Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Perfect for us
Clean, cozy bungalows, full buffets, no lines, friendly service. Perfect place for retired couple not so much for the younger travellers. Would recommend it go back. We easily arranged excursions with the staff that was available daily. Enjoyed a complementary bottle of Champaign for my birthday.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Great resort
The Hideaway at royalton blue waters is a great resort. The food was good and the beach spectacular. Wish there was more to do on resort like sailing or kayaking. Drinks and food were great. Entertainment was average but fun.

Ocean Eden Bay: Group trip
The property of Ocean Eden Bay is absolutely stunning from the moment you entered the lobby. A good variety of food, a la cartes were easy to book even for our group of 16. The rooms were spacious and all face the pool with a nice swing in your balcony. The pool is very large with multiple raised areas to bathe. The problem was boredom and a terrible beach.. The entertainment was the same every night just a different costume. Entertainment at the pool was learning a dance day after day 9-11,[... read more] nothing from 12-3 then often someone playing an instrument like a violin for almost an hour. They do have a foam party once a week that the entire pool enjoys but only once a week. The bars around the pool often ran out of ice or commonly requested items. The beach is very small, we were not
given any service for drinks. All watersports closed around 11 due to wind which they said happens often. The water is almost all coral you have to have water shoes and still be very careful to find a clear spot to stand. It is super shallow not conducive to swimming. The resort stands alone so no beach walking. The staff on the other hand were very friendly and I felt completely safe on the property.

Riu Ocho Rios: Excellent Resort !
We just returned from spending 7 days here , we were a family group of 12. We have nothing bad to say about this resort. Staff were all friendly and worked hard to give us all a great experience .Every where we went the staff were cleaning .Specialty restaurants were great , food and service outstanding . Buffet had an endless rotation of good food . Pools were all fun and well kept. We loved the foam party !!! Our room was beautiful and we had a great view of pond and the beach on the fifth flo[... read more]or . Beach was great and we always found chairs for all of us . We also had a photo session on the beach with one of the Photographers at the resort , pics are great. We would highly recommend going to this resort and would return . The only negative was the drive from the Airport , about 2 hours plus but bus drivers were good. . There is private transportation available that might be faster. Thanks Riu staff !

Ocean Coral Spring: Liked the layout
Resort was laid out nice. Enjoyed the food. Sometimes they ran out of certain adult drinks at swim up bars. Was surprised at that!
It was very windy the week we went. Bring towel clips.
Most staff were very friendly.
Beach has lot of coral. But we spent most time in the pool.

Riu Negril: Riu Negril, beautiful well maintained resort.
Newly renovated, the resort is really nice and well maintained, (Note, the resort is a 1 1/2 hour bus ride from the Airport) Rooms are spacious with comfortable balconies. There are several ground floor rooms with swim outs. The buffet dinning rooms have plenty of indoor & out door seating. The food choices are plentiful and good. The specialty restaurants require reservations which seem to be always full. Not being able to make reservations we complained and supervisor staff managed to get [... read more]us three reservations ( squeaky wheels get greased), there reservation system should be more accommodating. Obviously it can be done. The beach is extensive and there are several other resorts. Walking the entire
beach is about a 2 mile walk. There are many vendors, who are friendly and not to pushy. A simple no thank you and they get the message. We passed on going to Rick’s Cafe (younger crowd) went to Ivan’s (a bit quitter place , next door. Overall a great week. The one disappointment was that there were no Mimosas at any of the bars or buffets. This is the first of many resorts we have been to that did not offer Mimosas. Not an earth chattering issue but a disappointment. Notable mentions to Reuben, O’Neil, Mario. Pammette and all those who’s names fail me.
On a side note, the Wifi is great indoors but weak on the beach. None of te restaurants have printed menus, accessible via QRcodes; if your not tech savvy the service staff are more than helpful.
Hats off to Kevin, Tripcentral, for his assistance with our reservations (2 couples). He was most helpful and was available to answer any of our many questions.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Not a luxury resort
Rooms were not in great condition, were small and typical of luxury rooms. The resort grounds were well kept and clean. The food at the buffet was very good however the a la carte dinning experiences were disappointing. The food was served cold, lacked flavor and long wait times.

