Riu Palace Aquarelle: Wonderful resort

As always, Riu always shines with good staff and good food. Check-in was easy, the rep at the desk was SO helpful and accommodating, letting me pick what floor to be on and being very transparent with their availability. I asked if they had availability to upgrade to an ocean view room which there was and it was totally worth the extra money. However, there was an issue with room service on night, it was delivered to us 2 hours after ordering at midnight and we had fell asleep by that time.  [... read more]Room service menu is very limited, your options are literally caesar salad, club sandwich and nachos (basically corn chips with cheap queso sauce, you get the tiniest bit of pico di galo with it) The beach does not compare to the Riu Tropical Palace Negril, like at all. But I knew that going in so I adjusted my expectations, but it was worse than I expected. We did not swim in their beach we would walk down past the Royalton to Ocean Springs and swam there, much less seaweed and rocks. The entertainment team was fire, they did a Michael Jackson night and Jamaica night which were the best shows. The hotel is brand new, so everything is pristine and beautiful. The rooms are clean but the two double beds are small, there was three of us so one of us ended up using the pull-out sofa to sleep on.

Riu Palace Jamaica: Very nice resort

The Riu Palace Montego Bay was very nice. The food was great at the buffet. Lots of choices and very fresh salad selection. We did the steak house and the lobster tail was delicious and the steak was done nicely. Lot's of fun around the pool with swim up bar but, the quite pool right beside it was nice when just wanted some quiet time. The entertainment staff kept things busy in the day and the water aerobic classes were good. It is a tad sea weedy and not soft sand to walk on if that is your thing don't go here for the beach. The room was great and the house keeping and bar restock staff did a good job. The staff at this resort were for the most part very nice and happy to help.

Secrets Wild Orchid: Excellent Stay

We were very impressed by the level of attention paid to small details including cleanliness, grounds, service and maintenance. The resort including common areas and grounds were always spotless, as were the rooms, the restaurants, the fitness facilities etc. All of the equipment and sports facilities, tennis courts et a;, were well maintained and modern. Overall, perhaps the nicest place we have ever stayed and the service, staff and facilities were above expectation.

Dreams Rose Hall: I loved the resort

Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Over the week learned our names, we had such a great time. Clean rooms, our room had a beautiful ocean view which was absolutely beautiful. The beach was well maintained , we had so much fun in the lazy river. We did an excursion and the hospitality was exceptional. I would definitely come back.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Lovely resort

This is a wonderful resort to stay at. The all the staff was friendly and helpful, excellent food and very clean. I was very happy we were at this chain of resorts again. Thanks for the wonderful week

Ocean Eden Bay: Beautiful Resort

My husband and I had the most incredible experience at this resort! We had exceptional service, exciting entertainment and wonderful dining during our stay. We are sincerely thankful for the outstanding service given to us from Samantha during our check in. This young lady deserves a promotion! We were completely happy with her warm, friendly service. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Excellent vacation

Signature section well worth the small extra cost. Great beaches and pools. Able to snorkel right off the beach. Food options - good variety and restaurants. Entertainment at night wasn’t great. Overall great value and great resort.

S Hotel Montego Bay: Smaller Hotel with a great beach

The S Hotel is a smaller hotel right in downtown Montego Bay. The staff were all very helpful and the hotel is well organized. We stayed in a Sky Suite Ocean View room on the 5th floor. The room was clean and comfortable and had a great view of the water. It was very easy to get around the hotel and because it is smaller, getting places was easy. We spent a lot of time in the S Cafe for coffee, cookies and ice cream. It was on the ground floor close to the pool and beach. The other restau [... read more]rants were satisfactory, but not outstanding. The serving staff all try hard. The pool is very nice, but seating is sometimes tough to find. We liked the beach (Doctor's Cave) and appreciated the hotel had its own section with lounges always available. The water was great-Calm with a nice sandy bottom and easy to get in and out of. The pier was a great place to walk out. Overall it was a good hotel to stay at.

Riu Ocho Rios: Great resort

The hotel provided a noteworthy stay, yet it did not fully achieve a high star rating in my book. Although the room was clean and equipped with essential amenities, it lacked the charm and thoughtful details that elevate a visit. There were minor issues that were addressed promptly, though I would have preferred not to raise them myself. Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Wonderful Resort! Enjoyed every minute!

The beach was absolutely stunning! The water was aqua blue and so clear and warm. We were in swimming every day, several times. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They only have 2 A la Carte restaurants but there was a great selection of delicious options at the buffet so no worries there. There were often musicians playing in the room beside the dining room and the music was so nice, just the right volume because they were in the next room. There pool was spotless. Later evening entertainment was on the Montego Bay side and we didn’t get over for it as our days were very full and active. Carl took us out for an amazing Hobie Cat ride. Enjoyed that very much. Overall, the Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at.

