Hotel Mojito: Amazing Relaxing Resort/Time

Had a great time, staff beyond helpful. I was put in a 2nd floor room some distance from lobby, spoke to front desk the next morning and was accommodated to a closer room on the main floor looking toward the pool, what service!!! Food was great, beach a bit of a walk, but as I'm more of a pool person, this wasn't an issue. Market within walking distance, not as large as Varadero, but found the items I was looking for. Hotel Mojito: Excelent resort

The resort was extremely clean the room were spacious and clean the grounds were impeccable . The staff was very effective in help you in any way. The only thing was that the beach was quite a walk and no bathroom down at the beach you had to walk all the way back to the resort. also there were not enough chairs and huts to shade you from the sun. I would definitely go back again. on a scale from 1 to 10 and 10 been the best I would rate this a 8 .

Grand Memories Cayo Largo: Great getaway

Very nice resort. Gardens very well kept. Rooms were average. Great water pressure in showers good air conditioning. Beautiful views. The food was better than expected. Bars were fast and attentive. Very nice beaches. Great transfers throughout the island.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: 3rd TIME STILL A CHARM

Our Del Mar return visit was just as enjoyable as previous visits. Food was great, ALL the guest services staff were friendly, helpful and had great sense of humor. Lionel and Roger, the pool bar hosts were great fun keeping up to many demanding requirements all served with a smile and a joke ! Lots of fun playing the pool games and the preshow antics games. The sea weed on the beach was overwhelming at times, mother nature was not friendly. The beach crew worked endlessly to try and keep up with it. Will plan to go back again. ! Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Amazing Resort

This resort is amazing. The service was fantastic! Staff is amazing. Rooms were very clean. The entire resort was fabulous. Would definitely stay there again! One of the nicest resorts on the Varadero Strip.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Fantastic even the second time

Once again we were greeted with smiles at the iberostar Laguna azul. Our room was fantastic all that we wanted with a view of the main pool and the ocean on the horizon. The only change for the room would be a new bed but other than that is was always super clean. Our Chamber maid always kept the room super clean and everyday more fantastic towel art. The buffet was good with a lot of selection with my favorite being the station where they cook up small pieces of beef and chicken while you wait. [... read more]..so good. The à la carte restaurants need to be made more accessible with more people taking the booking requests we only managed to book two out of three after standing in line for almost an hour and they were both for 9pm sittings. The foam party gets everyone going and is so much fun in the main pool. All in all, this is a great resort with great people in Cuba

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: fantastic resort

this was the resort i have been waiting for! when i arrived at the entrance i was impressed and also when dealing with the hotel staff they always had a smile. the rooms were very nice and well furnished and the food was excellent! when we were there we ate langouste every day with no extra charge and let me just say there was plenty of activities at this hotel! this is a excellent choice for vacation and i will surely return 😎

Hotel Mojito: Clean, well maintained

Resort was well maintained. Cleaning ladies did a great job, even pulled beds out from the wall to clean under. Always fresh towels when requested. Entertainment staff very friendly. Loved Andy. Nightly shows typical of a resort. Drinks were good, fast service. Pools were clean. Food was good but needs more variety. Same things offered for breakfast and lunch everyday and supper seemed to be on a week rotation. The "snack bar" was hamburgs, hotdogs, fries, sandwich, pizza. No where to get an ac [... read more]tual snack. Ladies at the front desk we not friendly at all. Hated having to ask a question. The beach staff was friendly and helpful with putting chairs where you wanted them. Beach was beautiful however it was a long walk to get to. A lagoon separated the resort from the beach so you walk on a long dock (10mins) to get there.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Amazing resort

The resort grounds were immaculate, staff so helpful and friendly, and the food was amazing! The buffets had great selection. It was nice to have the choice of walking or taking a golf cart shutttle to different areas of the resort. The mall was great and took advantage of going for tacos and crepes.

Great time, buffet was always hard to get a clean table, had a great server on the night shift though always tried to get a table for us as we were a group of 10 Food is great and always a great selection would recommend this resort

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Grand Resort !!!

The grounds are extensive....but kept very clean,. Never a shortage of things to do, or just veg out on the beach. The food is awesome and there are lots of restaurants to choose from. The shows are amazing. We had a room right next to the beach and the sunshine was great.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Just OK

Grounds were clean, rooms were clean, impossible to get chairs by the pool unless you were one that saved them before 6:00 am. Beach was not great, lots of corral made it difficult to go in the water. A - la- carte restaurant food was not very good. Japanese was the only one we found that everyone enjoyed. We were a party of 10 and I would not go back.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Beautiful resort!