Ocean Eden Bay: As advertised
Susan ,recommended this resort as I was looking for a week in place where I could chill, read and unwind. Unlike some reviews I've read the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. "YA MON". Never an issue getting into a la carte restaurants and lots of variety. Not sure food was 5 star quality but that's common with most resorts. You also need to get your lounger early in morning a recurring problem that happens at every resort . I would definitely consider returning again
The facility is beautiful, huge and has many beaches and pools, resulting in a long "coast line" with plenty of beach chairs that are shaded. We never had to "fight" for a chair or rush to "reserve" one. The other guests were spaced away nicely so we had our privacy by the beach and pools - maybe because it was off season in February. The food was AMAZING. Every buffet offered something new and delicious, especially the Jamaican cuisine. The activities were great, we did the tennis lesson, bike [... read more]ride, and yoga. The beach and pool parties were an absolute blast - the entertainment staff were very engaging. I loved that the resort had such an open and airy infrastructure. We spent all 4 days in the resort without even leaving and we loved it.

Couples Negril: A Stay In Paradise
We have now stopped Caribbean island hopping, as we have found the perfect resort for us. We had the best room, 1101, what they call the Party Room, closest to the beach. The pictures didn't do the Beachfront rooms justice. Once you step inside it is breathtaking, so clean and spacious and the views are stunning. The bed was comfy. We did report a few minot things in the room that needed to be fixed, but those repairs were not done while we were on site. Maid service daily. Food was up and d[... read more]own depending on the restaurant, but mostly 4 out of 5 stars. First time in the Caribbean I was able to eat lobster without paying an extra fee! The beach is magnificent and the water clean and swimmable without having to wear water shoes. There were always beach and pool chairs available. They use the red flag service at the beach. You put the flat up by your chair when you want a drink and take the flag down when you are served. Beach drink service was excellent. The pool was always clean, and although a great meeting place in the afternoons at the swim up bar, it was never too noisy. The beach was walkable in 2 directions, in one direction towards the Royalton, and in the other towards the Riu and Riu Palace. After the Riu, you could visit market tents and barter with the locals for clothing, towels and souvenirs. There were also some vendors who do repeat business right on the beach at the resort. We met great people while there, including staff members. We can't wait to go back. Our only issue this trip was with Sunwing not with the resort at all.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Great resort
The service we received when there was 5 star . The people are so nice you can have a conversation with them.they were very accommodating from 24hour room service which was good our fridge was never empty we tip out beer cart conisour and he took very good care of us .the tub worked and the water was always hot .the bed was good and ac was ice cold . The maids always turn it down so check thermostat or u will freeze.the food was great we loved Jazmin buffet and the jerk centre chicken. The drink[... read more]s were great lots of alcohol.we liked all the options of beaches to choose from and enjoyed being around the coconut beach bar. Lots of options for smokers aswell.the pools were great again lots of options multiple pools to suit your liking.we think the lobby bar was first class drinks and service . We used a private driver for our excursions ask Garfield about Raymond he took good care of us. Much cheaper and u spend time doing what you want not sitting in bus all day..the resort is getting long in the tooth but they were always painting trying to maintain.very clean resort . My biggest complaint is do not get a room facing the highway it is not quit trucks all day blowing horns an Jake breaks very frustrating by end of week as we would spend time on balcony between 3:30 and 5:300 before super and end of day before bed .

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Resort grounds are beautiful but staff are next level.
First we checked in just after midnight and the room that was given to us is not an ocean view which was not what we paid for, they gave me a hard time to switch rooms for the next day they tried to push to change the room after 2 days. My husband and son got severe mosquito bites and the staff did not care. Just so much attitude from front desk staff especially the women’s. The buffet ran out of shrimps 3 days in a row I finally had it with one of the staff after complaining all of a sudden shr[... read more]imps suddenly appeared. We had a family reunion party of 35+ they couldn’t accommodate us for a restaurant we had to Settled for Buffett dinner every night because the app NEVER worked. Then I finally got reservations at the Calypso restaurant 10 guest for 9pm, we didn’t getting serving plates for appetizers plus majority of the menu was not available we then ate past 10pm and while eating we see a cockroach crawling on the wall. The stuff was complaining how tired they were and wanted us out asap it literally ruined and ended our dinner. Our flight was delayed more then 6 hrs coming back to Toronto and I booked a courtesy room from 5pm-6pm and didn’t even get to use close to 5:40pm. The supervisor felt like she was doing us a favour supervisor to use the shower at the spa because the courtesy room was still being cleaned. The resort is very unorganized they tell you to speak with this supervisor and when you do she tells you something different from what the other staff has told you. Too much mixed communications being told. I got married at the Royalton in Trelawny and the were amazing but the Royalton Negril I would Never go back to nor recommend to anyone. Waste of money.

