Hotel was nice and staff was very polite and accommodating . Food was good but basic. Beach is very small and not as big as the pictures make it seem. Overall the resort was good and we were happy with our stay.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: A lovely stay! With just a few sore points...

OVERALL: We had a wonderful stay at the Melia. There are an abundance of positives, however there were a number of items we found frustrating, that given the star rating of the hotel we weren't really expecting. Read below! POSITIVES: - Amazing BEACH. Cable beach is beautiful, well-groomed, easily walked, soft-white sand. The beach also has lots of snorkelling within the swim area. - Great EQUIPMENT, chairs & such for use from the resort (e.g. snorkel gear, floats, etc). All right on t [... read more]he beach, along with a volleyball court and bocci ball. - Excellent RESTAURANTS/FOOD. This was definitely our favourite highlight. It is very clear that all the restaurants have been renovated and offer a variety of cuisines. We highly enjoyed every one. The Marketplace (buffet for all meals) also has a wide selection of foods (however, it is mostly the same each day for each meal). - Main facilities - LOBBY area (incl. restaurants) and pool areas were nice. - ACTIVITIES - Seems as though the resort had a good variety of activities for all ages and different themes each day. We didn't get to take advantage of as many as we would have liked (with having an infant with us), but the shows & bands we did catch were good. - RENO CREW - Although there were people there working on exterior renovations everyday, I did not find their work to be disruptive or intrusive in anyway. GOOD & BAD: STAFF - While some of our service was very friendly (restaurant staff, cleaning and some specific staff we would see often), we generally found many of the staff to be discontent. Smiles were sometimes few and far between and some just seemed downright frustrated to be talking to you at all. NEGATIVES: - CHECK-IN was extremely slow and over complicated. We understood it was a Saturday arrival, and therefore busy, but we waited almost 45mins just to get our bands and a map, and then had to come back later to wait another 30mins to get our keys. Not really sure what the hold-up was or how it could be made more efficient? - Attention to DETAILS - We had confirmed a crib three times, including at the first stage of check-in. Unfortunately there was no crib once we got in our room and it took several hours before one was delivered. - ELECTRICAL issues (not sure how much is related to ongoing renovations). Our breaker that controlled our television & fridge went out everyday at least once, and on average took at least an hour to be flipped back on. We had nothing plugged in on that wall. This also would not have usually bothered us, but because we were travelling with our young daughter, we were often back in the room for her naps. - Spotty WI-FI. Again, I usually wouldn't have cared, but they didn't have general computers to use either, and I had a job-related e-mail I was expecting. So either stronger wi-fi or computers to use would have been nice. Also, not sure if it was related, but the reservation system for the restaurants was down almost everyday and we always had to go back. - CARPET in rooms. The rooms are definitely not updated to the standard of other parts of the hotels. And I can confirm, as many other reviews have, that the carpet in the rooms and halls are damp and kind of icky feeling. - Several of the hotel RULES. *Reserving Chairs/CABANAS - This rule often left tons of useful shaded space on the beach empty. We understood the premise of the rule to allow people to go grab food or drinks, but overall we found it frustrating. *SMOKING - The hot tub rules stated no smoking, but the pool & beach areas did not. Including the family pool areas. Several times we felt forces to move because other guests lit up directly beside our child. We were also not the only guests we noticed moving with their children from cigars and cigarettes being smoked. While we understood these were public places, we would have greatly appreciated there being better designated areas (not only because of kids, but also just for those who also do not smoke). - SEPTIC TANK Cleaning - This one was a surprise! Middle of the day (11am), directly beside the family pool and one of the hot tubs, a truck arrived and began emptying the septic for one of the bathrooms. Absolutely a necessary thing to do...but not at this time and for the length of time it took (over 25mins). Ourselves, plus at least 2/3 of the other guests in the area were forced to move due to the overwhelming smell. It was quite revolting and ultimately this pushed the hotel from a 4-star to a 3-star for us. - Shortage of MINT - This one is small, but was slightly irritating none the less. Almost everyday they would run out of mint (maybe there is a shortage everywhere?) I just wanted to enjoy a virgin mojito and frequently there was none to be had. Again, small stuff, but maybe worth a mention! I hope people find this review somewhat helpful. As a whole, I would still recommend the Melia and my husband and I both agree that as their renovations continue some what we didn't appreciate will probably improve! There are definitely some sticky points here and there though that could be fixed immediately and you may want to consider before booking for the price point of the hotel.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Enjoyed 👌