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous grounds, landscaping, pool areas. Excellent security.. felt very safe within this gated property. Excellent food, good service, staff always smiling and courteous. Great to see smart lighting in some of the public washrooms as well as recycling/composting facilities. Negatives were there was an annoying noise outside our room due to a loose railing or some other structural problem so had to wear earplugs to sleep every night. "up selling" by hotel staff at sp [... read more]ecialty restaurants; we were shown a list of "all inclusive wines" (approx. 30) on one side of menu and a separate list of "premium wines" at extra cost. Were told only ONE all inclusive wine was available in red or white and were encouraged to choose premium wines instead.. seriously!?? Pool service was generally good but could have been better; often had to wait 30 to 60 minutes for a server to take our drink order. Spa was overpriced. Dined at the international buffet a couple of times on my own as my friend was ill. As a single diner I was not always provided with the same level of service as couples or groups, often being ignored for several long spells. All customers, whether with dining companions or not, should be provided with excellent service. Overall though, very pleased with this resort and would recommend to family, friends and colleagues.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Ya mon! No Problem!

This famous Jamaican expression best describes your vacation at Iberostar Grand Rose Hall. Nothing was ever a problem, in fact, "what more can we do for you", should be their slogan. One should have suspected that to be the case as soon as you stepped into the vast beautifully marbled lobby, and in the background hearing a pianist tickling the ivories while expertly delivering song after song. It all starts as soon as you are handed your room key and your "day butler" (there is also an aft [... read more]ernoon/evening butler) greets you with a smile, you quickly get used to, and says "what can I do for you to make your stay special". The three butlers we had (Kharsen, O'Neill & Duran) did exactly that..... Our room, was divided into 3 sections (a beautiful bathroom with a jet hot tub, a large sleeping area and a balcony with a sofa, table and swinging hammock style seat) overlooking the ocean with a view of the sunset. My wife has a number of allergies, the most difficult requiring a gluten-free diet. Even though she was careful the first evening, she did not feel well overnight. Our butler, Kharsen hearing of this sprung into action approaching one of the main chefs, Charley. Charley took it upon himself to make individual lunches for my wife each day, and then went out of his way to discuss my wife's gluten requirements with each of the a la carte evening restaurant main chefs, we had chosen for the remainder of our stay. Each night the main chef would approach our table and discuss directly with my wife what she would like, and how she/he would prepare the meal. Kharsen and O'Neill would stop by each shift to see if my wife required anything. Duran for our anniversary, arranged a romantic evening highlighted with rose petal hearts throughout our room. Lastly, worth mentioning is that Kharsen, even on his day off, called our room as we were packing to leave in a few hours, wished us a safe trip home and asked one last time if we needed anything. A big thank you to Cardella and Gesha for keeping our room clean and spotless each day. Cardella's smile and cheerful good morning was a great way to start the day. The only activity we participated in was the Aqua Fit class in the ocean and the Aqua stretch class in the pool. Richard or as he was better known "Adonis" or "Diesel", was a great instructor keeping the class progressing at the right pace with his great sense of humour and direction. After class, Keon, Sherika and Ricardo quenched our thirst with incredible drinks that seemed to get better each day. Lastly, I wanted to finish with a novelty......how many resorts offer all the sunscreen and tanning lotion you may require. This resort did. But they also added an interesting option, they offered the option to have one of their staff apply the lotion as well. Anishka, with one of the friendliest smiles you will ever see, was kind enough to apply the sunscreen upon request. Thanks to the "what more can we do for you attitude" of the Iberostar Staff, my wife and I will be returning next year, and we will gladly recommend this resort to anyone who asks.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Great resort

The Iberostar Tainos was great! This was our second stay here. We stayed in a bungalow close to the beach and found it clean, quiet and well equipped. The a la carte restaurants we great and the buffet offered lots of choice. All staff were pleasant and accommodating . Beach and pool areas were beautiful, clean and well kept. Our only complaint was the showers we had to use in the gym before we left was awful we were very disappointed. We would go back to this resort again

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Back Again To Iberstar Suites

