Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome once again

This was my 4th time to this resort "Punta Cana Royal Gold" and was awesome as usual. My family including my 2 children enjoyed the most. The food at main lobby has lots of options with salads and fruits. The swimming at the beach and pool under hot sun is what you dream about. The thing I didn't like was the flies, so make sure bring a spray can with you.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Amazing resort

Beautiful spot .The grounds were perfectly groomed. The look after everything. You real didn't need upgrade because all bars had good name brands .That Bahia still is the only one with mini bar fridges that has chips and chocolate bars in it .

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great resort for families!

Great resort for families. Amazing waterpark and beautiful beaches with calm and pristine waters. Service is not consistent so be patient. Ask to be on the family side and know that music goes until 10pm or a little later at night so it might be hard to sleep before that regardless where you stay. Remember to book your reservations at the a la carte restaurants (you can go to 3 if you stay for 7 days) on your first day and don't forget to go to the Japanese venue: the best dinner we had at a res [... read more]ort. The buffet is good overall but sometimes some options of food are not that tasteful.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: This resort was ....okay.

The restaurants and buffet were quite nice, and the swim up bar is perfect for these hot days. It was my own neglect for not reading more about the resort before going, but the things that were a bit of a bummer were: 1) No room service, you cant even pay for it. 2) There are no waiters/waitresses at the pool or on the beach, so you do need to go to the bar to get beverages yourself. Not the worst problem to have, I know it sounds a bit spoiled, but every resort I have ever stayed at has h [... read more]ad this as an option so I was a bit disappointed. 3) The resort is massive, so be prepared to have a hotel room 5-10 minutes walk from the lobby/lobby bar/buffet/spa. They do however have shuttles running, so you can catch a ride quite frequently. 4) There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby only. I personally don't need to have internet at my fingertips constantly, but my travel partner has kids at home and wanted to be reachable. They have paid options for Wi-Fi, but they were listed as quite expensive. A tip for anyone going there - when you select the free Wi-Fi (while you are in the lobby), they give you an option for $10 for a full week. But if you don't originally select free Wi-Fi and you go directly to the Wi-Fi package options, there is no $10 option for your full stay, only the $10 per day option or more expensive for a full week. A bit sneaky if you ask me. The staff were lovely, and the room was good enough and clean. I would suggest staying at the Akumal resort if you want more of the luxuries, and their beach is better (WAY less seaweed). If you are a spa user - the one at Coba had a better circuit than the Tulum. I wouldn't stay here again personally, but we still had an amazing time, especially with the daily entertainment at the party pool. I am usually a backpacker that stays in hostels, so I am not typically a super fussy traveler. But when I go to a resort, I prefer all of the luxuries of being a lazy beach bum :)

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: A Great Stay Yet Again At Ambar Blue

This the 2nd year in row we stayed at the Ambar Blue in Punta Cana. Took my sister and her better-half on this trip and we had an excellent time. Staff is always accommodating and even booked events for us prior to our arrival. Aritza on Butler Services is the best! She went out of her way to make sure all of our hotel requests were met, a friendly and professional staff member. Weather was beautiful! Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great resort

Had an amazing trip, food was great very friendly staff , only complaint was lots of mosquitoes in room at night, could be because we were on ground level , but overall great place to relax,didn't make it to any shows as we were to tired to go but they seemed like would have been fun

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: 14th Time at the Grand Bahia Principe Coba, Mexico

This is a very beautiful resort. My wife and I returned for our 14th time in early April of this year. The staff are very pleasant, the food is outstanding, the beach is beautiful, there is dancing or a floor show most evenings and the weather is really great. When the fall/ winter arrives every year here in Nova Scotia, we immediately begin to make plans to visit our "Home away from Home" in sunny Mexico at the Coba!

This amazing resort has very well kept beautiful grounds that are worked on every day to maintain a fresh & beautiful look. The rooms are well appointed that have been newly painted since last year. Fresh bottled water was always supplied in our room & a well stocked bar .. The bathroom was cleaned daily with fresh towels and toiletries. Our seven days were simply perfect. From long walks on the gorgeous beach to perfect days at the pool. Amazing staff and friendly service everyday. Would come back in a heartbeat. Next time will be at the Ambar for adults only!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: The Luxury Bahia is not what it used to be

This was our third visit to this hotel in 4 years and we were surprised at how quickly standards have fallen. While there are certainly a few shining examples amongst the staff who almost make up for the shortcomings we will likely not visit again. The hotel rooms are very noisy with staff and guests early in the morning. Equipment is in poor repair on the property; whirlpool sections of pools not functioning, elevators frequently out of service (for short periods but unpredicable), sewers ga [... read more]s backing up into our room, musty air conditioning....etc. Once quite good, the main buffet (Jazmin), has fallen into a rut of repetition, poor quality meat selections, and cheap wine. The gardens and landscaping seems well kept and attractive and they were painting exterior surfaces constantly while we were there. This does come at a cost of men walking around guest areas with gas powered leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, line cutters, and ride on mowers from shortly after sunrise until the late afternoon. The buzz of engines can be a bit in-nerving at times. Many of the bartenders mix drinks of unpredictable quality and strength. Scotch neat or beer are safe bets. I personally don't care too much to attend the a la carte restaurants because I find often they have the same foods as the buffet presented in a different space but this yearI was unable to get a seating prior to 8:15 and any of the restaurants so I didn't even bother. I find the Transat rep on this property a little brusk unless you want to book an excursion whereupon she becomes more pleasant so I try to avoid her which is a shame. There are vendors constantly trying to sell marijuana on the beach which is new. I don't appreciate the stink or the constant noise and traffic so I found it disturbing. The ragtag line of tourists making their way to the water to make their little drug "buys" was somewhere between laughable and sad. The rooms are okay and the beds are comfortable, towels and facecloths may need to be requested as they are not always replenished, there is not really a butler service here so don't expect it. the minibar is two bottles of water, two cans of bear and four bottles of pop, possibly two small bags of banana chips; don'y actually expect it to be replenished daily. The entertainment is maybe a bit above average. Los Olas buffet for lunch is nice.

