villas, lovely and quieter and more privacy and relaxing. Does not matter which Villa Block all in good locations. I have been to this resort 7 times, and will continue to come, now for two holidays per year. November for the Anniversary, which is wonderful and then again in the Spring.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Awesome trip as usual

6th time to this resort and it feels like going home. Many repeat visitors here so they must be doing something right. Great entertainment staff, some fun afternoon games, karoake, beach party, breakdancers were fantastic, awesome beach and pool. Beautiful walk down the boardwalk along the ocean to the market and another beach area. Food is alright, I never go hungry.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Great Resort

Loved this resort friendly people, staff was great, food was good, nice beach, we were on the bottom floor so did get bugs in room but didn't bother us. We are already planning our trip for next year, can't wait

Brisas Guardalavaca: Wonderful vacation

We were at Brisas Guardalavaca from Apr.3 to 17th. This was our second time there & was even better than the 1st. Weather was utopic,room very comfortable & the staff were wonderful. I am sure we will be back.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: It was ok

To big to cut up. No one smiled. No music. I think if there was music at all the bars and coffee stations they would be happier. It would have been nice if or representative was there when she said she would be there so we could get information on thinks would have been nice. Had to ask Sunwing rep and got all the information we needed.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Will return!

Gorgeous grounds. Impressed with high level of cleanliness. Not enough umbrellas around pools. Nice room, excellent maid. A la carte's need improvement, i.e. to be superior to buffet. Entertainment inferior compared to other hotels, i.e. lack of dancers, but bands were excellent!

Brisas Guardalavaca: Well kept grounds with a good beach

We enjoyed our stay. We are beach people and spend most of our time there. If you snorkel from the beach there are lots of different fish - they love bananas! The buffet restaurant is adequate. We always went to one of the other restaurants at lunch time and the a la cartes are pretty good. Don't miss going to the Havana Club bar on the roof for beautiful sunsets and the Spanish coffee in the Cappucino bar is really good. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Love Blau!

We stayed for two weeks at Blau with Canjet and we were very satisfied. We usually go to 4.5-5 star resorts but took the chance and it was worth every penny and more. We didn't upgrade and loved being close to everything. No regrets.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great vacation

The beach and grounds of the hotel were beautiful and well kept. The pools were never too busy making it easy to get a drink it snack. I would recommend the snack bar due to good service and food. The food was average but I was always able to find something to eat. However, the service was sometimes slow.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Good enough

The place was clean, quiet. The food was bland but OK. The drinks were hit and miss and really didn't like the miniature plastic glasses. (Smart travelers took insulated mugs of a decent size -- I will be smart next time) Rooms were clean and staff friendly. Snorkeling was so-so. The water was crystal clear but limited fish species. Didn't appreciate the beach chairs being put away at 4:30 but everything else was good enough. The a la carte restaurants were no real improvement on the buffet.

Brisas Guardalavaca: excellent resort overall

grounds are well kept and very clean, beach is cleaned every day public areas in front of main lobby need clean-up ( a lot of garbeage laying around) villa ' room are large and clean , the main complain is that they only allowed one key per room.( not good ) dining facilities are good and the food is better than the average compairing to other resorts that we have been in cuba. personel are accommodating and very plaisant.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Another great vacation

This was our second time at this resort. The staff are great the grounds are clean. Our room was well good. We brought my sister and her husband there for the first time and they are going to go back in November. Definitely a place you want to relax and have fun at)

Sol Turquesa Beach: Beautiful Resort

Very beautiful place beach was OK had better, food was very good, bartender staff was slow an didn't seem to care you were there even when tipped, cooking staff was amazing an very appreciative of tips. Great Beach Party was the high light of trip.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Decent Resort

Hotel grounds are very neat and organized. Rooms definitely need an update on the Mares side, especially the bathrooms. Food was excellent. Service was good but understaffed it seemed. Nightly entertainment was great!

Brisas Guardalavaca: Vacation to Brisa

This is my second time at brisa it was an awesome resort rooms were clean, grounds gorgeous staff great will defiantly go back again only problem was at the airport getting luggage it took almost big time and paid 25 for vip on way home was not worth it

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Worth for what you paid

This's the fourth time I'd been in Cuba but was the first time I visited to Holguin. I booked the room in the Villa section. It's away from the Main section. It took about 8 mins walk the the lobby, so it's a very quiet area. The room was very large I ever had before in other hotel in Cuba. The room was clean and everything was in good working order. The staff of the hotel were very friendly. The foods were one of the weak point. Most of the same foods every day, but I understand that most of the hotels in Cuba are the same. Anyway, there were lots of foods and should not go hungry if you are not picky. There's a very beautiful view along from the hotel. Nice to walk on the water front. The beach is a public beach but is a beautiful one with white sand and blue water.

I don't have to many complaints but I am the type of person to take things as it is and make the best of it. check in: I had no problem. Out of all the times I went away I got to say this was the fastest and easiest check in with no problems. we even got our room earlier then said. Room: We had garden view standard. Everyone was telling us to upgrade because the room was bad. Yes the room was small but me and my friend had no problems beside a uncomfortable sleep. We had running cold and hot w [... read more]ater, lights working and a place to sleep. No fridge, no drinks, no hairdryers in our room but that was ok for us. They have a filtered water station in the main lobby or you can get water for the bar or a big bottle for 1cuc in their store workers: They loved me and my friends. We never waited for anything and always go serviced fast at the bars. water, alcohol or our morning coffees. There was some workers that where lazy and took awhile to get water or any service in the buffet. buffets: it's cuba so don't expect high end food. Not a lot to choose from but gab what you like and you'll be fine. They had amazing omelettes and pizza. pool and beaches were amazing. Every hotel has pros and cons just go open minded. you are there to relax and have a good time off. Your hardly in the room anyways so size shouldn't matter. you know what kind of food you stomach can and can't handle so don't try every single thing. show respect to the workers and they give it right back

Brisas Guardalavaca: Beautiful

This resort was amazing... We had the experience with two Children and it was set up great for this.. Very kid friendly!! Lots of excurtions to do!! Food wasn't the greatest but for the price you couldn't ask for much more

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Nice place

Bar tenders, wait staff, front desk, AMAZING! Management/security, HORRIBLE. very unhospitable & rude. I had a great time & food was good. Beach was amazing. But i did see and hear of Canadians being accused, treated unreasonable, kicked off the resort, kicked out of cuba. It was insane!