We have been to many resorts and islands, yet we have never been back to the same place twice, until now. I had my friend Eric Mclean from Eric’s Chillout Tours (876-790-3154) pick us up at the airport and bring us to our resort. When I go to Jamaica I always call Eric in advance for our airport pickup, he also gives me the price when I call. Using him, we beat everyone to the resort, Eric had a beer for my wife and me and anything else we need. In the middle of our 2 week vacation we use [... read more]d Eric to take us for an afternoon trip to the mountains. He is a safe and knowledgeable driver. If you use him, tell him Wayne sent you and he will give you a good price. The Iberostar Suite is a friendly, large, clean and well run resort. My friend the Desk Manager Andrae got us the same room as last year. It was dead center top floor, king size bed, and a tub. I called Andrae for the same room about 3 weeks from us leaving and I got what I requested. Plus a well stocked fridge with a bottle of good Appleton Rum. They also gave us matching T-Shirts for returning. Last year Orlando checked us in. When he saw us checking in, he was all smiles welcoming us again. These 3 guys made us feel like we were home again. It only rained one night in the 2 weeks otherwise the weather was very good. We did the beach everyday and it was great. There was always a nice spot with shade near the lifeguards, Bruce, Norris and Sanjay. I talked and joked with these guys everyday. They are knowledgeable about the ocean and Jamaica’s culture. I did some snorkelling off the beach in front of where we sat and WOW, fish, stingrays, coral and no boat ride required. I tried many different drinks but my favourite was Ice coffee with Baileys, and Tia Maria or Kalua. The bartenders are first rate; they make and serve the drinks quickly with a smile and a few words. Staff like Christopher, Radane “Jellybean”, Glenroy, Jules, Doreen (the hardest working waitress on the island), Nicole and the rest ensured our glass (or Bubba) was full. There supervisors (Hugh and Raymond) remembered our names and always came over to make sure the drinks and service was first rate and it always was. This resort has the best Chef’s in the world. I have never had such good food anywhere. We only ate suppers at the buffet because of Managers like Patrick, Isaiah and Jermaine they make sure the staffs are always making meals that will not be forgotten. When I did not see lobster tails on Valentine Day like last year, without asking Isaiah put some on for me. I have never met such nice people who work so hard for so little. We like to eat outside at the Buffet with the smell of the ocean and view of the palm and coconut trees all around. I loved that. My friend at the Pasta Bar Courtney made me a dish of pasta with shrimp, garlic and vodka. I did not need to go to any of the a la carte restaurants. We had lunch at the steakhouse because of how open it was. The service by, Nadine, Clifford, Brandese, Renae, Gavin was top notch. If you want coffee and Baileys for breakfast just a nod to these people and I got it. The entertainment team was also good with OMG, Peaches and Rick Hollywood. They talked to us every day on the beach. We came to relax and they understood why we played no games. The live music (from 7:30 to 9:30) in the bar was fantastic. We requested songs and they played them. We walked to the other resort called Iberostar beaches to watch different entertainment. I liked this, from Suites we can use there stuff, but they can’t use ours. We watched the late show once. We like to go to bed early and get up early and here we did. The property was spotless and always being cleaned with workers likes Orlando who never stopped working or smiling when I would say hello. The beach was kept cleaned and raked every day. I had so much fun everyday talking and joking with the valets Dale, Ricardo, David and Hyron. These guys made it feel like I was hanging out with my buddies back home. I go to Jamaica a lot because of the music and everyone there speaks English. These people have a spirit not found anywhere else in the world. Iberostar is “No problem man” Wayne

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Unbelievable as always

We have been to this resort many times and each time it is like going home. The staff go out of their way to assist and please the guests. There are always sufficient beach lounges at the pool and/or beach. The grounds are immaculate. There are long time staff members who seem genuinely happy to see us again and we have made friends with a few.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Great Resort

Everything was fine, great staff, well kept grounds, beaches nice lots of beach chairs. Food fine, alcoholic beverages below average as are all Caribbean destinations these days in my opinion as they all seem to use powdered sugar based fruit juices instead of real fruit from a blender which was not that long ago. The air conditioning never reached set-point and little things like wobbly ceiling fans, sticky ( hard to slide) patio doors keep this hotel from being great. Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Torn......

Just got back from this resort and it was very nice. However, if you want a nice sandy beach this might not be the place for you. There is pillar beach close by which is an amazing sandy beach, but it is not onsite. While there is not a great beach, there is great snorkelling right off the shore and great for exploring. This is where I was torn, I missed the beach, but the snorkelling was great to have so close by. Food: only the Japanese a la carte was good. And the buffet was not bad, but  [... read more]the other a la cartels were not good. What ever you do, don't get the beef anywhere. Pool: great pool and they put a lot of effort into pool side entertainment Rooms: great rooms and if you are on floors 2-3 you pretty much are guaranteed oceanview. Excursions: went deep sea fishing and found it pretty reasonable, and we caught fish, so it was great. If you do catch fish, have them fillet it and bring it back to the resort and they can cook it on the beach front fish shack (great fried fish for afternoon snacks). Went of the catamaran, but got stuck on the smaller boat. Try to be on the bigger boat and go on a calm day.

Excellent resort. Clean, great service, beach and pool areas were perfect. Not to far from the airport. Food was very good. Came home relaxed. Evening entertainment was good, but not great. Not enough for 18 to 21 year olds.
