Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Not so amazing

To start I have to say we have been to the Royal Decameron at least 10 time prior to this trip and loved it, I can’t say that about this trip. They are short staffed for sure, but there are rule for some that other don’t follow and aren’t enforced. You couldn’t sit at a pool bar because all the tables and chairs were removed by these guest with no consideration for other guest. As for food we never had a hot meal there unless it was breakfast and you ordered Eggs or omelettes. The pools  [... read more]were never crystal clear as they always were in previous trip two were even closed our last two days there, they were green. We will never go back unfortunately, the staff work extremely hard, they really need more help. The Decameron is really in need of upgrading and maintenance that is much needed.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Amazing staff !

This resort is an older property needs major updating to rooms bathrooms the water doesn't flow properly the shower leaks on to the floor outside! Lighting is poor on vanity sad looking vanity and sinks ! Outside the gardens need new plants paths are uneven and broken . Pool area needs major improvement bar is tiny long lineup for drinks staff is amazing though 👌 the cushions and seating is worn out and thin you can feel the hard seat through the tatty old cushions! Specialty restaurant very small choice of dishes wine is absolutely awfull no one was drinking it after they tried it once ! The worst I have ever tasted 😩 The only thing that made it okay was the staff ! Beach staff excellent! Entertainment staff great as well as all the serving staff and cleaning staff thanks to them for making my stay enjoyable

Decameron Isla Coral: Wonderful vacation

I want to stress how wonderful the staff was especially Rubi. She was amazing. Spoke English, touched base with us regularly and helped us as needed. The resort’s COVID protocol was good. Our temperature was taken upon arrival, masks were worn in common areas (by most guests) and the resort was clean. They cleaned consistently. Due to COVID, there is no shuttle between resorts. It only cost 40 pesos each way - if you wanted to go between them for al a carte dinners. On the beach, 15-20 [... read more] minute walk to one. Food was good. And you can choice which al a carte restaurant you would like between the three resorts. Our room was basic but clean. No fridge and little drawer space. We travelled with Air Transat. Please be aware, there is no representative on site at any of the Decameron resorts and the excursions are not accessible.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Bucerias - Decameron Resort

The resort is a little older, but well maintained. Super clean resort. If you are a food snob, this might be a challenging resort for you. I am a food snob and can always find something great to eat. Ceviche everyday is my favorite. Also the chocolate ice-cream for dessert is amazing...I wish they had hot Churros available daily though. Pools a [... read more]re clean and you have a choice of many of them. There is a quiet adult pool as well and it's large. We go every year and have been for since 2010. Love this resort, it's so laid back and casual. They installed all new A/C units that are very quiet and work well. Beds were a little more comfortable this time around, so I think that they changed out the mattresses as well. It would be great if the next upgrade was the bathroom taps and shower heads. But I can imagine that due to Covid the past 2 years have not been money makers. I think that all trip facilitators should remove the quote that "tips are included in the package" THEY ARE NOT. As a traveler you should always tip the people serving you, it's common curtesy. Don't just tip your bartender. Tip your maid, your restaurant server, towel provider, etc...Most of the staff at resorts are paid minimum wages, which is 140 Pesos per day, which is equivalent to approximately $10 a day Canadian, depending on the exchange rate. Also remind yourself that you are a guest in this country and should use the terms, please and thank-you. Overall, great trip, comfortable resort and the location is awesome.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Would not come again