Dreams Rose Hall: Amazing Resort & Friendly Staff
The resort was amazing, the staff were so friendly and warming. The lazy river and the bartenders at the pool bar had to be one of the highlights of our trip! The beach was murky but we didn't spend alot of time there so didn't bother us. We absolutely will be coming back just flying with a different company as that was the worst experience ever coming home..

Couples Swept Away: Nice resort
This is the second Couples resort we have been to (the other being Sans Souci). What we love about the Couples resorts is that they are truly all-inclusive with absolutely no tipping allowed (you pay more up front so that this money is spread fairly amongst all of the staff including those who are non-guest facing). As a result the service is generally much better and the experience much more relaxing. Our room in the Great House was a little worn but clean and room service provided us with lots[... read more] of towels as well as nightly turn down service. The beach was beautiful but with two caveats: we quickly learned that we needed to get up early to reserve lounge chairs with towels or we would not be able to get seats. And secondly we got stuck repeatedly breathing in second hand cigarette smoke from chain smokers who ignored the rule against smoking on the beach despite plenty of designated smoking areas nearby. In general the service was good but it was not as exceptional as at Sans Souci and there was some poor service. With a few notable exceptions, the staff was just not as friendly and welcoming as we were used to at Sans Souci. I have to note that we were super happy to see that most of the very friendly and healthy looking cats on the resort were ear tipped showing that they were spayed and neutered. Great credit goes towards the resort for this.

Moon Palace Jamaica: AMAZING RESORT!!??
The grounds overall are very well maintained . A few minor things need to be upgraded but that's part of upkeeping that they are trying to repair due volume. The dining experience is 5 stars. Hotel rooms are clean but need a few updates due to volume again. Amenities are 5 stars. Anything you need they have : " what the customer wants the customer gets". Families will be pleased with so much choice. Entertainment is amazing. Looking forward to coming back. Melissa at the pool kept the drinks flo[... read more]wing . Austin in the Buckaneer buffet made sure to welcome us and serve us with great care. Ruon McIntosh in Guest Services is an amazing member to their team and puts customers first. Further more Errando in Public Relations was so helpful when our flight was canceled and we needed help to rebook for the extra night. Looking forward to going to The Moon Palace again, preferably next week but most likely next winter again.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: 2nd time here!
We vacationed here in Feb 2023 and decided to do it again less kids.It was up to par again! The food is above average and i would insist on getting diamond club inclusive pool, bars and private beach. The rooms are very nice with ample size even the luxury jr we stayed in is more than enough for 2.We loved Tevin our bartender by the main lobby he got us drinks with the upgraded alcohol. This is the trick here at this resort(like many) you have to ASK for the upgraded alcohol or they give you generi[... read more]c.Note the bus ride from MO-Bay(Airport) is LONG...i suggest earlier flights to MO-Bay if your heading to Negril.
Entertainment is varied, the Silent Disco and Michael Jackson Show are the two best imho.Ricks Cafe is a must if your doing an excursion i suggest taking cab ..the boat ride over sux getting in and out of there is BS...cab is WAY better. he will drop u off and pick up whenever u like we stayed 2 hrs. on 7 Mile Beach then he picked us up to go to Ricks for 2 hrs...it is quite pricy for drinks and food but hey it is what it is.
The resort does ask you to do the loyalty program interview (basically time share) and they are persistent. We went to help out the employee and we ended up getting a beach dinner and spa for it! just say NO to the loyalty program its a waste of 2 hrs unless u want the spa and dinner lol.
Tipping is a good idea but dont go overboard we tipped our cleaning lady everyday and our servers just give a little and u get alot!
The Jamaican people are always nice and friendly and i would most definitely come back all Royaltons we went to are very nice from staff to the beach! No vendor problems and they are not pushy at all.
We come back to Jamaica every yr the weather is always on par and what else do you really need its all here. The people the food the beaches,Reggae vibes, its just so chill no problem man! I suggest leaving on Tues/Wed if you can no lineups thru customs quite a breeze.
