Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great hotel

I will point out the only 2 negative. The beds are too soft; for me. Secondly, the junior suite ocean view is not actually a suite, its a room with a small table and 2 chairs. The balcony is tight. The suite I thought we booked is called a superior junior suite! The restaurants were fantastic especially the Krystal. Hotel was renovated in 2017. Staff are so nice ALL of them! Although, people are selling items on the beach, if you politely say no thank you they go away. Not like in mexi [... read more]co where they harass the heck out of you. Look for Big John on the beach for an incredible foot massage and entertainment lol I'd go back to Riu in a heart beat!!! Also Tripcentral was amazing to book with - better than Selloff vacations who I previously booked with. Great job Tripcentral :)

Riu Palace Paradise Island: RIU on Paradise Island, Nassau

The resort is located on a beautifully kept beach. Lots of loungers and staff available to set up the loungers and umbrellas. The resort itself is clean and staff are friendly. The buffet was not the best, the quality wasn’t that great. The a la cartes do not take reservations, which resulted in my husband and I not getting into the steakhouse the night that we tried, the restaurant opened at 6:30 pm and by 7:30 pm they weren’t taking anyone else. There are a lot of great spaces to sit and relax within the resort, definitely not crowded or difficult to find a lounger, table or couch. The cappuccino bar was nice. We weren’t happy with our view from our room. Oceanview is variable and our first room was on a lower floor with a direct view of a rooftop with a loud air conditioner sounding noise and from the corner you could see the ocean. We contacted our travel agent and we were moved to a better view. We did notice that many people around us weren’t tipping staff which was surprising and disappointing, especially in the a la carte restaurants that provide excellent service and have multiple courses. Overall, it was a relaxing getaway. Not sure I sure would do a 7 day stay, 4 was enough given the size of the resort.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: A very nice resort

I found the hotel and grounds very clean,the staff very friendly.The food was good.It was nice being an adults only resort.Just a little small,not much to do in the evening.The beach got quite crowded during the day,so if you got there later,it was hard to get a spot or chairs.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Huge Change In the Resort

We have been to the Riu for the past 6 years, since the renovations of adult only and previously. The resort always was great, good food, friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, etc. This time around I can't say the same, the staff was very unfriendly and not attentive at all in the restaurants. Your dishes could pile up and they wouldn't come over to clean them. You would ask for a drink and they seemed bothered about it. The dinner buffet was the exact same food every night. The weather unfortunately wasn't good which has never happened to us before in Bahamas, they said it was the first in 40 years to have a cold front this time of year. Given the weather situation you would think the staff would care to have maybe some extra smiles and have some entertainment happening but no nothing. Needless to say I think we will not be going back to this property again, also when you needed a taxi from the resort no one from the Riu would help, so basically every day the prices were different and one staff member had the nerve to say well then walk if u don't like the price. Bahamas is a wonderful island but the staff and their attitude killed the trip. This is coming from a person who loves her Bahamas trips and loved the Riu.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Exceeded my expectations!

I've been to Bahamas 3x and knew what to expect from a 3.5* hotel. Check in was easy, booked our al la cartes right after checking in. We didnt get our rooms until 3pm l, so we just changed into our bathing suits and enjoyed the beach and pool. The staff were friendly, grounds were pristine, pool was clean, and common areas were clean. Our room was outdated, but let's be real I didn't go to the Bahamas to stay in the room. I found that if you treated staff with respect, they treated you with respect. At the buffet we often sat at a table that didnt have cutlery, but no problem we just helped ourselves. The one takeaway from this was you're going to have a great time and if you don't then that is on you. There is no reason from what I could see from my experience that I could have had a bad time. Little things happen but it doesnt change my feelings towards our vacation. We had a great time!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Remarkable Intimate Unlimited - RIU

A well maintained property with staff that pay attention to detail. The rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The food is plentiful and tasty. The buffet always has a good variety of options and we enjoyed eating there. We celebrated my birthday at the Steak restaurant and the food and service were exceptional. We enjoyed the entertainment in the evening, especially the Michael Jackson tribute and even found ourselves in the nightclub for an evening drink.

The Beach at Atlantis: Amazing Resort!

My husband, 3 year old and I had an amazing time at Atlantis. There is so much to do and see. The staff were all super friendly, the grounds were well maintained, the food was good (expensive as was expected. The beach towers a bit dated but it worked perfectly for us.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Viva Wyndham

If it wasn’t for the Spring Breaker’s vulgarity and inappropriate behaviour I would give this resort an amazing review. I believe these student trips should only be allowed to be at an adult only resort. My children and others heard profanity, wet tee-shirt contests etc. Loved the beach, service, food.... but would never go here again, as I’m a teacher and can only go during March Break. The Coral at Atlantis: Atlantis The Coral eithbKids 1 week stay

The Coral although was said to be newly renovated still felt pretty old style. It was clean and rooms were a good size. Wish there was somewhere to hang wet swim suits after being in the water each day but I think most beach resort rooms lack this. Complaints: balcony glass doors were run down and taped with electrical tape. Moved to 2 rooms and realized this was the same. Didn’t feel this was what we paid for but seemed to be the standard. Resort had lots of water activities and we took our time spending each day doing 2 things like beach and water park. We’re typically use to smaller 200-300 room resorts, and so Atlantis was huge for us. Caring a map around for the first 3 days and I did get lost at the water park one time. Most water slides require being 48” tall and a decent swimmer. Would return if found a cheaper deal and was going with friends and family. Found the theatre a nice break from the sun and many nice restaurants along with the marina village to check out. Dolphins cay was a blast.