Our second time there and there are so many positives to it. Transfer was good - about 25 minutes from airport Check in was easy with a welcome drink. Our room was ready so that was a bonus. It was clean with nice bathroom - no fan!. Mattress a little on the soft side. We had a king size bed. Lovely beach, lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Just gave the helper a couple of dollars to set the 10 chairs we needed for our group. Buffet was excellent with tons of choices - tons of veggies, fish a [... read more]nd meats, fruit and desserts yummy 😋 3 specialty restaurants- but this is where they need improvement with accessing them. No reservations but you need to line up as early as 5:30 to try and get in at 6:30, with the risk of not being seated until 7:30/8. Having been to many AI I don’t understand why they don’t allow guests to secure 1 restaurant per 3 night stay. The men in our group actually preferred the buffet anyway. Steak house was very good. Pools are lovely - 1 was very party atmosphere- tons of stags, stagette groups or special birthdays (30 or 40). Hotel Renos are fantastic. Night was ok in all night bar with stage. Daytime workouts around pool. Some volleyball beach. We stayed on beach each day as we prefer it. Another area for improvement is to have a better grasp on cruise ship guests using hotel lounge chairs - public beach so can’t stop them from beach but each day the Riu staff asked people to get off lounge chairs in a nice manner. Atlantis is next door so very convenient. We also went to the marina one night and it was lovely. The yachts are stunning. We would return for a third time as it’s a great 3 night getaway fairly priced with many pluses

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great Resort

Our room view sucked and our balcony was so small we couldn’t sit comfortably! We chose not to upgrade or move as we never spend much time in the room anyways. The beach was amazing! Beautiful clear water white sandy beach. Bar service was good staff very friendly the food was awesome. We only ate at the buffet as the other restaurants were done on a first come first serve basis and I didn’t want to wait in huge lineups when the buffet food was awesome. Riu Palace Paradise Island: The best!!!!!!!!

The Riu on Paradise Island was amazing. The resort was always spotless and the staff were so friendly. We always tried to get the same waiter in the buffet, Christoph, he remembered what we drank after our first meal, he was great!!!! The food was incredible, we ate in the buffet every meal, the selection was great. Breezes Bahamas: It was ok

Food wasn't good. Went off resort to find good food because I wanted at least one good meal. Drink selection was very limited and not good. Beach was ok, tons of seaweed though. Staff was generally friendly. There's a grill right beside the pool so there are seagulls constantly trying to take your food.

Warwick Paradise Island: Beautiful resort

We really enjoyed our stay at Warwick. The staff were friendly and the food was amazing. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds and the area. We would definitely return this amazing resort.

Breezes Bahamas: Beautiful getaway

I went on this trip with my boyfriend and we had a fantastic week! The people that work at the resort are amazing. Now, I read that review before I went and didn’t think anything of it... but we actually made friends there and will miss everyone! Resort is smaller and very cozy. The only thing I would caution is we forgot to put money in the safe our first day and some was taken from a backpack. Please use the safe!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Good Resort

Hotel staff was friendly; Grounds were well maintained; Amenities were varied and easily accessible; Entertainment options each night were interesting and fun. A few of the a la carte restaurant menus contained misprints so there was an issue with ordering allergy friendly food items at dinner time and the Market Buffet staff could not provide a list of ingredients for some main dishes which also limited food options for our family member with food sensitivities/allergies. Warwick Paradise Island: Great Stay!

Just got back from spending 7 nights at the Warwick Resort on Paradise Island. Awesome resort - clean rooms, friendly staff that go out of their way to make you comfortable, excellent food at all restaurants especially the Edgewater Grill. Pool is fantastic and drinks were excellent. Close in proximity to Atlantis Resort and some shopping. I would highly recommend this resort - great value for your money.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Very good resort

A beautiful clean hotel as the beach. Their staff where very friendly and where always willing to help you out if needed. Their food was great, very nice room and always lots to drink in the room. I would very much like to return for a VK.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Good waterfront resort

Great beach. Always a chair available. Check in was confusing and unfriendly None of the hotel amenities were explained. Room service orders for breakfast were lost two days in a row. Phone did not work in room. Food is average on all inclusive side. The paying restaurant Black Angus is fantastic with great food and service. Air conditioning worked well in the room. Bed was comfortable. Did not like the people smoking constantly in the balcony beside us as we could not use our own balcony [... read more].