My husband and I went to this hotel from the 7th-11th of April. The good things about the hotel are 1) They have a drink menu with some awesome drinks 2)Entertainment Crew was great 3)The beach is absolutely beautiful 4) Pool is very nice 5) Resort is clean 6) Food is great and nice variety 7) Love the Coffee Bar above the lobby. Now to the negative parts and reasons why I would not return here. We ended up having to pay for a taxi. When we asked the hotel they said I would need to call tripcentreal for reimbursement. Then at the hotel gate they could not find our booking. Later at the front desk they managed to find us. My husband and I love to play sports, and this resort does not have a soccer field, tennis court, or volleyball court. They do have a basketball court for which they don't have balls for (but they sell them at the store...?) and they installed a badminton net at volleyball net height (also no volleyball even if you wanted to make due). The attitude from the majority of the workers here was poor and unfriendly. I do want to shout out to Arlando, Shamoya and Tameka who made our stay so much more enjoyable, they honestly went above and beyond. In our room the fan made so much noise that we thought it was going to fall on us so we turned it off right away after turning it on. I also think the AC thermostat did not work because if we turned it on it would get way too cold. So most of the time we had it off. The stocked fridge included 2 waters, 2 beers and 2 cokes which were not always all replaced. We didn't get to book the restaurant AT ALL because they only took same day bookings and by 7:40am it was booked up. I found this unfair, everyone should be able to enjoy one day at the restaurant. The snack bar almost NEVER had jerk chicken, and the one time my husband got upset they called us back and a plate magically appeared. My husband and I were really looking forward to a massage on the beach, but they were not offering any spa services. Instead they directed us across the street, which we did not go. We also won two games and when we went to claim the prizes the day we left they gave both of us one small bottle to share, when they were handing out 9 bottles on the beach for peoples birthdays the day before. They offered us the bottle of champagne INSTEAD of the small bottle of rum. Not a place for kids, this resort is for older people that want to lay on the beach or around the pool all day. I have stayed at RIU Ocho Rios before and I would have preferred to pay the extra $300 and have an amazing stay. Looking at going back later this year with our kids to Beaches Boscobel, Ocho Rios. We also wasted $80 on the rapid test in Canada because no where did they ask us for it, but I did hear from other guests at other resorts that they were asked so get it just incase.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Great location! Amazing service!

Thank you to all the staff at The Royal Decameron Los Cabos. What an amazing time we had. The room was big and clean. The service was incredible by all the staff. We loved our week. Thank you so much!

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: The staff were fantastic!

This was my third visit to the Royal Decameron in Los Cabo’s. It is a smaller resort which we prefer. We felt as safe with their COVID protocols. The staff were constantly cleaning all the surfaces. We were required to wear masks indoors and while getting food from the buffet. The staff served the food from behind plexiglass, which was a bit annoying because they often piled too much on our plates and the food didn’t always stay hot by the time you sent to the different stations, but un [... read more]derstandable. The pools were clean and you could always find a chair. A few more umbrellas would be nice. Overall the resort is getting a little tired. It could use some sprucing up in some areas but it was nice and clean and the staff were amazing. Everyone from the front desk, the restaurant staff, the bartenders to the cleaning staff bent over backwards to ensure we had a good time.

Grand Decameron Los Cabos: Fantastic

I must give a huge shout out to Jessica and German who are part of the animation team. Juan, the bartender at the pool bar and the staff all around were incredible. It was so nice to be a part of living with other people after this stupid covid thing and this is the resort to do it at. I highly recommend this resort but you have to bring your fun side with you in order to get the most out of your experience here.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: AGING RESORT - EXCELLENT LOCATION

This resort is dated. We had an ocean view room which was amazing for the view not the ammenities. No fridge in room, no booze and we had no hot water all week. The internet wifi was free in our building (#1) but didn't work most of the time we were there. All of the a la cartes were amazing with great service. a la cartes were unlimited and you can book it through the app (wifi not needed). The buffets were ok not amazing. I expected a newer room and this is definetly an older building. The pools were not heated and cool no swim up bar. We spent time off resort and it felt very safe. Many yummy restaurants within walking distance. The beach was beautiful and you can walk for miles. Will go back to this location but not necessarily this resort. All wait staff were friendly and helpful. Front desk staff were not overly helpful or forthcoming with information.

Decameron La Marina: Best Vacation Ever

We won a trip to De Cameron La Marina in Nov 2019 & finally were able to go Feb 2022. We took our 2.5 year old son & it was the BEST vacation I have ever taken. The hotel staff was incredibly helpful & friendly. Amenities were spotless. Food was incredible. The town outside hotel was safe & inviting! We love it there!