Warwick Paradise Island: Great vacation

My partner and I had a wonderful time at this resort, the beach and pool were clean and fun. Always activities happening, and the staff were amazing! Linden keeps it real! We never had any problems and would go back there in a heartbeat.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Excellent Resort

This was my second time at this resort I would recommend this hotel. All the staff was amazing excellent service. The beach was clean and beautiful, allot of beach chairs available . The beach bar was excellent great staff and snack bar had amazing hamburgers at lunch. The rooms were very clean comfort beds but could use some upgrading. There is 3 restaurants to dine at all excellent and guest services book the reservations all at once for th [... read more]e week so no standing in line everyday to hopefully get a spot for dinner ! Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great vacation

My husband and I spent 4 days at the Riu, Nassau March 3-7. Fantastic beach and hotel. Staff were all friendly and the service was very good - from the room service, restaurant and bar tenders . We didn't make it to the a la carte's but the buffet and outdoor grill were very good. Lots of options at the buffet and different each night. Nice quick walk over to the Atlantis, the Marina at the Atlantis and the Craft Market. Will definitely recommend.

Warwick Paradise Island: Wonderful Honeymoon at Warwick Paradise Island!

Warwick Paradise Island was a wonderful honeymoon! The food was amazing! We ate at the buffet for most meals and there was a good variety, with a lot of flavor! The Edgewater was delicious and a romantic experience sitting on the deck, looking out onto the water. Tings on a stick was really good too! The rooms were clean and supplied daily with water. We went for the walk with the resort staff, where we explored the Island and the Versailles gardens, which was really nice. The grounds and resort was very well maintained, clean and the greenery was nice. The Bahamas and especially Paradise Island are so beautiful. We felt very safe walking around and went for a bike ride around the island, as well as visited Atlantis and their casino a few times. We will be back!

Breezes Bahamas: Amazing location

The hotel is old, but clean and well maintained. The beach is beautiful and that is only few minutes walk from the hotel. The Nassau downtown is a 10-15 min bus ride and buses are very frequent. That was our second time at Breezes and for sure we will go again.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great resort

Excellent Food, clean resort, Beach was nice with crystal clear water and very few waves even on windy days. Pools were beautiful and service was great at bars and restaurants, you had to ask for most things like drinks or ketchup etc. but once asked for it came promptly. There are a few parts of resort that are showing some age but over all a great experience.

Breezes Bahamas: Nice resort

Comfortable resort located on Cable beach. The grounds are well kept and the rooms are comfortable. Specialty restaurants are very good. Beautiful beach. Resort is 10 minutes from Nassau accessible by the local bus that stops in front of the hotel.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Amazing Staff, Gorgeous Beach, Good times!

My wife and I had a great time at this resort. Our experience was that Staff attitude always positive, service solid, the food was great for an all-inclusive, beach and water was just amazing, we didn’t use the pool much since its warm water pool and the beach is just awesome. The outside technically has only one bar and at times it could be very busy and hard to get a drink. The restaurants are first come first server so guests may need to plan ahead to get a spot, as some of the restaurants may sell out for a night after meeting a quota.

Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Not too happy

The rooms really need to be updated!! The housekeeper skills could definitely be improved! The food was pretty good for the most part. The beach was very nice! Didn’t find the staff to be all that friendly! We have done a lot of traveling, first time to the Bahamas, would go back but not to this resort!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Nice Stay

While doing our research for this trip we found there were a lot of mixed reviews for this property. Compared to other islands we have visited, this is more like an all inclusive hotel, rather than resort. The property is small, but was very clean, (every day, all day there were people cleaning the lobby area, pool area, etc.). We found everyone at the hotel to be very friendly and the entertainment staff were great! Our experience was vendors just walked by and if you didn't engage with them, they kept walking- not bothersome at all. The property is right next door to the Atlantis property which is very convenient. From the Riu you can also walk into town, it took us about 40 minutes. The restaurants do not accept reservations, which allows you to go to a different restaurant each night. We never found the wait long, they give you a buzzer and by the time you have a drink at the bar, your table is ready. Overall the only small thing we noticed was the lobby bar had a damp smell. Saying that, it didn't really interfere with our trip, it was our first time to the Bahamas and we loved the location of the hotel.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: It was OK!

The furnitures were dated and the night life was not really attractive! The hotel has really modern and beautiful environment but as I said the furniture are really dated. The was good specially at restaurants but it is hard to reserve specially for the first day. The beach was perfect. Some waitresses are very impolite some are really good. All in all it was not bad! 3 star!