Rooms - to begin with the rooms i would have to say really good. You can defiantly tell that the cleaning staff use proper soaps to clean the floors and around corners. it's smelt fresh upon entering the room each day. 2 negatives things that i did not like and should've seen to prepare is you get no mini fridge which i'm used to from Dominican and Jamaica getting free water, pops and beers ect each day to keep the thirst away. ALSO please people... if you go to a resort because of a world class room stay at home. you're there to enjoy weather and get a tan :) the rooms are nice and you'll be satisfied. Dining - breakfast, lunch and dinner had been pretty good. for the size of the resort i guess you could say food selection was decent. not to much but it had your mains like meats, pasta, rice ect.. Fruits always stocked and sweets. i'm not to complain about many options as taste was there. WE NEVER WENT to the A la carte restaurants as my wife was pregnant at the time and wanted to munch here and there. i did here good selections and enjoyment out of them tho. Italian was a nice one from people thoughts, maybe next time. Public areas - nice, VERY open. as soon as you enter to check in you can see the ocean and breeze coming in through the windowless areas. once again very clean and it being an open environment in the lobby area makes it feel nice and relaxing. Pool - pool was nice, big enough for the crowd there and you had space to swim around with the swim up bar. seating was nice, always a place to sit down and choose from. there was also a snack bar which served hamburgers, hot dogs / fries and other munchy foods. Beach - the best sand I've ever walked in! so beautiful and sea weed free on the resort area. Really relaxing laying in a hammock listening to the oceans waves. They did have these little shaded huts you could rent out for $50 a day USD but i didn't see the experience there when they'd just serve you drinks and get you food. nothing special or worth 50$ to me. getting up once in a while to grab a drink is nice to walk around. save your money. Plus if you need or want shade go under a palm tree which was more enjoyable for us and is free :) Overall - i would recommend this resort to others looking for a nice getaway small but has what you need we did walk the beach down to Melia and BahAmar resort and tbh... you're paying much more for something where #1 the price wont change the weather or conditions you're in and #2 if you want to spend 3-600$ more a person feel free but honestly you can enjoy yourself just as much as you can on the other resorts. it all depends what you go on vacation for. All in all do a little research before booking and i'm sure you'll make a great choice :) Bahamas was defiantly nice and relaxing, hope to return one day.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Beautiful Resort with room for improvement

My husband and I did a one bedroom villa with butler service for 7 days. We got picked up at the airport with a Rolls Royce which was fun. The property and beach are absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t ask for more. 10 stars for Butlers-Sean, Denver and Carol. There are 3 major areas that can be improved. 1) Check in time - Waiting 2-3 hours to check in is unacceptable. This needs to be fixed . 2) Housekeeping- Leaving room service plates in the hallway overnight? Really? 3) The food at this reso [... read more]rt just wasn’t great. Not even the restaurants you needed a reservation for. That being said, we got to relax on our Babymoon which was most essential :)

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Awesome place!!!

This was our first time to Bahamas, and what a beautiful place! Melia all inclusive was amazing! The staff, the rooms, the food, and of course the entertainment were outstanding! The beach was pristine and we'll be back! Thanks TripCentral! Awesome!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing resort& staff

My wife & I really enjoyed the Riu hotel on paradise island.The staff was friendly & hospitable everyday.The pool & beach were terrific.I loved the fish that were swimming with us in the ocean. I would thoroughly enjoy going back.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Nice resort

Nice clean resort. Food and service were both great. Beautiful beach and water that you could sit around or take a long walk. Pool was ok, they needed music instead of just putting a Shawn Paul cd and hitting play like they did one day. Rooms need a little renovating to give the resort feel rather than a hotel room as they appeared to be a little outdated. Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Nice resort

Nice resort perfect for families as it's on the smaller size... wouldn't recommend for a couple wanting to go for relaxation as it was very busy with alot of families with small children. Food was great and friendly service. Hotel looks like it could use a bit of some TCL as it was looking a bit worn. We were also missing that "resort feeling" as it was basically just a hotel room.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great beach and spectacular sea/ocean

The water and the beach was amazing. One of the best we have seen. Pools seem to be nice but they should try better keeping them clean. The hotel itself is so so. Needs improvements and they are working on it. Beds (doubles) were horrible. Food was ok. Service could be much better easily. Still I recommend depending on price you pay because of its beach and sea.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great Getaway

My husband and I just got back from a weeks vacation at the Riu Palace Paradise Island. It was our first time in an adults only resort and found that it was a nice change. The resort itself was smaller then other Riu's we have been to but on the plus side it was very easy to access Restaurants etc... We were on the 15th floor and we had a partial Ocean view which was beautiful to wake up to in the morning. I also enjoyed being able to hear the sound of the ocean from our room. The beach was beau [... read more]tiful but did have some rough water days where you could still enjoy the view and then cool off in the pools. The pool bar was a lot of fun and had a great view of the Ocean. We very much enjoyed the service at the beach where you could get an umbrella and chairs set up for you anywhere you like. This was a nice touch. The staff were very helpful and made an effort to make sure you enjoyed your stay with the exception of the Entertainment staff. I have been to many resorts and unfortunately have to say they were the worst. Considering that this is what they are paid for I couldn't help but get the impression that they did not want to socialize with the guests and showed no enthusiasm.The other cons would be the coffee shop needs to be open in the morning. Prime time when people want coffee. In closing we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this resort for it's beach, rooms, cleanliness and service.