Grand Decameron Montego Beach: Amazing resort and staff nice people beach is beautiful only few suggestions there was only one beer brand and if you don't like music and noise then it's not for you it's on main road you can hear traffic noise in your room easily

Travelled late February 2022. Resort staff - in a word Excellent. Genuinely friendly. Always eager to a assist with any issue. COVID - resort was very diligent in cleaning, disinfecting and ensuring staff and visitors followed covid protocols. The resort - 4 minutes from the airport. Every room has a ocean view. Grand Decameron Los Cabos: The Goldilocks Resort Great Value

Not too big and not too small… It was just Right Good food and location. Service was very good. I would and have recommended this resort to my friends. My second stay here and while COVID protocols made it different and difficult. It still did not disappoint…!

Grand Decameron Panama: Great staff amazing resort

As always the Royal Decameron Panamá was beautiful. They went above and beyond with cleaning, food preparation and distribution. Staff provided gentle reminders for guests to wear masks and tables and chairs were kept a good distance apart. Our rep did a great job coordinating a lab to do our pcr tests. Results cam back in about 12 hours. I also need to point out that our Ttipcentral rep Susan Snider did a stupendous job getting our travel documents together. Thank you

Large property. Nice beach. Silty ocean, not clear like Yucatan. Good facilities and rooms. Several decades old, pretty good maintenance. Very good staff. Beautiful sunsets. Many pools, inc. quiet one.

I've been to at least 20 resorts all over Mexico and would rate Royal Decamaron as the worst I've been too. The staff are great and usually tried their best, the management and facilities are very poor. For the whole week we had no hot water, only luke warm and this was for the entire resort. They charge $21 USD for the room safe, the food was very poor and not a decent cup of coffee to be had. I went to complain to the WestJet rep but there was a line up of people wanting to get out of the  [... read more]resort referencing mold problems, the uncomfortableness of the rooms and overall safety. Royal Decamaron usually comes up as one of the cheaper 4 star resorts but they manage to charge you the extras once you get there (like the fee for the safe and poor quality of food). Pay the extra money and go to a better resort.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Very disappointed

The resort was very clean and we saw constant cleaning and sanitizing going on during our visit. Room were clean and comfortable and most staff were very accommodating. Unfortunately that's where it ends. The food was terrible (dried out meats and fish), not much choice of vegetables and at breakfast, alot of the time there was no bacon and if you wanted an omelet, hardly any mushrooms onions etc were available. That resort was closed down! Don't waste your money.

The food was not so good. Whole resort was very clean. Stuff was usually polite. Drinks were amazing. The beach was incredibly clean, water was unbelievable. Mediterranean Ala carte restaurant menu was poor and the food was not tasty.

The resort was in good repair and ongoing upgrades. Missed the small fridges that were being removed. The staff were very good. However, 90 % of the quests were locals so it was hard to socialize. It appeared that the buffet was adapted to Mexico clients, chicken,chicken, chicken. Not the the level as my previous visit. There was constant changes to the WestJet flight times and no recognition of the Mexico daylight saving time change.

This resort is not a 4*. More like a good 3*. Too many people arriving at the same time. Rooms not available until 3pm. Had to wait. Given the wrong room & bed requirements. The grounds were well kept. We found out after a week where they had the nightly entertainment. Lobby bar small with people watching hockey on one screen and curling on another. No music. They did not have much of any so-called international alcohol. Their house wine was decent. Food was decent too. Too much mex [... read more]ican type of food although food was abundant enough. You had to ask for bacon in the morning. They kept it hidden behind the fresh omelette station. The a la cartes were okay. Nothing authentic and most of the meat as overcooked. But one did have the option of 5 a la cartes per week. The cleaning staff were friendly but I wasn't happy that they still entered the room even though I had the "do not enter" sign on the door. If you are looking for a vacation that is very reasonable and pretty good value for your money... you will be overall satisfied as long as you have no expectations. There is no fridge or coffee machine in the rooms and you have to pay 50 pesos per day for the key safe. The lounge chairs on the beach are hard plastic, like the plastic stackable summer chairs so extremely hard to lie on so you'll need a floatie. All in all you are still getting good value as we probably saved upwards of 500-700 dollars for the 9 day vacation.
