Occidental Caribe: Great Resort

Really enjoyed this resort: close to brag, awesome ocean view, good food, never over-crowded. Room always clean. I'd recommend as a good place for a week; two weeks may be long for food variety. I'd go back here.

Barcelo Ixtapa: Fantastic vacation

This is a people friendly, comfortable hotel. Very clean and it has just been renovated. The buffet food was very good as they have a great selection of food from fish to pasta and everything in between. Every person on staff are friendly and eager to help in any way. Two big pools and a beach that goes for miles, dolphins and whales can be seen from your balcony. Yes i said Whales , I could not believe my eyes! The water is very warm and great for boogie boards. Sunscape Puerto Plata: Better than expected

Very well maintained resort with nice friendly staff that were very accommodating. Rooms were clean and spacious as was the main pool. The beach was large and easily accessible yes there were lots of people selling stuff but all you have to do is say no and they go away. No big deal. The only thing I didn't like was the dress code for some of the alacarte restaurants no one wants to wear pants in +30 weather you can still look good in a collared shirt and dress shorts.

Barcelo Karmina: Nice resort

Excellent rooms, food was great, service was great. Check in was terrible. Not much of a beach. The golf balls flying into the swim area from the golfers was extremely dangerous and scary. Should have been free wifi somewhere in hotel for those of us who only wanted to contact home 2-3 times per week.

Barcelo Karmina: Awesome resort!

Rooms were huge! Very clean. The beds were a little hard but actually very comfortable! Amazing amount of pools and areas. We were still finding different areas the day before we left! Food was very good with lots of variety. Would definitely come back!

Sunscape Dominican Beach: i recommended

Realy nice a+ very friendly lots of entertement and food and bars all good very excellent service I would recommend to my friends very clean and the food was good lots of good service ????????????????

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Had a great time

We stayed 7 days at the Barcelo Maya Colonial Beach resort. The grounds were well maintained, rooms were kept clean, staff were very friendly and helpful, the beach was my favorite part with soft white sand and never had problems finding a chair to relax in. Overall we had good time. I would recommend this resort.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Heaven on Earth

Beyond belief, a breathtaking view of ocean, beaches, pools, bars, theatres, mall, restaurants, clean comfortable rooms. The food was excellent with numerous choices and selections at the buffets. The food in the restaurants was perfect and served as you requested. The staff was excellent and a total pleasure to interact with. Nothing was left to the imagination. Thanks for making our dream come true.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Barcello Maya first timer

First trip to Mexico and was impressed. Barcello is a very large facility and when we are able to enjoy the amenities of all four resorts without restriction it was very enjoyable. Never had to compete for space at either the beaches or the pools,Buffets, seemed like there was lots for families to do as well. I don't have little ones but I would not hesitate to bring my grandson here. Occidental Caribe: 3rd time at this resort beautiful and amazing

This has been our third time at this resort and still amazing...grounds are clean with no bugs, the beach is where we spent most of our time from 8am until around 5pm and it was always clean and no people bugging us to purchase things. Food was excellent at all places that we ate. The layout of this resort is great as it is more wide than long so great spots on the beach available with plenty of sun for those who worship it as well as plenty of shady spots for those who are fair like myself and all still with an amazing view of the ocean. From the room its maybe a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Pools were always nice and clean and they have enough variety of them you can be at the party pool(the one with the bar) or the tranquil adult pool or even the children friendly pool without being overcrowded anywhere. The room are nicely cleaned everyday with nice sliding glass doors that close properly as well as comfortable beds with comfy pillows and sheets that fit properly. I would and have recomended this resort to everyone.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Amazing and Beautiful Resort

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and incredible organization. The staff are competent and friendly. The grounds are immaculate. This resort is wonderful for the elderly (wheelchair access) as well as couples with young children. Beautiful mini water slide play structures. The food was delicious and abundant with loads of variety! :)

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Great resort!

The staff certainly make this resort. They ALWAYS have a smile on their face and never say no even though they may not be able to help. Marisol(server @ LaCantina) and Antonio(snack bar bar) really stood out. I don't have anything negative to say, rooms are huge, beds are comfortable, food selection is great. This is a smaller resort so there is no nightclub and it is off the beaten path so it's quiet. Barcelo Karmina: Fabulous resort

lovely resort, great size just right. Japanese and Italian ala cartes were amazing. View from the Mexican was spectacular. Great pools or beach area. Loved taking out kayaks. Nice area to walk around and safe to walk to town out of the resort. Walmart is close by if you needed something. Great staff and amazing service!

Barcelo Huatulco: Simply perfect!

Everything about this resort was perfect! The hotel was beautiful and extremely clean. We did not see any type of insect nor any speck of dust during our stay. The food was delicious and had a different variety every day with so much to choose from. The staff was friendly. The beach was gorgeous. Perfect perfect perfect! Stay here if you want a great vacation !

Barcelo Solymar: Barcelo Solymar

Went last year fantastic. This year the resort was a party place for lots of rude vulgar spitting French young adults. What raised these people is beyond me. This was to be a relaxing trip and turned out to be far from it . The local people and staff were great they were just unable to do anything about disrespectful young adults.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Great time~~

Hotel was very clean. Rooms were okay. No balcony unless you upgraded. No bathtubs. Resort was small so I really liked that. Familiar faces. Food was okay. The Mexican restaurant was delish. However, you had to be ready at 7am to make reservation. Location was great!! Beach was not the best. But, the sand was like talc.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Loved this resort!!

From the moment we checked in I was impressed by the organization, order, cleanliness and overall welcome we were given. Check in was a breeze and we weren't forced to wait in line with 40+ other guests, Barcelo's staggered arrivals made this so easy. The food was awesome, recomment the a la cartes but the buffet was fantastic also. The beach was a little rocky in parts but nonetheless beautiful. Barcelo Karmina: nice rooms

The grounds are nice. The beach is O.K. The food was good especially the Italian restaurant which we had twice. The bars need some drink menus and coffee at the lobby bar would be nice for a afternoon spanish coffee.

Barcelo Solymar: Bad choice for the kids first time away

The hotel and grounds weren't bad, except for not having running water several days. It's not as nice as the Breezes places in Cuba we have stayed, but not horrible (I've been to Cuba 10 different times). Front desk staff were terrible. Very rude, expect to wait 20 minutes before anyone helps, even then, it's no, no, no. No internet cards, no water, don't know when it will be back on, no you cant have side by side rooms with your family, no money exchange half the time. Its really a drunk 20 something resort, don't bring your family here. 14 and 15 yr old girls with us were terrified and harassed by drunk guys constantly. They couldn't go anywhere alone. LOUD music blaring until 1am every single night. Woke up to cigarette butts and urine and spilled drinks in the hallways every morning. Smoking inside everywhere, lobby, buffet, restaurants,not ok with kids around. Food was good, beach was beautiful, though VERY crowded, the middle pool was our oasis. I felt really bad for the kids, so we stayed away from the resort as much as possible. Luckily it was close to town and we could go explore. We didn't let it ruin our vacation, but our travel agent got an email when we got home to never book families there again, so inappropriate.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Paradise

Everything was amazing. The grounds were a tropical paradise and the food was very delicious and so much variety. The room was very clean and comfortable. The service was over the top friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back .