This was one of the nicest resorts we have visited. The grounds were so well landscaped and well maintained. The fact that it was small compared to a lot of other resorts was a big plus. We got to know a lot of the staff who were so friendly and funny. This fact also enabled us to make some new friends which made the whole time we spent there amazing. Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Beautiful, Well Kept Resort

The resort is huge with lots of options for food, pools and activities. The resort, including the rooms, is clean and well kept. The pools were very nice, towel service was easy, and it was never a problem finding a chair (mid April). The food at the restaurants and buffets was very good with lots of selection. The Gran Tortuga-Rodizio Restaurant has a buffet for breakfast and lunch and is a wonderful place to eat overlooking the ocean. The shuttle service between the other sections of the resort is quick and efficient. The only downside was that the beach was full of seaweed, but they were working around the clock to try to clear it away.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Luxury Bahia Principe Samana

This property is everything you expect from a luxury resort. The buildings and gardens are meticulously maintained. The rooms are very clean, and serviced by polite and accommodating employees. The pool and beach were also well maintained with more than adequate resources. This property also had the largest and most completely equipped gym I have seen at any resort. We were most impressed by the animation team. They were without doubt the most amazing people, who genuinely cared for their guests. They provided evening events from a circus to karaoke, and at our departure came to say goodbye We had a very positive experience at this resort and highly recommend it to others. I would be remiss if I did not commend Kim Hartlen, who on very short notice was able to locate and secure accommodations for us at this beautiful resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Very nice resort!

It is a very beautiful resort! Really great staff! Nice pools and great beach. Really good selection of restaurants as well. I have no complaints. It's a nice size for the amount of people that stay there. You can find some quieter spots if you want or party spots if that's what you want

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic Resort

This resort was absolutely amazing! The best part was the fantastic friendly and helpful staff, from the reception to the waiters to bellboys and maids! The rooms were clean and neat! The resort was full of things to do. There is shopping, a casino, bars, beaches, pools, water sports, a dolphinarium...to mention a few! I would go back in a heartbeat! The only negative is the timeshare people promoting Bahia priveledge club, they were rather annoying until you were firm and said no.The a la carte [... read more] restaurants were utterly delicious, the buffets were average to good. Other than that it was a perfect vacation! I would highly recommend!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful resort

The food was good, rooms were nice, service excellent, beach and pools awesome. Views were amazing. A la carts excellent. The grounds are well kept. Trip to the town a little stressful people wanting to guide you to different shops as they make a commission from what you buy.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: low average

Not a wow ,but good services ,good variety of food and drinks Beach is the worse I ever seen until now,stones ,rocks and weeds everywhere ,smelly like a portable toilet ,machines and workers on the beach the whole day feels like a construction site not a relaxing beach .Awful Entertainment on the beach nonexistent

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Excelente! Loved the Bahia Principe Bouganville

We stayed at the Bahia Principe Bouganville from April 14 to 21, 2018. We were thoroughly impressed with this resort. We stayed at a Barcelo resort last winter in Punta Cana and had somewhat of a bad experience. We will be looking to vacation at a Bahia Principe resort from now on! The service was overall excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. Housekeeping services did an excellent job. The animation team works hard to engage the guests and create a fun atmosphere all around. There is n [... read more]o shortage of activities by the pool and entertainment. There are also two other more quiet pools if you prefer quiet time. Every night there is a different show i.e. grammy music show, michael jackson, acrobatics, fire show, beach party etc. That we thought were very well done as well as live music in the lobby and dancing. The food is excellent; there is something for everyone at the buffet. The Don Pablo restaurant is excellent. The grounds are stunningly beautiful and imacculatley kept. There is a golf course on the ocean, tennis courts and cruiser style bicycles that you can take out for a bike ride within the Bahia gated community which is quite large. It's hard to find a negative thing to say really but my only disclaimer would be that if you are more keen on spending your time at the beach jumping in the waves in the ocean then this resort likely isn't for you. That being said, the beach is still beautiful and you can walk quite a ways up and down either side. The Punta Cana beach is much nicer and larger but the positive thing about the beach at Bougainville is that the water is calm which is nice for children and as guests at the Bahia, you have use of kayaks that you can take out in the bay. Also there is nobody coming around to sell you stuff incessantly which makes the beach a very relaxing spot to be. There are tons of palm trees and palapas and places to sit in sun or shade. The entertainment ends at 11:00 p.m. at which time you can go to the disco but the dj plays mostly salsa & Bachata style dominican music which I do enjoy but not everyone does. One suggestion I do have would be to have a theme night or even an hour one night from 11-12 midnight in the disco to play different kinds of music such as American top 40 or hip hop or something like that which might get more people going to the disco. I noticed that a lot of people go to the disco but don't stay long. We can't wait to go to another Bahia Principe resort!

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Fun resort

I only have a previous all inclusive to Cuba to compare this to but this was many times better. The room was nice the resort was great and the food was amazing. Especially like the alacart we went to. Mexican and Japanese. The food and service were excellent. The only down fall was we could not get a time before 8:30 which we found late. All in all a great trip. Loved punts Cana. Would come again.