Remember this is a 3 star, and we actually like the size of this resort..The staff, each and everyone of them are great...Yes the rooms are a bit outdate, especially bathrooms, but they are re-doing the whole resort...Food is outstanding...We will return in a heartbeat..

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing stay

The hotel was beautifully kept. There were fun activities to participate in everyday The various restaurants had a delicious variety of foods.The staff was absolutely friendly and helpful from beginning to end. They made our stay even more memorable. Thank you, thank you.

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Perfect for us

Clean, cozy bungalows, full buffets, no lines, friendly service. Perfect place for retired couple not so much for the younger travellers. Would recommend it go back. We easily arranged excursions with the staff that was available daily. Enjoyed a complementary bottle of Champaign for my birthday.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Great resort

The Hideaway at royalton blue waters is a great resort. The food was good and the beach spectacular. Wish there was more to do on resort like sailing or kayaking. Drinks and food were great. Entertainment was average but fun.

Ocean Eden Bay: Group trip

The property of Ocean Eden Bay is absolutely stunning from the moment you entered the lobby. A good variety of food, a la cartes were easy to book even for our group of 16. The rooms were spacious and all face the pool with a nice swing in your balcony. The pool is very large with multiple raised areas to bathe. The problem was boredom and a terrible beach.. The entertainment was the same every night just a different costume. Entertainment at the pool was learning a dance day after day 9-11, [... read more] nothing from 12-3 then often someone playing an instrument like a violin for almost an hour. They do have a foam party once a week that the entire pool enjoys but only once a week. The bars around the pool often ran out of ice or commonly requested items. The beach is very small, we were not given any service for drinks. All watersports closed around 11 due to wind which they said happens often. The water is almost all coral you have to have water shoes and still be very careful to find a clear spot to stand. It is super shallow not conducive to swimming. The resort stands alone so no beach walking. The staff on the other hand were very friendly and I felt completely safe on the property.

Riu Ocho Rios: Excellent Resort !

We just returned from spending 7 days here , we were a family group of 12. We have nothing bad to say about this resort. Staff were all friendly and worked hard to give us all a great experience .Every where we went the staff were cleaning .Specialty restaurants were great , food and service outstanding . Buffet had an endless rotation of good food . Pools were all fun and well kept. We loved the foam party !!! We also had a photo session on the beach with one of the Photographers at the resort , pics are great. We would highly recommend going to this resort and would return . The only negative was the drive from the Airport , about 2 hours plus but bus drivers were good. . There is private transportation available that might be faster. Thanks Riu staff !

Ocean Coral Spring: Liked the layout

Resort was laid out nice. Enjoyed the food. Sometimes they ran out of certain adult drinks at swim up bars. Was surprised at that! It was very windy the week we went. Bring towel clips. Most staff were very friendly. Beach has lot of coral. But we spent most time in the pool.

Riu Negril: Riu Negril, beautiful well maintained resort.

Newly renovated, the resort is really nice and well maintained, (Note, the resort is a 1 1/2 hour bus ride from the Airport) Rooms are spacious with comfortable balconies. There are several ground floor rooms with swim outs. The buffet dinning rooms have plenty of indoor & out door seating. The food choices are plentiful and good. The specialty restaurants require reservations which seem to be always full. Not being able to make reservations we complained and supervisor staff managed to get  [... read more]us three reservations ( squeaky wheels get greased), there reservation system should be more accommodating. Obviously it can be done. The beach is extensive and there are several other resorts. Walking the entire beach is about a 2 mile walk. There are many vendors, who are friendly and not to pushy. A simple no thank you and they get the message. We passed on going to Rick’s Cafe (younger crowd) went to Ivan’s (a bit quitter place , next door. Overall a great week. The one disappointment was that there were no Mimosas at any of the bars or buffets. This is the first of many resorts we have been to that did not offer Mimosas. Not an earth chattering issue but a disappointment. Notable mentions to Reuben, O’Neil, Mario. Pammette and all those who’s names fail me. On a side note, the Wifi is great indoors but weak on the beach. None of te restaurants have printed menus, accessible via QRcodes; if your not tech savvy the service staff are more than helpful. Hats off to Kevin, Tripcentral, for his assistance with our reservations (2 couples). He was most helpful and was available to answer any of our many questions.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Not a luxury resort

Rooms were not in great condition, were small and typical of luxury rooms. The resort grounds were well kept and clean. The food at the buffet was very good however the a la carte dinning experiences were disappointing. The food was served cold, lacked flavor and long wait times.
